[font=sylfaen]I am in need of another battle. I have one spot reserved, but still got two left over so:

Hmm one on one or two on two. Whatever the competitor would like, so I'm open to longer as well.
One week DQ
Rules: No healing moves. Even those along the lines of Giga Drain.
Arena: Hmm a meadow surrounded by trees with a small creek bubbling through it. There is a cliff to the East that can easily come apart for rocks.

I will use, hmm, Draco Malfoy, my shiny male Sentret. Let's give him a go.

Elec Man EXE

Hmm, I think a battle against you would be interesting. I'll accept your challenge.

Lets go with a 2 vs 2, 1 'mon at a time.

I'll start off with my male Kabuto, Equinox. I'll go ahead and post attacks even though we don't have a ref yet.

Alrighty Equinox, time for your first battle. Start things off with an Icy Wind, chill the foe. Then, hit him with a Confuse Ray. And finally, fire off a Water Pulse to keep the confusion on, and drench him.

[font=sylfaen] Well true there is no Ref I will also post my attacks.

Ok Draco! First lets try and get a tan, Sunny Day! Then use a Dig. Keep your head to the ground and dig as fast as possible. Don't go overly deep, but enough to avoid the Confuse Ray. Then pop back up and use a Solarbeam. If you can use Solar, then just finish the Dig.

[i] After being on the fourth page for far to long, one of the battlers of this challenge: Elec Man EXE, recovers it, grimacing, he summons the entire challenge back to the front page, in a desperate attempt to obtain a ref.
Low and behold! A girl steps forward: shoulder length brown hair with a slight wave to it frame her face, and she lightly shoves the taller woman out of the way as she makes her way to the middle, sticking her tongue out as she does so, the older girl (River) frowns, crossing her arms at the her younger sister known as Crystal.
Crystal, being a lazy bum, snaps her fingers and summons a comfy lounge chair. Smiling, she sits down, lays back, puts on her sunglasses and watches away.
River shakes her head, and then tosses a pokeball, with a bright flash a… A… Rodent! (Lack of really caring what it’s related to in real life)
Elec man smiles, tossing his own pokeball, it releases the small light that quickly ah ancient Pokemon called a Kabuto.

Oh right, River’s poke is a glimmer and oh so sparkly Sentret…

Woot..

Round One

The battle begins with Equinox the Kabuto staring down his opponent, the ever so shiny Draco Malfoy who is busy praying to Moltres for a hotter day. No sooner does the sun come out when a chilly breeze envelopes the rodent, but the heat of the newly summoned sun stops any freezing from happening.

Slightly uncomfortable with the heat, Kabuto tries to ignore it as he lifts himself onto his hind claws. His eyes slowly turn white as he watches Draco madly dig while keeping his head down, faster and faster the dirt flew out from behind. Equinox is finally ready, the beam he has charged zooms forward, the whitish aura around it distorting the poor images you might be able to see through the beam.

But did it hit? Draco is in the hole, but the beam looked liked it made contact…

Out comes Sentret, dazed, and wobbly, River cringes as her Pokemon was indeed struck by the ray of confusion. Elec smiles as Kabuto wastes little time firing off a pulse of water laced with sonic disturbances! The sun manages to evaporate some of the attack, but the rest strike poor Draco, sending him toppling a few feet back.
Things aren’t going well for poor Draco, the super sonic waves have made his confusion into something that rivals insanity, River grimaces, her Sentret charges up the beam for the devastating grass attack, but fires it at a rather large and harmless tree. River, Crystal and Elec man all blink a couple of times as the see a rather nicely carved hole in the trunk.

If he isn't screwed up by the confusion, then pull off a Rapid Spin to throw him away as he hits you. If the confusion takes hold again and screws up the rush, use a Double-Edge for some great damage. Either way, follow up with a Mud Shot to disrupt his vision and stop that punch. And finally, use an Ancientpower to crush him.

Round Two

Though confused and utterly disorientated, Draco finds it possible to listen to his trainer. With a burst of speed he flies towards his opponent, who, despite only seeing a very odd blur is able to spin just as fast as the squirrel thing can fly. Pour Draco slams into a rapidly spinning shell Pokemon that receives little damage, unfortunately, Draco can’t say the same thing, his head pounds lightly from the thwacking he received.
Angered from the annoying shell Pokemon who giggles lightly as Draco wobbles a bit, holding his head as if it’ll fall off. He growls, fist crackling with electrical energy as he stomps up to the shellfish. Who, seeing the danger, quickly flings dirt shot of mud at the normal type. Draco cringes though the mud has faltered his sight, his memory lets him acknowledge that Equinox was not that far away, and in a frenzied attempt to hit anything, he swings.
Surprisingly, his attack lands a good hit, sending a charge throughout the shellfish’s body before fading.
Draco focus’s, energy swarms through out his body as his minds stops churning; the confusion is almost all gone. And then vanishes when a rock rips into the Sentret’s back! The vengeful little Kabuto giggles lightly again, exhilarated by his success.

[color=#FFDD11]Good Equinox. Now, lets try this. Start off by whipping up a Sandstorm, that should both block that potentially bothersome sun for a while and annoy the ferret at the same time. Then, lets try and get rid of that focus and further bother him with a Metal Sound. After that, take advantage of his hopefully distracted state and bowl him over with a Surf using water from the stream.

Then as it starts to blow around, grab a hold of him and Thunderbolt him just as he starts to screech. Maybe we'll distract him. Last, keep a hold, not enough to be annoying, just so as he Surfs, hehehe, he will also hit himself. *grins evilly*

Round Three

Draco races forward, Equinox prepares himself for a blow, but is surprised when the little sentret simply bounds over him. The shellfish wastes no time, summoning up a rather strong wind that blows the dirt around, until a very thick sandstorm wisps around the field. Blinding the trainers from what’s going on.
Luckily for Draco, he’s to close to his enemy to be blinded, so as he focuses hard, he watches his fist glow with a menacing aura. Revenge is sweet. Draco’s fist slams into the back of Equinox, hitting a particular weak point that causes his shell to crack. The horrible cry from Kabuto alerts his trainer to his pain.

Draco starts off again; jumping onto Equinox’s back just as his body begins to spark wildly. The Kabuto opens his mouth to let out a horrible sound but instead he cries out in utter pain as a thunderbolt singes his body. Draco feels satisfied, and just as he has been told, he holds on. Equinox desperate summons the water from the stream to his side, which floods the arena and does damage to Draco, enough to actually make him let go. Equinox however, is barely hurt by his own attack, as the blunt of it hit the Sentret who was clinging to his back. Draco benefited as well, the small amount of mud on his eyes was washed away.

As the water subsides, the sandstorm fades as well, it seems the water has killed most of it; all that remains now is a light breeze that eases the sun’s heat.

Round Four

The suns rays lighten up a bit as round four kicks into play. Draco smirks, concentrating hard until multiples of himself appear and encircle the slightly confused Kabuto.
Equinox, thought taken back for a moment, smiles as his shell glows bright, another layer of hard bone appears, filling up the cracks that Draco had created.

Draco cringes, but isn’t worried, his fist crackles with lightning as suddenly all the clones disappear. The shell Pokemon remembers his instructions, closing his eyes, his body suddenly begins random, rather violent movements. But that doesn’t stop a harsh electrical shock force its way through his body.
But at the same time, Draco is thrown back, the extra jolt make Equinox go into overdrive! He violent flails about into he is satisified.

The Sentret cringes as the Kabuto turns around, static energy sparking from its body as he stares at the squirrel scornfully. “Ka-bu-to!”

It was am amazing sight to see a small shell Pokemon whirl so many rocks so fast at the stunned Draco. Equinox showed little mercy as the rocks went hurtling though the air, and then into the small Pokemon.

When the round came to an end, pour Draco was up to his eyeballs with rocks.

Round Five

Draco puts his paws together quickly, concentrating as hard as he can, dark, horrible energy begins to gather in front of him. But suddenly Draco tumbles over, a quick slap to the face has stunned him completely, his concentration broken, the baseball sized shadow ball flies through the air and slams into the ground, hard. Equinox, the slapper in this case, smirks triumphantly.
And he wants to continue his good streak, scraping at the ground with his calls he gathers up some dirt, and fires it off with a jet of water that soon turns into a shot of mud. Draco however, is a wizard! He suddenly vanishes, using the dark powers within him to faze him out of this world. The mud splatters onto the ground where the Sentret used to be, about five feet away from where the mud landed, Draco appears, with a smirk.
The suns power, though thoroughly diminished since the beginning of sunny day, is still quite powerful, and it seems Draco is going to use this to its fullest potential. In front of his body, solar energy rapidly grows, the orb of a brilliant green light shimmers in the suns warm rays. Equinox however, has his orders to follow. He bounds forward, unseen mouth ready to drain life away from the furry rodent, but Draco is well.. An ass… Right when the Kabuto is extremely close, he forms what looks like the Yevon prayer which in turn, fires off the beam.
The sheer power of the attack rockets through the air at amazing speeds. Slamming into the poor rock/water type with such force it’s a surprise it lived through the attack. Equinox, though battered horribly by the attack, scurries forward and latches on Draco anyway, determined for a bit of revenge.
After draining a bit of health, he lets go, still in agony.

It may be fast, but you should still be able to fire at least one attack, so I want you to use a Bubblebeam, aim at his feet. The slippery bubble liquid will hopefully make it difficult for him to escape, even if he is phasing. Now if that works and you still have that sucker in your sights, fire off an Ice Beam. Take advantage of the dampness to freeze him. Then follow up with a Rock Slide. If the bubbles fail to stop the escape, then I want you to quickly Mimic the Pursuit to follow him wherever he may go. Then hit him and all his clones with a wide Icy Wind.

Faster then the eye can believe, Draco zooms forwards, his body turning from blur to blankness as he charges at Equinox. He suddenly appears before the rock type, and hits him as hard as he can. Kabuto cringes, but then fires a stream of deadly bubbles (who would've thought..) at the unsuspecting Sentret; who grimaces as the dampness around his feet.
Draco doesn't waste time, he turns tail and attempts to bolt away, only the dampness around his feet prevent him from bolting. Equinox smiles, charging up an icy beam that streaks towards Draco and hits him hard. Ice forms around his back paws, rendering him rather... immobile.

The Sentret in panicking! Quickly he scratches at the ice, but it is to no avail! Rocks suddenly fly towards the helpless squirrel, a couple making full contact.

The battered and beaten Sentret huffs as the bright, white light materializes on the field to form a yellow and brown Pokemon with a trunk like nose. River grimaces at the Pokemon as it raises its claws up and cries out its name with confidence.

time to break that confidence.

Draco’s body suddenly becomes engulfed in dark energy before he disappears, a mere black blur as he races across the field. And then slams straight into the large belly of the creature. Celeste steps back a bit, her eyes suddenly glowing a deep hypnotic purple that seems to consume Draco. The Ferret’s eyes flutter as its exhaustion takes over.
Malfoy collapses onto the ground… Sound asleep.

Celeste snickers, her bright eyes soon dull to a enveloping black as she appears in Dracos Dreams…

Running and playing, Draco is yelping happily with others of Rivers team as Celeste suddenly appears. He doesn’t notice, and Celeste takes her chance. Clapping her hands a dark lightning bolt strikes the ground, and then it happens.

A portal, only about three inches wide appears in the middle of the grassy opening the Sentret was playing in. Everything swirls and blends together as it’s sucked into the hole, and soon enough Celeste dissipates, fading from the dream with her new found energy.

Draco stirs in his sleep as Celeste’s eyes turn back to normal. Her wounds from the Dark Strike fade as purple sparkles fall from the now non-existent wounds.

But Draco remains asleep, turning over as Celeste raising her finger and points at the ferret with a creepy look.

The blackness that surrounded the Ferret fades, revealing a dark room with chains and knives hanging from the walls. He shudders in fright, and then screams as a loud booming laughter echoes in the room. Red eyes appear on the dark walls, and creatures never seen before meld out from the ground, their torn jaws gaping and claws slashing wildly as the Sentret.

What a horrible nightmare!

Draco turns in his sleep, whimpering, but he is unable to wake up. Even while Celeste laughs cruelly.

Round nine kicks off with Celeste entering a zone of complete bliss. Energies swarm around her body before little white orbs of light sink into her skin. She is just emerging from the trance when

POW

The sleeping Sentret delivers a powerful uppercut that sends the psychic flying. Even when her resistance, that has gotta hurt! She slams into the ground, groaning as she watches the Sentret tremble in his sleep.

Next, she concentrates again, this time her mind goes deeper then bliss, the world around her vanishes as her bustling thoughts are calmed. Only one thought remains with this Drowzee.

Defeat Sentret…

As she comes out of the deep thoughts, she shivers; Rain has begun to pour, and Sentret as moved again. She frowned, dumb Pokemon used Rain Dance, and he’ll pay for that. Celeste never wanted to be wet.
Again Sentret whimpers in his sleep, tossing and turn before he calms down.

Grumbling, the Psychic throws her mind into the future. Visions go through her head as suddenly she sees Draco, standing there, reading for whatever is coming. Smiling, she alters the future, something will hit him soon, and hit him hard.
As she breaks out of her trance, she watches Sentret toss and turn before his eyes open. Whimpering as he has finally escaped his nightmare. It’s too late. However, to actually use any attack.

Hmm... well Celeste, we've already got Future Sight coming, lets just stall for time. You can't do much against the first Pursuit, its still got a speed advantage over you and its a quick attack. You can stop the second, however, with Torment. Then raise a Safeguard while his attack fails, and watch the fireworks fly from that Future Sight. If the weasel decides to use Shadow Ball on you during the second attack, for whatever reason, then Protect against it. Once it falls, I'd guess the round ends, but if it doesn't just Relax.

Round Ten

The tenth round looks like the final for the tired Sentret, who shows us an amazing burst of speed as the little wizard whips across the field, dark energy surrounding his body. He slams into Celeste who cries out in rage. But she focuses deep on her opponent, and before long, poor Sentret is suffering from Torment!

Long ranged attack ahoy! Future Sight is a VERY long ranged attack, and Sentret has time to charge of a nasty shadowball that rips across the ground and slams right into the invisible shield Celeste created.
Ah but here it comes! Breaking the cloud cover is a massive ball of energy! It has a tail like a comet and the sphere part of it morphs into a demonic dragon face before it slams into the terrified sentret.

When the attack is over, a unconscious Sentret is left in the middle of the field.

A Gligar, eh? Very interesting.

Ok Celeste, lets go. Start off by raising a Reflect shield, to guard yourself against the majority of his attacks. Then grab him with Psychic and slam him into the ground. Finish up by launching a Shadow Ball at him if he's far away, or hit him with an Ice Punch if he's up close. If you opt for Ice Punch, try to hit his wing and freeze it up, to really mess with his mobility.

Right Whalat so he uses Reflect? We use Swords Dance. Then use Faint Attack to avoid that Psychic and slam Celeste upside the head. Don't stay to close to Celeste so she uses Shadow Ball. Take the hit then sweep in for a Iron Tail

Since the ref is REALLY lazy at the moment.

Looky that! The Purple bat thing that flies at peoples faces spins madly around, gaining an attack boost. I don’t quite get it but sure.

Celeste claps her hands and POOF! Magical shield!

Celeste prepares a psychic torture when whats his face *River hits me with pan: ITS WHALAT!!!* disappears. Celeste blinks dumbfounded before being struck by a sneaky faint attack from the purple ugly thing.

The purple bat thing flies a bit away and Celeste shoots off the dark ball of exploded absolutely nothing (Ok… Wait… That came out wrong…)

RETRY!!!

The purple bat thing flies a bit away and Celeste shoots off a dark ball of explosive nothingness! It shoots towards the flying facehugger and EXPLODES!!!

The thing which is ugly coats its tail in steel and then flies towards Celetes… CELESTE!!! (… Typos…)

Unfortunately the tail is like a very heavy anchor… And Poor… Wallets? Whats up? Oh Whalats… WHATTT… Whalate! GOD DAMN IT!!!

WHALAT!!!!

He uses the weight as added momentum and slams his shiny metal tail into… Celeste’s head.

Hmm... that was a rather painful round... Reflect seems much less effective than Swords Dance. But anywho, Celeste, don't give up just yet. Let that thing whip up the sand, then start a Rain Dance to cancel that out, and I'm sure a ground type won't like the rain either. Then use a Teleport to dodge that incoming sludge, and follow that up by hitting her with Ice Punch. Get some revenge for that 4x weakness against Equinox.

Round Twelve

Growling, Whalet launches himself into the air, glowing with a faded brown numbus as he picks up speed and begins to spin around in a tight circle. Immediatly, a gust of wind begins to pick up around Whalet, forming a spinning vortex that picks up whatever debris (In this case, sand, dirt, rocks, and grass) as he can. Soon, the air is filled with debris, mostly dirt and grass, more of an annoyance than a visibility hindrance.

Celeste, wincing as the particles of dirt, rocks, and dust buffer her smooth skin. She lifts up her hands and trunk, and begins to move her whole body to a silent beat, mimicking the water-shamans of her kind, beseeching rain to fall. Two second afterwards, it does. From the sky, droplets of water turn to sheets of cold rain until both opponents feel the water seeping into their skin.

Whalet, suffice to say, is not pleased. He hisses, batting at the fallen rain with his claw, frowning in displeasure as the rain continues to fall. As he's unable to do anything about it, he turns his attention to Celeste, who looks rather uncomfortable in the rain, but pleased with the demoralizing effect it's having on her foe. Whalet, his anger rising, gathers up the toxins inside his body, forming it into a great, purple glob of acidic goo, spitting it out of his mouth at Celeste. The poisonous orb is just about to collide with Celeste's form, when she vanishes, eliciting a cry of surprise from the Gligar.

He has barely enough time to turn around, when Celeste phases back into existence just behind him, her fist covered in an icy glow. Grinning, she slams her hand into the Whalet's small body, sending an icy aura jolting across it, leaving bits of tough ice crystal in its wake that weighs and numbs his body down.

Shivering, the Gligar collides with the dirt, picking himself up until he's ungainly splayed across the grass on all fours, bits of ice stuck across his usually tough skin. He shakes his head to rid himself of the pain and cold, opening his mouth and spitting out an army of pointed yellow stars, which enlarge and expand, slicing the air as they collide with the Drowzee. Many clink harmlessly against her reflect, but the rest cut into Celeste's skin with a vengeance, leaving harsh, red lines in their wake.

Thanks :)

I think Crystal refs energy in a reverse manor... meaning it starts at 0, then goes up to 100. It'd make a bit more sense if it was called Fatigue, probably, but I think thats how it works anyway. Seems you got Whalot's right, but Celeste's is way too low (should have started at... eh, 63 last round).

Alrighty Celeste, we've gotta try and do some major damage here to pull off a win. Start off with another Ice Punch to get him a bit more frozen, go for the wings to better inhibit his flight. But if he manages to escape into the air where you can't reach him, use a Shadow Ball instead. Then, spew a Poison Gas at him. And finally, give him yet another Ice Punch, again going for the wings. If he's out of your reach, Secret Power.

Round Thirteen

Shivering at his mildly ice-encrusted body, Whalat tries to pick himself up, the rain drumming down on his earth-based body, making him even more uncomfortable than before. It doesn't make his frozen status much better either, and he only disappears mere seconds before Celeste would have reached him, her Ice Punch slamming harmlessly into the grass, freezing a small area of ground and her icy touch.

Frustrated, Celeste looks around, trying to spot her flying foe, before a sudden blow strikes her side, causing her to spin around and finally spot the reappeared Gligar. Inhaling through her long, elephantine nose, she then precedes to breathe out a cloud of thick, poisonous gas at the cold Gligar, who tries to scramble ungainly out of the way, but is still caught in the cloud of smoke.

Coughing and spluttering, the fumes burning his eyes, Whalot begins to twirl around as fast as his cold body can, making a vortex of swirling wind, blowing away the poisonous gas with a vengeance, sending a good part of it right back at Celeste.

It's the tapir's turn to cough as she breathes in the toxic attack of her own making, accompanied by a harsh, scratching wind that scratches at her body, though her Reflect helps buffer it considerably. Wheezing, with no way to dispel the smoky substance, she tries to run out of the cloud into a clearer part of the meadow, coughing like mad. She makes it out, though she can already feel the toxins begin to pollute her blood.

Whalot grins at this, watching her body as she runs out of the thick cloud, now being somewhat dispersed by the rain, as he had lost sight of her for a moment, but frowns as Celeste opens her mouth, sending a brilliant white beam cutting through the grasses, turning a very green hue. The attack slams into the Gligar's body, making him reel back a bit, barely able to keep his position in the air - especially when a sudden stiff sensation accompanies his every movement of his suddenly stiff limbs, finding himself unable to preform his last action.

Hoo boy. We got ourselves quite a challenge here Celeste, but lets see if we can pull it off. I want you to start off with Psychic, grab a hold of Whalot and hold him in the air. If he can't hit the ground, he can't cause a quake. Squeeze him to do damage as you deem fit, but the main focus of the attack is to keep him from using Earthquake, so don't waste too much concentration on damage and lose your grip. Then, use another Psychic, this time grab a hold of that sludgey projectile and throw it back at Whalot. If you can't throw it back, then at least deflect it away from yourself. And finally, lets borrow from your teammates with Assist, and hope for something good.

Round Fourteen

Rain sucks... at least, in Whalat's very humble opinion it does. Of course, there's nothing he can say or do about it as the rain continues to put a damper on his fighting spirit, making much of the dirt around him liquify into a rather muddy substance. Muddy and dreary as it is, Whalot forces himself to fly upwards, preparing to dive on a one-way collision course to the earth; however, things don't happen quite as the Gligar gleefully imagined.

Instead of flinging himself at the ground with reckless abandon, the Gligar feels a Psychic aura take hold of his body, forcing him into a rigid, uncomfortable squeezing position in mid-air. It isn't extremely painful, and the Psychic doesn't seem to be scrambling up his mind too much, but he can't move. Well, he can wiggle, but the Gligar really doesn't fancy that as moving. He fancies it as looking like some sort of idiot who can't glide properly.

Abandoning Plan A, Whalat moves into Attack Stage B as Celeste mentally relaxes her grip and lets go of him. A slimy, hate-filled projectile launches from Whalat's open mouth, and the pseudo-paintball nearly hits its target, but the Psychic intervention grabs the Sludge Bomb and flings it back at Whalat, firmly socking him in the face, coating him in nasty, acidic sludge.

For once, Whalat is quite glad that it's raining, as it helps wash the sludge off from his body, and take away the acidic sting. Now, the flying scorpion is out for revenge, summoning up a barrage of five pointed Ninja stars that successfully scour Celeste's skin just as Whalat's muscles begin to seize painfully.

Celeste bears the hit and retaliates with a metallic screech as the rain finally dissipates. The sound causes Whalat to cringe instinctively, unable to cover his ears in time as his eardrums ring with the awful sound akin to nails on a chalkboard with the accompaniment of a bad Metal Band. Celeste cringes a bit as well, but more from the poison and less from the horrid sound.

Round 15

With the rain gone, Whalat can't help but breathe a sigh of relief as he shakes off a few remaining water droplets and ice from his skin as he prepares to go into a Sword Dance. Twisting about sharply, he starts to spin in a tight circle - but the spin is cut short as his muscles freeze and leave him hovering in mid-air, hardly able to move, and therefore, unable to deflect the Shadowball that is thrown at him. The ball hits the Gligar in the face, exploding upon contact.

Whalat, feeling a bit winded by the small explosion, nevertheless disappears from view, leaving Celeste at a loss of where to aim her attack. Grimacing, she taps into her Psychic power, randomly borrowing one of her comrade's attacks, releasing a torrent of flames upon her next exhale of breath. The fire unfortunately misses, and Whalat, snickering, hits Celeste roughly in the side, causing her to spin around, Psychic aura flaring a deep, violent shade of purple.

Before he can start to disappear out of sight, the Psychic finds him, wrecking havoc upon his Psyche before the full effect of the Faint Attack kicks in and he vanishes, the dark swirls about him leaving now trace as to his whereabouts. However, it's soon known seconds later as Whalat reappears and strikes with his right claw, Celeste shuddering at the dark-type strike, as well as the poison.
