I love it. I think it's amazing.
I like it because there's some level of skill involved, its not just random like poker machines.
Although I would prefer it if there were more variety of games in the casino. :\
I've been up to level 6

I've never been a fan of the Game Corner as I don't find their items very useful. However, I did enjoy the D/P Slot Machines. Got the Explosm TM a few times, too. But why they replaced it for the Voltorb Flip game is beyond me. People won't get addicting to the slot machines because it's in a game for all ages.

Though a Slot Machine with Clefairy/Ditto in it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Level 8 right here.:)

A huge improvement over the slots IMO. With the ability to lose all the coins you've earned in a single round, there's still some risk involved, but it doesn't go so far as to make you gamble away coins you've already earned, which I think is a good balance.

The only things I don't like about it are that first of all, the levels drop too quickly. Sometimes, you have to make a random guess, and if you get it wrong, you can easily drop back to level 1. I don't have a problem with it dropping you 2 or 3 levels at a time for royally screwing up, but going all the way from, say, 6 to 1 is overkill. There's also the issue with the fact that you can't buy coins like you could in the old games, you actually have to spend the time to play the game. Not like it's an issue for me, I play it even when I don't need coins so I have plenty saved up, but there's always going to be people out there that don't want to bother with the game.

It's a great addition to the Game Corner.

But it's not a suitable REPLACEMENT for the Game Corner.

Blademaster's post is nicely spot on.

I have a history with a game similar to this, a logic puzzle called Battleships (similar to the "You sunk my Battleship" game but with the numbers along the edges that help you deduce the locations of the various ships), so I transitioned to Voltorb Flip fairly easily. There's visceral excitement in seeing "0;5" for a row or column...

If you choose to Quit your current game partway through, you'll receive any coins you've earned so far and you won't drop any levels. ...well...normally you won't...I recently hit a run of bad luck, had to Quit five Level-5 games in a row, and the game apparently got sick of me wimping out because it kicked me back to Level 1 on the fifth Quit game.

/added later/ Oh, by the way.
Whoever programmed that "Is this what you're expecting!?" moment in there was a sadist and a terrible person.
Just sayin'.

oh lololololol this made me laugh so much. It's like every time that happens, I freeze up. HOW DOES IT KNOW that i've just made a really risky / important move? EVERY TIME!!!

I personally find it annoying, but I want that Dratini, ARGHH!

It's okay, but it's annoying that you can't buy coins just to get a Pokemon or TM. I hate Game Corners.

I was Coins were a bit less ludicrously priced. It's like P$20 for a single Coin. The exchange rate should NOT be that steep. Celadon/Goldenrod/wherever the RSE and DPP Corners were City may be big, but that doesn't mean the rest of the map is a third-world former Russian republic for God's sake.

I wouldn't say I love it, but the fact that you can use a little math and not just dumb chance (every other game corner) or patterns (FRLG) is a plus.

It's a nice game but would of been a much better addition rather than replacement. Highest I got was lv 7 I think. I do miss the buyign coins though, even if the price was steep what else am I going to use money on after I beat the game? I already have hundreds if not thousands of max repel, medicanes, and poké balls.

I made it to level 8! I wouldn't say I love it, but it was fun. Also, since I don't own a DS and have only managed to borrow one a couple of times, I don't get many chances to play and become attached to it (or tired of it?).

I miss the slot machine. It made it easier for me to rack up coins for TMs. And for the longest time, I couldn't get past Level 2. The only thing I would want to redeem at that place would be a Dratini, and now it's just easier to trade one from Platinum!

Can't you get one in Blackthorn? I heard you can get an Extremespeed Dratini there.

Yup, one in the game if you answer the questions right, and it's not exactly easy, because not all the answers are obvious. You still get a Dratini if you get the answers close enough, but it doesn't know Extreme Speed. Of course, you can also catch normal Dratinis in Dragon's Den (which is how I got my in-game Dragonite).

Yeah, but in Platinum I have the resources to breed one that fits my needs.
