Ok, what the heck.....

I was fighting rayqaza and I got him to burn all his moves. Thinking I was in the clear, I put out shedinja to false swipe him to death (so to speak). ..................and struggle hits. Now correct me if im wrong, aint struggle a normal move? How is a normal move super effective against shed?!? Argh!!, so yea, anyway, what the heck?

I did half an hour later but thats not the point. How can a normal attack hit shedinja?

I haven't a solid idea. Perhaps cuz 'Struggle' is a last resort, it *must* hit anything with normal accuracy and effect.

Struggle is not normal. It's type-less. Since it has no type, it bipasses any sort of resistance. I.e Struggling a Ghost-type.
