Emergence

Of bodies chang'd to various forms, I sing:
Ye Gods, from whom these miracles did spring,
Inspire my numbers with coelestial heat;
'Till my long laborious work compleat:
And add perpetual tenour to my rhimes,
Deduc'd from Nature's birth, to Caesar's times.

In the year 2009, Magic returned to the world, things like lycanthropy, elven traits, and all sorts of other things like latent magical abilities and bloodlines all reactivated, leading to, among other things, mass hysteria and an eventual stabilization of the infrastructure five years later, 2014 AD, or, more commonly, year 1 PE(Post Emergence). Ten years have passed since, and life has, for the most part, normalized. Humans are now a mere 45% of the population and account for the majority of the upper and middle economic classes, though the changed people are merely classified as people with extraordinary abilities.

There are new sections, however, of police departments, and the military and government made to deal with the changes. Most notably, the incorporation of teams of "Emerged" individuals into the task forces, to make dealing with similarly Emerged individuals more easy. Bearing special skills and abilities, Emerged individuals have, to an extent, revolutionized the law and order process, Weres using their senses of smell, elves their grave and accuracy, and a whole slew of things, making them suited to their jobs.

However, there are also Emerged criminals, people who would use their gifts to take what they want or harm others. Due to this, the Emerged Units in the police departments are given jurisdiction over their peers, and special permission to handle cases where Emerged individuals are suspected to be involved.

You, are a member of the Emerged Police Unit in Absolution, a city in the American Midwest. Formerly a small town formed back during days when the midwest was a frontier, it, since the early nineties, experienced a growth spurt, growing into the vast metropoplis it is today, a cultural and economic center with millions of people in it.

Races(If you want something not on the list, please PM or IM me with a question):
Elf/Elves: Seemingly human, save for long, pointed ears ranging from three to four inches long, and being, in general, very beautiful, in a refined, graceful manner, Elves are best known for their inherent grace, and sharp eyes and ears.

Werecreatures/'Lycanthropes': One of the less common Emerged, they have three forms based on their associated animal, human, hybrid, and full animal. Their mental state is, at night, affected by the moon, leading them to animalistic, agitated stated of mind at the full moon, though there are methods to hold it off. Silver can, if extremely pure, burn them, but if it is impure, it won't have much or any outward effect. Can only turn another into a Were with a direct transmission of blood.

Faeries: Small humanoids around six inches tall, and with insect like wings ranging from that of a butterfly to those of a dragonfly, they can, with concentration, form illusions. They however, have little physical strength to speak of.

Vampires: The "undead" nightwalkers are known for super humanly acute senses and inhuman strength, but they can't stay for more than fifteen minutes in direct sunlight, or they begin to burn. Can eat or drink as normal, but blood is ultra healthy for them, and they possess a natural addiction to it. Bites require vampire blood to propogate themselves.

Incubi/Succubi: Two seperate races(a woman can become an Incubus, and thus a guy, or vice versa), they look like humans with skin, eyes and hair of any imaginable hue, small horns on their forehead, wings, and a tail with a spade shaped tip. They are naturally sensuous, but also inherently predatory, bearing inhuman strength. Can turn others into one like them by biting them and forcing some of their 'essence' into the subject.

Humans: You know what these are.

Sign-Up Form: (note, there are two Non-police slots, and they are already reserved. Thos who have them, note it in your Other category.)

My Char:
Name: Kyla Hamilton
Age:26
Race:Werewolf
Gender:Female
Personality: Nice, but direct and straight to the point. Has something of a no nonsense streak. She seems to, at the same time, have an "all the time in the world" additude, but doesn't hesitate either.
Appearance: In human form, she stands 5'6", and is rather well built, usually wearing overly large shirts, and stretchy pants and undergarments that can stretch to fit her hybrid form. This usually consists of a T-shirt and what appear to be Jeans with overly wide legs. She has brownish gray hair to her shoulders and yellow eyes.
Appearance2: In Hybrid form, she stands 6'1", and has more muscle to her form, but not to bodybuilder looking proportions. She's covered in brownish gray fur, and her ears are now canine in nature, on top of her head. Her fingers and feet are tipped with wicked claws, and she has a slight muzzle filled with nice pearly teeth.
Skills: Is VERY good at using her sense of smell, and isn't bad with her gun either. She knows the rules in and out, and can easily find loopholes when she needs to.
History: She Emerged as a werewolf at the age of twelve, and, after things calmed down, went through a therapy program to help her get a handle on her urges and changes. She turned towards law enforcement shortly after her mother mysteriously recovered from cancer when she was seventeen.
Other: Woo!

Name: Sofia Kristof
Age: 40-ish
Race: Succubus
Gender: Female(duh)
Personality: Direct, sensuous, and blunt, she says and does what she means to say and do. As well as people she means to do. She is an exception to the general trend that most people try to cling to some semblance of their old self, and embraced her new, sensual, predatory nature. She tends to be a bit forward with people.
Appearance: Standing at six feet tall, she has a body a porn star would die for. Her skin is a fine, slightly violet pink, and her eyes are a gemlike ruby color. Tending to wear a set of hot pants and a tank top, or less, she is one of the members of the department people don't think is a cop at first.
Skills: Heavy combat expert, seduction, living terror weapon(People tend to freak when someone walks in eating their former comrade's heart)
History:Her history, is, for the most part, pretty much unknown before the point where she litterally walked into the lobby of the department and applied for a job, and has been with the department for all ten years of its existence.
Other:Has a little black book of people she has done, and plans to do. She even records how many times and how good they were. This book has gotten near legendary status, as it's become something of a departmental contest to try and find where she hides it. No one's succeeded yet.

I sighed, stretching and getting out of bed, yawning, making my slight muzzle open wide. Walking, or, more appropriately, shuffling out of my bedroom and into the department's kitchen. Opening the fridge, I poked around, pulling out a gallon of milk, and a chunk of raw meat, snacking on the meat as I poured myself a glass of milk. Putting the milk away, I retrieved some coffee, mixing it into the milk, and downing the nasty concoction, shivering as it went down. Now that I was awake, I headed to one of the bathrooms for the living sections, carrying my clothes in with me.

Once I'd closed the door, I concentrated for a sec, shifting over to human form. Turning on the hot water, I cleaned myself, after checking to make sure the resident prankster hadn't messed with my shampoo. The hot water always felt so nice... Once that was done, I opened the medicine cabinet, pulling out a small syringe full of a liquid with silvery glittering spots in it. Sighing, I pulled the cap off the needle. Taking a breath, I pushed it into my free arm, squeezing the substance in. Getting dressed, I headed out to see what was going on in the station.

I headed down to the, as we called it, "Case Room" where reports were compiled and gathered, and handed out for active police members. No one was here at the moment, I plucked up a case sheet in the "Immediate" bin, which was those that were new, fresh, and hot. Glancing it over, I sighed, it appeared someone had wandered into the area of the slums alternately called "Were Town" or more negatively, "The Zoo". The poor schmuck was now a corpse. This one needed to be solved quickly, or it could start racial issues. Sighing, I headed to my office, bringing the file with me. It looked like we were going to have a busy case.

I headed around, gathering the others, and bringing them in. "Okay, we've got a case. Some idiot got killed in Were Town. We need to find out what happened, why, how long ago, and who did it. Mikhal, I hate to do this to you, but you're going to need to bring an umbrella or something, we can't wait till nightfall. It's on Thirty-fourth street, get everything ready and let's get the hell out there."

-------------------------------------------------

Okay, Just a bit of info, the department or station is a large building with two sections, one's more of a standard police station, with cells, an armory, offices, a motor pool, and such. The other section is a living section where you are free to live at, it has apartment like bedrooms, a group kitchen for each of the three floors, and a two bathrooms on each floor.

This IS the future, but what with the chaos of the Emergence and then the adjustment following it, technology hasn't radically advanced or anything. Other than having pure, clean ethanol fuel, and minor consumer advancements(Like the latest Nintendo console, the Paragon, for example) not much has changed.

Name: Lisa Moise

Age: 26

Race: Elf

Gender: Female

Personality: Very outgoing and optimistic. Friendly and easy-going. Gets along with others very easily.

Appearance: Tall, red-headed, with a great figure. When not wearing a police uniform, she loves to wear outfits that show it off - but not ones that make her look like a tramp.

Skills: Her people-skills have not been wasted. As a cop, she is good with police negotiations, and other diplomatic matters. Not that she is no stranger to tougher work, and like all elves, can use a gun with ease when things get ugly.

History: Before she emerged at age sixteen, Lisa was a plane Jane, an unpopular, unattractive teenager. The Emergence changed all that. In addition to giving her pointy ears, it gave her curves, gorgeous hair, and a perfect bone structure. It made her beautiful, and she considers herself one of the luckier ones.

For a while, she considered a career as a model, but pressure from other emerged humans led her to join the Emerged Police Unit. She takes to police work easily, as she does with most things. She believes that the Emergence is a beautiful thing, and hopes to help anyone who has experienced what she has. On the side, she is also a little attracted to Kale (with permission from CEB).

I sipped coffee as I listened to Kyla. I hoped that it would stem the headache. Last night had been an experience I didn't want to repeat. The guy I had been with apparently didn't want to accept "no" until I had put him in a headlock.

A killing in Were Town? Talk about a coincidence.

"Uh, Kyla?" I said. "I might be able to help. I made a friend in that place the last time I was there..."

"Friend?" asked Kyla.

"Well, I use the term losely, actually," I said. "More like ally. She's a tipster... A silver vixen, who..."

Everyone looked at me.

I didn't blame them. There were a lot of superstitions about silver vixens, werecreatures who only emerged out of females of Japanese descent. Their alternate forms were beautiful foxes with silvery fur. However, rumors held that they had... odd powers. Other rumors stated that they had a little vampire or a little succubus in them. I didn't believe that myself - it didn't make sense.

"Look people, all she is is someone who keeps informed of things in that part of town, and she doesn't mind selling the information to cops. I wouldn't say I'd turn my back on her, but she might know something."

Kyla looked at me closely...

Name: Seamus McLaren
Age: 28
Race: fairy
Gender: male
Personality: He's your average wise-crackin, beer guzzling, cocky irishman...... in the body of a 6 inch tall fairy..... the transformation has made him a bit oversensitive and shall we say sometimes a bit bitter?! He has a supremely mischievous streak which he unleashes on almost everyone to varying degrees. A real prankster, the easier he thinks someone got off with the whole emergence thing, the greater the degree of prank he is likely to pull on someone. He doesn't truly mean harm to anyone but it's the only thing he's found for being cruely transformed into the antithesis of what he hoped to be.
Appearance: Well, he's 6.4 inches tall, has red hair, has dragonfly wings with a green edge and orange interior. He wears green camo clothes that were manufactured for dolls (another source of bitterness for him as the only clothes he can purchase were designed to be worn by plastic figures).
Skills: Explosives, Alchemy, and Stealth. If you can find it in a regular household, Seamus can somehow convert it into a deadly explosive device.
History: Seamus was always a bit of a trickster. He excelled in chemistry and yet consistently managed to fail it by repeatedly causing property damage with his concoctions. He always failed to tell them it was intentional as he thought a failing grade might be better than suspension/expulsion. He 'emerged' when he was 16 just when he was starting to become popular. At the height of his popularity in high school he found himself transformed into a bloody pixie. None of his old friends or girlfriends could take him seriously anymore. For a while he refused to come out of his room. He decided there was no life for an irishman of such stature. So, he busily sulked away, hidden from the world playing with chemicals. It was during this two year seclusion he became quite knowledgable on the subject of explosives. During his last experiment at home he managed to detonate half of his families house while no one else was home. This was his first actual accidental property damage. It made the news and upon learning it was a fairy that was responsible he was paid an unfriendly visit by his countries equivalent of the EPU. He was summarily arrested and spent two months in prison. Upon being released Seamus decided it was best to move on.... preferrably to somewhere he didn't have an arrest record and wasn't the biggest small joke in town. So, he moved to America to a growing city named Absolution (the name struck a chord with Seamus as being appropriate to his situation). Less than an hour upon arrival he was approached by the EPU and 'encouraged' to consider coming to work for them. Apparently his records had been faxed to their department ahead of him and seeing he was quite knowledgable and had never harmed anyone they thought he'd make a fine addition. Partly because they didn't have any explosives experts yet but mostly to keep an eye on the mischievous irishman. They promised him his own lab and the opportunity to 'blow things up'. Seamus saw that promise as a way to get back at someone for the cruel trick pulled on him by turning him into a pixie. Afterall, he really didn't mean to hurt any good and decent people so better blowing up bad guys for revenge than accidentally hurting someone innocent which he was sure was bound to happen eventually if he continued his chemical experimentation unsupervised. He has been a member of the EPU for 8 years now. There is no member of the EPU that has not fallen prey to his trickster nature. In fact, no new recruit can survive their first week without joining the vast club of prank victims. Among his most memorable pranks was lacing Kyla's shampoo so it turned all of her hair purple (and by all, I mean all, including all the fur in her were-form)
Other: He is a chemical genius even though there is nothing about his behavior or mannerisms or speech that suggests he possesses such intelligence.

Seamus McLaren
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seamus floated up from his pillow, sloppily gliding side to side. It was a humorous site, watching Seamus with a hangover. Like watching someone walking on a cruise ship in rough weather only he managed to stumble dizzily side to side in midair courtesy of his wings. Adding to the humor, fairies were not typically known for their like of drink as their tiny bodies granted them little constitution to process alchohol. Seamus, being Irish, was an exception to this common perception of this particular breed of 'emerged beings'.
Of course, in his head pounding body so sore he could barely move stupor the humor of the picture presented was completely lost to Seamus himself, leaving only his fellow EPU compatriots to enjoy the show before he was coherent enough to fully understand him. They all knew better than to show amusement at his drunken stupor when he was in full command of his faculties, of course, because with his size and considerable knowledge of chemistry and explosives he could and was frequently known to set non-lethal but markedly painful or embarassing traps in the unlikeliest of places for anyone he felt had slighted him. Seamus was someone who needed very little to set him off.
This morning, however, he was not in full command of his faculties as there was a not unconsiderable amount of alchohol still flowing through his tiny little body from the previous evening. Something that everyone in the case room could observe as he clumbsily bounced off the door as he flew in.
"Ooooooooh me bloody 'ead. Next time could ya stop me at 10 thimbles Lisa?" he mumbled very loudly for someone so small as he fell into a chair with a dull thump. "An what'd ya do once I passed out at the bar last night luv? Let the patrons do a jig on me? Feels like me whole bodies crushed from the neck down like someone ad me ina full body lock."
Seamus, his mind still happily swirling about did not manage to notice Lisa's face go blood red. He also failed to notice the book hurtling through the air at him from her immediate direction. It connected just as he looked up and once again Seamus was gripped by the wonderful bliss of being unconscious.
OOC: just wanted to get Seamus' character rolling right off the bat. ;) Someone just scoop him up and grab his forensics chemistry bag and drag them both along please. I promise he'll be coherent next time he comes to at the crime scene. ^_^
Name: Kale Byston
Age: 24
Race: Elf (duh)
Gender: Male
Personality: Kale is a bit cocky and will easily lose his focus after a big victory, but most of the time he is on the job.
Appearance: Great big blue green eyes that glow in the dark, his ears are about 3 inches. Likes to wear a lot of blue, most of the time he is wearing a blue top with a strange green insignia printed on it with long blue jeans.
Skills: Because of his elven traits Kale is very good with a gun, he is also a very good tracker.
History: Kale was emerged at age 15, he thought his life could continue on as normal but the elven traits were sinking in to his body. He began to see and hear things that others couldn't, this turned him temporally insane. Since he was brought up in a remote part of the world, he never used to get news of the emerged and just thought he was turning into a freak. Until one day he heard of the EPU on in America and decided to join up.
Other: BLARG?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kale ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I woke with a sort of an angry growl as a pounding headache scorned through my weary head.

"That is the last time I let Seamus talk me into a drinking contest, for a 6 inch high pixie he sure can drink a lot for his size"

I picked my sorry self up of the deflated foam matress and casually walked into the bathroom and into the shower.

"Ahhhhh" I screamed at the top of my lungs "Who the hell used up all the hot water"

"Sorry" came a undermined reply from down stairs.

At this new development I dried my self off and walked over to my dresser and plucked out my uniform.

Doing up the buttons as I walked down the stairs, I heard the ramblings of the resident loudmouth Seamus being projected across the room at his unsuspecting team mates.

"Ok what is the deal today guys?" I enquired

"Some punk ass got himself killed down at the "Zoo" today" replied Kyla

"Ah will you all just Shut up" replied Seamus his voice being muffled by a large book "Can't a guy get any sleep around here?"

"So when do we move out?" I asked

"Soon" answered Kyla "......Hopefully"

I moved over towards Lisa a look of frustration shadowed her face.

"So how are you doing today?" I asked

Name: Mikhail Ardashi

Age: 21

Race: Vampire

Gender: Male

Personality: Mikhail is arrogant and self-sure and believes in the natural superiority of the Emerged of Humans. He is a very intelligent person, but in the heat of the moment, tends to loose his head and forgets to think. He is also very elusive - he never what says what he thinks, only what the other people need or want to know. He is loyal to his EPU, but is amused by his human comrades and superiors. He doesn't get angry very easily, and prefers to be calm and collected.

Appearance: He is tall (6'5") and lean. He has short, slightly spiky black hair. He has a very aristocratic face, he looks like an Eastern European nobleman. Of course, he is quite pale.

Skills: He is a skilled shooter and due to his strength is an effective fighter, though he has had little melee training and is not an efficient fighter. He is a good interrogator and due to being a Vampire, is specialised in night operations. He is also an aspiring tactician, though a terrible leader.

History: He grew up in a small, almost abandoned town in the Russian region of Smolensk. He was bitten by a vampire when he was fourteen, and after accidentally cutting a friend while playing, the smell of the blood so attracted him that he attacked and drained his friend of his blood. He as discovered while doing this, and was chased out of town. He fled Westwards and eventually found London, where he lived as an urchin before being found and taken in by an orphanage. At eighteen, he joined the police and showed such promise that he was sent to America as a special liaison to work with an American EPU. The city he was sent to was Absolution.

Mikhail
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I opened my eyes as Kyla entered the Case Room. I had been up all night as normal, prowling the city for trouble. I don't know how I missed finding the victim in The Zoo, but his case was here and waiting for me as soon as I returned.
Normally, my kind has enough stamina to keep going for several days without sleep - though it's a bad idea, as our bloodlust gets continually stronger. I gad been having a catnap to stave of my hunger, as I knew it would be a busy day.
I got up from my chair and ambled over to the room's staff fridge. Normally we would only have a coffee machine, but because of the vampires on the force, new rules require that they stock blood for us as well. I reached inside the freezer and grabbed a frozen pack of pig's blood. Common stuff, it tasted horrible. Most vampires drank it - and I think it's also why so many vampires turned bad. Mass produced by humans in battery farms, it tasted nothing like the blood from a free animal. I slipped it into the microwave and waited as the rest of my comrades filed in.
*DING*
The microwave sounded, and I poured the blood into my mug. I always had to be careful to use the one mug for blood, as I don't think the others would be too happy at the idea of me drinking blood from where they drink their coffee.
I went to Kyla as the group formed around her.
"Mikhal, I hate to do this to you, but you're going to need to bring an umbrella or something, we can't wait till nightfall."
"Sure," I said, "just let me get my things."
I left the group for the locker room and got my black leather trenchcoat and cowl. Normally I hate the dramatics of this uniform, as it represents all of humanity's old fears and prejudices about my kind, but it did it's job well, as long as I wore this kit, the sun couldn't harm me. Nevertheless, I brought my black canvas umbrella along anyway.
When I got back, the group was starting to break up, except for Seamus who was lying on the table unconscious.
"Silly little man" I said to myself, as I picked him up and gently deposited him in my pocket. I was glad for my vampire constitution just then - because of my superior body, it was almost impossible for me to get drunk.
As the rest of the group went over the final plans, I went back to my chair to watch the proceedings.
~*~*~*~*~ Waking up ~*~*~*~*~
The smell of morning trash and sewage assaulted my nose as I woke up, stretching my fingers and toes as I flipped around on the wet concrete. Mixed in the smell of trash and sewage and smog was the sweet smell of meat. Licking my lips, tasting the sweet taste of blood, I opened my eyes to see a mass in front of me. I must have hunted last night, even though I usually get fed by Hafiz at night when I come to him in my animal form. So what was it? A dog? Cat? The mass came into view, a human. “Oh crap Oh crap.” I scooted back from the dead body.
I brought my hands up to my face, they were caked in blood, glancing down I could see that the blood was in my hair, and all over my naked body. “What do I do what do I do.” I glanced around, rushing over and grabbing my clothes from beneath a dumpster and shaking the roaches off of them before putting them on. I ran my hands through my hair, feeling as the strands stuck together from the blood.
I had to hide, I had to find somewhere to hide, I couldn’t stay here with a dead body, the police would find me. Stepping back and almost tripping over my feet, I turned and ran out of the alley, turning left, and then right, before finding the markings of Hafiz’s shop. I didn’t know how to read, but I knew the scent. Racing as fast as I could, I rushed into the shop, swinging the door open and rushing in. Hearing the noise, Hafiz rushed around the counter and stopped, looking me over with wide eyes. “Wait! Who are you, and what are you doing in my shop?” He asked, moving his left hand behind the counter and pulling out a gun, aiming it at me.
I glanced outside, hearing the sounds of police cars off in the distance. “Please Hafiz, help me, I need to hide.” I pleaded, taking a step forward, only to have him cock the gun and aim it’s sights at me. “Please it’s me, I come here every night to eat, you feed me in the alley.” I pleaded taking another step forward.
With this Hafiz lowered his gun ever so slightly, before finally dropping it onto the counter. “So you’re that tiger… tell me what happened.” He asked, taking my arm and moving me into one of the backrooms. He started the water into a sink and moved away. “Here, tell me while I get some of that off of you.” He grabbed a towel and dipped it into the water.
I relished the feeling of warm water as he ran the towel across my cheeks, dabbing off the blood. “I woke up this morning, covered in blood and having this dead body in front of me” I explained as he ran the towel over my hands. “I didn’t eat him, I promise.” I pleaded as he dropped the towel and went over to the door, glancing outside to notice the police investigating the dead body down the street.
Walking back in, his face full of worry as I sat down on the floor. “You don’t plan to eat me do you?” He asked as I began to worry even more, fur softly washed over my body as I felt the standard pulling and twisting of a switch to my half way form. “Y-You’re ch-changing.” He gulped.
I glanced down at my paw like hands and placed my face in them. “This happens when ever I get scared, I cant control my changes.” I explained, shivering a bit, hearing a knock on his shop door. “I promise I wont eat you, you’re my friend.” I looked up at him.
A softer look came over his face as he took in several breaths. “I don’t even know you’re name, anyway come here.” He waved me quickly out of the room and to one of the furthest doors, opening it and leading me into the basement. “Stay in the dark here.” He placed his hands on my furry shoulders.
I nodded back as he walked back up the stairs and began to shut the door. “Kara.” I quickly said as the door almost closed. He opened it again to look in. “My name is Kara.” I repeated.
“Okay just stay quiet Kara.” He whispered, closing the door shut. I took in a deep breath, trying to quiet my heart as my tail twitched back and forth quickly. There were stories about how the police hated Weres have they would kill them just for not looking at them nicely.
I hated the Police.
I shook my head, looking at the corpse. I'd shifted to hybrid on the way over, so my tail wagged behind me, and the alley was alive with different scents. The body was... messy, to say the least. Some standard officers were body bagging it since the CSI team was done. I turned to my group.
"Okay people, fan out, see if you can find anything, or any one with information that might help. Keep in touch via radio whenever possible, the perp likely isn't around, but one can't be too careful." I took a deep breath, sifting through scents for a likely one. "I'll try to find a good scent."
Getting past the smells of sewage, police officers, and others, I smelled another, one with a mix of the victim's and something else, something feline, something scared. I glanced around, the others had already gone their own ways. Walking off, I followed it, this was a likely lead.
"Oh, hello there." Stated a voice out of thin air, a voice I knew no one else would hear. I glanced around, making sure no one was around, before answering.
"Look, I know you're not allowed to tell me anything, so please, don't interrupt my work." I stated to the voice.
"Oh, don't worry, just thought I'd tell you the kitten's time is nowhere near soon."
I blinked, and shook my head, going back to following the scent.
Name: Hafiz Abdullah
Age: 18
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Personality: Hafiz is actually fine with the Emerged, given that they were not the Emerged criminal – and he even has some fear and admiration towards the were-creature – but somehow is a bit paranoid of the vampire. It can be said that he is quite a religious person, sticking firmly to his religion and root. He believes that the whole Emergence event is a punishment from god. He has a bit of soft spot for little kids. He is calm and collected, and doesn’t panic easily. For some weird reason, he is a bit sleepy at the day, but he is quite active at night.
Appearance: Stands at about 5’6’’, his face bears a feature like those from the south east asia- a malay, as what was called back in his old country- darkened skin and dark eyes and hair. His hair is usually kept short in a crew cut. His left hand bore a burn mark, but neither of his parents tells him where he got it from. He is usually seen dressed in plain t-shirt and jeans, but for his footwear, he usually chose to wear ‘mandal’ – the kind of sandal that men usually wore.
Appearance2: None
Skills: He has a shotgun kept in his shop that he will use should any of the emerged criminals decide to mess with him. He also has some skills in using knives.
History: Hafiz has stayed at America since he was 2 years old- his family had moved there because they were invited by one of his father’s cousin there. He didn’t remember anything at all about his old country, Malaysia, and he couldn’t speak much of the language of the country either as he is taught to speak English since he was small. He could barely remember what had happened during the chaotic years of the Emergence, but from what he heard from his mother, it was a tough years for them. Hafiz has helped his family at their meat shop, and that was what he’s doing until this day – even after his parents have moved away to someplace else where there were more humans and less of the Emerged.
Other: He is not a member of the emerged police unit.
Hafiz Abdullah
[[The first encounter]]
After having his daily exercise and breakfast, Hafiz was ready to open his shop.
He yawned, and reminded himself to sleep earlier than the normal time of one to three A.M.
It was now 8 A.M.
The good thing about working alone is that you don’t get bossed around. And you don’t get picked by your colleagues too, not that you have one to start with.
The not so good thing is that you’re responsible for your own paycheck. You’re responsible for everything in your business, and there was nobody else that you can point your finger on should your business goes down.
And now is a down time for Hafiz’s meat shop business. Day by day, even less and less customer came to his shop. Sometimes, he had thoughts of saving his money, quits his job, and takes a flight back to Malaysia. Mm, that’d be good, he reasoned. You don’t see too many Emerged on Malaysia…
The sounds of sirens jolt his attention up from his dull and boring job. Is it one of those Emerged criminal again? he thought.
Then there was the sound of the door being opened, abruptly. Alarmed, Hafiz dove beneath the counter and reached out for the shotgun, and eyed the door cautiously. Whoever or whatever it was that had pushed the door opened was now inside his shop.
Praying to Allah that whatever it was that was in his shop was not an Emerged criminal, Hafiz leapt out from the counter, the gun pointed forward.
What greeted him was a girl that appears to be around the age of 14 to 16, with loose shirt and pants. Blood were spilled across her cloth, giving her the appearance as if she had killed someone.
“Wait! Who are you, and what are you doing in my shop?” he shouted, fingers ready to press down on the trigger.
The girl looked up at him with a face that has a mixture of scare and hurt. “Please Hafiz, help me, I need to hide...” She took a step forward, only to have Hafiz cocking the gun.
“Please… it’s me… I come here every night to eat… you feed me in the alley…”
Hafiz thought about the girl’s words for a second, remembering that he haven’t fed anyone; this was a meat shop after all, not some restaurant.
Hold on a minute… did she just said alley?
”Here, kitty, kitty, kitty…” Hafiz passed a plate of meat towards the hungry tiger cub who had been scratching the back door for some time now. He was afraid at first that the tiger might pounce on him, but it soon appeared that the tiger had only wanted some meat from his shop.
“Kitty won’t eat Hafiz up, right?” he asked nervously when he opened the back door, meeting the tiger for the first time.
The tiger growled, but looked up at him with a hopeful look. Hafiz soon returned with a plate of meat, and he watched the tiger slowly eating the meat.
“That’s a good kitty…” he said. The tiger purred.
Upon this revelation, Hafiz lowered his shotgun and eyed the girl intently. “So, you’re that tiger…” The girl nodded. “Tell me what happened.”
I sighed as I looked around the back alleys.
Why did crimes always seem to occur in dirty, smelly places? Why couldn’t they ever happen in bakeries or flower shops?
Well, I supposed I couldn’t count on asking that vixen… Not unless she found me…
“Are you lost, little elf?” said a voice from behind me.
I spun around, and saw her.
Perhaps I had spoken two soon.
She was standing there, in her hybrid form, holding a fan in front of her foxlike face, and wearing Japanese traditional clothing. She seemed out of place in this grimy alley.
“Looking for a murderer, are you, little elf?” she purred.
“What do you know about it, Shizuka?” I asked.
“How do you know I didn’t do it?” she mused. “Maybe you’re confronting a murderer right now.”
“I could take you in right now just for saying that,” I said.
She smiled.
“A little tiger cub is hiding in a butcher shop, little elf,” she said. “Look for her, and follow the path from there.”
She turned to leave.
“Wait…” I said. “You’re just telling me for free? What’s your game?”
She was gone.
A tiger cub in a butcher shop?
I didn’t know whether to believe her or not…
…but maybe it was something to work with.
I had to find Kyla...
~*~*~*~*~ Hiding ~*~*~*~*~
I waited for what felt like hours upon hours, upstairs there were people moving around, the sound of talking, and then the sound of the door closing. Minutes later the door to the basement opened and the sound of Hafiz’s footsteps came down the steps. “Kara? It’s safe to come out now.” He called out; I took in a long deep breath through my nose and stepped out of the shadows, my tail flicking wildly. My fur bunched up in fear, but slowly eased back as I began to calm. “It may still not be safe to go upstairs but..”
He stepped forward, a plate of meat in his hands, the smell of the raw food assaulted my nose immediately, drool dripping from my mouth. “I figured you would be hungry.” He shrugged, moving over to a dusty table and placing the plate on it. With cat like accuracy I was at the table within a second, hunched over the plate, ripping into the meat with my claws and stuffing it into my mouth.
Hafiz stood there, watching in shock for a second before slowly moving into a chair opposite of me at the table. “What is it like?” He finally spoke up, I stopped in mid chew, looking up at him with little bits of meat all over my muzzle. “The Change? Having a Tail? Being.. a tiger” He asked.
I took a second to think over the question, wiping the meat off of my muzzle with a swipe of my furry arm. “Well the tail, see it has a mind of it’s own, it twitches and reacts to how I am feeling, I think.” I explained, Hafiz seemed to be watching me intensely, listening to every single thing I said. “Do you want to touch it?” I asked, snapping Hafiz out of his zone.
“I don’t…” He began to say.
“C’mon it isn’t going to bite.” I added, Hafiz took in a deep breath and then rose from his seat, walking over and hovering a hand just over my tail. I glanced behind my shoulder as he lowered his hand, petting the fur and sending a warm feeling through my body. “The change is weird, it feels like when you stretch in the morning, everything stretches and then you feel a warm feeling come over you like a blanket, that is the fur.” I explained.
It took me a few seconds to realize that I was also purring as Hafiz stroked my tail. He stopped, moving his hand up and scratched the top of my head before moving away. “I always liked Were Tigers, ever since I was little.” He explained, sitting back into his chair.
I paused for a second, my eyes lighting up. “Do you want me to turn you into one?” I asked,
Hafiz’s face went pale quickly, as he shook his head. “No, no, that is okay.” He refused as my heart sank. It would be really cool having a friend that was also a Were Tiger, most other Were Tigers were mean and aggressive, well like me most of the time.
A long silence followed, as we just sat there, and then as if willed to break the silence, something moved in the far corners of the room. I directed my sense that way quick sounds of wings came to my ears, something stronger than a normal bugs. “Some one is watching us.” I whispered to Hafiz, my fur bunching up, and a deep growl coming from the bottom of my throat.
[[Busted?]]
Upon noticing the knock on the door, Hafiz quickly took the were-tiger girl towards the basement, and this is where he learnt her name. She is Kara.
Hafiz opened the door, and wasn’t all surprised to find two police member standing in front of the door. After an initial greeting, where Hafiz made himself look as if he had no clue why the officers came to his house, the officer asked him if he had seen any were tiger lurking around the area.
And so he said that he haven’t seen one, and being the Good Samaritan he was, he’d quickly inform the police should he meet any suspicious looking character; he even lamented the killing incident, telling the officers that they should catch the culprit as soon as possible.
When one of the officers asked if they could look around, Hafiz laughed a bit, saying that it was not necessary. When they asked him if he was by any chance hiding a killer in his shop, he replied by saying that what benefit would he get by hiding a were-tiger in his shop? They’d probably eat away his meat, leaving him in bankruptcy.
Without waiting for the officer to reply, Hafiz slammed shut the door.
Hafiz had passed a plate of meat for Kara to eat, and they began to talk. As he was fascinated towards the were tigers (and the whole feline family in general), he began to ask Kara what it feels to be a were-tiger. Kara explained, and later on, even let him to touch her tail. Hafiz hesitated a bit, but soon went for it; the tail was smooth to touch, and apparently, Kara was satisfied with the stroking, purring as he ran his hands over the tail.
“I always like were tigers, ever since I was little,” he said after he took a seat into one of the chair in the basement.
“Do you want me to turn you into one?” she asked.
Hafiz’s face went pale as he heard those words; sure, he was fascinated with the were tigers, but he sure doesn’t want to be one. “No, no… that’s okay…” he answered, much to the dismay of Kara.
There was a moment of silent before Kara head suddenly perked up, her eyes widened, and her teeth bared. “Someone is watching us,” she whispered, her fur stood up on their end. She was growling.
Carefully but swiftly, Hafiz grabbed a crowbar nearby, slowly moving towards where Kara’s piercing gaze were aimed. Whoever it was that were watching them was upstairs, and so Hafiz tiptoed quietly, taking one step at a time.
On the last step, Hafiz paused, took a deep breath, and leapt out, swinging the crowbar in front of him. It swished through the air, before it was stopped by the wall.
No one. There was no one there. He rested his back on the walls when he noticed something on the counter.
There were footsteps. Tiny footsteps.
Someone else was definitely here.
“Well,” he said after he went back to the basement. “What do we do now?”
~*~*~*~*~ Hiding ~*~*~*~*~
It wasn’t long before the door burst open, feet hitting the dusty boards as several cops ran down the steps, surrounding us in a semi circle as I took cover behind Hafiz. “Please don’t leave me.” I grasped his shirt, my eyes darting to each of the cops, some of them human while others looked like they had emerged like I had. “Hafiz..” I whispered to him through clinched teeth.
Hafiz took a step forward, holding his hands up. “We will both go with you.” He said, his eyes darting to the Were Wolf Cop who stepped past him quickly and took me by the arm.
I grabbed Hafiz’s arm, digging my claws in accidentally as we passed him. “Don’t let them take me.” I begged, my claws drawing blood from his hand while the Werewolf girl snapped handcuffs onto them, which just slipped off my small wrists.
“If you are innocent, you have nothing to fear.” The werewolf cop spoke up, giving me a stiff yank on the tail. Everything that happened next happened in slow motion, I spun around my claws slashing at her face. The Werewolf Cop seemed to respond on instinct, flashing her claws, and raking them off my cheeks, digging them in deep and drawing blood as I was sent falling to the ground.
Hafiz was instantly kneeling down next to me, a bloody hand on my fur, checking the wound to see how deep it was. “I’m okay.” I whispered, rising to my feet, a deep growl bubbling from my throat. Everything seemed to go into a zone as I leapt at the cops, claws outstretched, my mouth opening with my teeth ready to rip at flesh.
______________________________________
With a gutteral growl, I snapped into action, swerving out of the tiger's way, and snapping down on her back with a single fisted slam into her back, making her hit the ground with a hard thud.
She reacted quickly, swerving her leg, and clawing into mine with her rear claws, before swinging up to her feet. By now, the others had taken Hafiz out, leaving me to deal with her. I stepped back, making a "come on" motion with my hand, daring her to attack.
She growled, obviously wrapped up in rage, bloodlust and the moment, admittedly, I could feel the same sensations, but I remained in control. Suddenly, she leaped at me again, and I swerved to the side again, this time lashing out, and grabbing her ankle, digging my claws into the hamstring, before letting her drop to the ground.
She cried out in pain, now temporarily maimed, and looked at me afraid.
"Don't kill me, I didn't kill that guy!" She cried out.
I stood there, panting, as thoughts raced through my head, fighting instincts. Part of me wanted to finish things, instincts told me to go for the throat, tear it out, revel in it. Taking a deep breath, I pushed it away, pulling out an air powered pistol.
"Don't worry, this is a tranquilizer." I stated, shooting the dart into her leg.
As the tranq took effect, she whispered, "Hafiz."
I then called out to the rest, "I'm done, let's get these two to the station."
[[And my blood is my own now… or is it?]]
Everything seems to happen rather quickly. Upon realizing that the police had his place surrounded, Hafiz had proposed to Kara that should they surrender soundlessly to the police, then things might just end smoothly for them. Kara obliged, despite her nervousness and fear.
One of the police officers tried to apprehend her, but she put up a struggle. In the process, her fingers had accidentally pricked Hafiz’s arm. That was the least of Hafiz’s worry right now. Kara had started to attack the police officer, and thing got rather bloody. Fast.
Hafiz only had the briefest time to check on the wound that the police officer had inflicted on Kara when the were tiger girl continued her assault on the police officer. Hafiz was then lead out of the shop, as the two were creature – a were wolf and a were tiger – fought against each other.
Later, the police officer was finished, leaving the rest of the police to pick the limp and unconscious Kara. She then gestured Hafiz towards the police car, and Hafiz knew what he had to do. In his mind, he hoped that nothing bad would happen to the girl.
He looked out as the car moved, and he began to feel that there was something not right with him. It was as if something has just passed through his body, and suddenly, his senses were heightened. His eyes, nose, ears, skins… they had suddenly become a lot more sensitive. And his teeth… they felt as if they had became sharper.
He began to notice a great scent of iron, and he then realized where it was coming from. It was his arm – it was covered in blood, a mixture of his own and Kara’s blood.
Uh-oh…
During the interrogation, Hafiz had only one thing in his mind:
“I’m not turning into a were tiger… am I?”
When they finally finished asking him questions, he quickly asked them where the were tiger girl – Kara – was kept. And they told him, she’s sitting in one of the cell, and not to worry, they had tended to her wound. Hafiz then asked, would it be okay is he was to talk with the girl before he return back home? They said it was okay, and so Hafiz was escorted towards the cell that held Kara.
He doesn’t want to ask them if it was possible that he’s turning into a were tiger. No… they might then continue to keep him here, and who knows what they might do to him?
Kara was lying on the bed when they came towards the cell door. As soon as the escorting police officer was out of sight, Kara walked up until her body rested on the bars that separated the two of them from each other. “Hafiz… what’s wrong?” she asked. “You look scared.”
“Kara,” he said, keeping both hands in the pocket. “Well… I suddenly have this strange feeling, as if my body is changing… and I was wondering, if…”
Kara sniffed at Hafiz. Her eyes widened. “You smell like a weretiger…”
Hafiz shivered. “Really?”
“But, how could it… what happened?” Kara asked, her lips momentarily trembling.
Hafiz seems to ponder on the matter, before he raised one of his arms – the one that Kara had scratched – and showed it to her. “I think this explain it.”
Kara looked down at her feet. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…”
Hafiz sighed and leaned his back against the bars. “So, Kara… how long do you think it will be before I transform?”
Kara closed her eyes, appearing to be in deep focus. “Can you feel the moon coming? Maybe in a few hours?” Sensing that Hafiz had started to hyperventilate, Kara immediately reached out her hands out, wrapping them around him in an embrace.
“I’m so sorry…” she said, sounding like she was about to cry. “You didn’t want this… you are my best friend, and I caused this…”
Hafiz slowly pulled Kara’s hands from him, trying to hide the fact that the hug had made him uncomfortable. “Well… it already happens, right?” Kara said nothing, but just gave a nod.
Silence passed between them.
When Hafiz went back, he wished that he had said something after that; something that would have soothed Kara. Maybe an “I believe that you didn’t kill the guy” would suffice.
Later, during maghrib – dusk – he began to feel himself slowly changing.
He screamed, and eventually, the scream turned into a roar, accompanied with the transformation of his body.
~*~*~*~*~ Interrogation ~*~*~*~*~
The room that they placed me in after Hafiz left, was utterly unremarkable, pure white walls, pure white floors and ceilings, a mirror at the opposite end of the room, and two metal chairs and a table, both of which were freezing cold. The door opened after a hour, a tall red headed officer who I could have sworn I saw in the basement, her scent told me immediately that she was a elf. She smiled, sitting down opposite of me. “It’s really cold in here.” She shivered, I gave her one of those ‘no duh’ looks.
She brought out some papers, shifting through them for a minute before looking up at me, I had changed back to my human form when I woke up, they dressed me in a orange jumpsuit which seemed too baggy. “You look remarkably grown up for a twelve year old.”
I shrugged sinking deeper into my chair. “When can I get out of here?” I asked, fumbling with my fingers as the elf girl sighed placing her hands on the table.
“I know you want to go, but think of this as a blessing, you are malnourished, so you can get fed here, you have a bunk instead of a alley floor, you have something to wear other than those unclean ratty old clothes.” She offered.
I shot back a glare, crossing my arms defiantly. “I’m a prisoner.” I mumbled back, looking away at the wall, trying to pretend that I was actually interested in them. There was a long drawn out moment as the elf woman sat back in her chair.
Finally she placed her hands on the table, snapping my attention back to her. “Look if you want to get out of here, please tell me something about the dead man in the alley we found.” She offered. “Tell me something that can help you, and I promise I will help you get released.” She pleaded.
I looked away again, drawing a sigh from the woman. I really had no idea what to say, I didn’t even know if I was innocent, what was I going to say? The door flung open, a busty six foot tall woman pushing her way in much to the shock of the elf girl. “Listen you little cub, we have a dead body, possibly more, the lab will get back with research this evening, if it matches you, then you could spend most of your life inside one of those cells, or we can just eat you, we do that these days you know” She spat, ending it with a smile as she walked right up and towering over me.
I shot a glare back at her, although fear began to creep into my eyes as I turned away after a minute. “Sofia..” The Elf girl whispered, getting up and placing her hands on my shoulders. “I think this is over, we can try this later okay?” She offered, helping me out of my chair and leading me out of the room.
I wasn’t five feet out of the room before I began to tremble, I continued to tremble even after they got me back into the cell and left me alone. The one window showed the sun beginning to dip over the horizon. “I hope you are okay Hafiz.” I whispered, trying to steady my body.
I could feel my body begin to change, bones rearranging and shrinking, my face stretching, my eyes becoming sharper, the feeling of a warm coat washing over my body, and as always something pushing at the edge of my mind, something that slowly began to take over more and more. The door to the Jail Cell opened, the Werewolf cop striding in, a plate of meat in her hands, to which she sat down in front of the pile of clothes that I climbed out of.
She picked me up by the scruff of the neck, looking at me, and running her claws through my fur before sitting me down in front of the meat to which I instantly began to knaw at. “No offense… but I think you are too small to eat a person.” She laughed, finishing with half of the meat I moved over to a corner and curled up into a ball, paying no attention to the woman in the cell. Sleep soon came, but in the back of my mind I continued to worry about Hafiz.
"EAT her?" I asked, not at all pleased. "Why not threaten to make her fur into a rug while you're at it?"
Kyla didn't answer at first. She poured water from the bubbler into a cup.
"Lisa," she said, in a voice that was suspiciously like a snarl, "I seem to recall that YOU were the one who found out the suspect was hiding at that place."
"I said that my informant told me that, and I quote," I replied, "that 'a tiger cub was hiding at a butcher shop, and finding her would find answers'. I don't exactly trust Shizuka, by the way...
"You know, Kyla, maybe I don't understand because I got a different deal than you and that kid, but I have to wonder...
"With folks like you, how much is still human...
"...and how much is wild."
She glared at me for a minute. I didn't know whether she was going to take offense or not.
She smiled...
"It depends a good deal on how much you want to stay human," she replied.
I checked my watch. My shift ended in fifteen minutes.
"Have you seen Kale, by the way?" I asked.
I needed to blow off some steam. At least that poor kid would be safe for now... There's no place safer for a werebeast than a jail - it isn't like they were going to give one a cellmate.
In the meantime, I could use something to calm down.
Tag to Kale, or someone else who wants to go with me.
Kale
After the arrest the was much I had to contemplate about this Kara Anders, why would she kill some one. What was her motive, Money, Food, Emotions, Instinct?, Orders?. Also how did this Hafiz guy get caught up in the whole event?.
"Whoa I have to have a break from all this thinking" I whispered.
I moved in towards the kitchen via the prisoners cells, I looked over in Kara's cell she was just sitting int he corner of her cell sleeping.
"How could something so little cause so much trouble" I thought
Continuing onto the kitchen I grabbed the hot water and poured myself a cup of coffee, retreating to the lounge I carefully sipped the coffee still thinking about this case.
"Has anyone seen Kale?" asked Lisa from the other room.
"Yeh I am in here" I replied.
"Do you want to do something tonight, I need to blow off some steam" she asked
"Well, I am not doing anything tonight so ok. But you choose were we go"
"Ok" she replied
It was nine PM.
I lead Kale to the upscale part of Absolution, where lights flashed from fancy bars and nightclubs.
“Uh, Lisa…” he said, “I don’t think we can afford to eat in this part of town…”
“Don’t worry,” I said with a smirk. “This place is relatively cheap.”
I pointed to one nightclub with a stern-faced elf doorman at the front.
Rivendall
“Rivendall?” he asked. “What the?”
“The owner calls himself Elrond,” I replied, “though it isn’t his real name.
“I don’t have to tell you, Kale, that normal folk tend to look down on people like us. This Elrond guy… He got sick of being turned away from fancy places simply because he was an elf…
“So, after he made a fortune playing the Market, he opened this place. No one gets in unless you’re an elf, or you’re accompanied by one.”
“I dunno…” said Kale.
“Give it a try!” I said with a playful smile. “They have live entertainment, and nachos to die for. And best of all, Seamus isn't here.”
Kale shrugged, and followed me as the doorman let us in.
"Don't worry its all right, they have entertainment and food to die for"
She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the building with her, the whole place was packed with elves also a few other spieces of the emerged. We took a seat down at the bar and ordered some drinks.
"I really needed this break" she whispered
"Yeh...me to. This case really has me stumped"
Hafiz Abdullah
[[And I just feel that I can be anything]]
Hafiz took a while to start the car up – fumbling with the keys in his pocket – as the event of last night began to flood into his memory.
At first, he tried to deny it, telling himself that it was something that he ate that had made him felt funny in the evening. And the transformation? It must have been one of those surreal dreams; one where if you dream that you’re being shot, then you’ll feel as if you were shot when you woke up.
But no matter how hard he denies it, the truth was obvious. He was a were tiger.
Upon waking up at dawn, he noticed that his room was in an utter mess. His sheets were torn up, the curtains were ripped up, and there were trails of blood on the floor (for one moment, he expected to find a dead animal lying around, but to his relief, he later found a half-chewed meat lying beside the trail, and he knew that it was the meat from the storage downstairs). He also found out that there were a lot of orange fur shed all over his room. His mind began to recall that strange dream that he had last night, on how he was transforming into a tiger…
He looked around the room again, and it then hit him like a blast of cold water. He looked down at himself; fortunately, he was now still in his human form. With a half asleep, and half confused mind, he groggily made his way towards the bathroom.
He spent a long time after the Subuh prayer just lying on the prayer mat, wondering what he did to deserve such fate.
Later, he went and cleaned up the room.
In his somewhat tired and delirious state, Hafiz had almost run into a vehicle or two. Oblivious to the shouting of the drivers, he drove, taking the roads that he remembered passing when he was taken away to the station – and with his newly found sensitive sense of smell, he managed to pick up the scent of the station, and not long after that, he finally arrived at the station.
Entering the station, he was aware that eyes were looking at him – curious eyes of those from the one that he assumed were were creatures, for he could recognize them by their scent – but he continued to walk, trusting his sense of smell until he finally caught up with the officer that had interrogated him earlier.
“Ma’am…” he said, but the werewolf woman made a signal for him to be quiet. She then took a quick sniff at him, and she frowned with distaste.
“Look, can I meet Kara? Um… the were tiger kid. It’s kind of… urgent.”
She went towards her table, where she then wrote something on a piece of notepad. “Great… more paperwork…”She sighed, as he made a ‘follow-me’ gesture towards Hafiz.
*****
“Hafiz!” Kara said excitedly, sitting up on her bed. Hafiz noticed that she was emitting some sort of sweet and enticing scent, but he just shrugged it off.
He leaned in close towards the bars; the transformation last night proves to be tiring for him. Kara reaches her hands out of the bar. “Hafiz, they’re trying to eat me…” Hafiz raised an eyebrow and looked at the werewolf officer, who gave him a small grin.
“Eh… I’m sure they were just joking.”
She pursed her lips, watching Hafiz running his finger through the bars. “Are you okay? Did you tear up your house last night?”
Hafiz gave her the ‘how’d you know look’, before he turned around and leaned his back on the bars. “Yeah…”
“I’m sorry… but it was cool, wasn’t it?”
Hafiz looked behind, and saw that Kara was smiling. It made him feel less stressed about last night. “I dunno…it feels kind of weird.”
“Oh, that’s okay,” she assured him. “Just wait ‘till you change into your half form. Then you don’t have the instincts.”
“So, Kara,” he tried to change the subject. “How long before they let you out?”
Her smile faded, as she sat down on the floor. “They said that if I’m found guilty, then it will be a long time…”
Hafiz turned around, looking down at her. “I believe that you didn’t kill that guy.”
Kara’s eyes brightened, and she gave a big smile. Before he knew it, she stood up, reaching her hands out and pulled Hafiz inward so that they were now in a hug.
Hafiz felt more ill than ease.
I just want to say, that because I just started school again and am in my final exams, I won't be able to continue this RPG. If you want, you can either retcon my character and delete him, or someone else can take over control of him.
~*~*~*~*~ Donuts! ~*~*~*~*~
It took Hafiz a hour to come back, but when he did he carried along a paper bag, who had a sweet and intriguing scent that I could smell all the way across the room. “Alright let me in.” He nodded to the Werewolf girl, who opened the cell, Hafiz walking in and sitting down on the cot. “I feel like every muscle in my body is tense.” He stretched, and then opened one eye, glancing over at me.
I stood across the room, watching him intensely, my stomach already rumbling with the thought of food. “Oh, yeah here.” He said, almost as if he had forgotten about the food, opening up the white paper bag and retrieving a round object with powder all over it. “This is a jelly filled, it has jelly in the center so try not to get it all over you.” He explained, and then looked at the bed he was sitting on.
I took it as him saying it was okay that I could sit down, not waiting for any more explanation I ran over and sat down next to him, taking the round piece of food from his hands and bit down. Instantly suger filled my mouth, as well as something soft, and a bit of a sweet liquid. I glanced up at Hafiz, my eyes lighting up in enjoyment and quickly took another bite and another, pressing the piece of food against my mouth as I tried to stuff it in as quickly as possible. “Muther!” I announced, half chewing and trying to say ‘another’. Holding out my waiting hands.
Hafiz laughed and put the bag aside. “You have sugar and jelly all over your face.” He laughed, lifting my head up with his finger and then leaning in, taking broad licks across my cheeks. Part of me was a bit shocked at this, but my other side, my were tiger side, was telling me it was natural, so I just grinned in blushed.
When Hafiz was finished he blinked a few times and then moved away, walking up and pacing back and forth in the cell. “Hafiz? Are you okay?” I asked, quickly opening the bag and grasping another of the tasty foods, stuffing it into my mouth in several quick bites.
“No.. no not okay.” He shook his head, his pacing picking up. I quickly finished the food and scrunched up the empty bag, getting up and following Hafiz around the room. “That was… not normal.” He paused.
I almost bumped into him as he stopped, coming just inches away from running into his back. “It was normal, it is what Were Tigers do, you are a Were Tiger so it is what you do.” I explained with a shrug, not knowing really any other way to explain the other side that now resided in us.
He placed a finger against his mouth. “Maybe…” I was a bit worried about what to tell him, if he got any more worried it could trigger a transformation. “So it’s normal for someone who had just turned into a were tiger to lick someone’s else’s face, with the said someone also a were tiger?” He asked, his voice gaining more and more worry with every word.
I nodded softly, my head spinning from trying to understand what he was saying. “Think of yourself as part tiger now! This is how Tigers clean themselves right?” I asked, Hafiz sighed, shaking his head and continued to pace.
[[This time…]]
Alright, this has got to stop.
Hafiz stopped pacing and sat down on the bed. Kara, who had got up when Hafiz started to pace began to sit down as well, leaning her head into his shoulder. When Hafiz did not respond, Kara does what she think might have comforted him – she hugged him.
“It’s okay,” she said reassuringly. “It’s okay…”
Hafiz’s nose twitched, as he realized that the sweet scent was getting even more stronger and enticing. He lowered his head and sniffed hard at Kara, trying to find the source of the scent.
“Are you wearing some sort of perfume or something?” he inquired.
“No…” she stifled a cry of shock as Hafiz’s head slid down, going all the way until his nose was around her crotch. Kara shuddered, releasing more of the scent, as her transformation slowly starts to take place…
By the time Hafiz had regained his composure, he quickly got himself away from Kara, watching her transformation with both fear and awe.
And then he felt it. It started with the stretching of his muscles – it felt as if they were being stretched out by someone else. Every single muscle in his body; it hurts whenever he tried to move. He felt his fingers reshaping into paws, he felt his face growing into a snout, and he felt something snaking out from the area below his waist – and he knew it was a tail.
The fur came in between the stretching. True, it felt as if he was covered in a layer of blanket – no, it feels more like a rug.
He let out a roar, and the transformation was complete.
~*~*~*~*~ Hafiz? ~*~*~*~*~
Hafiz stepped forward, asking if I was wearing a perfume, I was taken a bit back in mild shock as he stood over me. “No.” I whispered back, In return Hafiz bent down, going to his knees and placing his nose right in front of where I pee, drawing in a deep breath through his nose. The feel of him being so close, so close to there. It made my heart beat even faster, down there, where he was smelling, I could feel it get warm, even damp as I felt as if my body were about to explode. I wanted him to stay there forever, his warm breath lightly pushing the overalls against there. I let out a shudder, opening my eyes and finding that I had already transformed, my tail squirming to get free.
My head was still in the clouds as I spotted Hafiz, in the throws of his own transformation, under his shirt I could spot his rippling muscles and fur, his face pushing out and teeth sharpening. “Hafiz?” I whispered, moisture trickling down my thighs as Hafiz turned to look at me with his tiger like eyes.
Some small part of me was scared as he walked over, that part seemed to almost instantly fade away as he stroked the fur on my cheek with his paw like hand. As he leaned in, sniffing the fur on my head, a part of me knew this wasn’t Hafiz, yet a larger part didn’t care. He cupped my cheek again, leaning my head up as a deep purr filled the room, loud enough that I couldn’t tell who it came from. He rumble became louder and louder as I stood on my tip toes, leaning up as Hafiz leaned in, our muzzles touching.
Our mouths began to move in unison, Hafiz’s claws going down my back, ripping away at the prison jumpsuit, freeing my tail and fur. I responded by extending my claws, making short work of his shirt as my jumpsuit fell to my feet. With each stroke of the claw though the kiss became faster, soon my flat tongue was extended, lapping at one of his sharp teeth. His in turn flicked into my mouth as he leaned forward sending us tumbling onto the bed.
With no jumpsuit to stop him, Hafiz’s paws began to travel over my body, cupping my small furry breasts, running his hands down my hips, and then as he looked into my eyes, cupped my furry crotch. My eyes instantly went wide with pleasure, a deep growl coming from my throat as I buckled my hips against his paw and fingers, one of which began to slip in and out. My eyes rolled back in pleasure, my body sinking into bliss when all of the sudden Hafiz roared in pain.
I jerked my eyes open to see the Werewolf girl standing over Hafiz with a needle, she quickly pulled it out as I began to growl at her. Dropping the first onto the floor she pulled a second out and jabbed it into my arm, injecting a silver fluid in. Suddenly my head cleared of the fog and my face began to turn several colors of red under the fur. I glanced down at Hafiz’s hands finding them away from the area and instead holding himself up near my own arms.
“That should settle you two.” The Werewolf girl mumbled, Hafiz rolling off of me and gasping for breath. “I’ll give you two a moment and then I will explain what I just injected into you.” She left the room, shutting the bars behind her.
I glanced over to Hafiz, a thick liquid coating his fingers, the same liquid that was spread all over my crotch and thigh fur. A long shutter ran through Hafiz’s body, and at that moment I had no idea what he would do, would he freak when he remembered? Would he distance himself even more from me? All I could do was lean in and lick his cheek in comfort, and that is what I did
