The Approval Tower


Welcome to the Approval Tower: your first step in starting out in ASB! Please read the following rules carefully and don't be afraid to ask a Moderator if you are confused.


In this tower you can now catch any Generation 4 Pokemon. New things to note:

-Burmy, Kriketot and Combee do NOT require battle EXP to evolve. This is due to a limited movepool. They join Magikarp, Beldum, Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple and their first evolutions.

-If you own a Sneasel, Misdreavus, Kirlia (or any previous gen Pokemon that has a new movepool) and it has battle EXP it can now evolve into its D/P form.




1. You may start out with ONLY 4 Pokemon (Lowest level only. Charmander, Hoothoot, Spheal, Skorupi etc)

1a. If you choose to have a team of non-evolving Pokemon, 2 of the 4 starting Pokemon has to have the ability to evolve (Ex: Aipom, Tauros, Cubone, Staryu)

1b. Legendary Pokemon, Missingno and variant glitches are banned.

2. The evolution system is simple: 3 Points for a first evolution and 4 Points for a second evolution (evolutions will be posted here and links are mandatory)

2a. The Pokemon in question that evolves will have to have participated in at least one complete battle (or in a DQ or forfeit, more than half the battle)

3. In the case of Wurmple, Caterpie and Weedle, evolving once will require 1 Point and the second evolution will require 3 Points. For those 3, their first evolutions, Beldum, Burmy, Combee, Kriketot and Magikarp (who will need 3 Points to evolve), battle experience isn't required

3a. In the case of Nincada's double evolution. If you want both evolutions you must pay for both and have two different examples of experience.

4. Catching Pokemon will only require 2 Points

5. If a forefeiting has been done on purpose and said battle is used for a battle experience/point gain link, it will be deemed null

6. You must always use this format when evolving or catching a Pokemon. No exceptions.

7. When you decide to evolve a Pokemon, links from the Bank and an experience battle need to be provided. For captures, a link to the Bank will do.

8. When you decide to evolve a Pokemon, that Pokemon cannot be participating in any other battles at the moment (ex: If I wanted to evolve my Charmander into a Charmeleon but he's involved in two battles at the moment, I cannot evolve him until he's done with both matches)

9. If you want to rename your Pokemon, you don't need to post here.

Well, if your team's approved (which is a high possibility once some of the Moderaters get online today), then you can challenge people according to the Rules in the ASB Rules (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12264) page and start to gain points and more Pokémon for your team.

Don't worry, you'll get used to it eventually.

thx, also how do i gain new pokemon? i think i understand the eggs, but i dont get evolution or where to buy pokemon, plz fully explain

The first page of the Rules tower should help but basicly.

You catch new pokémon by paying 2 points, you get points by fighting. It doesn't matter if you win or lose.
To evolve pokémon they need experience (been in a fight) and they may not be in a fight currently. To evolve them to their second stage, you need to pay 3 points. To evolve them to their third stage, you'll need to pay 4 points. Also worth of note is that the pokémon need experience in all their forms.

You buy and evolve the pokémon here.
Always include a bank post where it says you are paying the price. If you want to evolve them, also include a link to the battle they were in.
