...when he shuts the hell up. On the heels of the Garfield Randomizer comes "removing Garfield's speech". The results are golden:

The randomizer never appealed to me, but people have gotten hilarious results out of an eerie number of comics.

Googled it.

Page has been replaced by some kind of laser rave.

Not impressed.

[b][size=3] I seconded Heald.

Frankly speaking, I don't understand a thing in Magmar's random Garfield's strip. Even for Raz's strip, I do have to imagine what Garfield would to 'speak' at that time in order for me to understand the whole scene.

Removing Garfield's speech, Randomising comic blocks... Is it becoming of a trend for today's comic strips? If it is, thanks I still prefer my manga.

...Is it just me, or did Raz's comics look like complete, three panel strips, while Magmar's appears as three random panels that were merged?

Maybe the link(s?) to the page(s?) you're using would help clarify things.

Mine was done by my friend AJ, I thought it was funny personally.

I can't find the randomizer... wtf

...Is it just me, or did Raz's comics look like complete, three panel strips, while Magmar's appears as three random panels that were merged?His strip was just three random garfield panels. Mine were whole panels, only with Garfield's speech bubbles removed. The former isn't too funny, but the latter can be shockingly good.

Hey, I like "Garfield"... :notfunny:

But I'll admit, the "removing the speech balloon" thing IS pretty funny, though. :lol::yes:

But one of the things that's so great about the experiment is that, if Garfield does speak in thought balloons only, that this version of the Garfield universe is the one that would be experienced by a real onlooker.
That's the part of the above quote from a post in the first link I found via Google that I agree with, 'cause it's so dang true. :smilie: By getting rid of the thought balloons, it IS more realistic, 'cause hey, Jon can't read minds. :wink:

Garfield used to be reliably funny. Now, it's pretty much hit or miss... usually miss.
