Apparently it is finally going to happen everyone, 3D Realms is rumored to be shutting down, and with it, most likely the last hope for Duke Nukem Forever to come out. The epic was 12 years in making, and it will never see the light of day. I guess it is true, we are all not worthy of it's greatness.

To morn the passing of Duke Nukem Forever, here is I believe the first trailer.

Maybe some other company will buy the rights on the game and actually develop and release it.

BLASPHEMY

But yeah. Not like I would've actually played it, but it was a great talking point.

No need for another company to buy the rights. From the sounds of it Take 2 has the rights.

Edit: P.S. I refuse to believe this game isn't coming out! :(

3D Realms? They were associated with Apogee Software, right?

I used to occasionally play a couple of their classic games from the 90's, not just the first two Duke Nukem games, but also Hocus Pocus and Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure. Nonetheless, it's sad 3D Realms is shutting down.
