Have anyone else here done this also? Or are you just going to go into the store and get both without a pre-order? :)

I've gotten Diamond and SoulSilver without preorder. So I'll probably be doing the same with White.

Buying Black when it comes out in Europe, buying White in June for my birthday.

That'll give me plenty of time to investigate the game and go through all the version exclusives.

It's never been necessary to preorder any games in Austria, you just have to make sure you go to the store on the first or second day after release cause popular titles are often gone by then. But I'll get a US version first anyway, I'm positive there'll be a few on Ebay.

I'm still not sure whether to get Black or White. I've preordered both as there is no penalty for not collecting one, but I may end up buying both anyway :/

I plan on getting White only but I won't pre-order it. I'll just pick it up at the store when ever I get a chance to go.

The only reason I preorder is because you get double reward points at the shop for preordering. Figure it's worth doing it since I'd be buying it there anyway, so might as well get some money back.

I preorder for two reasons: First, it gets the money-spending part out of the way sooner, and second, it means I don't have to hurry to get to the store within the first day or two of the game's release.

I'll nonchalantly buy the game when I can be arsed going to the store for it.

I'm going to get Black because I've got middle-class guilt.

I pre-ordered White in Kokkola today. It was just a spur of the moment, the salesperson was asking and asking, that I should decide at once. I wasn't even hurry for the train and now I'm just wondering why I said White, not Black.

Anyhow, this will be the first time I'll get a Pokemon game on the release day, I'm normally so late.

I'm thinking I may go with white, just because I prefer the look of Zekrom :/ The Black City/White Forest exclusive zones is making me want both though :/ Even though there will probably be Pokemon Grey that has both areas and legendaries in it.

Well, I imported Black version, just to see how the game was.
And I was impressed that I grew fond of the game; it gave me nostalgia from playing Blue version way back in the day: New town, beginning route 1, strange new creatures to capture.

I'm getting White when it releases in English. So I will actually just reserve my copy of White version sometime around next month.

Edit: And I agree, Cammy. There might be a Pokemon Gray/Grey (however you want to spell it. Both ways are correct) with Kyurem being the mascot and the game will revolve like Platinum was.

I miss this aspect of starting the new games. Usually I've read all of the updates from Serebii, so know what the games will bring. This time around I've really just kept my research to differences between the two versions, as I want it to be something of a new experience again.

To be a newbie again, if you will. While it's obviously more beneficial to know what you're doing, it's always more fun to let the game lead you through it and discover new things for yourself.

I figure there will be plenty of time to learn the ins and outs once I've started playing.

I'm just gonna wait until it comes out in the US. I really don't see a need for a pre-order....

Seriously I don't think they'll sell out like in Japan in the first day so I'll wait until than to get Black

I should have guessed that none other than Gothitelle is one of those available only in Black or only in White. Or I should have found it out somewhere before pre-ordering. Well, another reason to buy then both, no?

Yah that's what I usually look for, what're the version exclusives. I really have some sort of draw to amoebaface-but My pattern of game in this series is always teh first title in teh names.

Red!! and Blue
Gold!! and Silver
Ruby!! and Sapphire
Diamond!! and Pearl

..so yeah

Black!! and White. (Insert racist jokes now.)

So yah, but everything else that's exclusive Pokemon is fine by me in Black. With more than half of ya'll getting White, its no prob for me to trade. :o

Same here. I always get the first name (and sometimes the third version). Red, Gold, FireRed, Ruby, Diamond... So Black it is for me, too.

Only getting Black, honestly not that dedicated to have two versions anymore.
