DISCLAIMER: Stick anything and everything you think is relevant to art of your RPG characters here. Comments should not actually be in art critic form unless the person who posted the picture asks for it; it's more to stuff like "WOW that looks exactly like [insert character here]!" or "Awww, you got [insert character here]'s hair wrong!" etc. Well, no, I don't want to make too many rules about what and how to comment so just use your integrity? Do bear in mind you might tick the artist off if you comment out of vein, though.

Rules, in no particular order
1. No double-posting... there's a Modify option on the post for a reason...
2. No nudity for reasons including that this would NOT be a mod-approved topic and thus nonexistent if nudity was allowed
3. If it's a large picture, try to link it and not display it with the img tag.
4. No outrageous bashing allowed. If you feel there is something horribly wrong with the picture, say it so it's reasonable.
5. Comments work like normal replies. Pictures though come in forms:

Personal Comments: The picture was done with a pencil, and then done again with a Uniball pen! ( you know, those cheap things at Target!) Personal Comments: I was just randomly looking through some hairstyles for my character, and wah lah, I found one that sort of suited the description I had in my mind.. but of course Craven doesn't look at all like that..just her hair is similiar. I personally would never think of trying that colour(blonde on Asian skin? Naaaaah), but heck, Craven's dark skinned, so it would make a nice contrast. ^_^ Note that I said Craveb was inspired by this pic, not entirely based on it, so her hair isn't entirely like that.. but ^_^ oh well.

Personal Comments: I think this picture is absolutely adorable! It's actually for a fic I'm writing, so the pic Zakary and Zakary in the RPG are a bit different (Uhh no tail and inu ears for Zaky). I also love it because Zakary Hawk is based off of Jesse. Who was the inspiration for the 'Zak' character in the first place, credit goes to Jesse for drawing up himself in a sense. ^^'' (Jesse is an offline friend). Oh and ignore the bra on his head >.<''

This is when she was little and met Gavin for the first time after looking after his lost brother, Aaron. I've finally fixed my method of drawing eyes again, so this makes me extremely happy. Yay! Personal Comments: His horns are not exactly as I want them, so I'll be invisioning those a bit more but I rather do like his facial expression. Letting off some steam, quite literally. ^_^

A revival post is nothing unless someone responds to it... so let's see what the Art God can do...

Hmm... The sketch in the top corner is good.. but I always see people draw dragons with disproportionate limbs for some reason. Head looks good, a bit... off though. It looks like he has one hellova overbite with the position of his teeth. Looking at the horns, I like how they seem to be coming through the skin, like they're protrusions of the skull and vertebrae, but then again looking at it makes me wonder about where they fit in/on the skull. They could be attached to the verts, or some funky extensions of the back of the skull. Sorry, biologist in me talking..

My suggestions: Either shorten the upper jaw, or extend the lower jaw to match up with the other. As it stands now, there looks like a bit of clearance between upper and lower jaw when they close. Not very effective for an organism. Now the Horns I do like, however I'm trying to envision the skull of the animal and having a difficult time. Either the horns are attached to the skull, or they're "floaters" in the muscle and skin. The web membrane is interesting, and makes me start asking evolutionary biology questions about it. ^^U

Needs some minor work, but the Art God approves.

No offense, but I don't like critical comments on my art unless I ask for some suggestions. ^_^;;; I draw for fun and it was just a sketch. As for the jaw, when you stick your head up as such in teh picture, it is natural for a loose jaw to slacken back a bit, creating the dramatic appearance of a large overbite.

As for the horns, (and as I said) they are not drawn the exact way that I wish them to be. The top ones would be attached more to the spine and the side ones to hard cartilage packed a bit around the dragon's jawline and throat, to protect it. I was just drawing quickly and fo rfun.

Okay I think I should make it clear that this isn't exactly an 'art crit' topic per se... it was originally supposed to be a fangirl/fanboy space where we could fangirl/fanboy over any art of characters that turned up in here, or say things like "Oh noes that doesn't look like my character!" and perhaps give crit if the artist asked for it, but after I dressed that up in official language, I suppose it wasn't so clear any more.

Description of Picture/Name of Character: 7 Tailed Fox/Wolf/thingie, that likes to kill people but is utterly loveable.

Reference: Not really a reference, if anyone has read Divinity or what ever RPG Kalah used this in.
Personal Comments: This was actually a model for the Christmas Tree either last year or the year before. I went back and detailed the head a bit more, overall I am pretty satisified with the model seeing how talented or lack there of I was when I first made it.

RPG Name: Chronicles of the Rift 1/2
Description of Picture/Name of Character: Adalia, one of my all time favorite characters, and yes a Loli. this is a model that took alot of time and effort to make. The joints and mouth are moveable, but just like on Kiiah I havn't had time to texture it. The original drawing in which the model was based comes from the Super Talented Yi.

Personal Comments: This model is uploaded into a different 3D Program than Kiiah, which is why it looks so glossy. The head of the model took off/on again of 9 weeks total. The body I did a while back, and just came back to it and detailed it a bit more before working on the head. Overall I believe this is the most detailed model I have ever done.

Criticisms are something this topic needs. This isn't deviantArt, where there's enough people contributing to hand out "Good job!"s left and right and still expect an influx of pictures. We have maybe five people here contributing; saying nothing but nicey-nice things about them is going to get tiresome sooner than later.

Aaahhhh!!! Crystal, I LOVE that picture! The expression is really good and I love the underside markings beneath the chin. That probably is my favorite part. ^_^ The way you did the spiney-fin backings is done differently then I'm used to seeing it, and I like it! Go variety!

It looks really good! I love the detail work you did on Demon the most- especially the legs and underbelly. I also think you did a good job on Venom, especially with his more elaborate swing-pose there.

The only things I can see, is that if you want the glowing 'eye laser-trail', I recommend getting rid of the wispy ends, but make it a solid streak. Otherwise it most likely will end up looking like fire- action lines also will help give it the trailing effect. His head sort of throws me off a little bit... just because it looks like he's staring up at the sky, rather than at his target (but maybe he's shielding himself), so I think that's just an artist choice. I think when you color it, the problem you're having with venom's head will go away. :3

Thanks Bulba4... actually... once I get the Photoshopping started, Demon will have part of the Symbiote suit in his mouth as he's pulling it away from Venom in a Bite-N-Tear manuver. Which explains why it's partially NOT on Venom's head.

Personal Comments: This was done on an art blog, and I'm really proud with how the lines came out, as getting smooth lines is difficult. I've always wanted to draw his sexy body in a scandalous pose as well... bwhwahaha...

MM: On sketch one, her profile looks odd. (the nose is too elongated and in consequence because you were drawing things in proportion to it [I think], the mouth and chin/jawbone are out of proportion too??) everything else is pretty cool.
On the comm sketch, mainly I think the neck/shoulders/torso positioning in relation to the head is slightly off (the neck, or what I think is the neck - it could possibly be a section of her collar is too long, and again because this is off, the torso is off as well)
Otherwise I like her claw-y hands :D

Personal Comments: The first picture is from two years ago, when my anatomical knowledge was less-than-existent and my style was mostly influenced by Kazuki Takahashi.
The second picture is from a few days ago; as you can see, the anatomy has improved some, mostly due to the fact that my style has changed to reflect the work of Akira Toriyama more than Takahashi. I'm aware that the proportions are still flawed (The arms are too big and the legs too small.), and I am displeased with how chubby his face looks, but otherwise, I think I've improved a lot. Still got a ways to go, though...

Sorry to say (and I'm not saying this to agree with anyone), but this topic was made for people to post their character and RPG-related artwork... You shouldn't be expecting professional critiquing (or any at all) from a simple thread like this. It was originally made for pure entertainment. And when you put something like "Critique at your leisure" or anything similar, that typically means "I'd love to see people's opinion, but if no one replies, no biggie." If you want that kind of attention for specifics on your artwork, take it to the FanArt forum... Or post it on an art website like DA, now here, where people are coming to basically ogle their favorite characters.

Personal Comments: Again, obviously this was a rough doodle. I was experimenting with the 'watercolor" tool in Corel. Drew this in about ten minutes before Ninny had to run off to swimming! :3 (Ninny = Dr.McNinja) I blurred his hair because the watercolor tool tends to leave super harsh edges and I was waaay too lazy to blur the lines well. xD I drew him because I think he's one of Nin's best crafted characters, although it is notable that Aelfrik was a pre-cotr character (he had been designed from Vampire: The Masquerade campaign previously. Marius was from a DnD campaign and Nin just merged the two for CotR.)

I know how hard it is to get critique and I also know how bad dA is for getting critique, I've been on the site for 5 years! This (http://chobichibi.deviantart.com/art/Sheep-and-Penguin-38593162) has 65 comments of "Aww cute!" and gets atleast one fave a day... They took about half an hour to draw each, yet stuff that's taken me several hours gets no attention. Go figure...

Personal Comments: I am moderately impressed with this. I haven't done much with Theo since I stopped the Dragonoid Fic I had a while back (which only a few commented on Dragonoid (http://dr-studios.deviantart.com/gallery/#Writings)). I've played him in some Table Top RPGs and managed to find a class that fits the abilities from 3.5. I've re-made him in 4th Edition into an effective Two-weapon fighting Ranger Dragonblooded with Bastard Swords (but for flavor it's still the twin-bladed sword). Just like with the previous, anything that jumps out at you that you really like?

Denny, the first picture's eyes look fine to me, but dude's right knee looks like the femur just above the kneecap was broken, and possibly the top of his calf was bitten off by a shark. The crease in his jeans makes it look way thin.

The second picture I agree with Weas with. Mickey Mouse hand. Otherwise, it's OK. Except for that weapon of his... I understand that the Square-Enix generation has made giant melee weapons pretty much a must for any fantasy character, but if he tries to swing a double-bladed weapon with blades of that weight, using such an awkward and unstable grip, all he's gonna do is break his wrist. <<'

Personal Comments: My god this model took so long. In reality it was a on again off again project, back in 2007 I requested Yi to make a front and side view of Adalia, I made the character except for the hands and head. In summer 2008 I decided to use the character for a school project so I finished the head but left the hair unfinished as well as the lips. Finally last month I decided to finish the character I used hands I already had and a staff I made for her, added in better lips, a chin, finished her hair, textured and posed her. I can nit pick about the hair but I have never done hair before and in the end I am quite proud of it.

I do want to give Props to Yi for the picture, with out it I could never have made a proper model.
