Today I finally got the Giga Bowser trophy on Smash Bros. Melee.

My friends and I had a fun discussion in my Art Appreciation class about what we saw in our trip to the Birmingham Museum of Art. Everyone had their favorites and had a lot to say about them.

Yesterday, at another board I go to, there was a guy who badly hacked the board, causing everyone (including me >_>) to go by their user ID number as their username. Then, the hacker changed each of our usernames to big numbers with a decimal point somewheres (counting the decimal point, I think each number was about 12 digits) twice, making it nearly impossible to tell who is who there (that is definitely one way to get a MEGATON of confusion, believe me!). Even stranger, the hacker was often changing the colours of our usernames constantly, to try and add to the confusion. The hacker was ecen able to change the gender of everyone to female (at that forum, your normal colour depends on your gender and your rank (being a guy, and a regular there, my normal username colour is light blue, but that person changed it to light pink (that's the colour of the username of a regular girl there)) in the usernames (bozo... >_>). Fortunately, everything was undone.

I wouldn't call this event much of an "adventure" though.

Today.. I listened to Elliott Smith's xo album for the first time. Holy potatoes. The opening song, "Sweet Adeline" is to die for. It gives me chills, it's so awesome. I downloaded a patch for my SMW hack today that seems to allow the user to enable what Lakitus and Puntin' Chucks (they are the variety of Chargin' Chucks that kick footballs BTW). With it, I might just be able to make a makeshift, SMW version of a kind of Lakitu in Yoshi's Island called Thunder Lakitu. I have yet to test the patch though, but it might be fun.

While I was playing Mario Kart: Double Dash!! against my brother earlier today, we were playing in GP on Mushroom City (I was controlling Waluigi and Bowser Jr., he had Mario and Diddy Kong), when on one of the laps (I think it was lap 2), my brother accidently ran into a Bob-Omb kart and got blown into the air. While that was happening, I managed to get a Bob-Omb item (they aren't exactly one of my favourites; I prefer Bowser's Shells and Fireballs more), and I launched it backwards just as my brother was in the air. Not long after his characters came down (obviously his back seat character was in trouble), my Bob-Omb exploded while my brother was near it, and it knocked him into the air just a second or two after he hit the Bob-Omb kart! I couldn't resist laughing at what I did, and it was definitely bad luck for my brother. Of course, it would have been even funnier if it happened to a computer opponent.

Well, this happened twice last week, but it was funny nonetheless.

There were two times last week when I was playing Mario Kart: Double Dash!! with my brother in All-Cup Tour. When we got to Rainbow Road (I won the race just before Rainbow Road), we each got a Rocket Start at the start, but when we got to the first set of zippers you have to pass over, I somehow was able to push my brother away from me while we were in mid-air (obviously we were neck and neck), and both times, I "pushed" him enough to make him not make it to the next part of the track, due to the fact my kart was slightly heavier than his. Talk about misfortune!

I did some work on the second castle in my SMW hack today. As of such, there are some areas where parts of the floor and/or ceiling rise and fall (IOW, in some spots the player can be crushed to death), including one where the player has to time a tricky jump between some spikes. Fortunately, I have a power-up block before it.

I partially implemented an idea of mine to put locked doors of a few colours (red, yellow, green, blue) into my SMW hack today. In order to unlock the doors, the player simply has to hit a block which looks like a key the same colour as the colour of the lock on the door. Even though a locked door doesn't look like a regular door when unlocked, at least it works. :)

I got a programming project I was working on fully operational. Then I found out that the people who need to use it are missing a thousand other things that I didn't realize were necessary because they were already integrated into my computer system. So now I'm scrambling to figure out a simple way to meld the other components into my project. But it was still cool to get it semi-working! Yay for halfway-finished jobs! Woo! :D

Another moment for me today, but earlier today when I won a Magneton plushie (it was mr_pikachu's turn at the time), the Pokemon I ended up randomizing ended up being Magneton. It was quite a surprise that mr_pikachu won the second Magneton plushie, IOW, I never would have expected him (or anyone else) to win a plushie of the same Pokemon I recently won a plushie of. Shocking!

RAWR, back again, I just returned from the mall. I bought a new pair of checkered vans (R.I.P. to the ratty ones my mom threw away!), as well as a sticker for my car that reads: "OFFICIAL NINTENDO GAME TESTER". It's the best sticker ever. It's yellow with black font, and has the official nintendo font as well. It's placed next to my other sticker that reads, "My Other Transport is the Millenium Falcon".I feel so proud to be a nerdy gamer chick. :D

Well, it looks like I'm finally on the trail for a potential summer internship! I've been turned down by 6 different companies already who were supported by my university. So, I went to one of my organizations, and someone I knew told me that they had been thinking about offering me a position at her business! I'm going to visit her office next month to see what it's like.

Well, looks like my locked door idea for my SMW hack isn't working quite the way I wanted it to, so instead of giving it up (I'm obviously not giving up the locked doors), I've felt I just had to re-design them, as it seems like having the lock in the middle seems to be "cut in half" when a locked door is unlocked by its corresponding key block.

I'm just laughing with a friend about a Freudian slip I had last week, which you shall now have the pleasure of hearing.

My parents and I were watching an episode of Frasier in which Frasier is dating a Physical Education teacher. However, he doesn't like the way the P.E. teacher runs her class, as it reminds him of poor treatment he used to receive by P.E. teachers when he was in school.

Well, my dad had to leave briefly during this, and so when he returned, I let him know what had happened:

"Basically, Frasier didn"t like the way she treated kids when doing her job as a Gym leader."

Then I thought for a moment about what I had said.

I made some real progress on my Pokemon Fire Red game earlier today, getting the first two badges. My next goal there is to get the other two starters with the help of my Pokemon Leaf Green game and my GBA link cable, and that's going to mean trading two male Bulbasaur and two male Charmander to Fire Red through a few Leaf Green restarts(since I chose Squirtle as my starter, he has evolved into a Wartortle already; I'm obviously going to choose Squirtle in Leaf Green as well), for the main reason that many of the Pokemon I catch in each Pokemon game I have are male.

Got a 92 on my biology final! Way better than I thought I would do! Particularily with questions like "Yersinia Pestis causes what illness?"

Managed to find the Go-kart Rally center, got to actually DRIFT for real instead of watching those racers on screen.

Although my timing 5ux0rz :lol: Too much drifting around I guess, or could be that girl who drove in the center of the track so slowly. Or could be me rubbing the sides of the walls too much, but then eh, the right side of the go-kart was slightly wider than the left (I sat slightly to the left), and the fact slipped my mind too many times as I tried to drive as close to the side to minimize the time and distance.

Oh, and crashed quite a few times, both with the wall and other drivers, which wouldn't earn me any popularity points :P But eh, I had tons of fun, if only for ten minutes, so that's great.

In the previous days of playing Mario Kart: Double Dash!'s Grand Prix on 100 CC, I used to have some troubles coming on first on some races regardless of what cup I ended up choosing to race on. But now, I started to get used to using two of the light characters, and I found myself to be good on 100 CC with a light kart rather than a medium one, which I tend to use for most racing overall in the game. So today, just after winning all but one race in a 100 CC All Cup Tour, I managed to make a sweep there recently this week (I believe I got the sweep twice now). Maybe someday I might be better in 150 CC this way...

Today I started ASB. And picked up on competitive battling again, well a bit of it. Also got around reading TPML to where it goes. And a few days back Pokemonese. Meh.

I'm on TPM after being deprived of the internet for a week. And even though my internet access will be problematic once more when I leave after Christmas, I'm glad I'm getting back up-to-date for now.

Today, I am proud of the fact that I did absoutely nothing and had a quiet day. No work, no school or no socialising. I wanted a quiet day to myself and this is indeed the outcome!
