The Dark Prognosticus...

That was the name of that accursed tome... The black book of the ancient ones... The seer of the fates of all beings... The text that would bring about death and disaster to thousands before it was finally undone from the pages of history forever. To this day, nobody knows who wrote the Dark Prognosticus, or how it came to be able to predict the darkest and most frightening of fates, nor do they desire to know - the Dark Prognosticus had been sought by many who wished to know their futures, and every last seeker of the book's answers met with a horrible fate, having never found the happiness they yearned for...

But it was not this string of terribly ill luck that earned the Dark Prognosticus its utter taboo. No, what had truly made this text a legend amongst the darkest of legends were the actions of its final executor: a lonesome, misguided soul whose heart almost drove him to obliterate existence itself... That man's name was Blumiere, and this is his story...

Blumiere was born to the Tribe of Darkness, a race of humanlike creatures with mastery over the dark arts and a burning hatred for humanity. After destroying the lives of so many, the Dark Prognosticus was entrusted by Fate to these dark beings, who would guard it from ever falling into the wrong hands again. And so it was, for 1,500 years...

But what Fate had not forseen was that one of the Darkness's own would eventually become those very wrong hands. Prince Blumiere was an aspiring young figure, regal and respected by his entire tribe... a model candidate to become their next ruler, in fact. But one day, the young prince was in a tragic accident - en route to return to his father's palace, Blumiere was inexplicably thrown from a cliff. After falling hundreds of feet, the gravely injured Count finally came to rest in foreign territory: human territory. There, he was found by a young woman by the name of Timpani, a royal figure in her own right who immediately rushed to the fallen Count's aid and nursed him back to health. Blumiere's life changed that day... Humans were no longer alien creatures to be despised, in his eyes, but rather a respectable and kindhearted race. And Timpani herself...

No further words need be said on the matter - Blumiere and Timpani began to sneak off to see each other whenever possible, breaking both of their respective tribes' strictest laws for the sake of love. They were perfect for each other, their worries and cares gone forever - they only knew pure happiness with each other.

But that happiness was not to last - Blumiere's father soon discovered what his son had done, and inflicted horrible punishments to Blumiere, which he tried his hardest to hide from his beloved. Fearing for Blumiere's life, Timpani attempted to leave him, but in a mad proclamation of passion, he begged Timpani to elope with him. Motivated by her heart alone, she agreed, but before the two could escape, Blumiere's father found them and, using his tribe's powers, banished Timpani from their world - indeed, from their very dimension. When he heard the news, Blumiere was stricken with grief and soon vanished from his tribe without a trace...

Fearing the worst, Blumiere's father ordered a search for his son. The entire Tribe of Darkness searched, scouring every last corner of their kingdom and every other. They searched high and low for days... weeks... months... But they never found the missing prince.

But one day, after Blumiere's father had all but given up hope, he was alerted to come to the Hall of the Prognosticus as quickly as he could - word had spread that a powerful sorceror who bore a striking resemblance to Blumiere had breached the sanctuary and slain the guards there. A mixture of hope and dread in his heart, Blumiere's father rushed to the Hall of the Prognosticus to confront the intruder...

"Blumiere...? Blumiere, is it really you?"

"Bleh heh heh heh heh..."

"Blumiere... My son... What has happened to you? Answer me!"

"The one you call 'Blumiere' no longer exists, Father... Count Bleck is my name now."

"What?! What is this nonsense you speak of?! And how dare you enter the library of the Dark Prognosticus!?"

"Bleh heh heh heh! Bleck! I indeed dare! Count Bleck requires the Dark Prognosticus' powers to make his dream come true!"

"WHAT!?! You fool, you know that no good has ever come from that accursed text!!"

"Exactly. ...Replies Count Bleck. But no good can come from Count Bleck's life without the book, so it matters not either way..."

"What... What are you saying...?!"

"Count Bleck has nothing more to say... You took Count Bleck's world from him; now, the time has come to repay that favor..."

"No! Blumiere, I beg you, don't touch the book...!"

"Bleh heh heh heh heh heh... Farewell, murderer..."

Those were the final words ever uttered in that world - with that single manic act of regret, the fuse leading to the destruction of worlds was lit. Blumiere, now Count Bleck, obliterated his father's kingdom with his dark magic, amplified by the powers of the Dark Prognosticus. But his plans had only just begun... Through an elaborate ruse, Bleck staged a wedding between Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom and King Bowser of the Koopa Kingdom, for it was written in the Dark Prognosticus that the union of a pure-hearted maiden and a monstrous king would unleash an artifact of the most ancient evil: the Chaos Heart. Once unleashed, the Chaos Heart would tear open a Void in the very fabric of the dimensions - a Void that would expand until it encompassed all worlds - and then erased them.

However, even with the Chaos Heart unleashed, there was still time to undo its damages and close the Void - an opposing, or perhaps even parallel tribe to the Tribe of Darkness, known simply as the Ancients, had taken careful countermeasures of their own to surpress the Dark Prognosticus' magic. At the time of the Dark Prognosticus' passing to the Tribe of Darkness 1,500 years ago, High Priestess Merlumina of the Ancients created a book that would come to be known as the Light Prognosticus - a tome that could anticipate and prevent the predictions of the Dark Prognosticus. In a similar fashion, her brethren had created an embodiment of pure love and happiness known as the Purity Heart, which was split into 8 Pure Hearts and scattered, hidden in the most sacred and heavily-protected corners of eight different dimensions to prevent the weilder of the Chaos Heart from ever finding them.

And so, the legend of the Purity Heart and the Chaos Heart was written in the Light Prognosticus:

"When the Heart of Chaos summons forth the Void, four heroes shall arise, their combined efforts recollecting the Pure Hearts and using their light to banish the darkness."

The legend proved true - Merlon, a descendant of Merlumina herself and High Priest of the interdimensional town of Flipside, assembled the four heroes: Mario Mario, Luigi Mario, Princess Peach Toadstool, and King Bowser Koopa. And in an upset like none other in history, the four heroes, assisted by a fairy-like creature named Tippi, reclaimed the eight Pure Hearts, bested Count Bleck's minions, and eventually assaulted his castle once and for all.

But it was there that Fate threw a massive monkey wrench into the plans of both the heroes and Count Bleck. Tippi, a victim of amnesia, finally managed to reassemble her memories in Castle Bleck - she was none other than Lady Timpani, who Merlon had discovered between dimensions several years earlier. With the mysterious woman gravely injured, Merlon used his tribe's powers to transform Tippi into a Pixl - a surrealistic lifeform of sentient light that could not be die.

The mystery of Count Bleck's and Tippi's pasts revealed to the four heroes, they were left with no choice but to defeat Bleck in a final, reluctant battle. Near death, the defeated Count requested to be finished so that the Void would close and at least Tippi would remain alive.

Bleck's request, however, was nearly fulfilled in the worst way - a diabolical jester named Dimentio, who was one of Count Bleck's most trusted henchmen, betrayed him and, completing an intricate and ingenious plan that he had long since laid into effect, abducted the hero Luigi Mario, who was said to be the perfect vessel for the Chaos Heart in the Dark Prognosticus. Combining his powers, the Chaos Heart, and its 'host,' Dimentio was transformed into a nightmarish beast: Super Dimentio. The remaining three heroes, along with Count Bleck and Tippi, banded together and eventually managed to destroy Super Dimentio. But with no one controlling it and the Void so nearly complete, it was too late to stop the Chaos Heart through battle anymore, so in one final, desperate act of love, Bleck and Tippi confronted the Chaos Heart and professed their love before it, and in doing so, the 8 Pure Hearts merged into the Purity Heart once more, negated the Chaos Heart, and closed the Void once and for all...

And so, the Chaos Heart and the Purity Heart vanished, and life in all dimensions returned to normal... Though none knew of whatever had happened to Count Bleck and Lady Tippi. Had they died sacrificng themselves? Or were they erased from existence altogether? Or... did something happen to them that not even the Prognosticus's themselves could foresee?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That... is where the story of the Dark Prognosticus was supposed to end forever...
But it didn't - the Chaos Heart had been erased from history, but the Dark Prognosticus itself remained behind, its magic preserving it by locking it away in the deepest, darkest of all dimensions: END. Short for 'Eternal Night Dimension,' this realm of pure blackness now houses the Dark Prognosticus, allowing it to continue to record the dark fates of worlds completely unhindered. And, indeed, the book would have done so, but there was a problem: with nobody to read it, there was nobody's fate to reveal. Thus, the dark essence of the book itself devised a plan - using its powerful magic, the Dark Prognosticus weakened the END's spatial boundaries just enough for the descendants of the Ancients to rediscover it. But, to their horror, the location of the book was unknown to them. And even worse, someone in Flipside leaked out the should-have-been secret that the Dark Prognosticus still existed; soon, the whole town knew, and being nestled in between dimensions as it was, word soon spread across entire dimensions.
The hunt for the Dark Prognosticus had begun again...
OK, there's the story; here's the sign-up. By the way, you can be a made-up character, or any character from the game with interdimensional transportation. However, there are some exceptions to this rule, so don't give me a hard time if I reject your character. With that being said, here you go:
Primary Form
This is what your character will typically look like and act like.
Name: (Obvious.)
Age: (Also obvious; you can be as old or as young as you want.)
Gender: (Male, female, or genderless.)
Role: (Are you on the good side? Are you on the evil side? Or are you somewhere in between? [Please specify.])
Appearance: (What you look like, what clothes you wear, what accessories you carry, etc..)
Personality: (What's your character like?)
History: (Anything important in your character's past you want to mention, mention it here.)
Ethereality: (The only way to progress in this RPG is if you have the power to travel through/between dimensions. Can you do that? If so, how? If not, how will you get from dimension to dimension? I want you guys to put some thought into this one.)
Powers: (Besides dimensional transportation, you have to have some other power(s). Limit three per character.)
Other: (You all know what to do with this, right...? ;))
Secondary Form
This is optional - if you wish, your character can transform into a different form (ex., Blumiere into Bleck, Timpani into Tippi, etc.). You remain basically the same, except that your powers become stronger and more versatile. The change is not so drastic that your gender or motives change, nor do you develop any different powers - dimensional or otherwise.
Name: (Still obvious.)
Age: (How long your character's second form has existed, basically.)
Catalyst: (The trigger(s) that causes your character to transform into his/her/its secondary form; once said catalyst ends or passes, you revert to your primary form again. Limit two per character.)
Appearance: (Same as above - it can be as subtle or as outrageous as you want.)
Personality: (Does this form have a different personality from the first? If so, what?)
History: (How did this form come to be?)
Other: (Same as above. Poor Other...)
And with that being said, here I go:
Primary Form
Name: Blumiere Infeneri
Age: Approximately 30
Gender: Male
Role: Hero - he seeks to find the Dark Prognosticus and destroy it once and for all so it can't hurt anyone anymore.
Appearance: About 6'1" and 185 pounds, Blumiere is a slim, humanoid figure with indigo skin, black hair, red-orange eyes with black pupils, and short fangs instead of teeth. His body is hidden by a classy white tuxedo with golden buttons and a large, spherical brooch the color of red wine situated just below his high collar, which is lined with red on the inside. His shoes and gloves are a flawless white, and his belt is black as pitch. Draped over his tuxedo is a white cape that gradually changes from white to midnight blue at its ends; the inside of the cape is jet-black and lined with stars and speckles of various shades of blue, white, and purple. He wears a monocle over his right eye, and his hair is concealed by a tall white top hat with a midnight blue wrap just above the brim. He carries a wooden staff about four feet in length which is topped by a golden cap, nestled in which is a diamond-shaped gemstone the color of glass.
Personality: Blumiere is a romantic figure when in the company of his dear wife Timpani, whom he treats like a goddess. He is calm and gentle, but he also has a regal air about him and he will take an authoritive stance when the situation calls for it. In times of calmness and peace, he is a gentle soul and will assist those in need. But in times of strife, he becomes firm and will fight fiercely for what he believes in, no matter what it may cost him.
History: N/A (See the story above.)
Ethereality: Blumiere learned a spell that would allow its caster to transfer himself/herself and others to other dimensions by reading the Dark Prognosticus.
Powers:
1. Temporal Distort: Blumiere can slow or speed up time itself for brief periods.
2. Micro Void: Blumiere can cast dark blasts of ethtereal energy at his enemies that suck them in and explode on contact.
3. Blast Barrier: Blumiere can surround himself with a barrier of red energy that inflicts burning pain on anyone who touches it. It can also incinerate or reflect small projectiles.
Other: 'Infeneri' is a name of my own devising - a mix of 'inferno' and 'infinity.' Befitting for a Dark Tribesman with the power to obliterate every world in existance, don't you think? ;)
Secondary Form
Name: Count Bleck
Age: At least 5 years.
Catalysts:
1. Large amounts of pain or stress (This can be physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, or psychological.).
2. Seeing his wife in any form of danger.
Appearance: In this form, Bleck looks as he did in the video game, his detailed facial features replaced by a crooked, jagged mouth like that of a jack-o-lantern and his non-monocled eye a fiery orb of light. His arms seem to vanish altogether, leaving only a ghostly pair of gloved hands that seem a few inches larger than they should be. His arms and legs also seem to vanish, giving him a floating, spectral appearance that is further amplified by his billowing cape, which seems to move and flutter as though it has a mind of its own.
Personality: Bleck is like a medium between Blumiere and the Bleck of the video game. He can show kindness and compassion, but he is primarily a stoic, eccentric figure with several erratic behavioral patterns, a penchant for his own name, and, perhaps most disturbing, a ruthless drive to fight and fight until his enemy is completely subdued, if not destroyed altogether.
History: N/A (Again, see the story above for this.)
Other: I know that this RPG doesn't perfectly match the video game's storyline, but if you're still reading by this point, you're likely thinking of joining and probably don't care. So don't bother pointing out any discrepancies - I already know about them.
Name: Smorg S. McSmorgsmorg
Age: Unknown
Gender: Unknown
Role: Seeking the power of the dark prognosticus for personal gain.
Appearance: A huge mass of oily lumps and inflamated knobs, smushed together into a huge being made of grunge and filth. It is constantly moving and twitching, made up of thousands of different living organisms, all of which have linked minds and the same purpose. It can shift its form around and create putrid tentacles, claws and pincers. It is mostly a dark shade of navy blue, the color of a rotten fish's underbelly that has soaked in the deepest regions of the most foul sea for millenia. In the center of this abomination is an area of pink muk covered orbs and blobs, conjoined into what appears to be the creatures brain, or at least, whatever is running the show. This is known as the Smorg Miasma. It can hobble along slowly, but can also move like a lithe slinky, or quickly and stealthily skulk around in shapes it sees fit. It can also separate into a series of smaller smorgs, down to the thousands of separate goo-clumps that make it up, each of them sentient, albeit mildly. Occasionally wears hats, but only if it thinks they are threatening.
Personality: Doesn't take shit from anyone. Tries not to take any sides, but is susceptible to bribery. Has a sense of humor, and often likes to be alone. Does not respond well to orders. Enjoys long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners and crayons. Not very agreeable, has picky tastes in food. Carefully scopes out new surroundings and beings it meets. It is seeking the prognosticus so it can gain more power, and evolve into the ultimate being. It kills to gain more power because it hopes to clean all weaknesses from itself and overcome all those that dare to oppose it....greedy bastard. It cannot speak in human tongues, and merely speaks it's own alien language, which consists of 'SmoOoOoOoOoOooOoOoOrg!!!' and related phrases. It will change its tone of voice in semi understandable ways, however. Not very agreeable.
History: Smorg's whereabouts before it was hired by the 'X-nauts' are unknown, but it was found wandering a derelict planet in a solar system discovered by the X-nauts. After an unsucessful attempt to capture it, Smorg agreed to act as a temporary bodyguard for Sir Grodus himself. Since it's previous Master, Sir Grodus hired its/their efforts, and was then defeated, Smorg has been jobless and has worn a cowboy hat to suit his new 'lone ranger' approach to things. Being extremely, extremely adaptable, Smorg learned of warriors who could break through dimensional tissue, and spent years evolving, so it could gain such powers itself. To do so, it requires Smorg to morph its miasma into the shape of a wand, and cast a spell to disapparate into chosen dimension. However, if not done perfectly, a part of Smorg could be splinched off, and it may lose a few of it's parts.
Powers:
Bodily Modification (including evolution over time to develope new strengths)
Divide and Conquer
Acid/Toxin Secretion.
Etheraisffgisnity: I know I left the damn thing out, i wrote it in history. He evolved until he could switch dimensions like Dimentio and guys.
Now lets see a Mr. L!
He's finally done and ready for posting.
Name: Bastion Cogsworth
Age: around his late twenties, early thirties.
Gender: Male
Role: Villian.
Appearance: He’s humanoid, standing at 6 foot with a very slim build and a very pale complexion. His oil black hair messily oozes just past his chin and his eyes are an insane yellow, yet their always hidden behind the a pair of goggles he wears. His face is thin, yet there is some trace of handsomeness in it.
He wears a black coat which does down to the back on his knees, with a black vest over a white shirt and a dirty white cravat. His pants are the same coal black as his coat and are tucked into his black, knee high, steel toed boots. His gloves, once white, are now a grimy grey and he has a pair of cog-shaped steel bands on his wrists.
Personality: While he’s polite and almost friendly when you first meet him, he gives an unsettling and almost menacing aura. Being a man of science, he’s quite intelligent, almost to the point where he can be considered a genius. However, it’s his perfectionism that is his main flaw. Everything he does must be perfect. It’s because of this that he looks highly upon machines and down upon living life. He considered organic organisms imperfect and incapable of perfection. Likewise, machines can be perfected, completing their task with perfect results. He’s easily frustrated when things go beyond his control and can go from calm to furious if the situation arrives.
History: A once brilliant scientist and inventor amongst his people. He had always had a passion about machines, curious about how they worked and gleeful that they can accomplish tasks more efficiently. He had also seen how living beings work and the accidents that they could cause. As a result, he always chose machines over the living. However, this contempt for the living was not known until much, much later.
In gratitude for his services, the ruler of his world decided to arrange a marriage between him and one of his daughters. It wasn’t long before the two fell in love, but then something occurred which brought their seemingly happy future to a halt.
Bastion had created an automated mining system, completely revolutionizing his world’s mining production. However, this machine would result in the loss of hundreds of jobs. So, choosing his people over production, the ruler denied the use of Bastion’s system, something that shocked him greatly. He couldn’t believe he was refused. He couldn’t understand why.
Because his king wasn’t perfect. Because HE wasn’t perfect.
Bastion disappeared into seclusion, right up until the day of his wedding. However, people were shocked to find instead of the handsome brilliant scientist, a pale, thin, far more sinister version of himself arrived. He declared that the wedding could not take place, because he hadn’t finished a gift for his future wife. When asked what this gift was, he simply responded with “A perfect world” and left.
When he was confronted by one of his research assistants, the horrible truth came out. In his search for perfection, Bastion had combined himself with his machines. He plans to turn everything into machines in order to make the world perfect. And to accomplish this, he needs the power of the Dark Prognosticus. Using the device in his hammer, Bastion disappeared into another dimension, promising to create the perfect world for his future wife.
Ethereality: He has built a device into his large hammer which can open a portal between dimensions. To create a portal, he simply needs to strike a surface with it.
Powers:
Machina Control: He can take control of any form of machine within the general area, able to bend them to his whim and even turn simple machines into weapons. He can also combine them into one, big machine.
Rocket Punch: As the name suggests, he has the ability to fire his fists out like rockets, striking the enemy with great force.
Electromagnetic Barrier: Bastion creates an electromagnetic barrier around him, deflecting some projectiles. This can be combined with his Rocket Punch and which while if hit, the barrier is disabled, it sends all its electrical energy into the enemy, doing much more damage than normal.
Other: Anyone want to play as his fiancé?
Mega Horny: You forgot to put in 'Ethereality' as a separate part of the sign-up. Do that, because I'm a prick stickler for perfection, and you're accepted.
NOTE: ALL FURTHER PARTICIPANTS, PLEASE ADD A MOTIVE TO THE 'ROLE:' PART OF THE SIGN-UP. I FORGOT THAT PART.
Crystal Tears
26th July 2007, 01:05 PM
Name: Nii
Age: Unknown
Gender: Presumed Female
Role: Hero-ish. Depends if she finds her sister before she gets to the book (see history).
Appearance: Nii is a small, white glowing ball about the size of a marble. When she flies arounds trail of light appears. If you look closely, you can see two beautiful crystal blue eyes.
Personality: Nii is a very curious creature; she'll examine and try to understand everyone and everything that is new to her. She loves to learn and isn't afraid to make a mistake and try again. Kind at heart, Nii's personality makes her unable to cast harmful magic, yet she excels at defensive and healing.
History: Nii's history really isn't all that interesting. She was created like all of her race; a light for another's heart goes farther then they could ever imagine and gives life to an entity based on that person. Nii has a sister however: her name was Raa. Raa was born from darkness: and would've remained that way of Nii had abandoned her. Nii stuck around, making Raa see that theirs good in everything. Raa heard of the Dark Prognosticus before Nii, and in attempt to save Nii and the others from being exposed to its evil, Raa disappeared. Recently, everyone of Nii's race (effectively called a 'Pyrefly' ) felt the death of one of their great warriors. Nii's goal on this mission is to both find the book and discover where her sister is, or if she must, use the powers from the book to bring her sister back.
Ethereality: She extinguishes herself in one dimension and effectively appears in another. This could be considered teleporting, but for a brief moment, Nii fails to exist at all.
Powers:
1) Shield: Nii can create a nearly impenetrable shield around herself and an ally.
2) Stun: Nii's only 'offensive' attack, Nii can stun her enemies so she can escape.
3) Heal: Her best ability, Nii can heal wounds, severely critical ones and death are beyond her capabilities, but she could ease their pain.
Other: Pyreflies cannot speak; they instead attempt to reflect their ideas and emotions through sending waves of feelings to the people around them.
kalad1
27th July 2007, 10:05 PM
Primary Form
Name: Alexander aka Alpha-X 992
Age: 2 years, technically.
Gender: Technically genderless, but is based around a male appearance
Role: Good intentioned.
Appearance: Standing at 6 feet tall with an apparently athletic build, he looks like a tan human with brilliant crimson hair cascading to just below his shoulders and blue eyes. However, instead of bleeding when cut, it merely tears his synthetic skin, revealing a silvery metal underneath. He normally wears loose black pants and a black shirt.
Personality: Serious, he's got a mission and he's going to fulfill it, but he isn't a jerk or anything, and will help those in need. He tends to be slightly judgemental
History: Made by Doctor Eggman as an experiment in AI and to see how effective a robot made to look completely human would be, he ended up with free will, and was, oddly enough, allowed to make his own judgements and make up his mind for himself, with no impediment from his maker.
Eventually judging his master to be misguided and a danger to the world around him, he set out to fight against his creator, but found out he had some hidden programming, preventing him from taking any action that would, within fifty chain reactions cause harm to Eggman or his plans. He began to search for a way to either get around the limit, and ended up traveling dimensions looking for one. Then he heard of the Dark Prognosticus.
Ethereality: He has two Chaos Emeralds, one in his chest that is his main power source(Emerald Green one) and an extra one(Red one), and using them together allows him to pierce the veil between dimensions.
Powers: Chaos Control: Utilizing his extra emerald, he is able to teleport himself short distances, generally within 100 meters.
Chaos Weaponry: Harnessing the emerald in his chest, he's able to form a blade of glowing green energy from his wrist area forward, reaching to two feet in length, as well as shoot bolts of green energy from his palms.
Emerald Cannon: Pulling his chest open, Alexander exposes the Emerald in his chest, from which he fires a large, meter wide beam of green energy. This move leaves him vulnerable though, as his main powersource is right there, right where someone could snatch it.
Other: (You all know what to do with this, right...? )
Secondary Form
Name: Limit Alpha
Age: 1 Year
Catalyst: 1.Releasing the Limiter on the power his systems takes in from its Emerald.
Appearance: His hair turns bleached white, his eyes burn with an inner red light, and green energy crackles across his skin.
Personality: Unrelenting, and will not stop until he is either beaten, or has either killed or beaten his opponent into a bloody pulp.
History: In an attempt to change his own programming, he managed to alter the section that regulated how much energy was drawn into his systems, essentially allowing himself to supercharge himself if necessary. It does have side effects on his mental processors due to energy overload though, creating a more ruthless and callous personality dubbed "Limit Alpha".
Other: (Same as above. Poor Other...)
Magi of all
1st August 2007, 04:02 AM
Name: Elior
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Role: Neutral, but will most often side with heroes
Appearance: Stands roughly 5’9” in height. Has short brown hair that feathers back on the right side. His deep-set eyes are a dark brown, but look black from a distance. His arms and legs are rather bulky, but lack muscular definition. Wears a black jacket over a white shirt with long black pants. He also wears fingerless biker gloves
Personality: Fidgety by nature, Elior can often be see cracking his joints of cleaning his fingernails. He dislikes harsh light and prefers the cool shade of night. Rather philosophical by nature, Elior often points out things that seen strange. Elior enjoys his rather mundane appearance, as it lets him blend in with the crowd more. Likes to listen rather than talk and is very good at listening secretly. Often hesitates at crucial moments and is reluctant to take risk or be a leader. Will defer to others as much as possible. Rather shy around strangers, but very loyal to those he calls friends. Loves to go new places and feels most at home when not at home.
History: Unlike most heroes of legend, Elior did not abandon his life due to trauma or shock or any sort of problem. Elior set out simply for his love of wandering. His initial ambition was to be a great hero, but after meeting several corrupted people, he became jaded. Realizing that every story has to sides, Elior turned neutral and began to learn the value of information. Using his blending skills, Elior began to hunt down myths and legends for fun. One particular legend caught his interest. The Legend of the Flame Rider. The legend said that the rider could travel anywhere in the world with just a flick of his coat and could shoot fire from his hands. Determined to track down this legend, Elior spent six months gathering information about the subject. Eventually he determined that the treasure must be on Lava-lava Island. Making the trip there, Elior braved the dangers of the volcano. After many hours of searching in vain, Elior eventually came to a treasure chamber. Just as the legend said, it was guarded by glasses-wearing, rock-throwing monster. Aware that he was completely out matched in power, Elior made a desperate dive for the treasure. His dive fell short and he was only able to grab one glove before he was of and running again. Pulling the glove over his right hand, Elior found new power coursing through him. With a mighty punch, Elior released a blast of flame at the monster. Then, exhausted and mentally drained, Elior passed out. Awaking several hours later, Elior found the monster gone and a large crater with glass edges in its place. Pulling on the left glove and donning the jacket, Elior gave the tattered thing a tug. Immediately he was at the center of the crater he had made. Sitting before him was a pair of perfectly normal glasses. Picking them up and putting them on, Elior was astounded by what happened. His vision became perfect. Better than perfect. With these glasses on he could zoom in on things and see at night. Truly a great find. Despite the great rewards, Elior has not risked himself in a dangerous adventure again, at least, not until he heard of The Dark Prognoticus
Ethereality: Elior’s Coat allows him to travel between dimensions as well as across space. To travel Elior must simply move the coat in some way and think about where he wants to go
Powers: Enhanced vision: Along with perfect vision, Elior can also see and night and over long distances. However, he can do neither if the glasses are knocked off.
Fire Power: Elior’s gloves let him manipulate fire to varying degrees. The right one gives power, the left one gives control. Should he lose one, his power will be greatly changed. With only the right glove, Elior can fire only one shot, though it is powerful. With only the left glove, Elior can’t make more than a tiny palm flame, though he can do several things with it that are quite complex.
Space transport: Elior can move across great distances in the blink of an eye just by flicking his coat. Nothing can impede this movement, nor can it be detected. However, Elior can’t use it if he can’t see where he is going. Distance is roughly to the horizon, though Elior can only move that far once every two days.
Other: Is very shy around women. Enjoys a good sob story
Name: Fire rider
Age: 3 years
Catalyst: Great Anger: If Elior becomes angry; the Fire Rider emerges and takes over his body.
Desperation: If things are looking bad, Elior can ask the Fire Rider to come out and help. The Fire Rider only comes out if he is truly needed, so Elior can’t control the transformation
Appearance: Body is completely black, so black that it seems to absorb any light that touches it. In start contrast, the coat becomes pure white and seems to glow even in darkness. Starting at the knees and going all the way to the feet, the Fire Riders legs are pure fire. The allow him to move at high speeds and can melt lead from three feet away
Personality: the Fire Rider is driven by Elior’s emotions when summoned. The Fire Rider is focused and determined, capable of anything. When dormant, the Fire Rider is judgmental, not allow Elior a single ounce of his power until he proves himself worthy or is in dire need. The Fire Rider is also prideful and hates being lumped together with Elior
History: The Fire Rider emerged three years ago, one year after the volcano adventure. Elior had been cornered by a gang of ruthless Koopa and was dead tired as it was. Fearing death, Elior called out for help. When he awoke, he found himself in a bead and the Koopas found themselves badly hurt. Eyewitnesses described the fire rider as beautiful and ruthless. Shortly afterward he learned this could also be triggered by anger after watching a corrupt cop extort money from a poor family. Gradually he began to have memories of what happened as the Fire Rider, though he is still no closer to controlling it
Other: The Fire Rider is opposed to needless violence
Name: Lady Timpani Flunnetana
Age: Mid-20's
Gender: Female
Role: Good- To aid the Count in his noble quest.
Appearance: Around 5' 4" and 108 pounds, this lady has a perfect complexion is fair, just like the rest of her. Tampani usually and currently wears a perfectly white dress, which goes down to her feet, and is trimmed with rainbow around the bottom. Despite the beauty of her dress, it is modest, with long sleeves (and perfectly round puffs, thank you very much, on the shoulders) and high collar. (which supports arm and neck modesty) She wears tiny, neat white gloves for her tiny, gentle hands so that they don't get dirty. The rainbow trimming finds itself around her small waist and tiny neck. And on the top of her fine fair hair, a rainbow bow. She wears her late Grandmother's pearl earrings.
Personality: She is lady like and frank, but though she speaks her mind, she controls her emotions very well, unless she is extremely upset or distressed, or in the presence of only the Count, who she trusts more than anyone in the entire world.
History: N/A (see intro)
Ethereality: Alas, she cannot. Timpani must travel with the Count to go through dimensions. (Yay for him! ^.^)
Powers:
True Love Finder: She can teleport where ever her true love is.
Tippi's ID powers: a kind of cross between 'X-ray vision' and telekinesis. In short, she can see what an enemy (or whoever) is hiding, what attacks they use, what their weaknesses are, etc.
Purifying Light: When fighting lower level evils, she can purify their hearts and let the light of love and goodness shine through. And after defeating big baddies, she can turn their dark hearts pure.
Other: Thanks for the help, my angel. *heart*
Name: Lady Tippi
Age: Three years
Catalyst:
1) Large amounts of pain or stress (This can be physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, or psychological.).
2. When she's in serious danger
Appearance: Her dress turns from white to gold, and grows magnificent butterfly wings in the colours of a rainbow. She sprinkles fairy dust when she flies. She rainbow trimming becomes white.
Personality: Not in the least! How dare you suggest she has multi-personality?
History: After reawakening, Tippi, the Pixl realized that her body had been restored to its human shape. Whether through love, perseverance, some sort of mysterious healing... She had no clue what caused it, but she soon discovered she could take on certain aspects of Tippi's form if she concentraded hard enough. Thus far, she has regained her powers of teleportation, excessive knowledge, and flight that Tippi had, and in addition, she could now cast a purifying light that calmed the souls of those who saw it. Lady Tippi is often dormant within Timpani's subconscious, but if needed, she will awaken and amplify Timpani's powers with all her strength. Tippi and Timpani, surprisingly, have nearly identical personalities, a feature not commonly seen in many two-form entities.
Other: Once again, thank you my angel of music (^-^ *turns on the musical*)
Houndoom_Lover: The Timpani to my Blumiere... Well, honestly, who didn't see that coming? :P
Anyway, good work, HL - you're in.
Now, I'd get the RPG started, but I recently received an e-mail on my Hotmail account from someone named unicorngirl407, who wants to join this RPG but she can't get a TPM account. Hopefully, that'll be dealt with soon and she can sign up; then we'll begin.
