...was awesome and you should all go see it if you haven't.
Don't even wait for the DVD, it won't feel the same unless you have a big flat-screen TV. The only people I know who hated it are those who downloaded/pirated it. And that's no surprise.

The website you had to sign up for to demand it come to your area was an advertising gimmick that send spam emails.
The movie looks interesting, but it'd be nice to have a trailer that didn't include audience reactions to get a better feel.

I liked it. I'm sorry but I still laughed.
Still if yer really a religious person, you may not enjoy it so much.

If you saw it you'd understand why the trailer did that. My theater was going nuts. Also it's kind of hard to make a trailer for that movie really, with actual footage from it. You'll see what I mean... there's only so much that could have a trailer made out of it.

I don't like being shown how to react.

What exactly IS this movie? Obviously it's another scary movie, but what kind of scary is it?

Think Blair Witch Project with better acting and alot scarier stuff. From everything I heard it is the scary movie to see. Also for those that have seen it, Aint it Cool News has the alternate ending to it.

Think Blair Witch Project only I'd actually want to see it.

I saw it. Thought it was okay. Was a bit amused that i noticed a few of the things happening before the rest of the people in the theater did (namely the powder scene)...

It was alright, but it's no Saw VI. Even though it beat it in the box office.
I am not even kidding here.

So it's another shakyvision movie, then?

Yeah, exactly. I remember you said you liked Cloverfield though... well I found this to be far better.
Especially if you like movies that are more linear, which this is. It's another shaky-vision movie, with less people and a more enclosed setting. Cloverfield was mostly action, here there's a lot of spooky tension.
But I won't say anymore, don't want to spoil too much.

i thought it was a comedy more than a horror film.

LOL, what difference does it make? The ending may be different, but it doesn't hide the fact that the entire first hour and a half of the movie was boring and lacked any suspense or elements. OH MY GOD A DOOR OPENING BY ITSELF! MYSTERIOUS WHITE POWDER ON THE FLOOR! This is the worst "horror" movie I've seen in years. I was really excited to see this film because everyone I knew was heralding it as a film that would really amplify my insomnia.
Don't tell me that I just don't 'get it'. The couple had absolutely no chemistry, the acting was wooden, and anything that was supposed to be remotely 'terrifying' made me laugh. This is all the same rehashed garbage done in last ten years of horror films.
Maybe if they spent more than a week filming it, it might have turned out better.

Not that I would expect you to think deep after reading that post, but I'll just be honest and say that half the entertainment I got out of watching it was the rest of the theater's reaction. For once it entertained me more than annoyed me. The tagline "don't see it alone" is probably also because you can, albeit discreetly, talk to your friends during certain parts of the movie without pissing off the person in the seat in front of you. The only thing that got on my nerves was this girl in front of us who was moaning really loud during certain parts.
Of course that's not the only reason, it's also quality. If it was a DVD rip it might be more enjoyable, but if there's any movie I wouldn't wanna watch in shitty bootleg quality it would be one of these.
And like woz said, comedy factor.

I like how kiyone can insult Supermods and not be punished. Yet when certain Mods get their feathers ruffled over nothing, there's always Hell to pay.
Saw PA the other night. Gotta say, the audience reactions DID kind of amuse; the movie itself was no Cloverfield, though. Why did you lie to me Zak? :(

You best beleive I'll berate anyone who doesn't like SAW. I havn't seen the new one, but I wait until they come out on DVD anyway ^w^ I like to watch movies in my house. And outside.
I dun wanna read stuff, in case it spoils this movie. I kinda wanna see it....But I'll hold my money for "The Men who Stare at Goats" and wait until this comes out on DVD as well ^W^

Apparently due to the popularity of Paranormal Activity the creators of The Blair Witch Project have also expressed interest in doing Blair Witch 3... yeah.

Oh hell no .O. They better stop it.
The first one was pure gold. They keep damping it with sequals.
