Work is ok, how do you like your job? Fun, boring, work with people you hate, etc?

Well, work is okay. At first I wasn't too fond of it but after doing the same job for ten years I've gotten a lot of experience so I can handle difficult situations easily as well. So all's fine. It pays well too. Only the travel time (2.5 hours a day) is a downside.

I'm a procurement specialist for drilling related material and services by the way.

I really hate my job. It's boring, I don't particularly like anyone and no one appreciates hard work, you have to make a scene if you want to get noticed.
The only plus side is 6 weeks holiday once I get my real contract.

I'm unemployed and stay home playing video games all day. :D

Used to work at a Walgreens, it sucks. Trying to see if I can maybe I can get a job at the college, your hours are based around your schedule and they aren't long which good.

I do many things..... work is one of them

I sell coffee to grumpy business men in an industrial area. They love me for it :D Coffee is their drug and I am their dealer.

I also work for a small Anglican media company, doing journalism stuff. That's one day a week and currently its free (part of my internship) but I hope one day that it's not.

I work in retail, hate what I do at work, which is just folding little kids clothes and cleaning out fitting rooms all day..but I love the people I work with, and the managers are awesome, and I get paid pretty well for what I do (which is basically..nothing)

I hate the christmas season though. It makes me want to quit every single year

You mean you don't enjoy serving pretentious people who think they're better than you because you work in retail?

:(

haha no I hate those people. I hate all customers actually, I think the only reason I'm staying is because of co workers and the fact I get benefits.

Work, to me, is cool. You get customers cracking jokes, and the environment is nowhere near as stressful as it was when I worked in a home improvement store.

I work in retail too. I've been at this particular store for less than 3 months and my boss basically told me the other day that she wants me to become a supervisor, but it was "a shame" because I'm only part time due to school and you have to be full time to be a supervisor. The most I can consider about that is that it was a compliment, though.

It'd be nice, considering I've worked for the company for over 4 years and have accumulated a lot of raises, then when I switched towns to this store I started back at the starting rate. That I was making in 2005. Which was $2 more than minimum wage then. And is exactly minimum wage now. So basically I had my pay cut by like $3+/hr for switching. LAME. So I'm sure supervisors get paid better than that.

The store manager said he emailed corporate to try to get them to approve bumping me back to the rate I was, but there's been no response and it's been a couple months. Fucking bureaucrats.

I work at a museum. =^^=
What kind? What do you do there? I'm going for my masters in museum studies soon, it's a pretty awesome field. :) My paleo prof today told me the Smithsonian is apparently looking for a collections manager. HA. Yes, because I'm sure they're taking applications from clueless undergrads for that. LOL.

Jay, I remember you from way back when! Those were the good old days here, and being a cop is probably one of the most stressful and demanding jobs out there as cops are never home to be with their wives.

I work in a grocery store. My actual job actually differs from day to day, and I rarely work in the same place twice in a row. Some days I work in the cash office balancing all the moneys (which ain't too shabby). Other days I work on the line and coordinate (or, if you'd prefer -- babysit) several whiny cashiers and baggers. No, you dicks, you cannot go home early.

I guess it pays well enough.

What do the young cashiers do, Greyfox? Do they say "I don't feel good, i want to go home?"

I do enjoy it, and at the same time, I don't.

I work for an ICT company that serves the electric company. We,calculate your bills, but you sue them, lol.

It's not too shabby. A desk with air-co, free candy in the kitchen almost every week (we're a big company, so everyone is always having babies or birthdays)... Only, I'm one of those people who can't stick with 9-to-5, you know? The kind that stresses themselves up, trying to please their queer little perfectionist fetishes.
But, you know, I learn something new every day.

Also, I know where you live.
