Well I went last night and it was brilliant!
Firstly though I have to talk about Wembley stadium as its the first time Ive been there since it re opened. WOW! The feeling when we walked in was amazing. As a football fan I have been to a lot of football grounds, but this beat all of them hands down.
We didnt see the first support act, but did watch the rest.
Dirty Pretty Things : Have only heard one of their songs (bang bang) and was a bit dissapointed by the rest of their set. Also they were still having problems with the sound at this point, and it didnt sound too great. But overall, it was ok and was definately worth going to.
The Streets: I dont mind them, but my boyfriend loves them. But they are brilliant live! They really got into it and did everything they could to get the crowd involved. Really enjoyed it!
Zane Low (Radio 1 DJ): He did some sets in between the acts and this was a brilliant idea. Normally when you go to a gig they just play music over the sound system but it was nice to have something a bit more entertaining.
And finally, the whole reason I went...
MUSE!
AMAZING! There was a catwalk type thing that went out from the stage (about 2 foot off the ground) that had stairs up to a platform right in the middle of the pitch. They appeared through the stage floor on this platform! No one had any idea!!
As always Muse gave an amazing show and didnt just 'play'. They had two enormous balloons with people doing acrobats off them for one of their songs. And the light show was amazing.
I have seen Muse twice before, 1st at Westpoint in Exeter and then at the Eden project in Cornwall. This one rated the best by far! Second being Eden project as it was such a small, intimate gig.
So did anyone else go? Im pretty sure that Weasel Overlord would have been there as I know shes also a huge Muse fan!
