Miscellaneous Xmas Thread o' Doom 2010

Righteous brothers! Despite what I claimed in the newsletter, I'll be jumping on board to spearhead the miscellaneous Christmas fun.

So what we've got for you here is a sort of ultimate clusterfun of a thread, and just as the tidings of Christmas are bountiful, so to is the selection of things for you to do for your miscellaneous Christmas.

The first is the glorious miscellaneous secret Santa. Here's where you sign up to make someone's Christmas magical. For those of you unfamiliar, once sign-ups close, you'll receive a PM telling you who you have to 'Santa' for. Sign-ups will close shortly before Christmas, and you're to give them a gift of any sort. Prose, a picture, a few delightful links you found, whatever. All you have to do is make a new thread in miscellaneous stating that it's your secret Santa for that person. As I'm sure you have better things to do this Christmas than be on TPM, there will be a three-day window to post your Santa, from December 24th to 26th. Remember, your recipient is SECRET, so until you make that thread, no telling!!

If that falls flat on its ass, we've also got a cop-out option; this thread is also the official misc Christmas tree! See the pretty lights? See the lovely ornaments? All it needs is a few presents. So over the Christmas period, this thread is also the place for you to leave gifts for whoever. It's like secret Santa, but not as much fun. And if nobody signs up for Santa, I'll probably panic and change the rules for only santas to participate. I dunno. We'll see.

And finally, this is also a thread just for any fool to chat Christmas if they'd like. You don't have to, but I worked really hard on this thread. So talk Christmas!!

Asilynne is watching TV at her home. Suddenly, her favourite program is interrupted by somebody in a Santa Claus costume.

"We are interrupting the program to bring you a live, globally televised broadcast from Itella, the Finnish mail enterprise...

I am Santa Claus, the sole person able to bring presents in every country worldwide."

"What's this?" wonders Asilynne.

"I strongly request the cooperation of Virginia, the state. in particular." Santa continues.

"Hey, that's my state!?" Asilynne's interest is growing.

"It's highly probably that this little Christmas present story is directed to somebody in Virginia, the USA. Why Virginia? I think I'll be able to show you why very soon in a direct confrontation. So..."

The Santa Claus in television is replaced by Mikachu Yukitatsu's avatar!

"Come on! Let's exchange Christmas presents!" Mikachu claims.

"Although it was announced that this was being televised globally...

Actually it was broadcast only in Virginia. The plan was to broadcast live in other areas in turn, but that's no longer necessary. You are in Virginia, Asilynne!"

Sure, I'll do a secret santa. Keep in mind I have no art-making programs on my laptop and I'm not about to make a special trip to a computer lab to make one. But I can do other little things as well.
