View Full Version : Poll - You missed WHAT?!?!?!

OK, let's face it - there are movies that just about everyone has seen or should see at some point throughout their life - Jaws, The Wizard of Oz (Yuck. XP), the original Godzilla, Titanic, Psycho, the original King Kong, The Shining, etc. - movies that are basically so famous that you'd have to be a total idiot not to recognize them or any of the done-to-death cliches that initially originated in them...

But, as ashamed as some people may be to admit it, there are such movies that people haven't seen yet, for one reason or another.

1. What insanely-famous movie(s) have you never seen?
2. Why not?
3. Do you think you'll ever see it (them)?
4. If no, why not?
!!. Do you think Little_Pikachu will kill me for stealing borrowing her red text?

1. I have never seen The Matrix or The Godfather, or any of the sequels (Though I heard most of them sucked, anyway.).
2. Lack of interest or focus, not to mention one is like thirty years old and I can't find it anywhere.
3. If I can find them and focus on them, then yeah, probably.
4. I said yes, stupid. :grumble:
!!. I hope not... :ninja:

OK... So, who's next?

1. Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible, Titanic... and if it counts, I haven't seen Return of the Jedi.
2. Just never got around to it, but occasionally I rent some of those insanely famous movies that I haven't seen, just to see what all the hype is about.
3. Sure, why not.
4. A couple of them I'm just not interested, my only reason to see them would be so I can say I've seen them. Then again, I have seen movies like that solely for that reason and ended up actually liking them, so...
!!. I don't know, but I think she would kill you for asking such a stupid question.

2. Why not?

Frankly, I just don't watch movies much these days. In my opinion, well over 90% of the blockbuster movies nowadays are awful.

3. Do you think you'll ever see it (them)?

That depends on how much you drug me.

4. If no, why not?

I think question #2 pretty much answers this. For the others... I have a life.

!!. Do you think Little_Pikachu will kill me for stealing borrowing her red text?

That depends largely on what you've done to get on her bad side lately. Will this be the straw that breaks your back? ;)

I don't watch movies too often, but...

1. What insanely-famous movie(s) have you never seen?
Jaws, Lord of the Rings, King Kong... and a lot of other movies

2. Why not?
Like I said, I don't watch movies too often. Sometimes I watch the movie when the TV shows it.

3. Do you think you'll ever see it (them)?
Maybe... if the TV shows it

4. If no, why not?
See #3

!!. Do you think Little_Pikachu will kill me for stealing borrowing her red text?

[i]1.) really, there are a lot lol. back in the day i was terrified of scray movies, so i have never seen a lot of the original ones, but i am starting to make up for lost time lol.
2.) me being a little kid, i was scared of them lol since i had (and to some extent still do) an overactive imagination. because of this, when i saw scary movies i would always imagine them as real, and i would be terrified that the monster or whatever was coming to get me.
3.) haha yea, i have since grown up a bit and i am slowly but surely seeing all the scary movies i have passed on in my time. are they my first choice of movie to watch? no, but i'm not dead set against seeing them anymore.
4.) haha i don't think this question is applicable to me

and its always a risk to use LP's red text color... i would say it depends on her mood. if she's calm/happy, you're ok. if she's angry or stressed... well you'll never see her coming :lookout:

[color=red]

1. As much as I hate to admit it, I've never seen Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, or The Exorcist.

2. Just haven't had the opportunity to watch them.

3. I definitely want to watch Casablanca and Gone with the Wind.

4. The Exorcist is just a little too sacreligious for me.... Maybe I'll watch if I'm in the mood to see something extreme.

(5.) No, since anyone can use red text. It's not a special privilege.

Side note: Brian, (mr_pikachu), you make me sick with the movies that you haven't seen. I plan to change that this year! ;)

3. Maybe someday.
