[font=sylfaen] WO wanted a battle and I was up for some fun. ^^

Three on Three
One week DQ
Rules: No healing moves. Even those along the lines of Giga Drain. (heh, I like this rule). Satus healing are ok. Add any Rules you'd like WO
Arena: Beside a wide clear, rock bottom, slow moving river. Trees cover the area beside the river but the farther you go away from the river, the less trees and more open grassland. You can see the grassland through the trees, so it isn't overly thick.

I'll use Joa, my female Clamperl.

Weasel Overlord
31st August 2006, 04:08 AM
[color=silver]And I shall use my newest addition;

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y157/jingleweasel/Pokemon/pkrs152-1.gif
Absol [M] Theo de Veren

EDIT: Bugger that for a jimmy, I'll attack first! ^^

Okay Theo my love, let's begin this match with a Thunderbolt! Follow up with an Iron Tail to try and break that clam's shell, then finish up with a Calm Mind!

[center][u]ROUND I

The river side is suddenly full of activity, clamoring with bird whistles and cries of avian pokémon from not far off – perhaps watching though keen eyes the battle that is about to take place. Two trainers stand, feet away from one another, by a gently flowing river, surrounded by a variety of flora.

River goes first, the Pokéball in her first landing on the ground. The device opens, revealing a bivalve creature: a Clampearl. The non-native land dweller opens up her shell and peers nervously around at the strange, un-watery scenery just as Weasel Overlord herself releases her own Pokémon: the legendary disaster Pokémon, Absol. Theo de Valene seems more at home among the trees, even if its far different from his own homeland of craggy mountainsides.

Familararities are given, and both beast and sea-dweller spring into action. Electricity sizzles at the Absol’s paws, gathering energy and shooting off against the slow, land-locked Clampearl as she shimmers with a silverfish light. She immediately splits into three identical beings, but the Thunderbolt, already aimed and launched, continues on its deadly path, striking the water-type Clampearl with a vengeance.

Body racked with pain, though her clones still in tact, the Clampearl begins to tap in to her water-powers. The river just a number of feet from them begins to move and become more hostile, frothing with white as the water swells to a mini-wave of sorts. Theo sees this, and buts on a burst of speed, his oddly-shaped tail glowing with a silver sheen as he prepares to strike – but his attack never connects. Instead of metal meeting shell, water meets fur as the high pressured water attack sweeps the Absol away through various leafy vegetation. The surge leaves behind damp, and in some spots muddy, ground, and a rather bedraggled Absol.

However, Theo does a supreme job at appearing unperturbed and at peace of himself. Ignoring the smirking Clampearl, he closes his eyes, breathing in and out deeply in a familiar pace and rhythm, paying heed to no outside noises. And a good thing, too, considering the clam is making a mess (and a deal of squelching noises) as she digs up a wad of nice, fresh river mud, throwing it on herself in attempts to protect her shelled body from electric assault.

[u]ROUND II

Already covered in a copious amount of mud, Joa has no qualms in upping her defenses once more. At her bidding, a silver glow begins to encompass her whole body, but that light is soon snatched away, seemingly drained from the Clampearl and given to a very calm and collected-looking Theo de Veren, who is soon coated in a seemingly metallic finish.

Joa’s frustration is only doubled as Theo begins to let out a long string of very effective Taunts that only seem to rile up the bivalve Pokémon’s temper. The idea of using Confuse Ray has all but fled the little Clampearl’s mind, and instead tries to physically make her way over to the smirking Absol – though she only succeeds to make a real fool of herself, as she stumbles the only way a Clampearl – like a rock in the mud.

Theo continues to smirk, his ruby eyes glowing in an amused fashion as he watches the Clampearl flounder in the mud which she created. Though covered in it himself, he shows no worry, and starts to summon up a powerful wind that picks up various sharp debris and objects in hopes to counter Joa’s Blizzard; he can already feel it coming. The sharp, cold air is all around the area, seemingly taking on a rather bitter edge. Both attacks jet forth from the direction of their respective masters.

Chilling ice and cutting wind meet in an angry, tumultuous clash. A clash that lasts only seconds as the Blizzard – by far more powerful and strong – completely overwhelms Theo’s own wind, negating it while washing over the surprised Absol to a very chilling affect.

When it’s over, Theo’s not only coated in mud, but snow. Though he’s not frozen by any means, the mud around his forelegs has frozen onto him, and it seems he won’t be as mobile as before – at least, not until the snow and frozen mud melts away.

[u]ROUND III

Another cerulean tide sweeps towards Theo as electricity crackles around his body, helping to crack some of the ice around his feet, before darting out into the rushing wave and towards their target. The Shockwave collides with the rush of water, zipping through the conductive force and finding the Clampearl with no problem, as well as decimating her remaining clones. With the water around the Clampearl as well, the electricity is all the more potent, and Joa is never so thankful for her protective mud layer.

The Surf breaks upon Theo, and the Absol twitches a little bit, getting zapped for a small amount of damage from the electricity coursing through the now still water. Growling, Theo opens his mouth, where a stark white beam of energy is collecting, taking on a greenish hue from the grassy field as well as a tinge of blue. The Secret Power impacts Joa’s shell as a blue beam of her own makes its way towards the water, freezing the liquid about Theo’s feet solid.

The Secret Power sends Joa reeling, her head spinning and her thoughts rattled – scattered like puzzle pieces. She can barely think properly, and she isn’t sure what to do, and in her confusion, her Water Pulse misfires, destroying some trees to the left. Theo, meanwhile, has no such confusion ailment, although he can barely move with his feet frozen. He still is able to conjure up a Shadow Ball, and the ghostly orb collides with the bivalve Pokémon, leaving her hurt, and a bit more addled, but alive.

[u]ROUND IV

Joa, her mind already swimming in a sea of confusion, relaxes, taking in a series of deep meditative breaths that help clear her mind. Theo, meanwhile, is still rooted deeply in the frozen ice, unable to move much of anywhere – and thus far, the ice shows little sign of melting. The cold and damp Theo already feels increases as he tosses his head and summons up a storm of pouring, cold rain, making him a very bedraggled, rather miserable looking figure.

Joa, having come to her senses, begins to glow with a silvery aura, but seconds later, a dark aura impedes her own, Snatching the Iron Defense away in a jet of pure black light. The light flies back towards Theo, and he glows once more with a silver sheen, boosting up his defense by another two levels. He smirks.

Electricity bristles around his damp fur, giving him a little bit of a jolt as he launches the attack towards Joa, whose precious coating of mud is slowly sliding off her smooth shell. With a startled cry, she follows up with a beam that flashes with blue and green hues. Both electricity and energy slam into their respective targets. The electricity wrecks havoc to Joa, with the powerful blast sending her nerves afire, nearly paralyzing her with the attack. Theo, meanwhile, is not much better off, wheeling from the blow (but unable to go anywhere). His mind is more coherent than Joa’s, thanks to his calm mind, but it’s obvious the Absol isn’t thinking as clearly as he should be.

[u]ROUND V

Coated in a fine, silver sheen, the pseudo-steel covered Absol closes his eyes, taking long, deep breaths and focusing his thoughts and mind. The confusion plaguing his brain slowly fades away into nothing but a dull, swimming sensation... but even as he opens his eyes to prepare for his next attack, a dozen, tiny raindrops fall from the sky to the ground. Those rain drops are joined by more, soon turning into hardened hail-crystals that seem to annoy both parties, though the hopping Joa is more protected with her hard shell.

Grimacing at the sudden coldness to the air, Theo breathes in, exhaling a white-hot blast of fire at the ice just at his feet. The heat from the Flamethrower melts the ice in a matter of seconds, nearing searing the approaching Joa (who is making very little progress movement wise) hops towards him. Getting as close as she dares (as the Absol is now unfrozen) the bivalve Pokémon glows brightly, sending a searing flash of white throughout the arena.

Theo hisses as the light plays havoc with his brain, but his calm and rather meditative state helps him keep his head enough to gather up the electricity within his body, and launch it at the opponent. The Thunder clatters noisily off the conjured shield now placed in front of the Clampearl, dying away while leaving the water-type unscathed. Meanwhile, the Hail continues to pelt the surface, while drops of rain (though fewer than before) still litter the ground every now and then, making for a very odd site.

An echoing, harsh screech pierces the hail-stricken air, as Joa opens her shell. But the annoying sound seems to do little to displace the Absol in front of Joa. His eyes are closed, and his breath is deep and calm. Inwardly, the ringing does annoy him to quite some degree, but the unnatural calmness he's experiencing helps ward off the ringing sounds that threaten to cloud his mind. However, the noise still pings, and Theo fails to descend deep into the calming effects of the Psychic move, and fails to feel the usually instant stat up.

Joa doesn't notice this, clapping her shell angrily at Theo's non-reactant display. Still scowling, she splits into three identical others, hail and rain pelting mercilessly against her shell, becoming icier by the minute. Theo serves to annoy the bivalve even further, as multiple jets of yellow light streak towards her, vanquishing her clone while delivering another nasty shock.

Joa's bad luck increases as she closes her mind to Relax. But even her calmed state can't help her against the sudden strike of heavy thunder as it strikes her, covering her completely in its bright yellow light. When it disappears, and the pain and electric sparks fade away into manageable tolerance, Joa feels quite aptly fried. Not to mention the rattle of ice does little to relieve the sudden stiffness in her body, which leaves the Absol to gloat at his success at the round, despite the tiredness that's beginning to overtake him.

ROUND VII

Closing his eyes, the Absol assumes a relaxed stance, paying little to no attention to what's happening around him. Instead, he focuses his mind and attempts to relax and take a breather from the current battle. The clattering of the hail does little to help him in his endeavor, but he tries to manage to tune out the annoying pings of ice. With his eyes closed, he can't see the persistent Joa clumsily hopping towards him - which made for an amusing site, and her paralysis doesn't help either.

It takes her a few rather embarrassing hops, nearly sliding on some of the ice that still remains. Then, mustering her energy, she jettisons her shelled body forward, opening her shell, and clamping it at the nearest object she can reach, which happens to be Theo's chin, her body far too small to fully emcompass the Absol's face.

Already feeling the Absol respond to the attack, though it is barely a ping to his metal-sheened body, Joa takes a deep breath, and lets out a ringing supersonic vibration. Theo hisses, the stinging sound piercing his ears. It's an annoyance, and his mind can't help but be a little jumbled, though he's still faring better than most.

With a growl, Theo shakes his head rapidly, trying to be rid of the annoying creature that has decided to clamp on him; it's the only thing he can think about.

Relaxation forgotten, he yowls, leaping forward and with an almighty toss of his head, he sends Joa flying across the turf, before the idea of attacking finally cliques in his brain. Still confused, yet the goal of frying the annoying shell-thing imbedded in his mind, electricity crackles around his feet, before jettisoning out the Absol's body, striking Joa. The electricity serves to kindle her paralysis, rending her unable to retaliate.

ROUND VIII

Head still spinning from the confusion, Theo growls, fur bristling as he begins to taunt the clam from across the terrain. Joa stiffens, protesting angrily, her swagger forgotten. Hopping up and down, ignoring the stiffness in her muscles, she bounds towards the resting Theo, more than happy to attack the good-for-nothing Absol that had the nerve to insult her.

Opening her shell wide as she comes into jumping range, she leaps towards him, vindictively clamping onto his face. Theo hisses in annoyance, shaking his head rapidly to try and get her off. She doesn't let go, bound and determined to annoy the Absol as much as possible.

As Theo's annoyance rises, and his thrashes become more focused and powerful - nearly dislodging her - she begins to build up a sphere of ice-type energy just before her. Letting go, she shoots out the Ice Beam, hitting the Absol in the chest and successfully freezing the fur around his chest. Joa skids across the turf, shell closed as she rips the damp, hail scattered terrain. Only when she stops does she open her shell and observe her angry, but resting opponent, watching her through his blood-red eyes, promising vengeance when he gets the chance.

Hmm, k Joa we're also almost out but let's try this shall we? First use Barrier right between you and Theo, just block that Thunderbolt entirely, nice shield hee (twacks self for not seeing move earlier). Then use, um Secret Power twice. Bounce around sheild, fire and try to bounce back. I know your paralyctic so if you feel it coming on, Relax instead. Um, if you don't get your Barrier up use two Surf's instead.

ROUND IX

Electrical fury bristles around the Absol's brilliant white mane, crackling across the ice as the electrical energy flares. The powerful bolt of electric energy surges at the Clampearl, meeting little resistance as it passes through the wall-like barrier.

Theo's impassive face turns into a grin as the electrical energy helps to freeze Joa's already tight muscles, rendering her move orders useless, so she relaxes instead. Theo, however, is unable to do anything as well. He glows with a orange energy for a moment just in case, but it serves no purpose whatsoever.

Absolutely hopping to get revenge, Joa retaliates by sending a blur of pure white energy, tinged with colors from the nearby surroundings, towards the mountain inhabiting Pokémon. The counter glow is around him again, but it does nothing to counter against the energy thrown against him. It melts and cracks the ice around his chest, and sends him skidding backwards from the impact, sending his head reeling once again.

.. and he had just got over the confusion too. And the twittering, though fading pounding of the hail does nothing to help it either.

--will delete this post later-- Basically, I use a randomizer to determine whether or not a Pokemon gets confused/paralyzed.

Basically, it's randomnized to spit out three numbers (1 for each turn). And if they're below 15 (aka 15% chance of paralysis) then you get paralyzed, unless there's some outweighing reason why it should not be. XD

ROUND X

Dead tired and near collapse, the disaster Pokémon closes his eyes gratefully, knowing that he's leaving himself open, but also knowing he can't attack until he's rested. An Ice Beam jolts through him mercilessly, and Theo is forced to endure it as he gains back his much needed energy. And with his focused mind, he helps clear away the anger and confusion clouding his judgement.

Like clockwork, a second beam of ice-elemental energy slams into his chest, freezing some of it, while decreasing his own body temperature.

Theo then opens his eyes, feeling more cold, but more rested as he prepares a final attack. Electricity shimmers in waves across his body, crackling as if eager to attack their master's foe. With a growl, Theo sends a fierce rain of electric tendrils across the ground, where they race each other to reach the shelled water-type. Joa, knowing exactly what will happen if it hits, tries to conjure up a powerful shield to brush away the lightning, but just as she begins, her muscles freeze up, and she is forced to take the electric blow. Joa barely has the time to cry out as the Shockwave wrecks havoc on her already weak body. Black dots abound in front of her eyelids, and it takes only a second to welcome the black oblivion of unconsciousness.

The Poochyena, watching the whole thing carefully, springs from his spot and away from the poison, gathering speed. He then springs a the Absol, hitting the Disaster Pokémon in the side and knocking him out, though Lobo receives a bit of the re-coil himself.

ROUND XII

With the disaster pokémon finally out of the way, Weasel Overlord is forced to send out her next competitor: a fierce looking female Zangoose, who looks down at the dark-type pup with a snort, apparently not intimidated by the young hyena at all.

Eager to show the Zangoose that he is indeed something to be reckoned with, Lobo darts off, picking up speed as his form blurs and splits into three more clones. All four lobos dash around the Zangoose madly, but Romuyan doesn't even blink as she channels electricity through her pink-stripped fur until it gathers around each of her paws. With a cat-like yowl she releases the electric energy, watching with satisfaction as the multiple tendrils of yellow light rip through the clones, making them disappear, while attacking the real Poochyena all the while.

Lobo yelps as the electricity strikes him, and though the shock is light (due to some of the energy being used to kill his faux pack) the remaining attack proves to be more annoying than hurtful, and Lobo shakes his fur rapidly to get rid of the dancing sparks, before baring his tiny fangs and lunging. Lobo's dark energy infused fangs have barely time to lightly pierce Rumuyan's thigh before a harsh bronze aura sends the Poochyena flying backwards, tail-first into the turf.

Winded, covered in particles of dirt and bits of leftover hail, Lobo can only cock his head and stare in confusion at the Zangoose, wondering what the heck happened. Nevertheless, the tenacious hyena-puppy picks himself up, breathing deeply. His fangs begin to take on a purple aura, and lethal, deadly poison begins to drip from the sharp canines. Growling, Lobo takes off running once again, hoping to finally sink his teeth into the cat-ferret's flesh. Romuyan, red eyes flashing, intends to let nothing of the sort come to pass. Spinning around and rearing to her hind legs in a lithe, fluid movement, she waits until the Poochyena is in seconds of being in range, before spinning around, right hind foot glowing white with focused chi, before kicking the limb fiercely outwards.

Lobo yelps at the fierce assault, poison saliva dripping from his maw, but unbeknownst to Romuyan, she actually has given him a wonderful opportunity. And since she was so kind as to thrust him a limb to bite on, he does.

Fangs pierce into Romuyan's glowing fur, and even through the strong kick nearly gave the dog what for -- and did indeed manage to strike him rather painfully in the mouth as his jaws took hold of their quarry -- her blow is stopped from going any further, with Lobo's jaws locked firmly in place, allowing the lethal poison to sink in to the Zangoose's bloodstream, making her shudder at the effects that are already beginning to take hold.

Yowling at the stinging pain from the acidic poison, as well as the teeth sunk into her, Romuyan precedes to thrash about wildly to get rid of the Tenebrous Lobo . But the Poochyena hangs grimly on for several long, and very successful seconds, before finally letting go and skidding on the ground, his mouth sore, but nevertheless triumphant.

ROUND XIII

Growling, trying to work out the soreness in his jaw, the tiny wolf rises to his feet, his golden eyes watching his opponent carefully as the cat-ferret pokémon gives the Poochyena a rather dull stare before closing her eyes and detoxifying her body, ridding it of the poison that's been plaguing it. Lobo grins, seeing the Refresh at work, and as soon as the holy light recedes from Romuyan's body, Lobo strikes, his fangs piercing into the Zangoose's skin once more, causing her to yowl in pain, thrashing about as the acid from his small fangs burns her fur and skin.

With an angry thrash, the pup's jaws are ripped away, removing a nasty, infecting puncture wound in its wake. Hissing in pain, Romuyan descends to all fours, rushing forward in a display of pure, dextrous speed, raising up her lethal claws to strike the Poochyena with a debilitating blow - but her attack is stopped as soon as her chi-infused fist touches Lobo's grey fur. The aura flaring about him causes the force of the Brick Break to rebound with double the pain not to mention the type-weakness of her kind.

The nasty rebound momentarily renders the Zangoose immobile as she struggles to her feet, trying to catch her breath as she glares daggers at her foe. Tenebrous Lobo grins widely, suddenly darting through the sparse brush, picking up speed. As his paws pick up a faster pace, his form whizzes into an almost greyish-black blur. Two seconds later, three identical Lobos appear. By this time Romuyan has more than recovered, a bit wary and worn, but stable. Her eyes can't pick out the real wolf from his Psuedo Pack, but she chooses one at random, darting forward and striking one of them. Her claws slash clean through the illusion, ripping it to shreds while the real Lobo remains unharmed.

Grinning in sync with his three doppelgangers, Lobo nods enthusiastically, and precedes to dig both his forepaws into the moistened earth, flinging a pile of wet mud at Romuyan's furry face. The Zangoose howls as the mud gets in her eyes and obscures her vision, and with a vindictive thrust of her right claw, she throws forward a flurry of electric sparks. The Shockwave has no trouble decimating Lobo's pack, bringing it down to the Alpha himself, who blinks in surprise that his clones were killed so soon.

Nevertheless, the Poochyena controls himself and lunges forward, fangs bared in an angry snarl. No sooner do his fangs meet flesh, he is thrown off with twice the force by Romuyan's counter aura.

Rowing and tumbling backwards, it takes a few moments for Lobo to compose himself, feeling a strange sense of deja'vu wash over him. Had something like this happened before? Lobo blinks and shakes his head. Nahhh. that thought in mind, Lobo shoots a pure white beam from his open jaws, watching with glee as the Secret Power turns to a brownish hue; however, his smile soon fades when his attack hits nothing but grass and dirt.

The wolf has barely anytime to think when he feels a rumble underneath his feet, and even less time to respond at Romuyan bursts through the earth, hitting Lobo with an outstretched paw as she comes up from her Dig attack, wiping away more mud from her eyes upon exiting, while Lobo picks his bruised body up.

With the mud still caked around her eyes, Romuyan can't quite see Lobo's iron coated tail, in order to trigger the sub. As he's just standing there, she ones forward towards the grey pup with her claws bared and ready to slash. The Zangoose brings her lethal weapons down upon the pup, but he swings about quickly, and her claws clatter on a hard, metal coat; however, Romuyan's right paw, now throbbing from having struck the iron-clad appendage, soundly keeps the tail from going any further to strike her anywhere else.

Lithely, she hops a few paces back, before running forward again, able to see Lobo quite clearly now despite the mud. It's her turn to bring about her body, using her feet to hopefully execute a sound pair of hard kicks. However, as soon as her first foot touches down painfully into Lobo's shoulder, the Poochyena swings about his body again, glowing with a brown, refractive aura, nearly toppling Romuyan as she staggers back, her own shoulder painfully burning from the blow. It was lucky she was unable to land both kicks, as it refracted the first one upon contact.

Angry now, the cat-ferret's fur flares up, and at her becoming, a thick cloud of white ice and snow surge forth from around her. Lobo retaliates, though he finds his aim hindered by the "white-out" the Blizzard is causing. The beam fights its way through the elemental spread, but hits nothing but a tree (as Lobo is soon discover) as the harsh wind dies down and the broken tree is in plain view.

ROUND XVI

With the mud caked around her eyes starting to become less and less of a hindrance, Romuyan readies herself into a fighting stance, bristling as the Poochyena smirks snarkily before splitting into around four clones; however, the pack is soon demolished by a army of sharp-pointed stars that rip the illusions to shreds, while scraping across the Poochyena's body, leaving the tiny pop surprised and a little hurt by the attack.

Lobo quickly splits into another set of four, but Romuyan, electricity curling around her claw tips, soon makes fast work of Lobo's fantasy teammates, while delivering a rather nasty, biting shock all at the same time.

The third round is just as uneventful. Lobo splits into another set of three, and Romuyan demolishes them, cringing a bit as the pain from the poison surfaces.

Alright Lobo, first I want you to use a Shadow Ball to counter that Shock Wave. Hopefully it will exploud on contact with the electrcity and dissapate it/exploud it or something. Under the cover of the explosion, I want you to rush in and hit Romu with an Iron Tail. Then Counter that Seismic Toss, maybe she'll be the one who does the fainting. ^^'

ROUND XVII

Fur curling with static electricity, Romuyan crouches back down on all fours while her opponent summons up otherwordly energy from the atmosphere around him, soon forming a black, pulsing sphere. The Shockwave is first to be released, the quick-fire tendrils of electric energy surging towards their target.

Yelping, Lobo jumps into the air, giving the ball of energy a jump start with his paw, hoping that his trainer is correct about the electricity causing the ball of energy to explode... although explosions have never sat well with him.

Then, both attacks collide with each other--though many of the electric tendrils of electricity miss the ball of energy, having been set upon their target from the beginning. Even so, the few sparks of electric energy do indeed set off the unstable nature of the Shadowball, filling the forest with the roaring clash of an explosion taking place.

Dust is kicked up all over the place, and a few trees are very obviously charred. Dust is everwhere, kicked up by the explosion, and the two Pokemon's battling ground seems much more like a nuclear testing site. However, Romuyan's almost completly unharmed. Her fur is quite a bit singed and the energy from the attack knocked the wind out of her, but her normal-type nature protected her against the ghost-type energy that made up the majority of the explosion. Lobo, however, is not so lucky. Panting as he slowly rises to his feet, Lobo looks very much worse for the where. Some of the shockwave did manage to find him, though the explosion is what did the worst.

Even so, the little puppy plucks up his courage again, growling at the large ferret-cat as he tries to regain his breath and ignore the pain from the explosion. Romuyan smirks at the dog's display of courage, allowing a multitude of stars to for around her paw, expanding in size before slicing through the air and into the pup's skin as he runs forward, trying to dodge and ignore the slicing shuriken, however, the Swift soon overpowers him, and knocks him out cold.

Romuyan's triuphant grin quickly fades as the poison reminds her that the Poochyena did not exit the battlefield without making sure to leave her a memento to remember him by.

Right so I think I've lost this but some Poké's EXP so let's boggie on! I choose:

Sharp Utensils for the Blind Sub for short
Scyther ♀

Okle so lets use Safeguard, be up in the air while you do it. Your a speedy Poké. Next use Secret Power and finish with a Night Slash. If she tries any Electric, Ice or Fire attacks, use Aerial Ace to avoid it and slam her. But don't sub it in for the Safeguard.

ROUND XVIII

Singed and tiring, Romuyan comes face to face to her next - and very much final - opponent: a female Scyther who seems largely unintimidated by the large feline in front of her. In fact, the Scyther can't help but wonder how one of her teammates was defeated by such a battleworn looking thing. Nevertheless, both Scyther and Zangoose assume their own battle stances. Scyther is the first to move, coating herself in an ethereal glow that will protect her from whatever status effects the Zangoose may have wanted to throw at her. Romuyan, however, had been gathering a great cloud of electricity from within her body, channeling it until the power blazes over her fur, before being releasled in a torrent of sizzling yellow energy. The thunder strikes true, electrocuting the insect in her place, as she yowls in fury and pain.

Shaking off the electricity from her exoskeleton, Sub hisses in primal fury, a white light gathering in her mouth, while her eyes assume an eerie white glow. From her maw, a bright beam of light bursts forth, scraping along the ground, turning a murky green hue, slamming into the Zangoose just as she hurls a few semi-large shards of rock she found with her paws. The beam knocks the cat-ferret straight over, while the shards of rock smack Sub in the chest and face, leaving an irritating bruise while her opponent dares to smirk, not overcome by any status effects, save by the one Lobo left.

Angry at the ever-so-satisfied look of her opponent, Scyther blurs into a superb show of speed, her scythes taking on a darkened hue as she bears them town on her opponent. But her opponent's grinning. As soon as the dark-inbued Scythes begin to rend Romuyan's fur, she twists herself around, covered in a strengthening bronze aura, throwing the force and power of the move right back at the insectoid, but at double. Yowch. Romuyan's grin is nevertheless cut short, however, as the poison continues its course through her bloodstream, knocking her sense of victory short, and she collapses, knocked out.

ROUND XVIX

With the dratted weasel-cat-thing gone, Sub waits for her next foe to make an appearance. She does not wait long. From the Overlord's pokéball, a Kangaskhan emerges, her eyes wandering over the mortal realm, roaring like the serpent she was thus named after.

Undaunted, Sub begins to form a colorless array of energy into her mouth, sending the sphere blasting out of her mouth, forming a stream of white as it takes energy from the surroundings, slamming into the yellow-aured Kangaskhan with fury! The electricity around the behemoth flickers for a few seconds, as Zalxo's angry eyes bore into the insect's, before releasing the static energy of her own, frying Sub once more, though the shimmering veil protects her from any nasty affects.

Then, the great serpentine-beast-Goddess decides to start lobbing rocks, her paws picking up great, hulking shards of stone--bigger than Romuyan could ever pick up. Grunting, she lobs the rock along with another -- and soon another -- at Sub, but as soon as the first rock is thrown, the Scyther is gone in a flash of speed.

Quetzalxochitl growls, trying to locate her speedy foe, when Sub rams her in the back, latching on as well as she can with her Scythes as she does so. Zalxo, meanwhile, growls in rage, fire surging up her throat, turning her head until it peers over her shoulder, releasing the flames. As Sub is quite a big creature, the flames don't hit her directly, but manage to scathe her side as they rush past, leaving a nasty red welt along her side that burns, though is quickly cooled and rendered harmless with the Safeguard. Unfortunately for Quetz, though, she possesses no such thing. So when the Toxic finally splurges out of Scyther's throat, Zalxo feels the acidic burning pain immediately, eventually penetrating through her thick skin and into her bloodstream, causing her a nagging sense of pain.

ROUND XX

Sub, leaping off the Kangaskhan's back in a quick, deft motion, slides to a halt, crossing her scythes to form an "X" before launching the attack at her opponent, who has turned about, surrounded in a bronze glow. Ignoring this, Sub strikes with the X-Scissor, coming in contact with Zalxo's hardy skin, before Zalxo swings about, repelling the bug with the same amount of force she received, not double (due to resistance).

The shock from the Counter sends Sub staggering backwards while Zalxo calls upon her elemental prowess with the electric element. Knowing she has to get away, Sub darts off with the abnormal speed boost that Pursuit gives her. The next moment, the THunderbolt hisses through the air, missing her as Sub deftly doges and spins around, the dark aura around her fading, as she then summons up a gust of evanescent silver wind laced with bug-type energy.

The gust whistles and chafes Zalxo's skin, as well as causing her to cough as she breathes in air, then breathes out fire. The torrent of flame cuts through the Silver Wind and air, washing over Sub in a merciless torrent. The attack is cut short as Zalxo grunts from the throbbing poison pain; Sub, meanwhile, despite being weaker than before, feels a new sort of power surge through her veins as she prepares for the last few rounds of the battle.

A blast of red fire and a gust of silver wind collide as the round begins anew. The gust manages to deter some of the flames, but the fury of the stream of fire holds true, and still manages to char its opponent while the ravaging wind does the same to its target.

Zalxo, skin extremely itchy and irritable, begins to heft up large rocks around the terrain, flinging them at Sub with careless abandon. The Scyther watches the flying projectiles, readying her Scythes above her head as she prepares to strike them. One by one, the rocks meet her reinforced Scythes, crumbling or breaking in half at the touch, leaving Sub relatively unharmed by the rocky assault.

Next, it's time for Sub to try and turn things around in her favor. Using her superior speed she darts forward, tiny streaks of Shock Wave lightning colliding with her body as she rams Zalxo in the chest with all the force of a sharp titanium bullet. The very force of the blow sends Zalxo staggering back, bending over from the pain (increased by the Toxic's lethal course). Meanwhile, Sub's Safeguard flickers and disappears.
