Ahh, a nice summers breeze blows by this morning on the whistle plains. Old folklore states that if you whisper here, the sound will carry on for miles. Hehe, we'll see just how true that is, as we have ourselves a little one on one here today.

River the Abra versus Skink the Treecko. This needs no more introduction, let's get to it. River is sitting still, but that doesn't mean she's not aware of the little lizard running toward her, fingers in snapping up a blade of grass. He clasps it between his lips and blows, forcing a harmonious hum out.

River however, is shimmering -and the whistle has nil effect.

Unabated, Skink was quick to simply dive in and smack River down with a Pursuits' energy. River fell with the hit, but she grasped onto the passerby's tail and released a electrical current she had stored up in that short time. Skink bounded away, but felt this feeling crawl though its body.

Not too keen on being inflicted with paralysis, Skink opened up the real physical waters. He dove in again, fist cocked and went to punch her in the face. His reach was good, because River initially swung low, and missed. River rolled onto her side, and then bounced up, limbs hanging in the air limp like noodles. She floated over with horrendously scary speed and socked Skink right back with icy revenge.

River needed to calm down. This grassy foe was already trying to get under her skin. So she floated back to the ground, and focused. Skink however, had a better idea and slammed into River, knocking her on her back. Stay there, you lazy wench!

Tired of this guy, River got up and sped to the now paralytic Treecko. A unobstructed fist hit the Treecko square in the nose, helped by the icy coating that built up before contact. Skink fell over, writing in chilly pain.

Skink was able to push up and stand once more, before his body was alit with flames. He jumped forward, patting his back vigorously. Turning back to River-whom was laughing at his predicament-Skink dove at her and spat out a tick stream of strange flames. River raised her arms to block, helping to lessen that close range blow.

River decided to play Skink for a fool. She stood up and walked over to the lizard, hands raised in icy contingent. Freaking out, Skink quickly crossed his arms, creating a Protective barrier to survive the first punch. Stupid Abra..

Skink tried again to summon that shield, and it fizzled out before his eyes. Crap! That second fist slammed into his hest, and he doubled over in pain. It was harde to breathe since the air was colder around him right now. River charged up one more icy fist and gave Skink a minute.

Seeing yet ANOTHER Ice Punch coming her way, Skink tried to block, bu the hypercold and the incumbent paralysis crippled him beyond belief. He fell to his knees, and then was laid out on his back by that uppercut. River laughed at his misfortune.

River then looked at herself, as the Safeguard fell around her.

Noticing her barrier fell, River took the time to recreate it, ignoring the glowing lizard. For all she knew, it would have been doing some sort of photosynthesi--wait no that can't be good!

She whipped her hands out and forced two streams of red and blue energy to fly from them. They collided with each other and created a purple tinted beam that cycled towards a massively glowing Shink. The reptile however, felt proud that he was gonna overcome River, and blasted the Solarbeam!

The Signal Beam was engulfed, and so was River. Yipe.

River bounced and skidded to a stop, as Shink sat down, taking a breather. River recovered and bounded over to Shink who tried to scatter. An odd energy surrounded Shink and he blasted hard to the left as River's fist hit the ground. The ground was scorched where the Abra struck-that would have hurt.

River was getting annoyed at this lizard his his continued assault on her. Now the damn thing was trying to bite--ok Trying was the wrong word. He bit her! On the leg. HARD! He left teeth marks, that was a nasty Crunching sound. She had to sit through that, fidgeting all the way.

She looked up as the lizard stayed close, hands raised to deliver a second bow to her. With her not attacking Skink didn't realize he may have been setting himself up. He was just eager to make massive ground against her. A quick slash across her front left his backside wide open, and River took that time to fling her hands out.

A quick white blast was created from all the anger she stored by biding her time, and she rocketed him away with it.

Skink crashed and rolled a few times, with River standing up and floating after. When he came to s a stop, River quickly commanded her mental prowess, and waited as the little bugger got himself on his feet and tried to throw some sort of seeded vine at her. She paused the projectile's flight, and reversed it with the flick of a finger, watching the vines wrap around him.

That was unexpected.

The slower Skink had no idea how to come back from this, other than going all out currently. River raised his hands and formed an astral projection of itself, that manifested in the ground, creating a Substitute of little strength. However, the bombardment of Skink's crazy attack caused the Sub to not be made in time! River was shocked and amazed and beat to a living pulp by the combo of attacks.

Skink breathed heavily, hoping that River was down and out. But River was not-to Shink's dismay, as a Fiery Punch consumed his vision.

Skink bowed his head, as the Ice Punch of this 1-2 combo connected, knocking him out.
