I'm just curious, do the new evolution stones (Light/Shiny, Dark/Dusk, and Awakening/Dawn) appear in the Underground at all? I'm wondering so hopefully I don't have to do something near-impossible to get them.

I would certainly like to have enough to get at least one each of the Pokémon they evolve...

They're not found in the Underground, but they can be found with pickup. Rarely, of course, but at least there's a chance. =/

^ The full pickup chart, after Lv 71 all three become more common.

So are there unlimited supplies of the other stones?

Yeah, you can dig up as many of the other stones as you want in the Underground. It's random, of course, so you might have to work at it a bit to get what you want, but I've only been using it for a couple days and already I've gotten at least one of every kind of stone except leaf. The Underground is the bomb.

Of course, to level something with Pick Up up that much... That's gonna be a task all on its own...

How many of the new stones are readily available in D/P? If I can get two of each without Pick Up or whatever, I'll be alright. If not... ugh...

There's only one of each new kind of stone that you can get in the game without using pickup at the moment. However, they're buyable in PBR, so in a monthish you'd be able to start getting more.

What? You don't already have a L100 Linoone to import from RSE? :)

Could be a good candidate for a trade request - I'm sure heaps of people have old pickup helpers they don't want.

You can get two of the Dawn and Shiny Stones.

gfaqs:
Mt. Coronet (North). Surf across the southern pool of |

| | A second Dawn Stone can be found near the end of |

On Iron Island, you can find the Shiny Stone in the |

| | You can find another Shiny Stone on the southern end |

Huh, the guide I'm using didn't have those second locations in there. Good to know, then.

Having trouble digging up certain evolution stones, is it dependant on your version?

Playing Diamond I've come across lots of Thunderstones, Fire Stones and a few Sun Stones but no Water Stones, Leaf Stone or Moon Stones.

I seem to be lacking in some fossils too, dug up lots of Skull, Claw and Helix fossils, but only one Root Fossil and no Domes or Ambers.

Same here, I have diamond. I have 12 thunder stones, and have also come across quite a few fire stones and sun stones, but leaf, water and moon stones have been pretty rare, but I have found them.

As for fossils, the only ones I have found are Skull, Helix, Claw, and Amber. The other three I thought were exclusive to pearl.

I play Pearl, and I've found Thunder, Moon, Water, Leaf, Fire, and Sun Stones in fairly equal quantities. Well, Sun and Moon Stones are rarer, it seems, but they both show up as much as the other.

As far as fossils, I've never gotten a Skull or Claw fossil, nor have I gotten Old Amber. However, I did see Old Amber once - the wall collapsed before I could get at it - so that one's not exclusive, at least.

According to a GameFAQs guide (http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/925601/45858), only the Armor and Skull Fossils are version-exclusive. The Skull Fossil is Diamond-only, while you can only find an Armor Fossil in Pearl.

As for the evolution stones, I haven't seen anything about them being version-exclusive or even having different rates of discovery, but I'll keep looking.

The only fossils i've yet to find is the Root Fossil. I've every fossil so far, like 5-6 armor ones(sold 2, has 2 shieldons).

I've only been digging around for two hours and dug up 15 fossils and around 20+ stones, mostly moon, leaf, and water. fire and thunder i find every now and then, so i think their appearance is randomized. This morning i only found spheres....lol?

as for the shiny/dawn/dusk stones, i've only came across one dusk and two of the others. Don't remember where tho, too busy hatching/EV taining at the time. SRY

Only the Shield/Skull Fossils are version exclusive. And stones aren't either.

I've got Pearl and I've found every fossil except for the Dome fossil (figures, I don't find my favorite one).

And for evolution stones... I've found every type.

BTW, on the original topic... I found a second Dusk Stone on Route 224, the route where the Shaymin event takes place once you unlock it (to get there, you have to get the National Dex then go to the doorway that was blocked off by a guy in Victory Road). Surf down from the beach on that route.
