Hay guys! I'm doing something different on HG and training stuff I've never trained before! Zomg! So at the moment, I've got a basic 5-part team planned out;

Typlosion
Eruption
Rollout
Flamethrower
Return (?)

Togekiss
Aura Sphere
Roost
Air Slash
Fly

Ampharos
Power Gem
Signal Beam
Discharge
Fire Punch

Sandslash
Slash
Crush Claw
Dig
Brick Break (?)

Lapras
Surf
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Sing/Zen Headbutt

it kills me to go with Typhlosion instead of Arcanine, but eh. So any suggestions for my sixth member? I was considering a Psychic or a Dark type, maybe Espeon? But not Alakazam or Houndoom, cos I've trained one before.

Cos it's mostly for in-game, I'm not amazingly bothered about natures or EVs, but I would like to cover most of my type disadvantages, one way or another.

You have a 3x weakness to Rock, and some surprising non-Rock-types might be packing moves like Stone Edge or Rock Slide, so be careful about that. You might want to choose a sixth team member who resists Rock attacks, to be on the safe side.

You also have 2x weaknesses to Electric, Grass, Ground, Ice, and Water, so avoid a sixth who's weak to any of those.

A Fighting type gets my vote. Specifically, an underused one like Hitmontop or Primeape.
