INTRODUCTION
"There it is! The power nucleus!" shouted Vincent, excitedly pointing toward the bluish, pulsating machine in the center of the cavernous room. He and Bear ran over to the structure, examining it quickly with their power gauge.
"This must be it, look at the readings. Vincent, place the explosives!" Bear ordered, sharply. Vincent nodded and began to place the powerful charges at the key intervals around the nucleus. As the din of the fighting in the palace got louder, Vincent paused and looked at Bear, concerned.
"Think the rest of them are ok?" He commented.
"Of course they are. I trained them, after all!" Bear replied with a smirk.
As Vincent finished placing the charges, Bear consulted his map.
"The main support beam for the palace runs through that corridor there. If we follow it, we should come out right at the side entrance. If Kat followed instructions, that's where the ship will be waiting for us." Bear said as he pointed to the small doorway on the east side of the room. "Let's go."
The two of them took off in a swift jog, exiting the room and passing through the much smaller and narrower beam corridor. They could hear the fight intensifying within the palace, which must have meant the last of the incursion team were making their way out. They didn't get too far, however, when they heard a peculiar sounding explosion, followed by lots of shouting. Suddenly, a huge crack appeared in the ceiling above them, and the palace support beam began to fall. Bear had just enough time to reach up and brace the impact of the beam, holding it up but being rendered unable to move. Every muscle in his body bulged as he strained to support the massive beam. He looked over at Vincent, and an odd smile crossed his face.
"What are you standing around for? Get back to the ship." He said to Vincent.
"What the hell are you talking about? You need to come too!" Vincent exclaimed, confused.
"Think about it Vince. If I let go of this beam, the whole place comes crashing down. How am I supposed to get out of here?" Bear replied. Vincent's look of confusion turned to bewilderment and anxiety.
"But boss! How am I supposed to just LEAVE you here? You're the most important member of this group! You CREATED us for God's sake! We NEED you!" He said, his voice growing into an upset shout.
"Not true Vince. I've given you all everything that you need. The most important member of the group is no one person, but the group itself. Remember that. This is an order! Now GO!" Bear replied once more, becoming serious and giving Vincent a stern look. Vincent reluctantly nodded, and proceeded to execute his last order. He took off running down the corridor as fast as he could.
As Bear stood there, muscles bulging, bracing the support beam, he looked up at his timer.
"One more minute til this place blows. He better get them in the air fast." Bear said to himself, gazing upward in final resignation.
Meanwhile, Vincent burst out of the side doors of the palace, spotting the ship hovering just across the lawn. He ran across it, jumping through the hatch as it opened for him. He tumbled onto the ship and made his way to the bridge as quickly as he could. As he entered the control room, he saw the rest of the incursion team standing there, perplexed.
"Where is my husband?!" Kat said firmly, stepping forward. Vincent frowned, and shrugged his shoulders.
"...He ordered me to go without him. The beam fell on him and he couldn't move. I...I didn't want to go but....but..." Vincent froze, collapsing into a chair and burying his face in his hands. As Kat fought to hold back her tears, she broke into a frenzy of orders.
"Alright, we have to get out of here. Kent man the rear guns. Vincent you head down to the infirmary and speak with Dr. Walls. Scent run the shield check. Mop get us in the air NOW!" She belted. The crewmembers scurried to their positions, and within seconds the ship was moving.
"20 seconds..." Bear muttered to himself. His head swiftly turned to the right, as he heard voices and shouting coming down the hallway. Several soldiers burst into the small clearing, pointing their weapons at Bear. He grinned at them, looking at his timer one last time.
"Time's up."
With a shout, Bear brought the beam down with all his might, crashing it violently into the floor. Just as the charges in the nucleus room began to explode, the palace began to cave in on itself everywhere. Explosions rang out all around, sounding like the fourth of july.
The rest of the Normals crew, safely aboard their ship and away, looked back down at the exploding and collapsing building, still in shock at what had just transpired. There was eerie silence throughout the cabins and hallways of the ship. Even communication between the officers on the bridge was short, quiet, and monotone. Nobody aboard the Solomon understood or could fathom what happened. The silence continued for the entire trip back to Earth, some 18 hours....
PLOT
The year is 2057. 20 years after the end of World War III, the last of the affected nations has completed their rebuilding. The United Nations, under the guidance of Director Falczyk Moebius, has maintained almost complete peace since the end of the earth-shattering conflict. It seems as though humankind has finally discovered the key to living in harmony and mutual prosperity.
The Normals, no longer needed for major missions on Earth, had accepted a plea from the Awana people of the planet Zech. Being oppressed by the viciously aggressive Placts, the Awana were on the brink of total extermination. The Normals, led by co-founder and creator Xavier "Bear" Lionheart, were dispatched to the planet to liberate the Awana and bring down the tyrannical Plact government. All went according to plan, until the final minutes of the final phase of the operation, where Bear was lost amid the destruction of the Plact palace and center of Plact government. The Awana could now regain their freedom and prosperity, but the Normals returned home to cope with a terrible loss. Back on Earth, the Normals try to get back to life as it was before the mission, despite the difficult task of selecting a new leader. However, as is the nature of all things, the peace on Earth was too good to be true. When so many people are blessed with such abilities, it is impossible to expect that they will all get along. Sometimes this tension can grow beyond simple disagreement, and can lead to separation or even revolt. Trouble was brewing, and soon the world would once again be plunged into darkness....
EXPLANATION
The Normals are an elite fighting force. The group was created in 2031, in the midst of World War III, by Doctor Falczyk Moebius, who is currently the Director of the United Nations. Then 64, Dr. Moebius had heard rumors of people with special birth abnormalities, or "gifts". These gifts were said to afford them abilities beyond a human's normal capacity. Dr. Moebius stumbled upon Xavier Lionheart at a forbidden Martial Arts tournament in a small Japanese town. At the time, all Martial Arts practice had been strictly forbidden by the NNN (Neo Noose Nationalists) who had conquered Japan and most of East Asia. Anyone found in violation of this edict was punishable by death, so tournaments had to be held in secret. At this particular tournament, Lionheart, a Scotsman, had advanced to the final round. Before the tournament had been completed, however, the NNN forces converged on the tournament, opening fire and beginning to slaughter the participants and spectators. Lionheart, confused and bewildered, found a place to hide amongst some storage boxes. He shielded his eyes and ears as best he could from the screams and sights of everyone dying. After the forces had finished and begun to pull out, he waited for his chance to escape. As he looked around for remaining guards, he heard the click of a gun behind him. Feeling his death approaching him, he clenched his eyes and teeth and braced for it. Suddenly he heard the man behind him begin to exclaim and swear in some foreign language, obviously surprised at something. He turned to face him, and the man was frantically looking around, as if he couldn't see Lionheart at all. Without thinking, Lionheart took advantage of the situation and thrust his palm to the man's forehead, immediately knocking him unconscious. Still not sure what had happened, Lionheart just stood there for several minutes. He was awoken from his daze by a voice behind him.
"So it's true. They do exist." The voice said. Lionheart whirled around to see an older looking man.
"What do you mean?" He said, still confused.
"I'll just say it. You're invisible right now." The voice said directly.
"..." Lionheart could not muster any words.
"It's alright, do not be alarmed. Let me introduce myself. My name is Dr. Falczyk Moebius. You are...Xavier Lionheart, correct?"
"Most people call me Bear." Lionheart said, forgetting for a moment that he was puzzled.
"How do you know who I am?" Bear continued.
"It's a long story, I'll tell you when we are somewhere safe..." Moebius concluded, motioning for the now visible Bear to follow him.
After explaining to Bear that his ability was a genetic anomaly and he would be able to control it in time, the two set out to find others with similar defects. After a year, a total of 18 people had been found and joined the cause. Dr Moebius' vision was to use his group of fighters to undermine the ruthless NNN government, and help the UN forces to regain control and peace on the planet. His mission was ultimately successful, bringing an end to the War finally in 2037. After that, the Normals continued to grow under the guidance of Dr Moebius and Bear, and became a widely popular police force. Bear married fellow original member Kat Byquest, and their son Cam (nicknamed Sonar) also became a member of the Normals. This brings us to the current day, and the beginning of this RPG.

As players, you will be assuming the role of one of a few kinds of people. You can play the role of a good Normal, a bad Normal, or a regular human with no Normals-type abilities. Now finally, onto the FORM!
