Pokemon Avengers: The Race Against Extinction V-1.0!!!
Created By: Quicksilver62160

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

Introductions: Welcome to Avenger’s Mansion, home of the Pokemon Avengers! This is our main base, located in New York City near Central Park; from here we branch across the World to fight the extinction of Pokemon. Thanks to the original members we have been able to advance our technology, create new bases, and recruit more Avengers allowing us to better track patterns in Pokemon locations. We were originally created to prevent the Poachers from reeking havoc upon the pokemon world, but since earlier developments the poachers have joined the Avenger team to save the pokemon… and to take on a much greater evil.

Not much is known of this mysterious new group, only that they are known as the Shadow Stalkers. These minions are extremely powerful elemental spirits and have powers we’ve never faced before. In the span of a few years these Shadow Stalkers have driven all evolved Pokemon into extinction or hiding. Even the once great Legendary Pokemon seem to have ceased to exist and the last known wild Dratinin family have vanished. Now we can only find Basic Pokemon in the field, with few First Evolution Pokemon whom have narrowly escape the Shadow Stalker’s grasp.

This is where you come in, I've hired you to go out there and capture Pokemon! You must travel to the different Continents, and zones to search for the Pokemon species there! You will be given ample equipment and supplies to get you through the various worlds. The Shadow Stalkers are constantly attacking Avengers however, so be on your guard, and prepare to run if you come across any of them. Your modes of transport are set, the world is open for you to travel… good luck my new Avenger, and safe travels.

Rules:

1) Posting is like the Original Game, you may make up to five moves per turn.

< Quote the last ref response for only you, do not quote the entire post >
Pokemon Found/Continent/Area#/Equipment Left/Action
Bag Contents: Any items you hold

Lets say I have 1 Pokeball left, and am in North America, Region 1 fighting a Larvitar and I feed it, I'd type this:

< You have discovered a Larvitar, what would you like to do? >
Larvitar/North America/1/1-0/Feed
Bag Contents: Pokedoll, Some berries, NA Key, SA Key

Equipment: 5-5, Five Pokeballs, 5 Special Balls (2X Super Balls, 2X Hyper Balls, and an Avengerball), every time you use either, change the number . (Note: Avengerballs have a chance to be a Pokeball, Super Ball, Hyper Ball, Masterball, or to not work at all).

2) Pokemon in the wild are encountered randomly and will have random levels assigned upon capture. All captured Pokemon will know the first moves in the Pokedex to that level. You will now have a chance to encounter 3 Pokemon at a time. You can ONLY find BASIC Pokemon, the only First Evolution available will be- Kadabra and Gyarados.

3) Do not hint or ask for Pokemon, that is not allowed, also, you CAN’T capture Dragonite Family, Legendaries, or higher evolutions in this game.

4) These ARE Captured Pokemon and you may only have 15 Pokemon from all Capture Centers, so choose wisely. If you run out of Pokeballs, then you can get a fresh supply a day later.

5) You can only run five times before you run out of runs and lose a Pokeball. Your five count of runs renews itself though, everytime you go after a Pokemon or you switch areas.

6) If you get any of the new Pokedolls from Temple Of Knowledge (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991) you can now bring them here and use them to aid in capturing Pokemon.

7) Before traveling to a continent you must earn that Continental Key. These may be found at XX. You may also win various other keys that have hidden powers. Though you will not know what they do, when you are in the right area they will activate and unlock hidden mysteries of an ancient power left to preserve the Earth.

8) Ancient Glyphs are powerful items that will unlock secret mysteries as you travel through the Avenger worlds. Match the element type or physical type with an areas most common type and you will soon find something you had never expected. These will be randomly available by unknown means.

9) Once you have reached your limit you can choose to explore the Avenger world. This will give you special access to Avenger secrets.

10) At the start of the game you will be in your own house and will need to earn the right to venture out into the world. Following this you may return to your house at anytime and you will be able to grow berry trees to produce more berries.

11) Contests will be randomly held for various feats in the Avenger World. You can find the current contest on: Page 1

You must choose one of these continents there and try to capture as many Pokemon as quickly as possible! Pokemon will appear in each area, and the percents are the odds of finding that type in the area.

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

Air Pidgeot- Our Flying Transport, jump aboard our massive Pidgeot, and he'll fly you to any Continent with a tremendous flap of your wings.

Teleporting Alakazam- Our Psychic Transport, call for Alakazam to get out of a perilous jam, he'll instantly Teleport you to any other Continent and region

Extremespeed Arcanine- The fastest way to travel, jump on the back of our Arcanine, and he'll run you across the Water or Land faster then you can blink.

Dugtrio Underground Railroad- Our Train Transport. Hop on these Dugtrio, and find a new meaning to Underground Railroad, as you are warped to any Continent in a second.

Lapras Liner- Our Water Transport. Jump aboard this Cruise Ship to travel in style and fashion to any of the Continent, this is the only way to travel.

Hyper Stellar Grifor- A test transport, faster then ExtremeSpeed Arcanine on the ground, and faster then Air Pidgeot in the air. When he moves time nearly stands still.

Tyranitar Ground Service- Much like ExtremeSpeed Arcanine but not as fast, Tyranitar can move over the ground quickly if the need be.

Deep Sea Swampert- Get out onto the water and dive beneath the waves for an ocean floor cruise on Deep Sea Swampert.

Altaria Cloud Dancers- For a more relaxing ride, trying passing through the sky via clouds on Altaria Cloud Dancers.

When you want to move to a new Continent, you'll type:
Continent/Area #/Transport Mode

Lets say you go to North America Eastern Woods by Extremespeed Arcanine, type:

North America/1/Extremespeed Arcanine.

Important Information:

When you capture a Pokemon, you Adopt that Pokemon; Pokemon Avengers is just like the Adoption Centers. If you want to raise your Captured Pokemon levels there are two places to go, our own Avengers Battledome (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19992) where you can write scenario based battles. If you're running low of Pokeballs, need some more CCPs, or just want some TMs for your Pokemon then check out the Temple Of Knowledge (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991) and to get Pokedolls, evolutionary items, or just more CCPs check out Goldenrod Tower.

Avenger Contest: Scenario 1

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

You may enter ONE contest from the current scenario. I will hold three contests every two weeks, they will start on Sunday, and then end on the next Saturday! The winner of these contests will be a fabulous prize on Saturday, a rare item, Avenger Pts, or more Pokeballs!

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

A) The Level Contest-

In this contest, your main objective will be to gain as many levels on as many Pokemon as possible. To start the week off, you must capture at least ONE Pokemon, he値l be like a starter, then go to the Battledome and start battling the Poachers there. You must use the Pokemon captured at least one time in battle, and then you may use another afterwards. The point of this contest is to just keep writing battles, and whoever gets the most levels from those battles overall, using as many Pokemon as they want, will win the contest!

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

B) The Capture Contest-

In this contest, your main objective will be to capture as many Pokemon as possible! Once you run out of balls though, keep on playing for fun, those Pokemon you capture may not be keepable, but they値l count towards your total of Pokemon you capture in the Contest! At the end, the person who caught the most Pokemon will end up being our winner!

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

C) Capture Scavenger Hunt-

This is an extremely difficult contest, where I値l give you 5 Pokemon Types to capture, and whoever gets them first, or comes closest to getting them all by Saturday will win the contest. I値l post the types you need to find under this, and here are the one for the first contest:

For The Hunt

1 Fire Type
1 Water/Ice Type
1 Electric Type
1 Poison/Grass Type
1 Ground Type

You must get as many of those types as possible, and if you run out of balls though, keep on playing for fun, those Pokemon you capture may not be keep able, but they値l count towards your total of Pokemon you capture in the Contest.[/color]

So to start I just pick a place? Or is there some sort of sign up?

Quicksilver62160

You don't need to signup to capture itself, you only need to sign up for the contests. You will also only get one Continental Key for free, so if you want to travel somewhere else visit the Temple of Knowledge to receive questions for more keys.

Unbraced: "Welcome to Avenger's Mansion, home of the Pokemon Avengers! I am Isilbane, leader of the Avengers. I would like to thank you for joining us in our endeavors to save the Pokemon from extinction. You have been granted an SA Continental Key for use to travel to South America. You will also find your quarters here in the Mansion anytime you need. Here is your utility belt with your pokeballs, food, rocks, and other useful tools for your journey. Please proceed to the launch bay to leave for South America."

Once you reach the Loading Bay you spot the Air Pidgeot launch center. Walking over, you jump aboard Air Pidgeot and hold on tightly. Suddenly the bay doors open and Pidgeot charges out and starts hurtling upwards with intense speed. You can feel the force of gravity trying to rip you off. Suddenly you hear a sonic blast as Pidgeot tightens his wings to his body and flashes forward like a bullet. Electrical surges begin leaping all around you when suddenly Pidgeot dives back through the clouds, plummeting toward the ground. Rocketing down in a dive, you see the ground coming up fast when Pidgeot lifts his wings and lands you the Amazon River Basin in South America. As you step off you see a lush basin filled with plant life. Following the river you search for whatever Pokemon you can find when you spot something in the distance. Climbing up the side of a tree you notice a Caterpie and sleeping beneath the tree is a nest of Exeggcute. Then, drinking from the river you notice a Heatran. Then on the other side of the river you notice an Aspear berry tree. What would you like to do?

Please read Rule #1, it explains the posting process to streamline the information so I don't need to search for it. Also, when there is an enviromental variable (berrys, gems, etc) you must choose between getting them OR the Pokemon.

That's better, but if you could Quote the post that would be much appreciated. I also have to remove the Heatran, had him in the randomizer even though he was a Legendary. In his place you have been awarded an Ancient Fire Glyph. The Glyph's mysteries are unknown as of right now, but if you match it with a majority type its secrets may be unlocked.

You wind up and launch a rock hitting several of the Exeggcute directly in their little faces. That was a mistake because they just got a lot angrier! Okay then, Keep Exploring

You set off deeper into the Amazon River Basin in South America. You hear the strange calls of Pokemon all around you but they lay deep within the brush, hidden from your site. As you scan the horizon you take a step to close to the edge of the basin and the ground crumbles beneath your feet. Next thing you know you're sliding down the bank and into the rushing waters! Struggling you grab hold of a tree root sticking out and pull yourself onto the side of the bank. Grabbing onto a large stump you pull yourself back onto the grasp and lay there to catch your breathe. Suddenly the sun is eclipsed by a large head. Sitting up you realize that it's a Troppius that you had grabbed onto, and he doesn't look happy. Backing up towards some flowers you accidently step on a Bulbasaur who jumps up and runs towards the bushes. Backing up further you look for a way out and notice a Numel sleeping on some nearby rocks right under a Figy Berry tree. What do you do?

Tropius/South America/1/5-4/Throw rock at it, then hide behind Numel

Looking around you find a path that'll lead further down the mountain and start your walk. It's not long before you notice a hot spring up ahead with a Magmar keeping it toasty warm for himself. On one of the few pieces of folliage on the mountain you notice a Weedle munching on some leaves. Then above you, you notice a Ponyta galloping around. As you take a step back to get a better view you bump into a Sitrus Berry tree.

Heading to the ground level of the launch center you stand waiting when the floor begins to open. Rising from the sub level appears Extremespeed Arcanine, prepared to take you on your journey. You jump aboard ExtremeSpeed Arcanine and prepare yourself for the launch. Suddenly Arcanine roars and blasts through the hanger doors. A vicious dust storm kicks up behind you as you flash across the ground, everything blurring around you. The wind rips at you as you hit the water sending small waves behind you. Then, you hear a sonic blast as Arcanine tears into supersonic speed. No sooner did you break the barrier when suddenly you come to a sliding stop as the ground explodes behind you and massive waves break on the shore. Jumping off you now find yourself at the foot of Mt Everest in Asia. As you scan the terrain you find that it's not as snowy as you thought, in fact it's somewhat lush at the base of the mountain. Preparing yourself, you start to climb the foot of Mt Everest when you realize there's a deep cave just a hundred feet up. You stand on the ledge and peer in the cave, you see something inside. Getting closer you realize that there is a Mankey and a Meditite sparring each other inside. Outside you the cave and around the corner you see a Shroomish lazily wandering around. Tropius/South America/1/4-4/Hit open areas with rock

You reach into your pack and grab a handful of rocks. You start the throw them and Tropius sees them as a threat. Breaking free from the ice he charges as you and sends you flying into the river. You black out as you drift down the river and begin to drown as you slip under the rapids. Eventually you come to as Avenger Captain Paula is dragging you from the river. She warns you of the danger of angering the Pokemon in the region, they're very nervous and upsetting them can be fatal right now. As she leaves you look around to see if anything else is around. You see some good areas you can explore from here. There is a path that leads down by the waters edge, there's another path that goes into the lush plants just past the river banks, and there's a bridge you can take to the other side of the basin:

Unbraced: You make your way back down towards the rivers edge. Making sure that you have a good footing you begin to sloosh through the mud up the bank. You hear the faint roars of the Tropius in the distance and just hope that it doesn't find you again. As you get further up the river you notice that there are more Pokemon around you just up ahead. Down by the water there was a Vulpix getting a drink of water. Across on the other side of the river a Carnivine was hanging from a nearby tree branch. Just a little up the river you noticed a Paras climbing a large tree trunk. Then you notice an Aspear berry tree just on your left:

Asia/1/Shroomish/Get Close, then Feed again

You get close to the ground and start to inch forward to Shroomish. It gets a little nervous as you get closer but when you throw the food the Shroomish reluctantly moves forward. After eatting the food Shroomish looks very happy:

Reaching into your pack you pull out a rock and peg the Shroomish in the leg. It gets a little angry, glaring at you, but you waste no time. Winding up you rocket a Pokeball at the Shroomish. The ball drops to the groud and begins rocking back and forth. The light blinks a few times when suddenly it turns blue:

You find a delicious piece of plant food and throw it in front of the Carnivine. It extends one of its vines and picks up the food, quietly munching away hanging from the tree.

You stand on the ledge and peer in the cave, you see something inside. Getting closer you realize that there is a Mankey and a Meditite sparring each other inside. Outside you the cave and around the corner you see a Shroomish lazily wandering around. Then, just above the mouth of the cave you see a Bersim Berry tree.

Looking around you the cave mouth is now empty and can be explored, you can continue up the peek, or there's a smoke spire in the distance you can search.

Kyuu:Grabbing onto your pack you get a good grip on the side of the mountain and start climbing towards the peek. Getting a good hold you start to pull yourself up and start making a good pace. Maybe a little to good of a pace. Suddenly as you reach the ice shatters beneath your feet and you start to freefall. Pulling out your ice pick you slam it against the peak that you were climbing. Kicking your feet against the ice you try to stop yourself before you slam into the ground below. Finally you slide to a stop and find a small ledge that you can get your footing on. Brushing some sweat from your forehead you continue up to at least the next plateau. As you're about to reach the plateau you notice something in the ice, it looks like a frozen Cranidos. Then when you pull yourself to the top you notice that a Machop is doing pullups on some nearby rocks and a Poliwag is dancing around in a small pool of ice water. Unbraced: You decide to keep exploring the Amazon River Basin. As you diverge from the basin itself and head into some of the foliage you think you can hear something following you. Slowly you make your way around when you hear a twig snap and a massive wind blows you out of the brush. There's a loud crashing sound when suddenly the Tropius you upset earlier reappears. He's not looking happy either. Getting to your feet you run and dive into the waters of the basin. While you're swimming towards the bottom to hide you notice there's a Lotad in the water with you. You see the shadow of Tropius at the waters edge and swim a good distance across the basin in hopes it won't see you come up for air. As you pull yourself up to breathe you see a Paras climbing on a tree nearby. Suddenly you hear the Tropius roar... but it's out of fear. Pulling yourself from the water you turn around and realize there's a Volcanus floating above the water, and it's coming for you! Raising its hand, it swings three times sending out waves of fire at you. Diving to the ground you manage to avoid the searing heat but the Volcanus raises his arms and plumes of lava blast from the ground and surround you. You're not getting out of this one without a fight!

A Volcanus has challenge you, you'll need to use your choice of Pokemon to battle him. Head to the Battledome (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19992) and write a short battle between your choice of Pokemon and the Volcanus. You must defeat him and for winning you may receive 1-2 levels AND 2-5 CCPs depending on the fight.

What's a Volcanus?

If you read the Pokemon Avenger's Information post below this you can get more information on what a Volcanus is. To sum it up, there's a evil being that is stealing the souls of Pokemon. He is extremely powerful but we know little about him. Still, we do know who his minions are, and the Volcanus are basically fire phantoms. They're extremely dangerous and can randomly appear anywhere in the world.
