Pokemon: 2v2, single battle

Arena: Grassy plains, surrounded by thick trees.

DQ time: 1 week

Banned moves: Attract, Substitute, all direct healers (like Moonlight and Rest, not moves like Mega Drain)

I send first, my opponent attacks first.

Maui, start with Mist! Then hit Eevee with an Aqua Jet! Then finish off the round with Fake Out!

Oh yes, it probably won't matter (Attract is forbidden in this battle), but I forgot to mention my Eevee's gender, which is female.

The wind was a mere light breeze upon this day, making the air slightly warm but always relieved by the lovely air. A few bird-types were chirping upon this day as the hum and buzz of the bug pokemon joined in slight harmony. Yet, in the middle of the lush forest was a grassy field in which two trainers had stumbled upon each other. Eager to battle and test their strength, both Classy and Aggron had thrown their pokeballs to reveal their two main battlers- a handsome and confident Squirtle and a spunky and adorable little Eevee.
At the cue to start, Squirtle immediately concentrated and effected the air with his Mist attack, causing a large fog to cover the field and hamper all aspects of vision. Unable to see, Eevee closed her eyes and concentrated upon bringing out the sun’s brightest rays, causing the clouds to shift and move to reveal the sun’s true power. The rays came forth and helped clear the mist, although partial whisps of fog were still about the field but it helped rise visibility in most areas.

Seeing clearly the Eevee, who was smiling brightly at it’s work on the mist, Squirtle wasted no time leaping into action. Immediately he guzzled some water out and it instantly formed around him as he took off like a bullet from a gun. The water rippled all about his body as he gave out a battle cry, startling the Eevee. However, even with the realization of his attack she had no chance of avoiding it. The Squirtle bashed into her head on, causing her to whimper as she flew back several yards. After skidding to a halt with a few pieces of grass covering her wet body, Eevee stood up. Anger flashed through her eyes as she gathered her own strength and charged forward. Gaining momentum and speed, she dashed about- surprising the Squirtle that she too, had speed. Zig zagging about, suddenly the Eevee then tackled the Squirtle back, sending him a few feet.

Maui the Squirtle rose to his feet and prepared to launch another attack. Charging forward, he suddenly and quite surprisingly crashed right into Eevee. Surprised and startled by the forewardness of the attack, Eevee rose to her feet and was too startled to attack back.

Startled a bit, it took Eevee a while to get back to battling but she concentrated enough to create a glowing tan-like ball of energy. Instantly it was hurled straight at Squirtle, who had plenty of time to ready himself for it as he glistened and prepared to take the attack head-on. Shadowball immediately hit Maui, exploding on impact and causing a little bit of pain- far less than usual. Feeling proud of herself, Eevee gave a cry of triumph and was surprised as the remains of the Shadowball were suddenly sucked back together and fired straight back- catching Eevee completely off guard and sending her flying backwards in pain.

After tumbling back like a little ball of fluff, Eevee unrolled herself and got back to her cute little feet. Narrowing her eyes at the Squirtle, she suddenly charged at the turtle pokemon with amazing speed. Preparing himself, Squirtle withdrew a breath and then guzzled out a stream of water. The fast moving Eevee however was sprinkled with a little bit of the water, wetting its coat but Maui struggled to hit her dead on as she zig-zagged about. She then tackled Squirtle, causing him to fall a few steps back and douse her with half of the normal pressure of water gun from his surprise.

Eevee immediately charged forward again at the Squirtle, readying herself to bite the turtle’s nice little tail. However, Squirtle wasn’t about to have the furry little creature attack it anymore for the round, so he swiftly did what any normal turtle would do- he promptly hid in his shell, causing Eevee to chomp into the shell and let go with a now prominent tooth ache.

Being fast and quick, Eevee didn’t hesitate to act again as she rushed at the turtle pokemon with her swift and amazing speed. Squirtle opened his mouth to give a big yawn as he stretched, but unfortunately it was disrupted as Eevee collided into him, sending the pokemon onto his back and skidding a few feet.

Annoyed by this, Squirtle shifted positions in his shell and got back to his feet as his tail began to glow. Seeing as how the Eevee was still close to him, Squirtle had an easy time whipping about his glowing tail and knocking Eevee several feet backwards. Shaking her head, Eevee got to her feet and glared at the Squirtle. In retaliation, she spewed a liquid purple goo at the turtle. Squirtle soon found himself spattered with the goo, looking positively disgusted as he shook his body to shake it all off.

With new aggravation, Maui went back into the safety of his shell. This time however, he suddenly began spinning about in a rapid motion and charged straight at Eevee. Trying to be quick upon her feet, Eevee also charged forward and mustered up a tackle attack. However, the spinning shell plowered into the tiny fluff ball, knocking her backwards and seeming to have taken no damage.

Maui slowly stopped spinning and began to get out of his shell, when suddenly he looked over to see the Eevee taunting him! Anger showed upon his face as he watched the Eevee taunt and insult him from afar. Feeling himself bubble with annoyance, Squirtle forgot the move he was supposed to do but instead charged at the Eevee and managed to kick and punch the little fluffy ball of normalcy away.

Eevee shook off the attacks and immediately charged at the Squirtle, in a very familiar quick attack that Squirtle now was accustomed to seeing. With her speed and precise movement, Eevee managed to tackle Maui, causing him to fall backwards yet again. This time however, Maui was prepared as he concentrated on the Eevee and slammed his foot to the ground. This was enough to summon rocks forth, suddenly rising in front of the Eevee who skidded to a halt. The rocks soon formed around her, making her trapped inside, and causing minor damage.

Eevee was now trapped within the large rocks, unable to leap out or run away, thus unable to perform her attack, Bite. Seeing this opportunity, Squirtle concentrated and soon a small thin layer of skin shed from his body and peeled onto the ground, ridding himself of the poison that he had within his body.

Preparing to torment the trapped Eevee, Maui happily did his own little jig as he summoned forth clouds and soon rain began to fall from the sky. Worried about the rain and predicatment, Eevee hardened her glimmering tail and smashed it into the stone. Luckily the stone around her was summoned from the grassy ground, and thus it wasn’t super hard. Cracks began to form as a small side crumbled, making way. Eevee began gathering speed as she prepared to summon forth her energy for a Quick Attack. Maui hid in his shell however, causing the fluffy ball to charge and then smack straight into his hard shell again. It jostled Squirtle a little bit, but barely did damage as Eevee saw stars above her head as she staggered about.

Eevee knew she had to swagger at Maui… but before she could gather her wits, she found herself being doused in a stream of water. Squirtle’s head popped out of his shell as he did so, but he focused to stay mostly within the comforts of his protection. The water was enough to wake Eevee out of her dizzy state, but her swagger seemed to be half-hearted as she was soaked and Squirtle seemed content to just stay in his shell.
