===Round 1===

Alllll-riiii-ghty--then! We are here, in Indigo Stadium no less. A rousing crowd has joined us in the off season as we welcome two battlers to the forefront. Concept and Dogfish are eager participants today, and we'll waste no time in getting this started.

CPR flops out and lands on the arena, while Ruth stands by the marked edge, eying the sparking fish. Ruth kneels down as the fish bounces close, and gets spat in the face. In response, Ruth smashes her head down and tags CPR

Ruth: -6E Txc ===///=== CPR: -3E/-9H

The toxic fumes bother Ruth (-1), as she bellows at the smartypants fish. The Roar is powerful, giving the fish reason to be scared. So CPR freaks and doesn't fire that Thunderbolt. Ruth smirks, glad to have shaken that fish to its watery core.

Ruth: -3E ===///=== CPR: Int.

Ruth notes the glowing antennae of the fish...and they're not beaming as bright as before.. Hissing (-1), the Kangaskhan now starts to stomp the ground. CPR bounces about and backwards to try and get away from the angered Pokemon, firing an Ice Beam in fear as he did so. Ruth was struck, and grunted from the chilling blast.

Ruth: -9E/-10H ===///=== CPR: -8E/-20H

The Toxic still burns (-1), and Ruth glares at the fish.

OK (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/EP075)

Ash was preparing to battle in the Indigo League. He learned that he must first pass through four preliminary battles on four unique battlefields (Grass, Water, Ice and Rock) to qualify for battling inside Indigo Stadium.

Also here (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Indigo_Plateau_Conference#rounds)

Preliminary rounds
In the preliminary rounds, Trainers must compete on four different battlefields: Rock, Grass, Water and Ice. All matches are of three Pokémon each. The battlefield is decided by a game of chance, and the competitors are chosen randomly by computer. Only Trainers who win on all four battlefields progress to the final rounds.
Final rounds
Final round battles take place in Indigo Stadium. All battles are full battles, with the exception of the fifth round, which is three-on-three. Only 16 Trainers make it to the final rounds. Competitors are chosen by fishing for Magikarp labelled with a letter and number that match that of another competitor.

===Round 2===

Breathing out slowly, Ruth forces herself forward, and keeps her eyes glaring at teh sky. Her gaze relaxes as the skies part, creating a beautiful day. Exept that cloud. That's creeping in. And its bringing friends. She loos own, to see that nervous Chinchou flipping around and calling clouds. Shadows grow over the Stadium, and soon the rumblings of a storm can be heard. She fumes (-2), as the first drops fall.

Ruth: -4E Txc ===///=== CPR: -4E
RD: 3 rds

Mad that fish is still even around, an trying to regain its mettle, Ruth opens her hands and creates a Thunderbolt-that she throws like a javelin. Unlike most fish, the hit doesn't bother Chinchou that much. Ruth coughs(-2) as CPR swallows its fear and fires a Zap Cannon. But its aim is off, and that hefty blast speeds past Ruth's left side.

Ruth: -8E ===///=== CPR: -8E/-10H

Damn. CPR needs to get its head back into the battle. Ruth now fires a beefy beam, white in color. It exploded on contact and a strange flicker of light envelops CPR. The fish looked around, and flopped in this muddy terrain. The rain started to swirl in a funnel, but it touched down to the right of Ruth. Ruth stumbled back from the suction of the Whirlpool, glad that missed (-2).

My turn to moan :)

Rain Dance -WAT- The user beckons the clouds to cover the sky, and induces them to begin to rain. In the rain, water attacks become easier to use to greater effect and fire moves are dampened by the water. Electricity is more conductive, and chances of electrical attacks of any sort hitting are almost certain.
Fatigue: Light
Accuracy: Excellent

Anyway, go with Hydro Pump, Then Thunderbolt, then Thunder Wave.

===Round 3===

Ruth looks a bit perturbed a the moment, because the Chinchou-though hampered, seems to have a bead on her. Indeed, this is the case, for the moment, CPR has figured out that if the thing between his feelers moves, its gotta be a Kangaskhan. So, with that knowledge, he charges up a massive water attack only to be shaken about hectically, by Ruth.

The ground levels out and CPR thanks the sky, before letting loose that Hydro Pump. This time he gets a hit, and Ruth goes rolling along the slick ground. She hacks (-3) and forces her body up.

Ruth: -9E/-16H ===///=== CPR: -9E/-20H

That hit cost too much. Ruth decided that there would be no more shenanigans of that nature, and set about creating a shield all her own. CPR however, was all about causing this scary kangaroo misery. In the rain-the Thunderbolts aim was true, and struck Ruth mid cast. Her Safeguard completed, but she also bore scarred hands and insides (-3).

Ruth: -5E/-10H ===///=== CPR: -7E
SG: 3 rds

Intent on putting that fish down, Ruth forced another Earthquake to rise up and throw CPR around in this sloshy mess of a battle arena. It worked, and CPR seemed more dizzy than anything. Ruth shook her head, as something was getting to her(-3). But it was not what CPR threw out currently. A thin wave of ions splashed against her, but Ruth merely dusted her tail off.

===Round 4==

The poison was now reaching a fever pitch (-4), but that didn't stop Ruth from trying to shock CPR into submission. A hefty Thunderbolt would have done the trick to any other fish, but not this Chinchou. CPR took the hit an resolved to fight back without intimidation at his side. A masterful Hydro Pump flew and struck Ruth backwards. CPR was not out yet.

Ruth: -8E/-16H ===///=== CPR: -9E/-10H

Vision clear, CPR focused on an other Hydro pump. However, Ruth was sure to end that with a massive Head butt to CPR's done. As she recovered from Cpr's body, she felt sick once more.(-4).

Ruth down, Concept snorts, before releasing his next Pokmeon. Its a wee little Snorunt, by the name of Tenchi. Ledian seems unamused by thsi stiff creature and hovers in place, arms to sides. Tenchi doesn't waste time and stretches what seems to be some form of energy down over itself, like a blanket.

Its not long before Ledian swoops down and instead of investigating that Tenchi did, he just shoves his fists into Tenchi's mouth.

Tenchi bowled head over heels for a while, coming to a gradual stop on its face. Hurt pretty bad from that strike Tenchi was very reluctant to move back up close. He stayed put and tries for a volley of Snow. Some of it piles on the shield that Ledian erected as he came closer, but some filters through and gives Ledian a slight chill. Fearlessly Ledian hovers a few feet in front of Tenchi.

Ten stares at the Bug, before figuring just what to do next. It comes as no surprise than, that Ledian took the opening and punches the pointy ice Pokemon again. Ten: -4E/-10H ===///=== Led: -4E/-12H/+5H

Tenchi skids to a stop a few feet away, feeling that was more than enough distance between him and Ledian. As Ledian recovered, Tenchi erected his own shield. This did force Ledian to leave its protective barrier behind, but Ledian didn't mind. Tenchi watched as a massive blast of energy came for his face. The shield buffered.....but it still smashed against him, bashing the poor Ice Type severely in the jaw. Man that guy's never gonna talk again.

The shivermon glared needles at the bug as he primed himself. All he needed were two good shots. Within seconds an Ice Beam was formed from thin air, and fired at the flying bug. But Ledian fearlessly flew toward the beam, all hands aiming right for him. A Protective barrier came around the Pokemon, and disseminated the beam as he flew through it.

Tenchi shivered in fear as the shield fell and a powerful set of arms and fists came down over him in a horrid fashion, bashing him to near exhaustion. The energy recovered from that combo was not to shabby at all.

Ten: -7E/-30H ===///=== Led: -23E/+15H

But this left Ledian completely open. Tenchi damn sure took advantage, covering the Pokemon in a thick layer of snow. Since Ledian flew up to Tenchi, he didn't have the protective barrier of a Light Screen to fall back on either.

Ten: -4E ===///=== Led: -14H

Ledian burst free of the snow and tried to get between his shield between him and Tenchi, but Tenchi was not having it. With a quick fire, a second Ice Beam sped through the air. This time Ledian was the one that looked like he was almost split in two by the beam, as it took him across the arena. Ledian crashed, almost wiped out.

===Round 9===

Tenchi and Ledian were at wits end with each other. Foregoing any sort of protection, both Pokemon went for an attack. Only as Ledian flew in close for a Punch to help even this fight out, Tenchi created a barrier out of icy energy. Ledian bounced off it, and then went flying skyward as a Blizzard eruipted from that shivermon.

Ten: -16E ===///=== Led: -4E/-20H

And Ledian's shield faded.

Tenchi stares at the new Pokemon on the field and readies a nice heaping Water Pulse. However, Magma was more than reared up. Its flames shot up in preparation of the incoming water, and created a shield out of fire that dissolve the water. That fire then surged forward and licked at Tenchi almost taking him down.

Ten: -4E/-9H ===///=== Magma: -13E

Tenchi didn't hesitate, firing a second Water Pulse at Magma. Magma hissed, upset that the little Pokemon was still alive! The water struck, but Tenchi was left wide open for a Flame Wheel.

===Round 11===

Down to his last, Concept calls out Ashe, a Dratini eager to test her skills. The Quilava fires himself up and tries to conceal the area in a deep Smokescreen. Ashe isn't having it though. Her Twister, while small, was powerful enough to clear enough smoke away so she could make out the flaming shrew! Haha, sucker.

Light Screen flickers out.

Ashe: -2E ===///=== Magma: -3E/-5H

Displeased with the first outcome, Magma darts at Ashe and rakes her to the ground with a heavy Claw. He keeps crushing her with all his strength, but that serpentine tail is what he should have pinned. With a heavy *thwack* Ashe sends Magma on his way with an Aqua tail version of a rattail mark in between the eyes!

Ash: -6E/-9H ===///=== Magma: -5E/-12H

Magma glares at Ashe and tries something else. He decides that Physical prowess isn't going to win the day. So, whoa! You can't be slow! Ashe is all over the firemon with a bevy of belly bumps and headbutts! Yikes. Magma throws the serpent back with that nasty Extrasensory, leaving Ashe disoriented.

===Round 12===

Ashe focuses back on the match and charges up a sizeable amount of eater energy. As she fires the Pulse of water, Magma stands proud and true. His chest was puffed out, flames flaring brilliantly. Even as the water crashed agaisnt his frame and left him shivering, Ashe found his stance alluring. Yipe.

Ashe: -4E Atr (50)===///=== Magma: -3E/-10H

Ashe seems a bit confused. Why would Magma stay so far away from her. She slithered over and nuzzled the fire type, whom used this to his advantage. As Ashe slithered around him, he let his flames flare out and burn Ashe.

Ash: <3.<3 (45) Brn ===///=== Magma: -2E

Ashe backed up a bit, wondering why Magma was so fired up!! All she wanted to do was be next to him! So she blew some air to try and cool him down. However, her breath has such an incantation cast to it, that it caught on fire and seared Magma. Magma backed up and spat in her face-what kinda girl burns her boyfriend, no matter how bad he's treating her currently?

Ash: -5E Txc (39)===///=== Magma: -3E/-7H

===Round 13===

The serpent didn't feel too strongly about Magma for a few moments, and well, that just meant he needed more to love. So from one dragon came 4! Magma was taken back by the swift multitude of serpents surrounding him and put his foot down to stop these shenanigans.

Well, his claws actually, but he still missed.

Ashe: -3E +2 cl (36)===///=== Magma: -5E

Pissed over all of this clonage, Magma went and headbutted the nearest serpent. No, no he didn't. He headbutted an illusion. Giving out a cry of frustration, Magma watched as the remaining Dratini's cuddled around each other and him, and started to summon the rain? Really?

As the rain began to fall, Magma got a slight break-as the raindrops fell through one of the clones, dissolving it, and leaving the true Ashe for him to see.

Ash: -4E (33) ===///=== Magma: -4E
Rain: 3 rds

Ashe KNEW he'd see things her way, and they'd be together forever. She squeezed onto him tight, glad the rain calmed down that fiery temper of his. Or did it? Magmar squirmed to get this lovey dovey snake off of him and used his claws to push her away, squeezing where he'd assumed ribs would be.

===Round 14===

Ashe begins to see that her love was not as much of a man as she thought he was. That was goig to stop. She crackled intensely for a moment, even though the clouds began to part. Magma was dancing his heart out, his flames fanning away the clouds and ushering in the sun. A stray Thunder came careening to within inches of his face, and Magma backed away from Ashe.

Ashe: -10E (24)===///=== Magma: -4E

Glad that Thunder missed, Magma went in close to shatter Ashe's world. He once again "hugged" her, as she coiled herself around him as well. His hugs were always so bone crushing, but they were also so warm..<3.<3

Ash: <3.<3 (19) -7H ===///=== Magma: -5E

Magma did it again, and Ashe cried out in pain. Damn you play too rough! Ashe , now decidedly angry at thsi stupid Quilava, swatted him backwards with her water-laced tail. It still stung, but the Sunlight helped to weaken that blow. Magma shook off the wet feeling and just stayed focus. Just a little more...
