Magnemite's Ability

Magnet Pull - Steel types cannot run nor switch.
Sturdy - One-Hit KO moves does not have effect.

Question: Which one is better?

I would go with magnet pull because the chances of OHKO moves actually hitting you aren't too good. Besides pokemon that learn those moves are either pokemon you can KO easily, or pokemon that Magnemite/Magneton shouldn't be fighting anyway, i.e. ground types.

I say sturdy what kind of attack would a magnemite use against a steel type plus many steel types know EQ

Shuckler, you're right about the EQ, but magnemite can use electric attacks on them as they're not immune and usually have low sp. defense vs. magnemite's good sp. attack.

Maybe a magneton or a mawile you could overcome but would any one with an Aggron or Stellix run from a Magneton???

id say go magnet pull, OHKO moves have a 30% chance of hitting you, wich is a good percentage considdering... :\ well you cant recover from that, or endure it... but you can counter'em for an ohko on the opp. anyways, magnet pull would be good against a skarmory... thunderwave, thunderbolt, return, reflect, would own skarmories... easily, thats like death for a skarmory right there 100%... :D

Manemite/Magneton got screwed because they should rightly have Levitate. How does this pokemon move? by flying; he doesn't roll wherever he goes. I think gamefreak droped the ball here :yes:

Magnet pull has one use and one use only, and that is to kill Skarmory. However, I doubt that Skarm will be as nearly common in RS as in GSC, so I prefer sturdy. Neither trait is anything special though.

i agree, but giving'em levitate would be mean... altho he should rightfully have it... and i personally dont think skarms going anywhere
