Alright, I have some issues with my Vista installation.

Now I got a brand new PC with the following parts
2 Spinpoint 325GB Sata disks
P5W Deluxe motherboard
Intel Duo Core E6600 S775
GeFORCE 8 8800 GTX
2 Kingston 1 gig memory cards

So boot up works, the pc finds the CD and loads it. I get a loading screen for all the components and a loading screen with a nice Microsoft Corp. text under it.

After that, where I believe I'll have to configure everything, I get a screen where green, grey and blue colors mix togheter in a not so artistic fashion.

Any clue on what might be the cause? I'm still searching on the internet but any help is appreciated.

Might be good to know it's the 64bit home premium edition

The drivers for 64-bit versions of Windows are, as a general rule, awful. The drivers for your graphics card are probably still in beta testing.

Is this the first time you've switched the machine on?

Yeah, it's the first time. The system doesn't have an OS or anything else yet. The hardware is just in and now I'm trying to get vista on...

God, I hope the shop has a good return policy. One of the salesmen told me that it would probably be better to get the 64bit version and when I went to pick it up another guy said to get the 32bit version.
