One of the radio stations where I live actually throws a huge party at a club around Valentine's Day just for singles. "Bitterball", they call it. Supposedly you go there to celebrate being single by finding someone and hooking up... o.O Anyway, I suppose it sounds cool, if you're into the whole "dating" deal (for the record, I am NOT).

Anyway, yes I'm celebrating Single's Awareness Day myself, in fact I've never had a girlfriend on Valentine's Day (but yes I have had a girlfriend). The one good thing about today is that I have off of school thanks to this ice storm, and I'm off of work so I get to celebrate being single at home (no don't get any ideas).

I've never had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day either. The good thing is I don't have to buy anything for a boyfriend I don't have. :P

Valentine's Day is not such a big deal over here, but boyfriends and girlfriends often exchange gifts on this day, and do some romantic activity.

I really wouldn't mind having a boyfriend, but I'm not going to get hooked up with the first guy I come across, so I guess I'll stay single for a while longer... as long as it takes for me to find someone I can be happy with.

And so, I spend Valentines alone. Or with my roommate, call it what you will. But I have nutella. And half a bagel. And over half a large bottle of cherry vodka. Hurrah.

I don't hate Valentine's Day, even though I'm single and all my friends are taken. The few of us who were single got together, ate some Easter candy and watched the Pirates porno... I'm not that emo that I have to curse a day over the fact that I didn't get any today... but it's been like three months and I need lovin'. T_______T;

Heh, I haven't been single for the last five Valentine's Days, and I've never done anything special. When I was dating pokemaniacbill, we lived too far apart to do anything more special than a phonecall. I've been with my new boyfriend for two Valentine's, and we've never done anything because it's been in the middle of the week and our schedules don't permit us to visit each other in the middle of the week. Besides, the 18th is his birthday, so since it's been on the weekend, I've just visited him then.


Whenever I get married, I don't want us to celebrate on Valentine's Day. I want us to celebrate the week after, with 75% off chocolates.
