Exactly how common are shiny pokemon in ru/sa?

More common than is GSC? Cause, playing my Sapphire, immediantly after i left the 2nd town, i caught a shiny raccon thingie, sorry, can't spell it's name :confused:

Sorry, but the only thing I know about Shinies in this game is that they aren't SHINY, they're more just "miscolored."

Meowth346 says it's 1 in 6400, but that may not be right. He's still researching, so its currently unkown what the chances are. Others have said 1 in 256, but I don't think that's right.
