My laptop is a piece of junk, and is gradually becoming more and more slow, tedious and a pain to use. I'm getting a new one in a month or so, but before then, help me make my laptop run as smoothly as possible.
I used to be reasonably knowledgable with all the appropiate programs to use -- i.e. HiJack This, AdAware, AVG etc -- but now I'm sure there are many diffferent alternatives, so I would like to hear some of your wise recommendations. And if there's anything in the BIOS I can do to further assist the laptop, it would be greatly appreciated.
I really stopped taking care of this thing like two years ago, so it's probably my fault. Also, I've never done hardware upgrades to a laptop before; is it simple?
