Wii connection issue...

Hi y'all. Was out at a friend's place with my Wii, and wanted to use it online. So I plugged in their USB adaptor, set it up as connection #2 and it's all good.
Today, I've come home and tried to return to connection #1 (my wireless connection) and it's spouting some crap about how it can't connect to the Internet (error code 52130). Any help?

Alright, never mind. It's going now. In my infinite wisdom and affinity to reset things when they're not working, I just turned off the power to my router, then turned it back on and ran another connection test from my Wii. Bing, working.

Just so I know though, would the reset have actually done anything to help (or anything potentially damaging), or was it just being bitchy and the reset had nothing to do with it?

Resetting your router wouldn't do anything damaging. Like it seemed to do for you it fixes problems more often than not. Whenever my Mother's laptop isn't getting wireless signal we reset it and it normally fixes the problem.
