View Full Version : Dark Sage vs Mystic Clown (Ref: DarkestLight)

Dark Sage
17th December 2007, 05:41 PM
That's right! I've never faced MC in an ASB Battle, so I'm making a challenge.

Here are my rules:

Pokemon: Three, one out at a time. Also, we are only allowed Pokemon that are in their first evolutionary stage. Pokemon that do not evolve (like Tauros) are not allowed.

DQ Time: One week

Banned Moves: Rest, Substitute, Destiny Bond, Perish Song, any direct status inflicters (Toxic and Thunder Wave are not allowed, Body Slam and Poison Jab are fine) any direct healers (Recover is not allowed, Giga Drain is fine.)

Arena: The beach outside of Dewford Town. A sandy beach, with a cliffside to the west, and the ocean to the east.

Other: We PM our first choice of Pokemon to the ref, so there is no intentional Type-trumping. He decides at random who attacks first.

So, how about it MC?

Alright, you'r on DS. Thankfully, I've only got three pokemon that fall into that catagory (well, actually four, but the fourth I will never ever use)

Dark Sage

Great! All we need now is a ref.

Any takers?

(DarkestLight, I know your goal is to gain 200 points by next December...)

Alright Molten, let's do this.

Start off with a Sunny Day, followed by a Double Team. Then finish up with a Flamethrower

Sunny Day - DoubleTeam - Flamethrower

Dark Sage
19th December 2007, 10:52 PM
Charon, wait for him to use Sunny Day, then use Rain Dance. The rain should do away with his clones when he uses Double Team.

Next use two attacks to try to hurt him and aid yourself at the same time.
First, Ominous Wind. Then Charge Beam.

===Round 1===

Ahh, the beach. Glistening water. Suntanned skin. Ya gotta love that Dewford sun. DL here, taking it back to summertime with a beach battle. Sagey to my left and Mystic to my right-and my lovely Mai Tai in front of me. Alll right! Sagey starts off with a ghost, odd for a beachtime match. Mystic follows suit with a Slugma, a perfect fit for the heat.

The battle begins *sip* Molten takes a deep breath, and begins to exhale, somehow expanding its deepest wishes and desires to the already Sunny area, making this Day even better. Following suit, Charon does a dastardly thing, and forces clouds and other ghostly ominous things to appear, the Rain falling as he dances about. Moltem dosen't agree with this one bit.

Charon: -4E ==///== Molten: -3E
Rain Dance: 5 actions

With the rains falling, Molten's following action proved fatal, as the Double Team was instantly wiped out by the raindrops. Charon moaned, and the rains then brought a Ominous Wind from atop the cliffside. It blew past Moltem, chilling her very body and hurting her soul. Charon clapped with his ghostly hands, happy for the Slugma's discomfort, and for his own added comfort!

Charon: -7E All +1 ==///== Molten: -4E/-9H

Really in a chilling pickle, Molten glares over at Charon, who zips up almost instantly. Maw opened, a wave of Charged energy Beamed out of his mouth, blasting Molten backwards in the rain. As Charon reveled in his seemingly growing ability to do elemental blasts, A thinned stream of fire did glance his body. He shuddered from the pain and wafted away, as Molten slithered back. No way was he out of this yet.

===Round 2===

The rain, although bothersome, seems to be infuriating Molten. He is steaming up pretty well. Even though a thick Dark blast of Pulsating power streaks-slams into and utterly smashes him against the cliffside, he dosen't seem to care. The sun comes out again! YAY for heat! Charon dosen't like this development, his Emo-playlist on his I-pod is definitely not fitting.

Charon: -7E ==///== Molten: -3E/-12H
Sunny Day-5 actions

Charon, being a bit speedier now, shoots over and evaporates in front of Molten. Molten though begins to slam his head into the cliffside, causing a small amount of Rocks to fall apparently on himself. But his plan works, as Charon reappears and smacks him with a Faint headbutt Attack. This makes Molten roll away from where the rocks eventually land~on Charon. He is displeased he fell for that setup...as he now had to slow down for a bit..

Charon: -6E/-5H -1 Spd ==///== Molten: -5E/-9H

With his newfound strength, Charon slams his way out of the rocky debris, only to be greeted with the flames of Lucifer! A desperate attempt to block fails and he is seared quite painfully! Falling atop the rocky prison, Charon needs a moment.

Molten slithers back a bit, in order to gain a view of the foolish ghost, only to lock eyes with an enraged Charon. Instantly, the world flips upside down for Molten, and he freaks out, since day has become an evil Shade of Night.

The mental anguish ends as fast as it begins, leaving Moltem slightly weaker.

===Round 3===

As the sun blares its eternal brightness upon the land, Charon quickly feels its time to gain the upper hand. Molten tries his best to make that impossible, by pumping his body enough so the water vapor from the sea touches him and instantly turns into team. A steam that is blackened by Molten's willpower. The newly formed Smog begins to fade out visibility, until Molten is struck back by a strong force. Slithering away from whatever hit him, Charon moans, his Pursuit had worked.

Charon: -4E/-2H ==///== Molten: -3E/-4H

Seeing that this ghost was to be a nuisance, Molten quickly forced some of the lava like pores on his back to explode. They did resulting in a magmatic layer that swiftly began to harden in this coastal environment-giving him pahoehoe armor :D.

It was of little consequence to Charon however, as the spirit let loose an ring of energy that connected though the Smog, striking Molten back aways into the Smog.

Charon: -7E ==///== Molten: -4E/-10H +2 Def

Finally, Charon stopped. But that was in order to grow a Shadow Ball as big as his head!. Holding it with spirit fingers...he now saw...nothing.

Just Smog. Crap! Molten stayed silent, spotting Charon had no clue where he blasted him. He made it even worse now, as a thicker black Smoke suddenly engulfed the area, Screening Charons' sight to near none. Charon was re sourceless now, as his Shadowball was rendered null by his inability to attack.

The sun died down as well, making it a bit darker too..

Ok, let's see what we can do.

Molten, listen out for the taunt, and then cut him off with an Ancient Power. If the taunt fails, then use Harden, if it does, the entomb him with a Rock Tomb. Hopefully, he'd be forced to use his Shadow Ball to escape. If that taunt doesn't work, or he escapes without using Shadow Ball, then use Flamethrower to cancel it out before it hits you. If he doesn't escape, just sit back and relax.

===Round 4===

With blinding smoke all around, Charon barely peers out over it all,. From his new vantage point, he begins to moan very vulgar comments about how Slugmas look like ..well I can't repeat it.

Molten hears something up above, and fortunately can't really make it out all that well yet. However, he forces Rocks to fly upward with an Ancient chant. The rocks blast through the smoke, and crash into the ghost, causing him to fall back into the finally thinning smoke.

Molten smiles, feeling a bit better about all his setting up.

Charon: -3E/-7H ==///== Molten: -6E +1 All

This match was swiftly going sour. Charon raced through the smog, and moaned incessantly. Upon his call to the netherworld, the winds came to clear the smoke away. They blew with spirits and other Ominous forces, freeing the battlers sight of all this black.

Seeing his cover was quickly becoming eliminated, Molten Hardened his exterior again, so he could take anything thrown at him. The Winds aided this endeavor, but they still hurt.

Charon: -7E ==///== Molten: -2E/-9H +1 Def

The scales still tilted in his favor, Charon locked eyes with Molten, before volleying a hefty Shadowball infused with all his current anger at the Fire-Type. He retaliated the incoming hit by forcing a Flamethrower out and acting as a counter force to the sphere. The sphere exploded with the flames' contact, and that searing stream went to burn the ghost.

Molten wound up landing direly close to the water, quite hurt from the force of the sphere exploding.

Though ready to take on a cruiser missile, Molten seems winded. He dosen't let it slow him down though, and forces Rocks up from underneath the sands, to try and enTomb Charon. The wily ghost focuses his energy into Protecting himself as the rocks bounce away harmlessly.

Charon: -10E ==///== Molten: -6E

Seeing that failed, a Screen of Light began to bend and fold around Molten, helping him for the moment as a blackened Shade of power came crashing upon it. The hit was buffered for now...but Charon saw the slug weakening.

Upset over being entombed, Charon focused. He was a bit tired, and as such, he decided to calmly attune his power so that he could maximize it. The first Shadowball was used to blast himself free of the rock. Upon freedom however, he floated back into a world of Smog! Stupid friggin' SLUG!

Charon: -5E/-2H ==///== Molten: -3E

Unsure where that slug was again, Charon idly charged another Shadowball, and fired it off to his right. A odd series of fizzling could be heard, but when Charon floated over to investigate, he only saw water. Drat, missed.

Meanwhile, circling Charon were 5 Slugmas, each keeping as low to the ground as possible, they knew the Smog wasn't going to hold out long.

Charon: -5E ==///== Molten: -4E

Tired now, Charon took a breather. The Smog was thinning, as as such, Charon spotted one Slugma! Knowing where it was, he'd pick it off next round. Moltem snickered, knowing Charon had no real clue what was going on, and swiftly bent Light in his favor, asserting a second level of shielding. Since his first one ended just now, it was just another new set.

The Smog most likely will lift by the end of the next action....

This slug was lasting far too long. Taking a breather, Charon could only watch as he was encased again by Rocks! Would this Slug QUIT!

Charon: -7H ==///== Molten: -6E

Upset over this development now, Charon channeled all his energy into blasting free with a harsh Night Shade. As he blasted free this time, he thought his Night Shade was still in effect. That was not the case, as now a thick black screen of Smoke clouded his vision. CRAP!

Charon: -5E ==///== Molten: -4E

This had to end. Unsure of his opponents location and totally unknowing there were clones about, Charon howled. The Winds that came screeching through began to buffer upon invisible screens, Ominously shattering through all the defenses and barriers that were erected to try and give Molten some invulnerability.

After the smoke was scattered and the dust settled, Charon looked on with glee as flexed his sprite arms in glee. There lied Molten, with no energy left to fight, it seemed.

With a brinding frash! an Elekid appeared. Overjoyed to be fighting near the singey smelling ocean-the electric type flexed both physical and mystical muscle, sparks flying to and from. Charon looked on in dismay, this could get rough.

Well, not daring to let the little thing get an upper hand, Charon put forth a Shade to smack Elekid down with. However, the darkness was pierced by a strong Flash that gave Charon's dead corneas a shock of pain. Roaring in pain, Charon floated around aimlessly.

The darkness did make its appointed target shiver with fear though, as darkness never truly leaves ones mind..

Charon: -5E ==///== Rhoas: -4E/-10H

Unsure as to where his opponent disappeared to, Charon released a wavelike Night Shade. However, he was facing the wrong way, as Elekid idly watched -building a Screen of light to filter any more of those types of attacks from crashing his way.

Keen to the fact that the ghosts sight may be returning soon, Elekid slowly built up its energies, and let loose a phenomenal Discharge, that bounced everywhere! ===Round 9===

Charon silently observed his opponent, whom was calling the sky to help him. Fully knowing what that could entail..Charon attempted to make a beeline away from the ocean. His energy still waned, he half heartedly accepted his fate.. Rhoas didn't care, and pointed his finger toward the felled specter. A massive Jolt of Thunder slammed down upon the sands..MISSING Charon! Rhoas blinked, realizing the sands were blinding his aim a bit DANGIT!

Charon: THX JESUZ! ==///== Rhoas: -10E

Feeling a spike in his energy, Charon was able to float back to his normal altitude, only to get shocked into the sands by a pinpoint Shock Wave! Flipping up, Charon retaliated by making day into Night, confusing Rhoas with all Shades of darkness attacking his mind. The Light Screen Buffered, but it still held for now.

Charon: -6E/-6H ==///== Rhoas: -7E/-8H

Unhappy with the prowess being displayed here, Rhoas once again called upon his element, aside form his cheeks hurting insanely from using so much power at once. A weaker Beam of electricity was Charged, and fired, hitting the ghost for minimal damage. Charon giggled, but felt the onset of paralysis finally, and sneered. Movement was restricted for now, but that was fine. ...

===Round 10===

The roar of undulating seawater was subdued for the moment, as Charon raised his little spectre arms in defiance. Rhoas watched, as the small grey ghost came bulleting for him. Instantly, a forced split forced Charon to stop and reassess his tactic. Instead of one, there were 4 Rhoas, all grinning at the little bugger.

It didn't matter. Charon was fast enough to notice that his sudden stop made some sand fly, and the sand was covering one of the Rhoas feet, the others were neatly over it! He barreled over and rammed the real Rhoas, knocking all the clones away!

Charon: -7E ==///== Rhoas: -4E/-12H

Feeling himself dip one more, Charon allowed himself to rest on the sand. Knowing full well the ghost was unable to attack sufficiently, Rhoas called upon the sky to deliver his final judgement. In swift order, a thick bolt of lightning Thundered down upon the oceanic landscape, slamming full force into Charon.

Charon was able to ease through that a bit better than he thought-relaxing after the attack so his body didn't seize up.

Charon: -9H/+6E ==///== Rhoas: -11E

Seeing his opponent still standing, a Second Thunder-just as powerful as the first-rained down on Charon. Rhoas fell to the ground however, utterly tired from using such strong attacks in repetition. Charon blinked, hoping that by some miracle he was astill alive. Sure of this fact, he lied there cursing out his pain.

Stepping free from his apparent daze of energy use, Rhoas began to ball up another incredible amount of energy. However, his yellow aura faded, allowing him to release a substantially toned down attack. Fearing he had no chance to evade, Charon dove head first at Rhoas, blasting through the Shocking Waves of energy that rippled out from Rhoas, and connected with a full force Facade upon Rhoas's little body.

Charon: -6E/-6H ==///== Rhoas: -6E/-12H

As both Pokemon fell to the ground, Rhoas was able to stretch one hand out, performing a split kick that flung Charon over on the sand, lightly hit by the nearby waves. Charon lied there, unamused by the fact that he was knocked out. Rhoas sighed, glad he could relax, but whom was next...?

The sea roars ad Charon is removed from its shores, and replaced with another ethereal being. However, this time, its a widdle Ralts! Galahad looks at the Elekid from his fishbowl haircut, and hugs himself.

A twinkling of light falls around Galahad, as Rhoas just watches. Did that thing just like, hug itself?

Galahad: -5E ==///== Rhoas: +6E
Safeguard: Two rounds

Well, since Rhoas seemed to be of the peaceful sort, Galahad began to Calm down. Yeah, he was a little apprehensive....but as his Mind started to peak, a sharp hit knocked Galahad to the floor. Upset over that, sand flew aback as Galahad levitated to his feet, Rhoas happy about his Quick Attack. He wasn't completely calm, but ala seemed satisfied with what was accomplished.

Galahad: -3E/-3H Sp Atk +1 ==///== Rhoas: -3E

Sensing that the little guy might have more power than he can see, Rhoas decided to try and steal a little of that. Walking over toward the cliffside, Rhoas whistled, while picking up a rock nonchalantly. Unsure if some sort of attack was going to come, Galahad one hand toward the wily Elekid, and blasted invisible waves forward. Rhoas was caught off guard and crossed his arms as the sands swirled around him.

Within the vortex, Rhoas felt a stinging sensation rip through his body. When the sensation ended, and the sands fell, Rhoas found himself standing right next to Galahad. A quick bump as Rhoas ran away, and he wound up performing a Thief on a pocketless Pokemon.

((Yeah..Thief's kinda hard XD.))

Rhoas-feeling the changes to his mind, tries them out by holding up his arms and waving them around him. His Mind Calms, and--then suddenly feels enraged again. Sensing a dark energy afoot, he opens his eyes, seeing his calming energy being siphoned over to Galahad!

Upset over losing his cool- A nasty Discharge of electricity was swiftly sent Galahad's way, throwing the Pokemon close to the cliffs. Rhoas pondered the meaning of this, until a massive glowing fist bashed into his gut almost instantly, as Galahad phased over to connect his Focus Punch. Rhoas fell over in pain, stunned from the blow.

Galahad: -10E/-7H ==///== Rhoas: -6E/-11H

As the glare still stings in Galahad's eyes, Rhoas takes a moment to sit on a rock and relax. He watches Galahad idly, as the little psychic rubs his face over and over, trying to remove the wily dots....

All of a sudden, a Shadowball goes Whizzing up high, toward the top of the cliff! Galahad seems to think Rhoas is up there, as absurd as it may seem...

A sliver of sight comes to Gala, giving him a moments peace. He can see...yellow. Oh great they're on a friggin' beach-tan-yellow sand EVERYWHERE!

Rhoas dosen't feel sorry for the psychic one bit, and calls upon a Secret Power of his to slam into Galahad's back. The little one falls over, and turns around..a few times in confusion. But the spinning was actually helpful, as leaves began to spin out and around the area, before all curiving back and striking Rhoas.

With both Pokemon done with their reprieve, Rhoas looked over nonchalantly. Galahad still had the problem of deciphering whom was the real one! Taking a psychic change, the Galahad crew converged on the second closest clone and managed to Cross Chop it---watching it evaporate. Galahad did so, calling upon the leaves that left such a scarring mark on Rhoas before. As they began to whip about under Magical incantation from Galahad. Rhoas kept his arms outstretched, a translucent barrier protecting him from those dastardly Leaves. The clones however, evaporated.

Galahad: -7E ==///== Rhoas: -7E

As the leaves died down, Rhoas lowered his guard, and tried to relax...as Galahad came running at him. No attempt was made to block, as Galahad's fist shone with a fiery brilliance, that rang out in a Dynamic flurry.

and missed! Rhoas watched the fist shoot past his face, as Galahad still didn't have his aim quite down yet.

Galahad: -6E ==///== Rhoas: -.- luck

That little thing had to be put down now. Calling upon the roar of Thunder, Rhoas idly raised one hand, and...let it fall once more. He was still winded, and there was not much he could do against Gala and his incoming Punch. Rolling backwards, Rhoas idly wondered if he could strike that blasted thing once more.

The Light Screen faded.

Galahad: -6E ==///== Rhoas: -8H

The storm clouds once again came over the edge of the ocean, battering winds pushing against those weakened cliffsides. Torrential downpour seemed imminent, but Galahad would not let the Thunder bother her. As hard as they could Both Pokemon threw out their attacks. Thunder raining down for Galahad, and Leaves searing their way for Rhoas. The Thunder crashed with such power that a small epicenter of glass shards flew up from the area where Galahad was blasted from

The leaves though, made their mark, as Rhoas finally fell over-exhausted.

Well now, within the twentieth round on this beach, Mystic released his final battler, The Fool! Running upon the sand, the stout mime glares at his equally small and equally mentally proficient opponent, who's pretty winded.

Both then...kinda walk toward each other, trying to oust the other with mystical energies. Galahad snaps his fingers over his head, and a thin veil of light begins to envelop him. Fool shrugs, and waves his arms gyroscopically around him. Energy collapsed onto him, Calming his Mind.

The Safeguard fell around Galahad, finishing their first veil off.

===Round 21===

Galahad still needs a moment to think his situation through, but that thought comes after the fact that Fool is giving no quarter. A nice and nasty Shadowball rages through the air, ripping through Gala's defenses

Galahad: -14H ==///== Fool: -8E

With that, Gala crawled to his feet, and ferociously charged up his own ghostly sphere. Unafraid, the team of Fools began to consume their resources, and expunge them in a enveloping Shock Wave that threw Gala off his feet. One clone was lost due to the energy needed.

Gala's Shadowball still flew strong, and nailed a clone right in the face, sending it sailing. Fool laughed, knowing his chances were still in his favor.

Galahad: -8E/-6H ==///== Fool: -6E

Gala didn't like this danged Mime and its pantomiming all over the place. So, with all the focus is could muster, a second Shadowball was created.

Similarly, another blast of electrical energy was Charged on Fools end, and the duo fired their electrical Beams at the same. Galahad quickly chose a target, and watched as his Shadowball flew OVER the clone! Galahad flew backwards from the shock of the attack he received, and lied on the ground, panting again.

Galahad looked on over at Fool, whom was quietly playing with sand, staring at the intricacies of cubic isometric covalent bonding. Unsure what was so interesting about the dirt, Gala cut his losses and created 2 clones, absolving him of any more energy to fight with.

Unknown to Gala, the little mime was peering into the Future, where he saw water and a mass of dirt flying up- and a strange Pokemon flying past his face...

Snapping out of his trance, Fool snickered, joyous over the Sight from the future.

Galahad: -4E ==///== Fool: -8E

Now.. Fool looked over at his three opponents, trying to decipher which one was real by their breathing. But it was hard to tell. So, Fool just Calmed down, allowing his mind to devise a better way to deal with this.

Gala had no chance to mounter a defense, as a sudden (and very powerful) Shock Wave rippled through the area, throwing him and his clones flying backwards. Landing on the sandy shore, Gala spat some of the quartz out of his mouth, and glared. That Mime was done for.

A cackle began off, as Fool began to wander about, seemingly gathering up bits of energy from around his general area. Scared as to the possibility of these Hidden glowing spheres were, Galahad, flung a massive Shadowball directly at the Fool in front of him. It connected, and fizzled away, enraging the Psychic once more.

Fool watched his clone evaporate, and looked to his last one. They both simultaneously flung their Hidden Powers out to Gala, striking him back. Didn't really seem to do much though-aside from the fact it felt like a sack of bricks hit him.

Galahad: -6E/-7H ==///== Fool: -5E

Satisfied, Fool sat down on the sand, watching as Gala stood up once again. Gala flung all it had into this following Shadowball, watching it tear across the sandy landscape--and connect! Fool went flying backwards, the other clone disappearing. Fool lied down after this hit, partially relaxing from the pain

Galahad: -7E ==///== Fool: -15H/+3E

Weakened, Gala channeled his reserves, and forced a scarily spirit-indulged ball up for the third time, this one as potent as the last. Fool looked up, and quickly forced his body to expel a thick series of Shock Waves. The Waves struck Galahad low, but the Shadowball flew high, smacking Fool upside the head.

===Round 28===

Fool takes another moment to enjoy the sandy beach, as Crystal runs about, giving her a multiple set of assistance in this battle. With each Pokemon so low on health, its amazing Crystal has so much energy.

Now, four Crystal's stare their opponent down, surrounding him partially. Fool just..builds a sand castle!

Crystal: -3E ==///== Fool: +6E

Unsure about his incoming fate, Fool decides to strike first. That bluer one on the left seemed promising, and so Fool raised his arms. Crystal and co took a half-step back, but reversed direction when they saw the pane of Light meld down around Fool. Screened for now, Crystal snapped her jaws and raised her small barbs. A spark, then a jolt, and finally a ShockWave was produced, sending joules of energy toward Fool. The Screen held, buffering against that hit.

Crystal: -6E ==///== Fool: -4E/-1H

Displeased with the minimal damage dealt to Fool, Crystal tried again, this time commanding a larger voltage to rain down on Fool. However, as she built up the Charge, Fool waved his hands, releasing that Tremendous Psychic energy he could wield. Instantly, the yellow energy went from offensive to defensive, a Protective shielding covering Crystal and Co. However, the strain was very cumbersome, and she lost two clones in the process.

Crystal: -10E ==///== Fool: -8E

Fool spat over to the side, and Crystal just lost 50% of her odds.

Psn: 3%rd

Let's finish this, Crystal.

Use Protect to avoid the Confusion.

Once that passes, he's a sitting duck. Rush him and use Crunch twice.

===Round 29===

With two targets to choose from and so little energy, Fool makes a last ditch effort to try and bring Crystal to her knees. Unfortunately, as the waves of Confusion pass through the area, Crystal and her clone merely Protect! Using that type of energy makes the clone fade away, but it doesn't matter, as Fool is spent.

Crystal: -9E ==///== Fool: -6E

Stuck like a duck, Fool backs away as Crystal bares her rodent fangs. Beginning to run, Fool trips, and is subsequently bitten on his left ankle by Crystal. The Crunch was painful!

Crystal: -8E ==///== Fool: -14H

Delirious from the pain, Fool is quietly put out of his misery with a second Crunch.

Crystal: -8E ==///== Fool: -14H

Smirking, Crystal stares at the prone Fool.
