How is everyone's Saturday going so far?

mr_pikachu
5th November 2005, 04:22 PM
Why do you want to know? Are you a stalker?

Knight of Time
5th November 2005, 04:23 PM
Why would anyone want to be a stalker when that could get them into trouble?

mr_pikachu
5th November 2005, 04:25 PM
Isn't the fact that some people are stalkers proof that they have reasons to participate in that activity?

Fett One
5th November 2005, 04:37 PM
Why do they do it though?

Lady Vulpix
5th November 2005, 08:02 PM
Why would anyone assume someone is a stalker just for asking how our Saturday's going anyway?

mr_pikachu
5th November 2005, 08:08 PM
Couldn't the information we reveal through answering the question be used to a stalker's benefit?

Fett One
5th November 2005, 08:09 PM
How could that information be beneficial?

mr_pikachu
5th November 2005, 08:20 PM
Wouldn't such information give the stalker clues about the user's daily life and schedule as well as about the user's offline identity?

Lady Vulpix
5th November 2005, 09:23 PM
How intimidating would a stalker be if he told you things you posted on a message board?

mr_pikachu
5th November 2005, 09:27 PM
Wouldn't it at least mean that the stalker was focused enough on tracking you to know what you said online? What about the fear of what else such a person might know, or whether they might use private information (like Social Security numbers) to harm you?

Lady Vulpix
5th November 2005, 09:31 PM
But who would post social security numbers online?

Fett One
6th November 2005, 11:47 AM
Couldn't a person who is new to the internet be dumb enough to think it will be safe to post something like that on-line?

mr_pikachu
6th November 2005, 10:37 PM
And don't many people post other private information online, such as their credit card numbers? What if someone thought their information was safe when it really wasn't?

Lady Vulpix
7th November 2005, 04:41 AM
Then shouldn't people be more careful about what kind of informtion they give and who they give it to, rather than freaking out when someone asks them how their saturday was?
BTW, did you know you have 5555 posts?

mr_pikachu
7th November 2005, 04:48 AM
Can't people still be tricked by receivers who appear to be secure or honest?

And do you believe 5,555 to be an unusual number of posts?

Lady Vulpix
7th November 2005, 12:00 PM
Isn't it a nice number?

And don't most browsers display the security information of the site they're browsing?

mr_pikachu
7th November 2005, 01:58 PM
What if their users are too careless to pay attention? Or, worse yet, what if they don't even know what it means?

Lady Vulpix
7th November 2005, 02:41 PM
Should we try to find out who doesn't know and teach them?

mr_pikachu
7th November 2005, 03:08 PM
How would you discover who was uneducated in this matter?

Fett One
7th November 2005, 03:15 PM
Wouldn't the uneducated stand out since they will be the ones that keep posting things that they shouldn't be posting?

mr_pikachu
7th November 2005, 03:30 PM
But how can we figure out who all of them are if they post what they shouldn't post in all sorts of different places around the internet?

Fett One
8th November 2005, 06:10 PM
Do we really have to find all of them? Couldn't you settle with just finding a handfull of them?

mr_pikachu
8th November 2005, 06:13 PM
What good would it do if we only helped a handful of them?

Fett One
8th November 2005, 09:09 PM
Isn't helping a handful of people better than helping no one?

mr_pikachu
8th November 2005, 09:11 PM
But wouldn't the impact be more valuable if we made the effort to help everyone?

Fett One
9th November 2005, 04:10 PM
What if most of these people don't want to be helped? Would that diminish the value of your help towards those that want it?

mr_pikachu
10th November 2005, 12:51 AM
More importantly, if some people don't want to be helped, should we force our help upon them?

Fett One
10th November 2005, 09:39 PM
What would be the morally right thing to do?

mr_pikachu
10th November 2005, 09:43 PM
Do morals have to be the sole deciding factor? What about the old adage, "The ends justify the means"?

Fett One
11th November 2005, 01:03 PM
Didn't you ever hear the expression "the ends don't always justify the means"?

mr_pikachu
11th November 2005, 01:53 PM
Isn't that expression merely a joke?

Fett One
11th November 2005, 10:51 PM
How is it merely a joke?

mr_pikachu
12th November 2005, 10:23 PM
Does anybody really take that expression seriously?

Fett One
12th November 2005, 11:48 PM
If people don't take it seriously, then doesn't that mean they have no problem with doing things such as blowing up a mall and killing thousands simply because they wanted one person that was in the mall dead?

Lady Vulpix
13th November 2005, 12:19 PM
Do you know who created that saying?

mr_pikachu
13th November 2005, 05:24 PM
Is it even clear when that saying was created?

Lady Vulpix
13th November 2005, 07:24 PM
Wasn't it Maquiavelo who created it?

mr_pikachu
13th November 2005, 07:32 PM
Who the heck is Maquiavelo?

Lady Vulpix
13th November 2005, 08:16 PM
Is it possible that the name they taught me at school was not his real name :/? Could his real name be Machiavelli, since he was Italian?

mr_pikachu
13th November 2005, 08:37 PM
Are you saying that the teachers in your school are incompetent?

Fett One
13th November 2005, 10:33 PM
If you can't trust teachers due to incompetence, then who can you trust?

mr_pikachu
13th November 2005, 10:40 PM
Is it possible that you can't trust anyone?

Fett One
13th November 2005, 11:20 PM
Does that mean you don't trust yourself?

mr_pikachu
13th November 2005, 11:32 PM
Could it be that I lack faith in myself?

Lady Vulpix
14th November 2005, 04:20 AM
Then why don't you try to change that?

And isn't it more a matter of stupidity on the historian's side to change the names of the people they write about, like Cristoforo Colombo being called Cristóbal Colón in Spanish and Christopher Columbus in English?

Fett One
14th November 2005, 03:26 PM
Where did you find out that information about Christopher Columbus?

mr_pikachu
14th November 2005, 04:26 PM
Did you locate those facts on an internet site?

Fett One
14th November 2005, 10:39 PM
Have you attempted to find them on the internet?

mr_pikachu
15th November 2005, 12:42 AM
Why would I search for them when I can easily get those facts in this thread?

Lady Vulpix
15th November 2005, 05:04 AM
Will you believe that I heard that on a TV show before my high school history teacher said it?

Did anyone here think that Christopher Columbus was his real name?

mr_pikachu
15th November 2005, 05:11 AM
Would naively believing that make someone a fool?

Fett One
15th November 2005, 05:40 PM
Can you really be considered a fool since schools don't bother to teach (atleast the ones I went to) his real name?

mr_pikachu
15th November 2005, 05:44 PM
Why did you ask if I am a fool? Didn't you realize I was referring to others who might not have known the truth? And is a poor educational system a valid excuse for a lack of knowledge in this day and age? Can't people obtain information through other outlets, such as the internet?

Is that just way too many questions for one post?

Fett One
16th November 2005, 04:15 PM
How can it be too many post when there is no post limit?

mr_pikachu
17th November 2005, 01:27 AM
Don't you mean that there is no question limit?

Lady Vulpix
17th November 2005, 12:02 PM
Shouldn't it be obvious that there's no question limit since the rules don't mention one?

mr_pikachu
17th November 2005, 12:04 PM
Isn't it clear that I was making sure I wasn't giving more questions than the following posters could effectively answer?

Lady Vulpix
17th November 2005, 04:57 PM
[color=hotpink]Do you doubt our ability to answer many consecutive questions?

mr_pikachu
17th November 2005, 04:59 PM
But wouldn't it annoy you to have to do so?

Lady Vulpix
17th November 2005, 05:03 PM
Were you here when someone posted a poll with 500 questions and a few people actually answered them all?

mr_pikachu
17th November 2005, 06:18 PM
When was this done? And who posted the questions?

Fett One
17th November 2005, 08:45 PM
Who answered all 500 questions?

Lady Vulpix
18th November 2005, 05:10 AM
Should we ask other people who were around by the time we moved to the vB, since I'm not quite sure?

mr_pikachu
18th November 2005, 02:03 PM
Who are the other people to which you are referring?

Fett One
18th November 2005, 07:36 PM
Are those people still here?

mr_pikachu
19th November 2005, 01:37 AM
How should I know?

Fett One
19th November 2005, 11:55 AM
Who would know?

Lady Vulpix
20th November 2005, 06:53 AM
Suzie? Zak? Sam? Becca? Danny? Amy? Anyone else who posted on PCG back then? Have you seen so many one-word questions together before?

Fett One
20th November 2005, 12:31 PM
Is this the first time anyone has ever posted one-word questions in this game?

mr_pikachu
20th November 2005, 10:56 PM
Huh? What kind of a question is that? Do you expect us to go back and check all the versions of this game just to answer your query?

Lady Vulpix
21st November 2005, 03:51 AM
Wouldn't that be impossible, since the infamous version 1 has long since been deleted?

mr_pikachu
21st November 2005, 03:59 AM
What was infamous about it?

Lady Vulpix
21st November 2005, 02:10 PM
Weren't you there to see its 1000+ posts, of which about a half were pure SPAM?

mr_pikachu
21st November 2005, 02:12 PM
Don't you realize I wasn't nearly as active in PCG back then as I am now?

Fett One
21st November 2005, 02:58 PM
When did you become really active in PCG?

Lady Vulpix
21st November 2005, 03:25 PM
Wasn't there still a chance you might have seen it? Isn't it interesting how a topic that was originally a pit of SPAM has evolved into a fun game?

Fett One
21st November 2005, 07:06 PM
Wasn't it the new rules that got rid of all the spam?

mr_pikachu
21st November 2005, 11:46 PM
What new rules were added to accomplish that?

Lady Vulpix
22nd November 2005, 04:12 AM
Is he referring to the rule about staying on topic?

Fett One
22nd November 2005, 03:02 PM
Didn't the 5 post in 24 hours rule help cut down the spam the most?

Lady Vulpix
23rd November 2005, 05:13 AM
Could it have been a combination of both?

Fett One
23rd November 2005, 07:57 AM
Besides those two rules, could an other rule have helped out as well?

mr_pikachu
23rd November 2005, 04:17 PM
What rule are you referring to?

Fett One
24th November 2005, 12:40 AM
Wasn't I asking if there was another rule?

Lady Vulpix
24th November 2005, 05:25 PM
Wasn't the "never speak out of a question" rule already in effect on version one?
Aren't those 3 the only rules of this game?

mr_pikachu
24th November 2005, 11:47 PM
Could there be so-called "unwritten rules" that help to control the gameplay?

Fett One
25th November 2005, 01:19 AM
What kind of unwritten rules could there be?

mr_pikachu
25th November 2005, 01:29 AM
How about "Don't **** off the mods"? Would that be a good example?

Lady Vulpix
25th November 2005, 04:34 AM
Doesn't that count for all members rather than just mods?

mr_pikachu
25th November 2005, 06:29 PM
Couldn't mods do more to control those who they deem to be unruly, though?

Fett One
25th November 2005, 08:39 PM
Can supermods do more than regular mods?

mr_pikachu
25th November 2005, 08:40 PM
Isn't that fairly obvious by the title of "Super Mod"? Would it make sense for them to only have as much power as a regular mod?

Lady Vulpix
26th November 2005, 05:30 AM
Shouldn't all members deserve the same respect, though?

mr_pikachu
26th November 2005, 05:36 AM
Aren't there some members who deserve more (or less) respect than others?

Lady Vulpix
26th November 2005, 05:40 AM
What kind of members are you referring to? The ones that only come online to cause trouble?

mr_pikachu
26th November 2005, 05:44 AM
Why would you say that?

Lady Vulpix
26th November 2005, 06:02 AM
Can you think of any other members who would deserve less respect than others?

mr_pikachu
26th November 2005, 06:03 AM
Would someone who has never posted deserve the same amount of respect as, say, Kevin?

Lady Vulpix
26th November 2005, 06:14 AM
Why not? Why wouldn't you respect them, if you don't even know them?

(Shall we find out tomorrow, or later tonight, since you've exhausted your 5 posts?)

Fett One
26th November 2005, 04:07 PM
Who says you have to respect a person you know nothing about? Don't people have to earn respect and to do that don't you have to know them?

mr_pikachu
27th November 2005, 05:23 PM
Wouldn't you agree with Fett's explanation, Gabi?

Lady Vulpix
28th November 2005, 04:11 AM
But why? Would you like to be treated badly by people you don't know, just because they don't know you?

mr_pikachu
28th November 2005, 04:16 AM
Who said a lack of respect meant getting unfair treatment?

Fett One
28th November 2005, 07:25 PM
Does a lack of respect and unfair treatment go hand-in-hand?

mr_pikachu
28th November 2005, 11:08 PM
Why should they?

Lady Vulpix
29th November 2005, 04:48 AM
Then what does lack of respect mean to you?

Chris 2.1
29th November 2005, 04:44 PM
Do most games get into such deep discussions? Isn't it interesting how we can talk on serious issues all from a game?

mr_pikachu
29th November 2005, 04:48 PM
Is that because many games are not intended to evoke discussion?

Fett One
29th November 2005, 07:44 PM
Isn't this the only game on the boards that has discussions?

mr_pikachu
29th November 2005, 07:51 PM
What about Lingo? Didn't you see our discussion awhile back about whether staff members hold grudges?

Fett One
29th November 2005, 10:38 PM
How could I have seen it if I don't play lingo?

mr_pikachu
29th November 2005, 10:39 PM
Why would you deprive yourself of the pleasure of playing Lingo?

Fett One
30th November 2005, 06:48 PM
What makes you think I would enjoy playing Lingo?

mr_pikachu
30th November 2005, 11:03 PM
How could anyone not enjoy playing Lingo? Isn't it a universally fun game, like Pokemon Hangman or The Riddle Game?

Lady Vulpix
1st December 2005, 04:38 AM
Is anything universally fun?

Wouldn't Lingo be more fun if it had more players, anyway?

Fett One
1st December 2005, 07:51 PM
How many people play Lingo?

mr_pikachu
1st December 2005, 07:52 PM
Why don't you simply check the thread?

Fett One
1st December 2005, 09:52 PM
Wouldn't it be easier for you to tell me?

mr_pikachu
1st December 2005, 09:58 PM
If I told you, then what incentive would you have to open the thread and become interested in the game?

Fett One
2nd December 2005, 01:24 PM
What if I look at the game and still have no interest in it?

mr_pikachu
2nd December 2005, 01:54 PM
Wouldn't that show that you have poor taste when it comes to online forum games?

Lady Vulpix
3rd December 2005, 11:48 AM
Don't you think offending someone's tastes isn't a good way to get them on your side?

Fett One
3rd December 2005, 07:31 PM
Why would I be offended by his comment? It's only his opinion, as such how can it be hurtful?

mr_pikachu
3rd December 2005, 07:35 PM
Did Gabi just assume you would be hurt by a comment made over the internet?

Lady Vulpix
4th December 2005, 04:42 AM
Are you implying that's impossible? Do you know how easy it is to strike a nerve on someone you don't know? Hasn't it happened to you before? Wasn't there at least one writer who said s/he was hurt by your comments in the past?

mr_pikachu
4th December 2005, 04:45 AM
Are you keeping a tally? Should I be worried that you might be a stalker?

Lady Vulpix
4th December 2005, 05:11 AM
What use would keeping a tally be? And how could I possibly stalk you from Argentina?

mr_pikachu
4th December 2005, 05:19 AM
How can I trust the word of someone who, by believing them a possible stalker, I inherently distrust?

Lady Vulpix
4th December 2005, 05:38 AM
Do you really think I'm a stalker?
Why are so many people afraid of stalkers? How many of you have actually been stalked?

mr_pikachu
4th December 2005, 05:43 AM
How would we know if the whole idea of being a stalker (at least at first) is to observe someone from a distance?

Lady Vulpix
4th December 2005, 05:51 AM
In that case aren't we all stalkers? Aren't we all looking at each other's posts?
And still, does it count as stalking when you're just looking at what the others post on a public space?

(Shall we continue the conversation via PM or MSN, since I can't post here again for the next 6 hours?)

mr_pikachu
4th December 2005, 06:00 AM
Isn't an internet stalker's goal to know your identity, though? Do you think that's the goal of supposed "innocent" TPMers?

Shall I log onto MSN now?

Fett One
4th December 2005, 09:30 AM
Do the two of you prefer MSN over AIM?

Lady Vulpix
4th December 2005, 01:31 PM
How about no? Did you know he uses Trillian and I use GAIM?

Fett One
4th December 2005, 07:50 PM
What's GAIM? Also whats Trillian, since i have never heard of these two messenger programs?

mr_pikachu
4th December 2005, 07:53 PM
Why don't you run an internet search and find out?

Fett One
5th December 2005, 03:56 PM
What good would that do?

Lady Vulpix
5th December 2005, 04:09 PM
Wouldn't it answer your questions?

Fett One
5th December 2005, 05:35 PM
True but wouldn't it be faster for you to tell me since you already know about it?

mr_pikachu
5th December 2005, 09:18 PM
Why should we take time out of our days to do work for you? Will you be paying us?

Lady Vulpix
6th December 2005, 03:54 AM
And wouldn't you have already found out by now if you'd performed an Internet search when it was suggested?

Fett One
6th December 2005, 07:39 PM
Wouldn't it have been faster to tell me about the programs rather than telling me to look it up myself since that is wasting time?

mr_pikachu
6th December 2005, 11:05 PM
Which method would have been easier for me and Gabi?

Fett One
8th December 2005, 05:32 PM
Aren't both methods ralatively easy?

mr_pikachu
8th December 2005, 05:35 PM
But if one was easier than the other, wouldn't it be logical for Gabi and me to prefer that method?

Lady Vulpix
8th December 2005, 06:54 PM
And isn't it easier for you to perform an Internet search than to convince us to post a description?

Fett One
9th December 2005, 12:14 AM
Doesn't doing things this way give us stuff to talk about?

mr_pikachu
9th December 2005, 02:12 PM
To what way are you referring?

Gengachu
9th December 2005, 09:08 PM
Did you know that he was talking about the asking questions stuff?

mr_pikachu
10th December 2005, 12:41 AM
Does "he" refer to Fett or to me?

Lady Vulpix
10th December 2005, 06:19 AM
Why would it refer to you when it was a reply to your question about what Jeff meant?

mr_pikachu
10th December 2005, 06:22 AM
How can we be sure that was what he was replying about? Are you implying that you are a psychic?

Lady Vulpix
10th December 2005, 06:51 AM
Wasn't it obvious? What does being a psychic have to do with it?

mr_pikachu
10th December 2005, 06:53 AM
How can you be absolutely certain of the assumption you're making if you didn't read Gengachu's mind?

Lady Vulpix
10th December 2005, 07:02 AM
Wasn't his post right after yours?
And didn't it contain a reasonable answer to your question? Would it make sense for it to mean anything else?

mr_pikachu
10th December 2005, 07:12 AM
But how can you be certain? What if there's a possibility you overlooked?

Lady Vulpix
10th December 2005, 07:55 AM
Can you think of any?

Fett One
10th December 2005, 01:17 PM
How can there be other possiblities if the post did indeed contain a reasonable answer?

Lady Vulpix
15th December 2005, 01:21 PM
Should we take the lack of response as a 'no'?

mr_pikachu
15th December 2005, 06:22 PM
Could another possibility simply be that I was too entrenched in final exams to answer? Isn't that an example of how a reasonable answer might not always be correct? And why did you completely ignore Fett's post, Gabi?

Fett One
15th December 2005, 08:57 PM
How did she ignore my post?

mr_pikachu
15th December 2005, 09:05 PM
Doesn't the lack of a response to it indicate that she ignored it?

Fett One
15th December 2005, 09:59 PM
Wasn't she answering my question with a "no"?

Lady Vulpix
16th December 2005, 04:47 AM
Why did you think I ignored it?

darktyranitar
16th December 2005, 05:54 PM
Is it mr_pikachu who is ignoring Fett's post?

Fett One
19th December 2005, 08:11 PM
Why do you think he ignored my post?

Lady Vulpix
20th December 2005, 12:28 PM
Shall we stopped questioning who ignored what and find something more interesting to talk about?
And why isn't anyone playing Lingo?

Fett One
20th December 2005, 01:20 PM
Have you noticed that it seems no one has been playing any of the games over the past few days?

Knight of Time
20th December 2005, 07:39 PM
Do you believe the reason nobody is playing any games here too often is because either they don't have time to play them, or they possibly don't have enough interest to post regularly in the games?

darktyranitar
21st December 2005, 11:41 AM
How about you? Do you think that you post regularly at the games topics in the past few days?

Lady Vulpix
21st December 2005, 02:35 PM
Is everyone so busy these days?

Fett One
21st December 2005, 07:49 PM
Don't people usually get busy during the holiday season?

darktyranitar
22nd December 2005, 04:01 AM
Then are we the busy people, considering that we're still posting in this topic?

Does it take so long to post in this topic that it would stop us from doing all the things we have to do?

Fett One
22nd December 2005, 01:26 PM
Couldn't it take some people a while to post if they can't think of anything to write?

Gabi, out of curiosity, how come you have 4 candles lit in your sig when Hannukah doesn't even start until Saturday night?

Lady Vulpix
22nd December 2005, 02:13 PM
Don't you know an extra candle is lit each day until Hannukah (Monday)?

Fett One
22nd December 2005, 07:45 PM
So, Hannukah starts on Sunday night not Saturday night?

mr_pikachu
24th December 2005, 02:49 AM
Are you ignorant of the practices of Judaism, Fett?

And are you angry at me for not posting in Lingo while I was without internet access, Gabi?

Lady Vulpix
24th December 2005, 08:55 AM
Why would I be angry at you for not doing something you had no obligation to do, and moreover, were unable to do?

mr_pikachu
24th December 2005, 04:49 PM
What about your previous posts in which you asked why nobody was playing Lingo? And have you forgotten the times you've posted in Fanfic asking me why I haven't been playing?

Fett One
24th December 2005, 09:11 PM
Are you ignorant of the practices of Judaism, Fett?

I'm jewish so how could I be ignorant of jewish practices? Since when does getting the day a holiday start wrong count as ignorance?

How does being curios about why your not posting count as being angry?

mr_pikachu
25th December 2005, 02:15 AM
Wouldn't a similar offense, like me never remembering what day Easter is, show that I am somewhat ignorant of the practices of Christianity, my own religion?

And have you analyzed the overall tone of Gabi's posts about Lingo to determine the most likely emotional state they convey? If not, how could you make an argument against her being angry?

Lady Vulpix
25th December 2005, 08:46 AM
Aren't you reading too much into my posts, Brian? Isn't it clear enough that I just enjoy playing the game and don't want it to die, and that my question about why no one was playing Lingo wasn't directed specifically to you?

mr_pikachu
25th December 2005, 06:07 PM
What about your post in the Writers Lounge awhile back, when you specifically asked why I wasn't playing Lingo, even stating my name in the question? Wasn't that an example of you directing your interrogation at me?

Lady Vulpix
26th December 2005, 03:54 AM
But wasn't that post quite different from the one I made here?

Fett One
26th December 2005, 08:15 PM
Wouldn't it be better for the teo of you to finish this conversation over pm or aim?

darktyranitar
29th December 2005, 08:00 PM
If they do that, then what is the point of this topic? But still, can't they argue about something else?

sesshomaru
29th December 2005, 08:57 PM
Does the topic even have a point?

Fett One
29th December 2005, 09:34 PM
Don't all topics have a point?

mr_pikachu
30th December 2005, 01:12 AM
Do topics have to have points?

darktyranitar
30th December 2005, 03:21 AM
Well, this seem pointless, isn't it?

mr_pikachu
30th December 2005, 03:33 AM
If something is pointless, does that necessarily make it bad?

Fett One
30th December 2005, 10:41 PM
How can something that is pointless be bad?

mr_pikachu
31st December 2005, 03:41 AM
Would pointless things be good, then?

darktyranitar
31st December 2005, 04:51 AM
Are you hinting that doing something pointless is good?

Lady Vulpix
31st December 2005, 06:41 AM
Can't something be neither good or bad? Just pointless?

Is this topic really pointless? Isn't it here for us to have fun with it?

Fett One
31st December 2005, 07:29 PM
Could it then be referred to as pointless fun?

darktyranitar
1st January 2006, 12:09 AM
Well, are we having fun now?

Magmar
1st January 2006, 08:56 AM
Don't all topics have a point?

What planet are you from? ;)

Lady Vulpix
1st January 2006, 01:34 PM
Wouldn't it be interesting if people from different planets posted here?

Magmar
1st January 2006, 05:14 PM
How would you know if they were? Would you check their social security numbers?

mr_pikachu
1st January 2006, 06:27 PM
Why would people from other planets have Social Security numbers?

Fett One
1st January 2006, 08:23 PM
How would they even acquire social security numbers?

mr_pikachu
1st January 2006, 09:44 PM
Could they even obtain U.S. citizenship in the first place?

phaedrus
1st January 2006, 10:47 PM
Wouldn't they be able to apply for a green card?

mr_pikachu
2nd January 2006, 12:26 AM
Could they get a green card by naming another planet as their "country of origin"?

Fett One
2nd January 2006, 02:08 AM
Wouldn't the government be more interested in studying the aliens in a labatory rather than letting them live her on earth?

mr_pikachu
2nd January 2006, 02:36 AM
Isn't trapping and studying aliens in a laboratory something that could incite an interplanetary war?

Lady Vulpix
2nd January 2006, 05:05 AM
Who would want to be studied in a laboratory? Wouldn't they have the right to be mad if someone did that to them?

darktyranitar
3rd January 2006, 04:38 AM
How if things turned out otherwise? They are the one to put us in laboratory?

Lady Vulpix
3rd January 2006, 04:57 AM
Wouldn't that be equally cruel and unfair?

Fett One
3rd January 2006, 05:03 PM
Would it still be cruel if the person/alien was already dead (death due to natural causes) when it arrived at the labatory?

mr_pikachu
3rd January 2006, 11:41 PM
What if the family of the person/alien wanted the body back?

And do aliens even have families?

Lady Vulpix
4th January 2006, 03:52 AM
Don't they have to be born from other aliens? Or are you asking whether they are raised by their families?

darktyranitar
4th January 2006, 07:30 AM
What if the aliens were created from a single cell? In other word, what if they were merely clones?

Lady Vulpix
4th January 2006, 12:33 PM
Then wouldn't the beings they were cloned from count as family?
And why clone everyone if the alternative is much easier?

Fett One
4th January 2006, 01:48 PM
If the aliens don't want things to change from the way they are wouldn't cloning help keep it that way?

Lady Vulpix
4th January 2006, 05:51 PM
Could even that prevent things from changing?

phaedrus
4th January 2006, 07:52 PM
Wouldn't erroneous mutations keep the species from remaining the same?

mr_pikachu
5th January 2006, 12:17 AM
What if they had perfected cloning their own species sufficiently to prevent that?

And who is to say that the aliens would be animals in the sense we think of them? What if they were plant-based creatures instead?

Lady Vulpix
5th January 2006, 04:53 AM
How could plant-based creatures become that... animated?

Fett One
5th January 2006, 12:45 PM
Isn't radiation always a good way to cause that kind of mutation?

darktyranitar
6th January 2006, 07:55 AM
Don't you think radiation is a bit overused as a reason for mutation?

Fett One
6th January 2006, 07:56 PM
Do you know of a better way to cause mutation?

mr_pikachu
7th January 2006, 09:58 AM
Do you think darktyranitar is a mad scientist, Fett?

Lady Vulpix
7th January 2006, 04:12 PM
Does he seem like a mad scientist to you?

mr_pikachu
7th January 2006, 04:27 PM
Why would I believe him to be a mad scientist?

Fett One
7th January 2006, 09:27 PM
Wasn't it your idea since I never mentioned anything about mad scientist?

mr_pikachu
8th January 2006, 04:28 PM
What about your comment about him knowing how to cause mutation? Isn't that something a mad scientist would be interested in?

Fett One
8th January 2006, 04:44 PM
How does asking if he knows of other ways to cause mutation automatically mean he does know of other ways?

mr_pikachu
8th January 2006, 05:03 PM
Wasn't I simply asking what you thought?

phaedrus
8th January 2006, 06:51 PM
Who cares about what people think nowadays?

mr_pikachu
8th January 2006, 06:55 PM
What about propagandists? Don't they care about what they can get people to think?

Ace64
8th January 2006, 07:29 PM
Isn't all propaganda based on a sliver of truth?

mr_pikachu
8th January 2006, 07:44 PM
Why would it have to be?

Fett One
8th January 2006, 09:15 PM
What else could it be based off of?

mr_pikachu
9th January 2006, 12:39 AM
Couldn't it be based upon total fiction?

darktyranitar
9th January 2006, 11:59 AM
What if propaganda doesn't exist? Would the world be a better place?

Lady Vulpix
9th January 2006, 12:27 PM
How could we know?

Fett One
9th January 2006, 01:34 PM
Would it even be possible to get rid of all of the propaganda?

Lady Vulpix
9th January 2006, 04:00 PM
Will that ever be possible as long as there are people who want it?

Ace64
9th January 2006, 07:15 PM
Is it possible to get rid of those people?

Fett One
9th January 2006, 07:25 PM
How do you propose to do that?

darktyranitar
14th January 2006, 08:56 AM
Well, can't you just make some riot as a protest?

Fett One
14th January 2006, 02:23 PM
What good would that do?

mr_pikachu
14th January 2006, 08:08 PM
Wouldn't a riot only incite more propaganda?

phaedrus
14th January 2006, 08:17 PM
mr. pikachu, are you sure you're not talking about the infamous White Riot ("white riot/i wanna riot/white riot/a riot of my own")?

mr_pikachu
14th January 2006, 08:36 PM
Are those lyrics from a song, phaedrus? And as for race riots, aren't they an example of what I'm talking about?

darktyranitar
15th January 2006, 04:03 AM
Hey mr pikachu, is it legal to post right after one reply?
