I'll battle you. ^_^ I'll send out my male shiny Absol, Pollux. I'm not sure if it's two out at a time, or one, but if it's two vs. two at the same time, I'll send out my Metang who has no name yet, but will as soon as I post my orders next. (XD).

Ok sock it with an ice punch first. Next hit it with flamethrower and end with brick break.

Saffire Persian
3rd February 2007, 03:41 AM
All righty, Pollux, when Vulcan's rushing over to hit you with Ice Punch, lets counter with an ice attack of our own! Blizzard , that should slow his pace down considerably, with any luck, and might make it harder for the guy to see. Oh, when he's coming at you, try to keep your face away from him, so his fist will hit something other than your face if it does connect.

Next, he should be using flamethrower. If you were frozen because of Ice Punch, the Flamethrower should melt it. What I want you do to is hit Machoke with Thunder Wave to paralyze him. If you were frozen and couldn't move at the start of the second action for whatever reason and can't use your Thunder Wave right away, wait for the Flamethrower to melt it and then hit him with Thunderwave.

Finally, when he's coming at you with Brick Break, lets teach him a lesson with Counter . However, if he's paralyzed, use Future Sight instead.

MATCH

-- BEGIN –

Machoke sneers down at its silent opponent, charging forth with a glowing white fist, but is stopped short as a massive mix of ice, wind and snow is created by the opposing dark Pokemon. As Machoke lacks fur or any practical clothes, it begins shivering as it charges towards its opponent angrily. Absol is much too lithe, and avoids the muscle-headed Pokemon’s attack in the icy cloud of snow.

Frustrated, Machoke clears any remnants of the blizzard with a powerful flamethrower, and scorches Absol dead-on. Ignoring his wound, Absol sends a static charge through the body of Machoke, paralyzing the athletic Pokemon.

Grunting in frustration, he manages to charge at Absol and smack the dark Pokemon hard with a powerful brick break. Staggering weakly to its feet, Absol retaliates the with a counter, hitting Machoke with double the damage of the already powerful attack.

Thanks for the fast reffing. ^_^

All right, nice job, Pollux. Now, lets keep our distance from the Machoke, please. Since most of his attacks are purely physical, it's better to keep our distance, so attempt to maintain such distance at all times.

First, use Shockwave . I'm sure every bit of electricity used might make his paralysis easier to trigger, as well as the move is unavoidable, so follow up with another two Shockwaves .

However, if he wants to run at you and physically strike you, I want you to use Ice Beam , aim for his feet and strafe the Ice Beam along the ground as you do so, so there'd be a chance he might slip on the ice. I'm sure his paralyzed body wouldn't like that.

Ah, and if he does become paralyzed this turn, sub it with a Future Sight , but do so only once. If he's paralyzed a second time, just continue on with your original orders of shockwave.

However, the ice beam misses the fighting Pokemon, as Machoke stops short and clasps his limbs in pain – paralyzed. Absol takes its chance and concentrates hard on something, as Machoke struggles over to the dark Pokemon. Finally, it musters enough strength for another façade, this time successfully making contact with Absol. However, as it backs away to prepare a third and final attack, it slips and falls back onto the ice, embarrassed. Shaking itself off, Machoke runs back at absol, through the third ice beam and slams into the dark Pokemon, sending it skidding backwards.

All right, Pollux, when you feel the ground start to shake, jump up and use Shockwave . Jumping up when the ground's shaking will help lessen the damage, since you won't be on the ground all the time to experience it.

Next, dodge that Rock Tomb with Faint Attack and whack him, then get out of the way for the Future Sight to hit.

Next, use Counter for that Facade.

However, if at any time he's paralyzed, hit him with an Aerial Ace instead, since he won't be able to use revenge on you if he's paralyzed.

But little did Vulcan the Machoke know, that Pollux had vaporized out from under the stones, and was launching a sneak attack behind him. Saffire Persian
14th February 2007, 01:57 PM
All righty, Pollux, lets do this. ^_^

First off, I want you to use Torment , that will keep him from using Earthquake in the second action, as it'll keep him from repeating moves. Jump up and curse him though, to soften the damage from Earthquake.

Next, when he finds he can't use Earthquake, I want you to use that opportunity to hit him with a massive Thunder attack and fry him and make hopefully make his paralyzed muscles act up with all the electricity.

Finish him off with Hyper Beam - if he wants to Earthquake, aim carefully, jump, and fire. Since Vulcan is paralyzed and isn't exactly very mobile, he won't be able to move much, especially with an Earthquake going on if it happens, so you should be able to aim just fine. Good luck.

If he's paralyzed the first action, however, Relax instead, and follow with your orders, of Thunder and Hyper Beam jump up and aim if need be. I know you'll have to land after shooting off your attack during Earthquake, but as soon as it stops shaking, there'll be a pause for you to aim your attack and jump again, as you can move faster than Vulcan can.

Machoke struggles free, takes a few steps forward, and stomps down his foot to create another Earthquake, but to his dismay, his foot stops short and paralysis stops him yet again, allowing Absol to fry the poor fighting type with a blast of Thunder.

Vulcan angrily staggers free a third time, this time successfully stomping down, sending a huge tremor towards the leaping Absol. Anyways, Pollux, if Vulcan is at 4% health, then use Quick Attack for the full round.

ROUND 11

-- BEGIN –

The ever-confident Rudiasho spews out a pillar of orange and red fire, which elegantly arcs up and plummets down into his opponent. The Dratini, Lenalee retaliates with a blast of white lightning, sending Rudiasho sliding back across the stage.

Then, as Torchic makes a running start for his opponent, Lenalee arrogantly reclines to a lying position behind her reflect screen, hoping most of the damage would be absorbed. However, Rudiasho’s boosted attack, and a critical hit from the focus energy it used the previous round were more than the Dratini had bargained for.

On a roll, Rudiasho prepares to startle its foe with a quick attack, but this time the small dragon Pokemon is prepared. It counters with an extreme speed, creating a spiraling blue blur around its opponent, easily dodging the quick attack. Shortly after, a dizzied Rudiasho stumbles back, and Lenalee smiles at the round’s ‘happy’ ending.

All right, lets start a Water Pulse x3. However, if he uses Quick Attack use Bubble Beam instead, and Swift to knock out clones.

Sub: Bubblebeam for Quick Attack, Swift for Double Team

ROUND 12

-- BEGIN –

Dratini begins by creating a few rings of water, sending them sizzling into her fiery opponent. Torchic retaliates with another powered up slash of its talons, this time not landing a critical hit.

Sticking to the water pulse strategy, Dratini continues to give her opponent super effective damage, meanwhile little Rudiasho sprays a glob of purple goo all over its opponent. Sopping wet with Grime, Dratini instinctively begins to try and wriggle free, but the toxic goo seeps in, poisoning the Dragon Pokemon – Not. Sorry to fool you like that, if I did, but, Dratini still has its safeguard up for this round and the next, so, no poisoning dude. Sorry.

Dratini, pleased by her defenses, launches yet another Water Pulse at Rudiasho, this time confusing the Pokemon, adding to its previous dizziness. And indeed, the confused Pokemon hurts itself in confusion, aiming its fire spin a bit too close to itself. Frustrated, Rudiasho retreats to the other side of the arena to prepare a new strategy.

Rudi relax for your first action. Then use a slash and end with aerial ace. Use swords dance to deflect any water attacks and mirror move any dragon moves.

Saffire Persian

All righty, Lenalee, lets go, shall we?

First off, use Dragon Dance that should trigger Rudi's sub, and he should Mirror Move it with you if he doesn't become confused. Next, as he's comes at you with that Slash, use Extreme Speed to dodge it and thwack him. Next, use another Dragon's Dance and Rudi should copy it. But you'll get the stat boosts anyway, so no harm done.

However, if at any time Rudi is affected by the confusion and can't attack or anything properly, sub the move you were going to use for Water Pulse . See if you can rattle him some more - except for the first action. Keep that one Dragon Dance.

ROUND 13

-- BEGIN –

Rudi prepares to do exactly what its trainer has ordered, but the clever Lenalee uses this against him by powering itself up with a majestic dragon dance and fooling the relaxing Torchic into wasting a Mirror Move instead to power himself up a little bit, adding to his already boosted attack.

Preparing to utilize this attack with a slash from his sharp talons, Rudiasho instead trips over himself and fails to attack, getting up only to get blasted by a water pulse, courtesy of Dratini.

Rudi struggles to its feet, and prepares to attack again, but Lenalee uses another Dragon Dance, resulting in the same conclusion as the first. Rudiasho pouts, tired from using Mirror Move twice.

:3 Doesn't Lenalee get the ATK boost as well (and speed?)

Regardless of whether or not he wants to, Rudi's going to have to relax. First off, I want you to use Waterpulse and disturb Rudi's relaxation as much as you possibly can. Next, shower him with a Water Pulse . Follow it up with another Water Pulse. If he tries to Swords Dance to block it, we'll try going the animé way, shoot the water pulse from above at the top of Rudi's head, instead of at the sides.

however, if Rudi tries to Slash you, wait for him to come at you and use Extremespeed to dodge out of the way. For clones, Swift , and if he tries to protect/detect/dig against your moves or is confused, Relax , or if he tries to rouse your sympathy with Attract, Safeguard .

ROUND 14

-- BEGIN –

Dratini eagerly begins with a water pulse, spraying the already weak Torchic with more water. Ignoring the assault, the fire Pokemon tries to relax…preparing for something.

Lenalee makes nothing of this, and again spurts clear liquid upon her opponent. Torchic does its best to stay on its feet as the water sops off of its wet fur.

Finally, Torchic leaps at Lenalee and blasts it with every ounce of energy it has left, ripping, pounding and clawing the dragon Pokemon. At the same time, Lenalee fires off another water pulse, and the two attacks collide in an overly dramatic clash.

The sopping wet Torchic, and the bruised Dratini stare each other down. Both Pokemon are very tired, but they don’t dare rest until they see their opponent let up a bit. Finally, Torchic collapses in a puddle of its own sweat, sighing hoarsely. It had Dratini on the ropes – and nearly finished it – but its last assault…

…was in vain.
