Ok! I'm going to send out my Espeon, Solvee [F]

Well, you talked me into it Chris, but I'm not going to hold back, even in a Gym battle.

This calls for a Pokemon who has had little battle experience, Raven, you're up!

Raven is my female Murkrow.

Chris 2.1
10th July 2007, 02:20 PM
I'll send out Imperial, my [M] Mamoswine.

Knight of Time
10th July 2007, 02:24 PM
This Pokemon ought to help balance things out, I choose Hydronix, my shiny male Blastoise.

I'll get to my moves when we have our ref.

Oh, since this is a gym battle, am I not allowed to ask if we can agree not to use certain moves (in other words, does that only apply to regular battles?)?

Chris 2.1
10th July 2007, 02:31 PM
Nope you can't request banned moves. Nothing is banned here.

Knight of Time
11th July 2007, 09:35 AM
Oh, I see.

Well, I guess it would make more sense to start now, since these days it's getting harder to find a ref for a battle.

Raven, Taunt your opponents to start off, then let's aim a Toxic at Imperial, finish with a Dark Pulse on Solvee. But, if Imperial uses an Ice move on you, use your speed and small size through a Faint Attack to dodge it, and make sure you can target Solvee in the process.

Hydronix, use a Yawn on both your opponents to get them drowsy, then if Imperial hasn't been poisoned, Toxic him, or use that Toxic on Solvee if Imperial has been poisoned. Finish with a devastating Water Pulse from your twin cannons, aimed for Imperial.

Raven: Taunt (both Solvee and Imperial)/Faint Attack (Solvee, incase an Ice attack from Imperial is used) ~ Toxic (Imperial)/Faint Attack (Solvee, incase an Ice attack from Imperial is used) ~ Dark Pulse (Solvee)/Faint Attack (Solvee, incase an Ice attack from Imperial is used)

Hydronix: Yawn (both Solvee and Imperial) ~ Toxic (Imperial, but only if he wasn't poisoned, otherwise, aim for Solvee) ~ Water Pulse (coming from both cannons, and aimed at Imperial)

Chris 2.1
11th July 2007, 11:19 AM
Imperial use a roar to drown out the taunts and the yawns; next use blizzard on Murkrow and end with anticientpower, also at Murkrow.

Solvee use a grass knot on Blastoise. Next use future sight and end with psychic.

Imperial: Roar -- Blizzard [Murkrow] -- Ancientpower [Murkrow]
Solvee: Grass Knot [Blastoise] -- Future Sight -- Psychic [Blastoise]

Can we get a ref please?

I've realised that you guys have been waiting for quite a bit for a ref...
SO...
If no other ref offers by tomorrow and if both of you have no objections..
I'll take up this reffing ^^

BATTLE!
The city of Goldenrod stands eerily empty, most of its citizens having evicted the place upon hearing that a titanic struggle will take place in their midst, leaving only some stray wild Pokemon to roam the deserted streets, and populate their abandoned homes. However, in the bright light of day, the city still stands forth in all its splendour, an empty glory made all the more bitter by the silence that fills the air, broken only by footsteps, as two trainers make their way up to the roof of the departmental store. Having shaken hands as a cursory token of goodwill, they release their Pokemon in four bright flashes of light.

Two larger beasts stand forth, flanked by much smaller companions by their sides. Without a visible signal, the battle begins! In jackdaw style, Raven flutters, making rather obscene sounds and actions, and by her side, the shiny Blastoise opens his large maw until it seems close to danger of dislocation. However, the massive Mamoswine bristles, and his tusked visage is filled with a terrible anger as he roars, the sound reverberating and echoing around the buildings around them. Raven ceases her taunts immediately with a slight shriek, flapping to get further away, whereas even the large Hydronix stops and backs away a few paces, eager to get some distance between himself and Imperial. With narrowed eyes, Solvee waits for the opportune moment, and ceases it, several tendrils wrapping themselves around Hydronix’s body and feet to slam him down heavily, causing several cracks to snake across the floor.
C (E:-5 ; E:-8)
KoT (H:-15, E:-3 ; E:-3)

Raven is already in the midst of preparing a gobful of poison to be spit at the Mamoswine, but is forced to rapidly change tactics when a full force blizzard sweeps in her direction. Slipping through invisibly, she sustains some damage but thanks to her smaller size and decent speed, she avoids the main force successfully, slamming her tiny frame into the Mamoswine’s mass for trivial damage. Nearby, Solvee is ignored by both opponents as she focuses, releasing a blast of psychic energy that goes undetected to hover around the arena, ready for when it should be needed. Hydronix, seeing that his teammate’s original plan did not go through, follows up with plan B, and a thick, viscous gob of pure poison soon makes its way to splatter with a gooey splat onto Imperial’s hide, sizzling as it eats through fur to reach the flesh beneath, seeping in to contaminate his bloodstream.
C(H:-9<faint attack+toxic>, E:-6 ; E:-6)
KoT(H:-6, E:-4 ; H:-6, E:-5)

Eyes glowing with a bizarre light, Solvee puts her considerable psychic powers to full use, twisting up her opponent’s mind, putting him under an intense mental torture, much easier than throwing his large frame around. Her efforts are disrupted when a dark beam of energy strikes her body. Relieved from his mental binds, Hydronix squares up and jets out a large ball of water that moves with increasing alacrity to the Mamoswine, who, braces himself for the impact. The supersonic waves within didn’t seem to affect him though, something he is relieved about, and Raven soon finds herself pelted with all sorts of debris. Imperial rallies bravely on, despite being soaked and poisoned, definitely not even thinking about giving up.

Nice work guys. First Imperial I want you to use a body slam on Blastoise. Next use ancientpower on Murkrow again and finish with a stone edge on Murkrow.

Espeon, trip Blastoise with a grass knot and use two more psychic attacks to meddle with his mind. If you are tormented, then switch your last action for a zap cannon (TM in GSC)

Knight of Time
26th July 2007, 09:06 AM
Raven, in normal battles I'd hate to ask for you to use this technique (normally, I don't use it), but in battles where no moves are banned, like this one, this could seriously turn the tables around if we were to get into a pinch later on. Sing a haunting Perish Song, then use your small size to your advantage to blast the Espeon with a Dark Pulse. Finish by flying just out of Imperial's physical move range, and above Solvee, and drop a Toxic on her.

Hydronix, that last Grass Knot was painful, so use a Blizzard to freeze this one and simultaneously blast Solvee, then do your best to fight the Psychics with your massive size while Yawning again at your two opponents, then blasting Imperial with a Hydro Pump.

Raven: Perish Song ~ Dark Pulse (Solvee) ~ Toxic (Solvee)

Hydronix: Blizzard (to try and freeze the Grass Knot, and to also hit Solvee) ~ Yawn (both Solvee and Imperial) ~ Hydro Pump (Imperial)

oh no, I have now have a reputation for getting confused when reffing~!!! ;-;
...but on the bright side, people now give me clearer orders xD whoot.
>.> ah yes, attempting to be philosophical about we see. *sinks into depression*
...Oh yes, while I wallow in sorrow, I wanted to ask...

I'm not very clear on how Perish Song works...
Does it affect allies and the user himself/herself?
..I would ref it as something like a superpoison, with health sapped from all Pokemon every turn... but yeah ^^U

(should this post be in the attack list thread?)

Chris 2.1
27th July 2007, 11:16 AM
No here is fine.

Perish Song is a song that is sung by the user. It irritates all those around it (ie: all Pokemon on the field) and will cause them to faint in 3 turns (at the end of the third turn)

HP is not affected. Instead the Pokemon will simply collapse at the end of the third turn due to the effects of the perish song. I guess it's similar to a curse.

Only Pokemon that hear the song will fsint at the end of the third turn; if, for example, I sent out a new Pokemon before the song was sung, that Pokemon would not faint since it didn't HEAR the song.

Perish Song: The user sings a haunting song, that if heard by any pokemon, will sap their life from them and cause them to faint a few turns after hearing it. The effects of the song can be forgotten by baton-passing to another pokemon or if a pokemon uses Protect at the time of use. It can also be drowned out by other high pitched noises.

Knight of Time
27th July 2007, 12:21 PM
Wait, what if Perish Song was used in a battle where it was allowed, and it ended the match by KOing the last Pokemon on both sides (no matter how many were out on each side at once, as long as it made them both (or all) faint), how would the winner be determined, by whoever had more health at the end before fainting?

Chris 2.1
27th July 2007, 12:42 PM
Yes, whoever had the most HP before the perish song took effect. In doubles matches or higher, each teams HP is added together to form a total HP count for each side.

I recall this being put to use in the first Tourney when Rapamon2 used it against Charles.

Hyperness is a Good Thing
28th July 2007, 12:06 AM
By the third turn, do you mean by the end of this round, or at the start of the next round? Because I'm not sure if you count the turn where he used the Perish song...

Chris 2.1
28th July 2007, 07:41 AM
It lasts 3 rounds, not 3 actions.

BATTLE!
Solvee takes action first this round, moving a little closer to the Blastoise, green tendrils already out. He's not really looking forward to be slammed again, but, just as he is about to retaliate, he is ruthlessly attacked-by the psychic energy Solvee expanded earlier, now serving her in good stead, messing him up even as he is slammed again onto the roof. As he falls, Imperial rushes in, and leaps a little before throwing his full weight onto the groaning Blastoise, who struggles weakly but ineffectually in an attempt to get up. As she watches all this unfold, Raven fluffs her wings, and, preparing herself, sings a truly haunting melody that brings cold shivers down the spines of all who are listening.
C(E:-8 | E:-6)
KoT(H:-12+<-16>+<-12> | E:-8)

Squashed underneath the very heavy Mamoswine, the Blastoise, who still isn't very happy to be close to him, yawns full into Imperial's face, causing the hairy mammoth to begin blinking very rapidly as he fights off the sudden urge to go to sleep. Solvee, eyes narrowing with distaste, uses her psychic powers to mess up the struggling Hydronix's mind, who is still pinned. She soon has other things to worry about as Raven blasts a beam of pulsing energy at her, making her lose concentration and breaking off the psychic assault halfway. Resisting the very strong temptation to just close his eyes and sleep, Imperial, still sitting on the Blastoise, uses his own lesser psychic powers to throw rocks at Raven, who squawks, not appreciating being bombarded.
C(H:-12, E:-4 | E:-6)
Kot(H:-6, E:-4 | H:-13, E:-5)

Imperial gives in to the irresistable call within him and drowses off, STILL on Hydronix, who, grunting with the effort, aims his double guns at him, and blasts him off him, freeing himself, finally. Rolling over, he gets back onto his two feet, only to fall to his knees, clawing wildly at his head as he is tormented mentally by the Espeon. Hopping a little nearer to Solvee, Raven spits a large gob of poison onto her unprotected side, grinning a little as Solvee cries out in agony as the poison burns through her fur, into her flesh, entering her bloodstream. Even in his sleep, Imperial shifts uneasily as the poison in his veins continues to trouble him.

Hydronix, looks like this may be your last round, but let's make sure you can try and survive.

Rest until you're successful in beginning to regain some health, then if you get asleep successfully, Sleep Talk for your remaining actions.

Raven, make sure Hydronix can successfully get to sleep and regain his health from that hard assault, if you see Solvee trying to use Grass Rope on Hydronix, use a Steel Wing to cut through it like a real rope, or if she uses Psychic on him, interrupt her with an Ambush* to knock off her concentration. Otherwise, use a Confuse Ray, then a Dark Pulse, and finally a Night Shade on Solvee.

Hydronix: Rest ~ Sleep Talk (if he successfully goes to sleep)/Rest (if he doesn't successfully go to sleep, but he still has some health remaining) ~ Sleep Talk (if he successfully goes to sleep)/Rest (if he doesn't successfully go to sleep, but he still has some health remaining)

Raven: Confuse Ray (Solvee)/Ambush* (if Solvee uses Psychic on Hydronix)/Steel Wing (if Solvee uses Grass Rope on Hydronix; use to cut through the Grass Rope) ~ Dark Pulse/Ambush* (if Solvee uses Psychic on Hydronix)/Steel Wing (if Solvee uses Grass Rope on Hydronix; use to cut through the Grass Rope) ~ Night Shade/Ambush* (if Solvee uses Psychic on Hydronix)/Steel Wing (if Solvee uses Grass Rope on Hydronix; use to cut through the Grass Rope)

*- this is really Sucker Punch, but since Flying types don't have fists, meh, I couldn't resist calling it Ambush, which makes more sense IMO.

Imperial I want you to use roar loudly to keep Blastoise from going to sleep. Then use blizzard x2 on Murkrow. Use roar again if necessary.

Solvee dig right infront of Hydronix and use zap cannon twice.

Imperial: Roar -- Blizzard/Roar x2 (if Blastoise tries going to sleep again)
Solvee: Dig (so that she emerges just in front of Blastoise) -- Zap Cannon x2

In the alleyways wild Pokémon lurk (such as Rattata, Raticate, Glameow, Meowth, Murkrow, and other alleyway-esque 'mon) and may attack; there may also be thugs and bikers in the city who fancy joining in the match.

There is a casino in the north, which is locked but can easily be broken into. Here there are large fountains and water features, gigantic staircases and long tables to brawl along. Here, all battlers can use pay day.

If we arrive in the Pokémon center, each battler heals by 5%HP and 5%Energy each round, but we can only stay there for up to 5 rounds.

These places are acessed by simply ordering the command "go to ___", flying, teleporting or, in some cases, digging. We begin the match on the roof of the department store.

Ready! FIGHT!

The Ref’s switch out, one apparently disappeared over the edge of the building for some reason, while the other glides in with the aide of a parachute. Tumbling along the roof the new Ref waves the match on, before falling backwards in pain.

Raven takes to the skies, eyeing the Espeon warily. The Eon, however, seems to be pawing the ground underneath, searching for a weak-spot. Taking his chance, Raven zooms in making eye contact with the Psychic Type, and unleashing a beam of randomly assorted wavelengths, that hits her target (-4). Startled by the sudden confused state she finds herself in, Solvee starts prying off tile and asbestos as she creates a tunnel through part of the roof itself (-5, -4 (Debris)).

Falling backwards, Hydronix falls onto his shell, before closing his eyes, drifting off to sleep. Imperial is asleep as well, the poison coursing through his veins making him uneasy and feverish. One can only imagine the dreams he’s having (+5, +8/+5).

Raven scans for her opponent. Solvee, in her confusion seems to be digging randomly, causing tiles and cracks to uplift. She continues on before slamming into one of the Department Store’s roof-top air conditioners (-6, -7 (Confusion)). She appears dizzy as a panel falls off of the AC and she exits. Raven flies in, unleashing a beam of blackness crackling with raw energy on a strafing run (-7/-9).

Despite the duel continuing on the roof, Hydronix and Imperial are still sleeping (+5, +8/+5). While Imperial is starting to shift in his sleep, he might not stay asleep for much longer.

The current match between Raven and Solvee is getting a bit intense, as the confusion in the Eon has caused her a little bit of trouble and the crow’s mocking cackles aren’t helping matters. Shaking her head with determination, Solvee starts charging up energy to unleash at the now sleeping Blastoise (-13). Raven, seeing an open unleashes a wave of eerie ghostly matter that makes contact with Solvee, draining the life out of the Psychic (-6/-8). The pain causes Solvee to discharge the beam. Randomly the bolt of lightning dances around the arena ripping up tile and melting concrete, missing Hydronix, but slamming instead into Raven (-18 (Paralyzed)). Imperial, finally disturbed from his slumber, lets out a massive yawn before standing back up, eyeing his prey, the Mastodon lets out with a yowl, summoning a blast of wintery coldness (-10). Drowsy, sleep is still in his eyes and his attack doesn’t just pin-point Raven, but catches Solvee in the blast as well (-17 (Frozen)/-13). Still content, the Blastoise continues to sleep through the fight, although not as tired as before (+5, +8).

Feeling the effects of the toxins attacking their bodies, (-5 (Toxin)/-4 (Toxin)).

With the arrival of the Sub-Ref, the match can continue!

Thanks for the reffing MM: I know Zap Cannon is percieved as innacurate but a 'random' trajectory and 'impossible to control' is far too over-the-top. It has a 50% accuracy which is the same as dynamicpunch, a move whose abysmal accuracy is not usually taken into account in ASB.

The point is it still has 50% accuracy so there should be much less doubt that its going to spiral away into nothingness. Moves like Blizzard, Fire Blast and Thunder have a 75% accuracy but that is never taken into consideration. Just thought I'd let you know, since I'd never willingly order an attack if it were 'impossible to control'.

I'll post my attacks later on today.

Mew Master
3rd August 2007, 05:35 AM
.... CRUD... it deleaded my post....

My reasoning for this is because of the horrible accuracy for such a powerful move. I know hardly any REF in ASB takes the Game Accuracy into account, but I do since the moves are highly powerful otherwise, and really broken. Balance between power and accuracy is kinda important to me for some blasted reason.

Also, I view it as being nearly impossible to control after the discharge. The reason Raven was hit instead was because the Night Shade hit Solvee, and the pain affected her aim, catching Raven in the blast instead of Hydronix. Least I didn't say the attack missed everyone, which would kinda be impossible, even with the low accuracy.

Yeah, I know, I'm a fan of theatrics. But that's half the fun 'bout ASB IMO anyway... ¬,¬

Don't forget about Perish Song either, you should edit it in (in the last round HIAGT reffed, there were two rounds left before it would take effect (the location of the Pokemon doesn't matter when it does happen, here it's pretty much unavoidable), Mew Master, so I guess the next round is going to be the last one for all four Pokemon, just as I hoped it would (kinda like getting an extra chance at victory when hope begins to dwindle).

Thanks for reffing that round.

Thanks for justifying it MM: I might add Zap Cannon is no stronger than Thunder, and both are weaker than Volt Tackle. Just something I didn't actually realize myself (I assumed ZC was stronger than Thunder)

Anyway moves time. Solvee use future sight, then dream eater x2 on Blastoise.

Imperial cast a stealth rock across the streets. Then use avalanche x2 on Murkrow.

Raven, immediately Mimic Stealth Rock when Imperial uses it, then use Stealth Rock so that it will (hopefully) also affect the two Pokemon sent out on the opposing side. Finish by powering up the sun literally with a Sunny Day if you have any strength left.

Hydronix, since you're asleep, this round is going to be all about talking in your sleep, so I want you to do just that with three Sleep Talks, but if you ever wake up before the Perish Song fully takes effect, I want you to get in front of Raven to block the Avalanches with your body.

Raven: Mimic (Imperial's Stealth Rock) ~ Stealth Rock ~ Sunny Day (if Raven has enough strength left to use it)

Hydronix: Sleep Talk/get in front of Raven to block the Avalanches (if woken up) ~ Sleep Talk/get in front of Raven to block the Avalanches (if woken up) ~ Sleep Talk/get in front of Raven to block the Avalanches (if woken up)

The Arena
Goldenrod City

A large, spacious city, Goldenrod has lost the majority of its population due to the introduction of cooler, bigger cities like Lilycove and Sootopolis. There are many places to explore; the department store, which has medicine (restoring 5%) and various status ailments (although these can only be used once by each battler). The rooftop of the Department Store is also handy for aerial battles.

Aside from that, there is an aquarium with many various sized pools, as well as wide spaces for non-water types such as dim corridors and staircases; The monorail tracks are high up from the battle and are long and thin; perfect for an all-out-duel, although electric attacks may attract the Magnet Train, which will slam into the battlers and deal 10% damage to each.

Ready! FIGHT!

Well, with an exciting round over, this one proves to be detrimental to both sides. With a perish song inbound at the end of the round, Knight of time seems to be stalling, and Chris might be laying down some ground-work for a victory. Let’s see how it ends…

Imperial, with a massive roar and stomp causes boulders to scatter around through the street below, making it inaccessible to the people below (-4). While Imperial was accomplishing this, Raven was watching like the crow she is, imprinting the move into her mind for future use (-7). Solvee, as all that was going on, sent energy into the time stream, preparing for her attack to hit Hydronix from out of nowhere (-8). And as previously, Hydronix continued to snore (+5, +8). Then the Water Pokémon stood up and letting out a snoring roar, unsheathed his cannons and blasted out twin jets of powerful water blasts (-14). The streams of water miss everyone, but soak the rooftop under two feet of water before falling back onto the roof, sleeping contently.

With an extension of her energy, Solvee extends aetheral tendrils towards the sleeping Turtle Pokémon, they connect and start to drain the Water Type (-7, +5/-10). Hydronix, already restless from the previous round, is finally woken up, drowsy and still a whee bit tired. With a squawk, Raven tries to unleash the power of the boulders similar to Imperial, however, paralysis kicks in, causing her muscles to lock up and her attack ends with her beak snapped shut. Imperial, seeing this, cuts loose with a stomp, sending ice, snow, and boulders washing over the arena (-6) They swarm towards Raven, and Hydronix gets caught in the attack as well as he tries to make his way towards her (-9/-4).

Caught in a mass of snow, Raven is shocked as the cold penetrates her thin feather lining. Imperial unleashes another avalanche unto the crow-esque bird, but Hydronix gets in the way, blocking the brunt of the attack (-6/-4). Slovee can’t attack Hydronix directly, but indirectly will work close enough. A blast of time from the web of clockwork slams into the Blastoise, rocking his world (-9).

The poison coursing through Solvee and Imperial take their toll on them (-6 (Toxin)/-5 (Toxin)). However, before the round comes to an end, everyone can hear an eerie song permeate the air, the Ref and Trainers hold their ears as they helplessly watch their Pokémon shout out before dropping to the roof out cold.

Recalled, the Trainers prepare to send out the next set of Pokémon for this exciting Gym Match!

Okay Venus, King Boo, we've got formidable opponents, but we can't give up now, even if things look grim later.

Venus, Safeguard yourself from anything that may try to immediately change your status, then give Alli a powerful Earthquake, finish with a Blizzard, aimed for both opponents.

King Boo, this battle may be one of your hardest, but you have some tricks up your "sleeve" if we can execute them in the next round. Loudly Taunt both of your opponents before they can do anything, then fire a Dark Pulse at Terrapupa, finish with a Double Team, but if it's raining, change your last action to a Giga Drain on Terrapupa.

Venus: Safeguard ~ Earthquake (Alli) ~ Blizzard (both Terrapupa and Alli)

===Let's continue===

Well now, I'm yer new new ref, Dl! And another Gym Match for me, give it up! Give it up for the battlers who endure during hard times!!

Anyway n_n We got ourselves a fresh set of battlers. As Stealth Rock dances down blow on the street, we have up here, a Blissey and Gastly against a Skuntank and a Claydol.

Soon as I blew the whistle for this round to start, King Boo faded out of sight immediately. His partner held her little harms up pulling upon wisps of air, in order to Safeguard herself from harm. Terrapupa reappeared with three members of its family, and they all shot their arms around in glee, as Alli let off a most unnerving Screech. King reappeared, but his insidious Taunting was utterly drowned out by Alli.

(A: -4E T: -4E --///-- K.B: -4E V: -4E)

With everyone still on a most even playing field, King Boo tries to focus his dark energies into a shadowy bolt to Terra...wait...crap, which one. Taking a chance, Gastly shoots for the one to the right. His blast shoots through the air, causing that clone to ripple away. As the blast destroyed that clone, the real Terra began to focus a immense sphere of power. It was fired , and rammed into the ghost, causing King to falter in his floating ability.

Ali was ready to follow suit with a Dark Pulse of her own, but the ground began to rumble and shake. Shingles flew left and right as Venus caused to ground to rumble with her fat eggazz sat down on the roof, causing an Earthquake. The energy was squandered, being blasted past both Terra and Gastly.

(A: -6E/-10H T: -7E (2 clones left) --///-- K.B: -6E/-11H V: -9E)

Upset she was hit by that Earthquake, Alli hopped to her feet, and began charging up a second beam. King, in fear of what could occur, quickly began to create a smoky aura about himself., When the aura subsided-there were now four Gastly's. Terra didn't seem to care, and still shot his Shadowball at the Gastly in the middle. Alli shot for one to the left. Both targets were hit, and fizzled out of sight. Only when they reappeared, there was only one Gastly remaining. Alli's had scored a direct hit!

As the ghost flew backwards, he would luckily bypass the air where a funneling Blizzard was formulated-and henceforth smashed into Terra and Alli. The clones all faded for Terra, as the damage he incurred was greater than Alli. Venus grinned, happy to help out her partner-albiet late.

Terra use ice beam, stone edge and finally psychic on Gastly. If Gastly protects against any of those attacks, use them on Blissey instead. If both Pokemon protect on the same turn, then just relax.

Venus, let's get Alli good this round, Earthquake her, then give her paralysis with a Thunder Wave as she comes close to you. Finish by freezing her mouth off literally, by aiming an Ice Beam at it before it opens up.

King Boo, let's get back into this, fight off Terrapupa's Ice Beam with a strong Night Shade, then give the Claydol a powerful, double Giga Drain so you can keep your health up.

Venus: Earthquake (Alli) ~ Thunder Wave (Alli) ~ Ice Beam (Alli, before she is about to open her mouth, in hopes it will be hard or impossible to open)

===Let's continue===

This match continues to be a good one. With an audible cry that sounds like the first chime for a ice cream truck jingle, Venus jumps, and lands on her nice round bottom, sending a shockwave through the area. The force of her landing was blunted however, as a Dark Pulsating beam slammed into her rotund form, causing her to spin to her side as she wobbled helplessly for a moment.

Alli yelped back in pain as the shockwave threw her forcefully to the ground. Their compatriots-unphazed by the ground quaking, had a small battle all their own. Terra and King were locked in a beam battle, Ice Beam against the coming Night. Terra's beam held the course, pushing Gastly and his beam of despair backwards until Gastly's Night Shade was eliminated. This tactic did have a drawback to Terra, he used alot more energy in staving off Gastly's Night Shade.

(A: -6E/-11H T: -10E --///-- K.B: -8E/-10H V: -9E/-5H)

Blasted egg! She wouldn't have such a thing occur again. Lunging at the first second she could, Alli's jaws were bared as she ran down Venus, smashing her pretty pink face in with a singular poisonous jab. Humpt--err Venus shook her hands in displeasure-retroactively releasing a small Wave of lightning energy that cracked around Alli's mouth and legs. She hissed-backing away immediately.

Terra, on the other hand, had begun floating around rapidly. A green aura was following him, and the more it began to glow, the more Terra seemed displeased by its appearance. Brown sheen overtook Terra-to dim the grassy hue he was growing, and King Boo had a hefty Stone Edge slam into him. The damage though, seemed lessened...somehow.

(A: -5E (Par) T: -8E/-9H --///-- K.B: -7E/(+5H)-11H V: -3E/-8H)

Lucky for Venus, her Safeguard was up. Wobbling to her feet, she focused all the anger she had for that little skunk into a cold, unfeeling mass of energy that shot forward at the crippled Alli. Movement was impossible at this juncture for Alli, and she could only close her eyes as the beam struck the left side of her face mostly. She yelped audibly as the beam obscured her sight....

As the beam subsided, a crystalline-neckmuzzle could be seen on Alli, holding her lower jaw...open? Yes open. Icy teeth? Fabulous! (if anyone gets that, they get a cookie)

King boo however, was in a sore spot. His coozo aura around Terra was fading, and he was reaping the results, until a harmful force rang throughout his body, shattering his concentration and making him fade into nothingness.

He'd reform, yes, but he was sore from the Psychic that ran him through.

King Boo, let's soften up both opponents here, Double Team first, then use a Dark Pulse on Terrapupa, finish by stealing more HP from the Claydol with another strong Giga Drain.

Venus, relax for your first action, then use another Blizzard on both Alli and Terrapupa, especially the Skuntank, if you can freeze her more. Finish with a Grass Knot to slam Terrapupa's heavy form onto Alli.

===Let's continue===

The dueling parties squared off once again. King Boo opened by calling upon his superior sped to raise his haunting prowess, illusions created in the form of ...Alli? As the King finished wasting his energy in order to create illusions to mystify the opponents, he would be the one left confused. Alli's prowess suddenly heightened, that and her clones that she wasted virtually no energy on.

Terra meanwhile, was watching Venus just sit back and relax. From atop the building, Venus suddenly became her namesake, a bright object in the sky, than came crashing down on a sharp set of floating rocks on the street! Venus disapproved, wincing as she looked up at the combatants above her now. Terra looked down from above, smirking..(if Claydol's can smirk)

(A: -4E (4 clones) T: -7E --///-- K.B: -5E V: -9H/+5E (6 from Psychic))

That Alli was pissing him off. But he had bigger things to fry. Conjuring up a blast of dark energy, the Pulsating beam found Terra's left side, pushing it farther off the roof. Terra dipped momentarily, before turning around and conjuring up a beam of sizeable power. The beam wasn't fired however, not until Alli lunged over the edge of the roof!

Alli's descent past the side of the building had a target, as Venus watched with a slight trepidation. Hesitation forgotten, her hands went up in a rush to throw a torrential Blizzard at the dual forces aiming for her. It succeeded, striking Alli against the building, and Terra was forced to shoot his beam through the howling winds, despite the damage he was incurring. Venus's Blizzard was truncated by the Ice Beam's direct hit, which was soon followed by Alli's landing atop of her-the Facade of being deflected by the Blizzard completed.

(A: -7E/-8H T: -7E/-21H (Blizzard=12 9=Pulse) --///-- K.B: -6E V: 9E/-15H)

With Alli and Venus on the street, Terra followed down, with King Boo shooting after. His mind focused, King caused an aura of green to coat Terra again. Knowing the feeling of his energy being drained, Terra spun in irritation to this. But the attack completed, Terra watching as Gastly sped down to join his partner. His partner, whom was being encroached on by Alli! Venus, seeing Terra moving in closer released her attack...a green series of lights shooting into the ground.

Terra's beam was fired, Alli sidestepping in order to avoid being struck yet again. She grunted, feeling the effects of Paralysis kicking in though. However, the green lights that had burrowed into the ground all shot out of the ground as large thorny vines that wrapped around Terra. Unable to resist their strength, Terra was forcibly pulled down...right atop of Alli. They both cried out in pain, as they lied there, stinging from the impact.

Venus, not to be forgotten, was shaking her hands, as they were feeling very cold from the Ice Beams continually hitting her.

The only good thing, Alli's jaw was shattered free of the ice. Few teeth too...Clones gone though.

DL can you clarify a few things?
-Did Alii actually leap off the department store to hit Venus?
-How much did Facade do?

Just to clarify, since I got a bit confused ^^ Also it's difficult to decipher the bits under each paragraph that explain the HP/En losses. Could you maybe stop abbreviating and display it more comprehensively:

ie Blissey: -20% (8% ice beam, 5% Quick Attack, 7% Body Slam)

Or something like that. It's just I'm finding it hard to read.

Terra, Alii, we need to be careful. Kyle's caught up to us but we can still win.

Terra use psychic on Gastly, then stone edge and another psychic. Teleport far away from any ghost or grass attacks.

Alii strike Gastly with a shadow ball, then use facade on Blissey and end with another shadow ball on Gastly. If either foes move to another part of the city, use pursuit.

Venus, King Boo, this is our chance to bring Terrapupa down, and to possibly get Alli close to that point, too.

Venus, immediately move in front of King Boo so that you can block the Shadow Balls with your body, then Counter Alli's Facade, throwing her at Terrapupa if you can, finally, make sure you're still blocking the skunk from hitting King Boo with her second Shadow Ball, as you give her and Terrapupa another, albeit slightly weaker Blizzard. Make sure Terrapupa falls!

King Boo, use a Spite on Terrapupa's first Psychic, then blast the Claydol good with a Dark Pulse, after Venus' Blizzard comes in, if it finishes Terrapupa off, then zap Alli with a painful Thunderbolt, otherwise finish Terrapupa off with a second Dark Pulse.

Venus: Move in front of King Boo to block the first Shadow Ball ~ Counter (Alli's Facade, and to possibly get her to hit Terrapupa) ~ Blizzard (a slightly weaker one, but still aimed for both opponents)

King Boo: Spite (Terrapupa's Psychic) ~ Dark Pulse (Terrapupa) ~ Thunderbolt (Alli, if Venus' Blizzard KOs Terrapupa)/Dark Pulse (Terrapupa, if the Claydol survives the Blizzard)

Not a prob. Umm for your questions....yes Alli ran/dove down the side of the building to attack/land on Venus.

Facade did 14, Ice Beam did 6. And sure, I can extend it if you feel its hard for you to decipher.

===Let's continue===

The end is drawing near, and with the inevitable fate looming above our competitors, their Pokemon seem to duke it out harder than before...like flames burning bright before they're extinguished.

Alli, hindered still by paralysis, luckily, gets the time she needs to fight it off as Terra has to rip the vines off of him in order to float again. Psychic energies used to free it from its entanglement are also sent in King Boo;'s direction. Fighting the ill effects of being wiped out of existence molecule by molecule, King Boo ensures that his dastardly curse succeeds, leaving Terra even more tired that usual after using such an attack.

Once Terra was free from pinning her Alli snarled back into the match, lunging not only to scare Venus, but to test and see if she could even walk. Her back was unforgivably bruised, and they would pay! Ghostly energies howled in front of her maw, before being fired at..Venus? No! The blast crashed into Venus, and although the shock of the bast pushed Venus back a bit...she didn't feel a thing!

(Alli: -7E
Terra: -11E (Enhanced fatigue) --///--
King Boo: -3E/-11H (from Psychic)
Venus: +5E (She just had to block with her body)

Venus was confused. How the heck did she not feel any pain from the Shadowball? King Boo-she observed, was not confused at all, as he shot right through her, readying a Dark Pulse to counter Terra's incoming Stone Edge. The close range Beam pushed Terra back, even though it forced itself forward through the beam, yearning to hit this ghost back to its grave.

Venus, barely sidestepping that beam, was pounced on again by Alli, whom was biting and gnawing on her rotund form. Amber glean overcame Venus however, and the wobbly girl rolled backwards until she hit an odd angle, from which she shot forward again, mimicing a Wobbuffet! Alli went sailing off of her, right into the mixture of Terra and the Dark Pulse!

(Alli: -7E/-33H (Counter of doubled Facade (28) and crashing into Terra (5))
Terra: -8E/-12H(Dark Pulse (10)+ Alli hitting him (3))
--///--
King Boo: -6E
Venus: -5E/-14H (Doubled Facade)

Alli ad Terra were in a pile now, and Venus reassumed her position in front of Boo. It looked over for those two, as Alli slowly pawed her way up. Body ached-but she still gathered up a howling batch of energy. Terra sprang up the instant he could, and both would suddenly undergo another Arctic blast, as Venus launched a Blizzard at them both. Alli and Terra disappeared under hte howling ice winds for a few moments.

As King Boo's orders were dependant on Venus's success, he waited....until he spotted movement! But whom was it? The red bulbous apparati of the clay pot became all to clear, and Gastly was swift to make his move...a second Dark Pulse aimed directly for the heart. However the beam was met with stiff opposition, as both Venus and Gastly took damage from a very draining Psychic on Terra's part. The pulse found its target however, and Terra soon rotated backwards, falling onto the newly snow covered rocks that littered Goldenrod's streets..

As Venus wobbled back from taking the brunt of that Psychic blast, her angle made it possible for a tired and limping Alli to fire off her Shadowball, nailing the Ghost with a pinpoint precision

(Alli: -7E/-6H (Weakened Blizzard)
Terra: -11E (Enhanced Fatigue)/-21H (Weakened Blizzard (10)+ Dark Pulse (11)
--///--
King Boo: -6E/-17H(Partially blocked Psychic(6) + Shadowball (11))
V: -8E/-6H(Brunt of Psychic))

With the round over, we have Terra lying amongst the snow, Alli barely walking, Venus with some trauma to her belleh and King Boo fading in and out.

Excellent work Venus and King Boo, only one opponent remains before victory can come. Alli has little hope of surviving this round, so let's make sure she falls quickly!

Venus, use as many Earthquakes as needed to make the skunk Pokemon fall. You were great in this battle, as you have always been. However, if the skunk tries to explode, Protect yourself.

King Boo, at this point, we need to distract Alli, so I want you to Taunt her before Venus makes her move, so that Alli will have to take the Earthquake. But if she survives any of them, make sure she falls, by adding on as many Thunderbolts as needed. If Alli tries to explode, use Protect.

Venus: Earthquake/Protect (if Alli tries to use Selfdestruct or Explosion) ~ Earthquake/Protect (if Alli tries to use Selfdestruct or Explosion) ~Earthquake/Protect (if Alli tries to use Selfdestruct or Explosion)

King Boo: Taunt ~ Thunderbolt/Protect (if Alli tries to use Selfdestruct or Explosion) ~ Thunderbolt/Protect (if Alli tries to use Selfdestruct or Explosion)

One way or another, one of you should be able to bring the Skuntank down.

===Let's continue===

The end is here. Alli, limping and bruised, stared King Boo down, even as the ghost began talking smack about how Skuntanks are like Flower from Bambi, impossible to tell their gender. That would have got her mad, but the ground began to shake and rattle just then, Alli far too tired to really worry about anything else.

Coupled with the sharp rocks, it made Alli's life a bit miserable. Damn egg...

Alli fell with the shaking of the Goldenrod street.

Ok. I don't know if Gym Battles get different levels of points Chris...so correct me -I wont do any bank/reffings transactions until I'm sure this is correct.

Chris 2.0 get 2 points
KOT gets 4 points
DL gets 4 points (cause I ironically reffed the majority of the match)

KOT gets your badge?
Chris adds DL to the list of Rookie Refs?

Anything I'm missing?

Kyle you get 4 points, a free catch/evolution and my badge, attached below.

DL you and me get 2 points.

Kyle that was a good match, if a bit short. You earned the badge without a doubt and kept it on my toes. Thanks DL, Hyperness and Mew Master for reffing.

My badge is here (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showpost.php?p=279846&postcount=3)

Excellent, the victory came.

I wasn't so sure at the very beginning of this battle, that the winner would get 8 points (it brings back memories of the first few triple battles I had, where I didn't understand the pattern of earning points was different than a single battle), but still, those 4 points are enough to help me evolve my Cyndaquil, who needs to evolve before my Magnemite.

Thanks again for the battle and the badge, Chris 2.0, and thanks to you guys (HIAGT, MM and DL) for (sub-)reffing.
