[font=Verdana]Does anyone of you has a shiny legendary Pokemon and, can I get a shiny legendary by resetting the game a few thousand times? I saved my game of Pokemon Sapphire in front of the Rayquaza because I want it shiny but I haven't tried to get it shiny because of my doubt.

oh, and by the way, I am new to this and pardon me if I don't speak English very well (I'm from Puerto Rico), but anyway, nice to meet all of you.

Yes. A Legendary pokémon can be shiny just like any other. Shiny Rayquaza, for example, is the dark grey of storm clouds, with thin red and yellow markings all along it. Since the odds are 1 in 8192 of a pokémon being shiny, it can take a week or more of resetting for a Legend to be shiny, but some people consider the work to be worth it.

 Wow! That Rayquaza must be really cool. I can't wait to get it. Thanks a lot Poryhedron. I have a shiny blue-eyed Lunatone, found in Meteor Falls on the cave where you get the TM Dragon Claw, but I am planning to get that shiny Rayquaza and if possible, the shiny versions of the three Regis. By the way, does anyone of you have any shiny Pokemon? Once again, thanks a lot Poryhedron.

I have Sapphire back in NY, I could swear I had a few shinies, as well in my Crystal, also in NY, but in Emerald, which I just started, and am currently on Gym #7(damn psychics, but yay sableye) I have none to this point in the roughly 60 I have caught.

I have absolutely no legal shinies.... I've got over 2000 combined hours of play with Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire/FireRed.

I hacked a few (Shiny Porygon2 and Shiny Swalot)... but its not the same.

I have 2 shineys. A shiny Tentacruel which I found as a tentacool just surfing along but didn't train it up because I already had a level 82 Tenacruel (now level 100 yay) I was using in my party lol. I also got a shiny blastoise which I got when I chose my starter in fire red. Which was really lucky lol. I restarted the game on fire red though (transfered my blastoise to pokemon box for safe keeping of course) because even though I am male, I hate the male character on fire red so much I just restarted the game and chose the female character.

I seem to recall reading that if one of the legendaries is shiny, all the others will also be shiny.

So is there any way to find out if they're shiny besides playing through to the Sky pillar?

That rumor is false. Each pokémon has its own individual chance to be shiny, regardless of any other pokémon's condition.
The only way to know whether something is shiny is to encounter it in battle (or check its stats if you own it).

Check its stats = check its summary? I thought Shiny didn't affect stats.

(My brother just hatched a shiny Torchic. I is jealous.)

You're right; Shinyness does not affect stats. Checking its Summary, however, will reveal whether or not it is Shiny. (I didn't use the word Summary because GSC shinies have also been mentioned in this topic, and the term Summary for a pokémon status screen is new to Advance Generation. Ironically, though, Shininess was related to stats back in GSC.)

In GSC if one parent is shiny the child has a higher chance of being shiny, however, you can't breed two shinys. In the 3rd gen, no matter how you obtain a pokemon, it will always have the same chance of being shiny, even if you breed it from shiny pokemon.

Hmm, on my Pokemon Sapphire game, I have a shiny Ludicolo and a shiny Tentacruel, both I believe are female. So yeah, I have found the occasional shinies in my advanced generation games from time to time.

I haven't caught a shiny legendary yet (I am trying to get them on Emerald) but on the good side, I caught a shiny Sableye on Pokemon Sapphire. I feel that my luck has increased slightly.

I tried for shiny rayquaza, bitter failure....

I have played the games a ton though and will say that I'm not surprised, I have horrible luck. One time I used thunder 5 time and out of those five times... ONE HIT!!!
