umm...help...please

I seen the first season of pokemon up until the whole johto thing began...thats when i stopped watching...but now that i got pokemon sapphire i some got back into pokemon...so can someone tell me if anything really cool happend through out the whole johto series?...and did the master quest series just start?...ive only seen the episode with the macargo...k thank you.

P.S- how many movies came out since the first one and what are their names.

Movie #1: Mewtwo Strikes Back (1999)
Movie #2: The Power of One (2000)
Movie #3: The Spell of the Unown (2001)
Movie #4: Celebi: Voice of the Forest (2002)
Movie #5: Pokemon Heroes: Latias and Latios (coming this summer)

Here's what happened in terms of their Pokemon:

- Ash caught a Heracross
- Ash caught a Chikorita
- Jessie accidently traded her Lickitung for a Wobuffet
- Ash released Charizard
- Brock caught Pineco
- Ash caught Cyndaquil
- Ash released Squirtle
- Ash caught Totodile
- Misty's Poliwag evolves
- Ash catches a shiny Noctowl
- Brock's Zubat evolves
- Brock gives Vulpix back to Suzie
- Brock's Golbat evolves
- Ash's Chikorita evolves
- Misty catches a Corsola
- Ash encounters Ritchie, Cassidy, and Butch again. Cassidy now has a Houndour, Butch has a Hitmontop, and Ritchie has a Pupitar, plus his Charmander evolved.
- Ash sends his Bulbasaur to Oak
- Ash gets an egg, which hatches into a Phanpy

Ash has all but one of the badges, and he has encountered a Lugia and it's child, and they also encountered a Red Gyarados, who was caught by Lance (Lance also has a Dragonite, just in case you're wondering). They've also run into Suicune, Articuno, and Zapdos. And the best thing of all: Ash gets turned into a Pikachu (He turns back to human, though) Master Quest started right after the battle with Chuck, the 5th gym leader.

And that's all ther interesting stuff that happened. The rest are fillers.
