I now have a free spot open so anyone who'd like to have a quick battle, come on in.

Only unevolved Pokemon
1 on 1
You chose first
I attack first
DQ time: 5 days
Restricted Moves: Toxic, non-damaging healing moves (Rest, Recover, Refresh, Moonlight, etc.), Thunder Wave, Substitute, and any others you would like to ban. Relaxing is fine.

Arena: A large, stone temple set in a huge square of land somewhere in the jungle. A river trails lazily around it, perfect for Water-types to have some fun. The four sides of the temple all have stairs that reach the top. However, some stairs are slippy from a recent rain and blocks can become dislodged after a hard hit. A room sits inside the temple and is big enough for two Steelixes to fight in and is accessible from all sides. The area around the temple is fairly clean except for random crumbling statues. Trees line the battleground and may drop a banana or a mango if hit hard enough which restores a little health and energy. Going into or behind the trees, however, is not possible. Every three rounds, the sky lets loose with a downpour which cannot be substituted with any other weather condition. After three rounds, the rain stops and the sun comes back out.

A Normal-type, eh? Well, let's go, Appa (Male Tauros)!

Okay Appa, let's start this battle off with a Double Team to confuse things up a bit! Next, go in for an Iron Tail and finish this off with an Earthquake!

[u] ~Round 1 Start~

Somewhere deep within the heart of one of the jungles of the world, a large stone temple looms, majestic and awe-inspiring to all who see it. Everywhere, bits of foliage and leaves spring up, some even making their way up the temple’s hard walls. For eons the temple has been unused, the only remnant of a time once lost.

Somewhere on the immediate right, the trees tremble and sway as a body passes through it, accompanied by a rather small creature, snake yet bug-like in appearance. The DarkestLight looks around, eyes scanning the inside of the forgotten monument as he (or she) walks past the stream and into the temple. A Dunsparce trails at the heels of the trainer’s feet, looking about the large arena with a hesitant air.

Across from them, the other challenger waits. Seeing the trainer has finally arrived, she gestures her hand towards the arena, and a hefty not-quite-so-flying-bison Pokémon gallops into the arena, snorting.

Bull and snake stare each other down as their trainers hastily give their orders, and allow their Pokémon to take the reins.

Running quickly, the Tauros’ body seems to blur, and he splits into five identical Tauros images. Muddy does not seem wholly impressed by the spectacle, opening his mouth wide and yawning in supposed boredom. The Yawn emits a wispy, white vapor that flows towards Appa’s direction. The bull Pokémon yawns, his five copies mirroring his actions and movements exactly.

Blinking the coming sleep from his eyes, Appa charges, his bulky form building up speed as hooves clatter against hard stone.. His three whip-like tails begin to glow, taking on a silvery hue. Again, Muddy does not show the least bit of fear – in fact, he’s smirking with some dark knowledge that the bull cannot comprehend. Quickly whipping ‘round, the Tauros’ tails strike the Dunsparce’s flesh, but only for a moment before the hard force of the move comes crashing back at Appa, his hooves skidding across the flooring as he tries to slow himself. But his movements are oddly sluggish, and he stumbles, eyes drooping.

To his credit, Appa tries to keep awake, but his eyes feel as heavy as iron and he can do nothing to stop the impending waves of sleep. His clones are forced to mimic the Tuaros’ slumbering position as they wake for their creator to wake.
.
If the Dunsparce’s face could show a multitude of emotions, it would be cockiness now, and Muddy sure is cocky. He slowly crawls ‘cross hard rock and vine towards the five Tauros. Only the slightest hint of confusion dawns upon the land snake’s visage as it examines each figure. Not knowing which one is real, and which ones are phonies, Muddy attacks the one at the far left, only to go right through it, leaving Appa completely unharmed

Good job Muddy. Now, let's begin. Since that Bull may wake up at any time let's first Defense Curl quietly.

After that, Screech in a circle so that bull can wake up quite startled. Lastly, to figure out just which one is the real one, let's shake them all up with an Earthquake.

I thought I was DQ'ed from my own battle XD Oh, boy. Stupid school.

Okay Appa! If you can hear me, try out a Snore attack for as long as your asleep! If you wake at anytime, use a Body Slam on the little Dunsparce! Try out a Stomp attack and then Counter the Earthquake!

[u] ~Round 2 Start~

With Appa happily in dreamland, Muddy curls himself into a tight ball just as a rippling Snore reverberates through the air. The Dunsparce cowers at the loud noise, and curls himself into an even tighter ball in hopes to drown out the noise. It helps, somewhat, and the Snore is soon over, leaving a rattled, but relatively unharmed Dunsparce.

Heartened, Muddy prepares to unless a much fiercer sound of his own. The strange ground snake takes a deep breath, before unleashing a piercing screech that makes the very air shiver – and it certainly has no trouble jerking the bull out of his slumber. Startled, Appa looks around, regaining his sense of place and time as the drowsiness falls away from him like a cloak. Snorting, he spots his target. The bull’s eyes narrow dangerously as the idea that the Dunsparce is what is causing the horrid noise pops in his head.

Bellowing in irritation, Appa charges, flying across the ancient floor. His hooves soon find another target: the Dunsparce. The screech is abruptly cut short as Appa’s vengeful hooves slam into Muddy’s back. It causes an explosion of pain, and Muddy only just wriggles away from Appa enough to summon up a deadly Earthquake.

Appa is ready to counter, surrounded in a faded orange light. The ground starts to shake and tremble, and many unstable parts of the temple crack, or even break into pieces, while Appa’s clones vanish. Some of the debris fall on Appa, and his Counter repels them off like his tail would nats, flinging them towards the Dunsparce, and hitting him with a vengeance – though there is little else to physically counter.

The groundshake stops as quickly as it started, leaving both opponents very rattled and covered in dust and debris. If the Earthquakes keep up, you have to wonder how much longer this old temple will last.

Notes :

Earthquake is not directly counterable, as it is more the ground moving than something physically striking Appa from Dunsparce’s direction. So the counter relied on faling debris to fling, with amounted to much less damage.

Muddy, that bull won't last if you follow what I say. Protect so that Beam dosen't harm us, and then use Shock Wave to locate the real Appa.
When he comes near you, use Counter.

[u] ~Round 3 Start~

Wincing a bit at the pain originating from his spine, Muddy the Dunsparce spares a glance at his opponent. The bull is fast forming a small ball of ice energy at his muzzle. The orb of energy grows, and the Dunsparce quickly puts up a hardy, semi-translucent shield around himself. The Ice Beam soon jets out of the bulls gaping maw, but it meets the Protect, chilling the shield significantly before it wisps away on its own.

Stamping his feet, the bull Pokémon quickly splits into five identical clones, all as annoyed as its master. The annoyance is multiplied tenfold as the Dunsparce lets loose a plethora of electricity bolts, all of which surge towards the real Appa, and with unwavering accuracy, the Shockwave finds its target amidst the field of Tauros clones.

Plan foiled once again, Appa and his clones charge, still bristling with the fading static electricity. Both Appa and his clones throw themselves towards the Dunsparce for a Body Slam. But no sooner does his large frame envelop the Dunsparce, is he abruptly thrown back by Muddy’s Counter attack.

Muddy, don't give in now. First off, let's use this temple. Go wriggle through the ruins, using a Double Team as you do so.
When that's done, relax a bit, so your back can rest. Lastly, we're going to shoot a second Shock Wave at Appa.

If at any time though, you find yourself in a tight situation, Dig out of there, and Counter if he tries any underground move.

Double Team--->Relax--->Shock Wave

Sub: If Muddy is found before he can DT: Dig--Counter--Dig.
