Yes both ways are possible. :)

If you want to transfer Pokemon with different trainers from Pokemon Box to Pokemon Emerald your Pokemon Emerald will need 100+ caught in the Pokedex.

It also works with Fire Red and Leaf Green once you have the transfer machine on One Island fixed (and I think the 100+ pokémon rule applies as well). Doing block transfers of items between LG and Emerald is easy (because you don't need to take the pokémon out of the boxes to give them an item like you do in Ruby and Sapphire).

All this is mentioned in the relevant manuals (The Box manual doesn't mention Emerald, but the Emerald manual mentions Box).
