I know it wasn't what he was famous for, but he's doing the Mario in Heaven now... Goodbye, Captain Lou. And goodbye to a small piece of my childhood.

Read about this on a wrestling news website today. Never really seen him in the WWF, but I will make sure to Do the Mario in his honour. Rest In Peace.

Edit: I guess I've already done the Mario with my signature. Very well, moving on!

Lou Albano is old school wrestling. Me misses that period. This WWE-TNA crap is pathetic.

I knew Captain Lou Albano did have a wrestling career, but the way I'll always remember him best was when he played Mario in the SMBSS. Most doubtly, the first voice actor to play a video game character, am I right or wrong?

RIP.

Oh no, one of the most famous wrestling managers and rock 'n wrestling legend has passed away. Really a shame. I'll always remember his appearances in Cyndi Lauper's music videos (Goonies 'R Good Enough; Girls Just Wanna Have Fun; She Bop) as well as the SMB Super Show. First the Grand Wizard of Wrestling, then Classie Fred Blassie ... with Albano the last one of this legendary WWF manager trio has left us. I'll miss the Captain!

Nope, there had been a Donkey Kong cartoon show before the SMBSS.

Anyhow, this sucks. Cap'n Lou reminds me of a golden time of wrestling before my time, as well as years of doing the Mario. R.I.P. you big old lump of sunshine!

Hmm, the only Donkey Kong TV series I recall was Donkey Kong Country, but that came a few years after SMBSS.

But that's not the one you're talking about, is it DragoKnight?

No, I don't mean Country... I mean... Donkey Kong (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HffzM9vGYpU) of the Saturday Supercade. And as far as really old video game cartoon series go, the Pac-man animated cartoon precedes even that.
