I'm on my mum's 7 year old PC with two USB drives.

I've put in my elcheapo USB 128 MB one, and it says it detects a flash drive and it's going to install new drivers and then install new hardware and it just won't accept it.. how can I make it so I can access it?

PC is P3 600ghz whatever
128Mb
Windows 98 2nd edition.
10 Gb (My new pc has 160 base and then I have 300 for media)

So yea, quick replies great!

A lot of flash drives automatically install the drivers onto any computer into which you insert them. However, many do not work for earlier generations of Windows, like Win 98. You may have to download the drivers online to be able to use your flash drive on that computer.

Could you specify what brand and type of flash drive it is? (For instance, I have a Lexar Secure Drive with 256 MB.)

Does this (http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/44f791400bfc46cc2740c0a87f9c074e/Product/View/XH8250) look like your flash drive? If so, then you should be able to download the appropriate driver here (http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.filereader?44f791400bfc46cc2740c0a87f9c074e+EN/catalogs/SUPXH8250).
