how do I get leaf stone and rods???

The rods I know of:

Old Rod - The fisherman standing next to the second (fighting) gym.
Super Rod - A house in the town with the 7th Gym.

The rods are harder to use this time. You have to watch a line of dots, and quickly press A when some writing appears. You have to do it more than once with the Super Rod.
