*gasps* Classy's making a thread in Misc!

This is about the most addictive, catchy songs that you've heard. They may not be your favorite. Hell, they could be the most annoying, nail-scraping tunes ever. But they'll attach themselves to your memories and start playing themselves like a broken record.

Like the Spongebob Squarepants theme. And those songs for freecreditreport.com.

I am the very model of a modern Major-General
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical

I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse

With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotepotenuse

I'm very good at integral and differential calculus
I know the scientific names of beings animalculous
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
I am the very model of a modern Major-General

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
He is the very model of a modern Major-General

I know our mythic history, King Arthur's and Sir Caradoc's
I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox
I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus
In conics I can floor peculiarities parabolous

I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Dows and Zoffanies
I know the croaking chorus from the Frogs of Aristophanes
Then I can hum a fugue of which I've heard the music's din afore
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore

And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinapinafore

Then I can write a washing bill in Babylonic cuneiform
And tell you ev'ry detail of Caractacus's uniform
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
I am the very model of a modern Major-General

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
He is the very model of a modern Major-General

In fact, when I know what is meant by "mamelon" and "ravelin"
When I can tell at sight a Mauser rifle from a javelin
When such affairs as sorties and surprises I'm more wary at
And when I know precisely what is meant by "commissariat"

When I have learnt what progress has been made in modern gunnery
When I know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery
In short, when I've a smattering of elemental strategy
You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a gee

You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a gee
You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a gee
You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a sat a gee

For my military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury
Has only been brought down to the beginning of the century
But still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
I am the very model of a modern Major-General

But still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
He is the very model of a modern Major-General

Fast songs are addictive. I force myself to learn them so I can sing them as fast as possible. Other favorites of mine that get lodged in my head for days at a time include Yakko's World, Lehrer's element song, and Queen's Don't Stop Me Now... I know, it's not fast, but Goddamn is it catchy.

Pretty Women from Sweeney Todd. I quite like that song, and the fact that it's rather short means that every time it pops in my head I'm liable to just go through the whole thing. Without knowing it, I probably sung it around four times today at work.

"Tennessee Song, Part 2" by 1997 will inevitably be a song that you HAVE to listen to over and over. To the point where I just put some of its lyrics in my signature! Arthi Meera has a pure, clean voice, but I'm sure my roommates are sick of hearing her.

Clicky! (http://www.myspace.com/nineteenninetyseven)

Also, "Plays Pretty for Baby" by Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer (back when Anthony Green was in the band) is just way too damn catchy for its own good! I mean, just mix all that Anthony goodness in with Rachel from Zolof (you MIGHT know of her as the chick in the "she has a girlfriend now" from that reel big fish song, but seriously, Zolof is awesome)....

it's here! (http://www.myspace.com/zoloftherockandrolldestroyer)

I can confirm this.....she's got this tendency to listen/sing the same damn song 50 times in a row!

In any case as always I've got Linkin Park stuck in my head. New Divide is an absolutely awesome new song that makes me wish I had tickets to see them live again. Also in lieu of recent events I've been listening to a ton of MJ lately either on the radio or TV. Actually making me wonder what the fuck ever happened to my copy of History. And it was the original two disc version which I believe to be the end all of MJ's albums. If you absolutely love the guy's music find a copy of the two disc version since it had a greatest hits disc and the new CD in one pack and then just download an MP3 of You Rock My World from iTunes. You'd never have to buy another MJ CD again unless you really wanted the 25th anniversary edition of Thriller ^_~

Any song by a Finnish artist Kaija Koo. (http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=930645EEBF543DE6&search_query=Kaija+koo)

I hate the tone of the voice and I hate the lyrics. Annoying, annoying, annoying, extremely annoying!
