Ok since Kirby was DQ'ed from my last gym match and you showed interest in wanting to challenge my gym, I accept. The gym rules are here (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showpost.php?p=437696&postcount=2), it will be a 3 on 3 with no banned moves and a 4 day DQ limit to keep this match going quickly.

My first pokemon will be Shadow of Despair my Male Haunter. Your move Oslo.

Ooh, thanks for accepting, CEB. :) I admit that I got overzealous a couple days back and made the battle topic, but dun worry, this is cool. Rossy agreed to be the ref, if that suits you. *rings a bell to summon him from nowhere*

I see your Haunter and raise you a male Spiritomb named Big Scary Thing.

Okay, Big, let's do this. Big, start off with a Will-O-Wisp. Follow that up with one Psychic and one Ominous Wind.

Ok lets use your superior speed to out run this Big Scary thing. Start of with a Taunt to stop his Wisp then follow it up with a Hypnosis before he can get off an attack. Finish with a Wisp of your own. How ever if the first hypnosis doesn't hit then use a second one.

We begin this Gym battle with the Gym Leader Crazy Elf Boy holding his badge between his thumb and forefinger, to the challenger: Oslo.
"You want it?" he asks and stores it away. He then activates his Strategym arena, beginning with the Indigo Plateau. He then selects a Pokeball and throws it. The white light forms the shape of a devious Haunter when the ball opens. Oslo grins and sends out his Pokemon: another Ghost type, this time three generations ahead. The battle of the badge will commence, with Haunter on one side, and Spiritomb on the challenger's side. Let's begin.

We now begin the battle with the Spiritomb, Big Scary Thing, conjouring up blue balls of fire. Haunter (whose name is Shadow of Despair) grins wickedly and insults Spiritomb, saying that attacks are where it be at, boyo. Spiritomb extinguishes the balls of flame and launches himself at Haunter, ramming him with a ghostly tackle.

Now Shadow begins moving his hands in intricate patterns, in an attempt to hypnotise Big. Shadow fired six small pulses at Big, but most went wide. A couple of them went near, but none actually hit Big, making Shadow curse. Big watches this with amusement and glows a light blue colour. Shadow also glows the same colour and is thrown about by the gleeful Spiritomb. Shadow eventually lands, but goes right through the floor and rises back up, slightly miffed.

Shadow tries the same move again, this time with a bit more concentration. Success! A couple of the pulses hit Spiritomb, who lets out an ancient
groan. Big's attempt at his next attack: Ominous Wind, petered out and failed. Shadow barely felt it and Big closed his eyes, fell asleep, and retreated back inside his keystone.

Sleep Talk ~ Sleep Talk ~ Sleep Talk

We begin the next round of the Gym battle with both competitors almost being crushed by the sheer force of the gravity. Shadow most definately could barely stay airbourne. He floated over to Big and charged a small yellow orb between his hands. Big continued to snooze inside his rock, but was also mumbling. Haunter then did a pushing motion with his hands and the electricity was fired at Big. It (mostly) hit Big who grumbled in pain. In his slumber, Big vaguely noticed that his muscles had seized up. He finished mumbling and popped out of his keystone (lolreference). He attempted to think up of a nasty idea to help him in this battle, but even asleep, he still wanted to hurt Shadow. He calmed down and fell back back into his slumber afterwards.

Now Shadow created a ball of dark thoughts to fire at Big. He loved the fact that this arena made everything easier. He threw the ball at Spiritomb who was knocked back by the force of the blast and mumbled in his sleep again. Annoyingly, he (slightly) noticed that he couldn't move so continued to sleep.

Shadow repeated his previous attack of creating an evil ball of evilness, throwing it at Big, who was knocked back by the blast. Big was almost returning back to consciousness as he mumbled some more. He coughed a couple of times, before expelling a crud load of smoke upon the chamber. Shadow himself coughed as the smoke stung his eyes, but the chamber's gravity was so strong it made the smoke sink to the ground, giving the arena a very spooky feel. Big also woke up and looked around, wondering what the hell was going on and why he felt so constricted.

The large chamber vanished in a bright light. After everyone's eyes had gotten used to the light, it faded and the Pokemon found themselves on a large field, charred with the constant thunderstorms. Oh look, there's one now. Also, the wind made it difficult for Shadow to stay airbourne. With no gravity to hold it down, the smoke rose back up and engulfed the arena.

[B]Shadow Ball ~ Psychic ~ Shadow Ball

We begin the next round of this match with Big's Smokescreen working against him. He couldn't see Shadow, nor could he see Shadow speeding around the arena, creating multiple copies of itself. Big shrugged (?) and fashioned a small dark ball out of all the dark thoughts he had accumulated over the centuries. He fired it into the smoke and it parted to reveal he had hit something...a clone. Oh fantastic. Thankfully, he could feel his muscles loosen up.

Big tries to find his opponent in the smoke and finds one of the Shadows. Big glows blue and directs the attack at the ghost, but the Shadow can't handle the psychonetic forces and implodes. Shadow feels the clone vanish and guesses that Big is nearby. He crackles with a lot of electric power. Now because he was surrounded by electricity, he became an instant lightningrod. Therefore, a bolt of lightning was naturally attracted to Shadow. Haunter cried out as the bolt hit him, but his own attack was powered up nicely, which he then fired at Big. Big was hit by the bolt and experienced intense pain. Unfortunately, because Shadow got hit by lightning and recieved damage, the clones vanished.

Shadow frowns in annoyance and crackles with more powerful electricity. Yet again, he became a target for the lightning, but allowed for a stronger electric attack. He fired it off again and Big could have sworn he smelt cooked spirits.

We begin the next round of this battle in a dusty, white quarry. Shadow crackles with more electricity and fires it at Big...only to have it miss. Of course the moment we leave the electric field, electric attacks are more or less worthless. Big grins at his opponent's despair and figures that a nice lulling to sleep will do him some good. Shadow groans as he feels tiredness wash over him, and he falls into a nice, comforting sleep.

Focus Punch ~ Yawn ~ Body Slam

We begin this frightfully spiffing Gym Challenge with both Leader Elf and Challenger Oslo sending out their Pokemon. The two Pokeballs open and...let's see what we've got. Leader Elf has sent out a large Mamoswine, whilst Oslo has opted for a Snorlax. Now this should be fun.

We now begin with Snuggles the Mamoswine roaring at the clouds. The clouds cooled down and hail began to fall from the sky. Snore Warrior the Snorlax felt the hail pelt down, but that wasn't enough to break his concentration. His fist glowed a brighter and brighter white, before it was so white that Snore couldn't take it anymore. He propelled himself forward and gave a left hook on Snuggles' side. Snuggles roared with pain and temporarily dropped down to one knee (still standing on the other four legs, of course).

Snuggles snorts out cold air and feels somewhat at home in the snow and ice. He manipulated most of the ice and brought a freezing gale onto Snore. Snore grunted and is annoyed that abilities aren't possible. He looks directly at Snuggles and yawns. Snuggles sees this and also yawns, but not understanding why.

Snore sees this and braces himself, but when Snuggles slammed down with his front feet, Snore had no chance of defending against the earthquake that followed. Snore lost his balance and fell to the ground. He then got back up and charged at Snuggles. He then protuded out his massive stomach and slammed into Snuggles. Snuggles cried out, hit the floor, and fell asleep.

Sunny Day ~ Fire Blast ~ Iron Head

We begin this sarcastically surprising round with Snuggles snoring away happily. Snore decides that he was safe for the time being and started to dance. The weather outside changed from hail to sunshine...not that it had any effect on the people inside. Snuggles mumbled in his sleep and quite suddenly stood up. Rocks from around the arena began to move and sped towards Snore. Snore cowered back, but after a few seconds, nothing had happened. He opened his eyes to discover the rocks were just floating there. Hmm.

Snore yawns again and shifts around a bit. He then opens his mouth again and fires a stream of fire. The fire then changes shape in mid-air and turns into a large star, or kanji, for those of us who aren't ignorant westerners. The kanji crashes into Snuggles who moans in pain, even in sleep. He then gets up and charges towards Snore. Snuggles clamps down with his teeth and they froze. Snuggles then bit Snore with frozen fangs.

Snuggles is slightly waking up, but Snore has still got a couple of actions to fufill. Snore bows his head and concentrates. The top of his head turns silver and catches the light coming from the lights on the ceiling. Snore charges at Snuggles and rams into him. Snuggles cries out again and falls to the ground and mutters again. He creates a small sliver of ice which breaks into three. The three spears are then thrown at Snore. Snuggles is then awoken abruptly and blinks awake.

There are two banks on the east and west sides which can protect the Pokemon from the lava. Also, lava will explode out of the floor everywhere, similar to Earth Power. The sun has also followed us and it shines brightly.

We begin this slightly subjucated round with Snore hurriedly (as a Snorlax can be) creates a small...well not really 'small'...look-a-like of himself. Snuggles growls loudly, very loudly, very, very, very, very, very, very loudly. Snore's priordeal senses kick in and sees Snuggles as a quite dangerous teddy bear exterminator. He'll be a bit more careful attacking in future.

Snuggles roars again, stamping his feet as he goes. Surely that big, red, rocky lump is afraid now? He pauses to catch his breath and continues to growl. Snore, meanwhile, is debating whether attacking is really a good idea. Surely there must be a peaceful way of resolving this. Snore, therefore, decides to figure out a peaceful resolution. Part of the arena explodes, but no one's hurt.

When the energy reaches maximum, Snore releases it and a large beam flies towards Snuggles. There's a small explosion and Snuggles cries out in pain, annoyed that intimidation tactics wasn't that successful. Snore is still feeling a bit edgy, though.

We begin this fearsomly acute round with both Pokemon unable to see anything. Snuggles doesn't really mind, as this is the perfect opportunity to go to sleep. He closes his eyes, sits down, glows blue (but Snore can't see it), and falls asleep. Snore wants to attack, but you know he can't. He needs to rest, baby. Snore also doesn't feel that scared. Alright, I edited the last round to show that Oslo was picking his attacks first; no sense in re-doing the entire thing.

Okay, Love. Let's go with Taunt followed by Dark Pulse and Night Slash.

Shock Wave clones and Magic Coat if he tries to inflict a status.

Crazy Elf Boy
6th May 2011, 12:27 AM
Ok since we are dredging this since we have both been away for so long, not sure if Grey is still going to ref it.

Anyway since he is going to Taunt us lets go for a Taunt Block, start off with Protect to stop the attack then before he can even do anything else hit him with a Taunt of your own. Then since he will try and Magic Coat a status and if he is taunted he can't use your last attack as a Thunderwave.

Protect + Taunt ~ Thunderwave

===Round 12===

The match finally powers on, as Oslo hath returneth. Elf has also returned, and their Pokemon look pretty pissed off they they've both been made to stand here for what, a HALF YEAR? Well, not really, I saw the Bora Bora pics ¬¬. Anyway. Love snarls notes that Lady seems way too calm about this. There's also the nasty pricks to her sides, stupid rocks (-4). A flicker of energy comes up around her, and yet, she keeps talking.

Realizing what's happening comes a bit too late, but there is a bright side. The Protect muffles the Taunt, so its effect is not as long as one would like.

LC: -13E ~~ Lo: -3E Tnt 2 act.

Love snarls, even as a Thunderwave shoots his way. He jumps into it and immedialty falls down. Silly kitty, jumping into electricity.

LC: -5E ~~ Lo: >_O Par

Lady takes a breather, noting that this gravity field is really putting a damper on her floating. It helps Love though,. even though he's down, he can still fire a rippling low level pulse. This blast knocks Celeste back, and she realizes that she may not have the energy to keep this up for too much longer.

Arena shifts to a more...electrifying stage, with massive thunder strikes slamming into the floor. This arena gives off a healthy glow, and also sets off Love's danger instinct. Lady doesn't mind, as she can float around now, and tries to perform a twisted act-sucking away that powerful Ability of Love's. Love manages to bark her out of her good move. She may have it, but at the price of being a floating flimsy gypsy.

LC: -6E Tnt 4 act.~~ Lo: -3E

With the tables turned, Love now understands why that was so desirable. His next move seems to be a bit more fatigue worthy than it needs to. Nonetheless, a healthy slash rips through Lady Celeste, and she's stuck on anger mode, howling at the wolfish creature.

LC: -16H ~~ Lo: -9E

Lady finally strikes back-a bolt of lightning slamming into the ground behind her. The winds pick up Love as she slams into him-because relaxing was out of the question. Being close enough to bite, Love considered it, but managed to keep his cool and just roast her instead. Lady fell backwards, still ticked off at this dog!

Switchy switchy. As the field warps to that more inclined to a grounder's lifestyle, Celeste vanishes from view. This irritates Love, who yells in the air about how much of a punk she is. Although invisible for the moment, Celeste strikes back with a powerful hit that...

well no, its more of a Love tap. The hound snarls at her, before falling over.

LC: -6E ~~ Lo: -4E/-4H

Celeste vanishes again, while the pup lies there. A second strike to Love's rear really makes me wonder about Celeste angle choice, Nonetheless, it gets the job done and Love seems to be hampered.

LC: -6E ~~ Lo: -4H par

Feeling vindicated, Lady tries her most sinister idea yet. Taking the time to remain fully visible , she tries to lock onto Love. The hound glares at her, and barks out one ... haa I had to laugh.

How he called her a broom cover in a witch's closet! That's messed up. Focused on her attack shifted from complete to non existant, and Celeste yelled angrily at Love...completely negating her Pain Split attempt!

Still ticked off, Lady and Love square off in the midst of a thick forest. The shade it provides gives the ideal shadow melding these two seem to be very fond off. Both Pokemon vanish, and for a brief moment, there's only silence.

A glimpse of silver catches my eye, and there goes Love, knocked down by Celeste! Holy crap she overpowered the crippled beast! Paralysis is not your friend. Love growls, realizing there's a severe problem here.

LC: -6E ~~ Lo: -4H par

That problem being a ghost that likes to vanish and reappear. Celeste fades in and out of view tauntingly, and comes in for a strike every so often., Even though they're love taps, they're starting to add up. Love seems pretty irked by it all, as the Paralysis keeps on hampering him.

Her own ethereal form seemed more rigid than usual.
