View Full Version : [Gym] Ayeun vs Dragonis - Ref: DL, ofcourse!

Ayeun
26th December 2010, 08:07 PM
Well, I have been a Gym leader now for over a month, and all the challengers seem to have backed off...

So as MLG did, I am throwing open the door as an OPEN CHALLENGE!

New Gym:

Secret Garden!

Arena:

A secluded Chinese style garden, equipped with a pond, pagoda, bridges and rock paths.

http://www.mobot.org/hort/imgs/tours/chingdn1.jpg

Battle style:

Tournament style, Best out of 5 (subject to negotiation). Each team uses 1v1, and fight until one is defeated. The victor records a point, and both send out fresh combatants for the next round. This continues until the first team have 5 wins. Draws count as 0, so the match may go more than 9 combatants each. Pokemon that are recalled may not be used again in the gym.

Moves rules:

Rest and Pain split may only be used ONCE during the entire battle (Not per pokemon)! The move Ingrain will not work in the garden, but there are 5 (and ONLY 5) Ingrain roots already established, that any pokemon may grab on to at the cost of one action. Doing so grants that pokemon the benefit and drawback of Ingrain, and when that pokemon is defeated, the root retracts. Weather effecting moves will automatically fail to work, due to the fire suppression system, and abilities that affect the weather have no effect (eg: air lock and cloud nine).

Gym specials:

Fire suppression system, Ingrain bonuses (see above), Tournament style battle

Fire suppression system: A system implanted to protect the gardens. Has 6 settings. Starts at 0 (default).

0. No change. Battle acts as normal. The level of sun in this stage is equivalent to ‘Sunny day’.

1. Rain effect. Battle field under effect of Rain dance/Rain conditions.

2. Mist effect. Covers entire battle field.

3. Haze effect. Covers entire battle field.

4. Fog effect. Covers entire battle field in a thick layer of fog. Reduces accuracy by 50%.

5. Heavy Rain. Fire, ground and rock types take damage per turn. Solar beam takes an extra round to charge. Doubles the effect of Hydration, Water Dish, Swift Swim, and Dry skin. If thunder is used, its chance of being protected or Detected goes from 30% to 15%.

As stated above, weather moves, or abilities cannot be used, and attempting to use Defog during stages 2-4 will not removed the effect.

The system is activated AFTER any fire type move is used, and will go up one level for each fire type move used. It will remain at the setting it peaks at for 5 rounds, before defaulting down one level. This means that the first fire type move will still hit for normal damage, but subsequent moves will not.

===Round 1===

Wow. Here we are. Out in the Secret Garden, finally open for business. Lush plants cover this wakway and the gazebo is finely covered in moss and vine. A quaint arena this is, and in the midst of it all sits our newly Grass Leader, awaiting any and all challengers.

I bring with me a long time driver of competition-the one and only Dragonis, into this arena, as he readies a way to make another mark in ASB battle lore. Without any histation, he's released a massive flying beast and points at the large Venusaur idly sniffing flowers.

Tusnami swoops down and then flies back up gleaming as she gets a feel for the amount of space she can utilize. Saur just stretches its vines, and seems to pump its body mass outward a bit.

Saur: -4E ===///=== Tsu: -5E
SG: 3rds

Tsunami, kowing the rules of the Gym, decides to play it safe, and swoops down to land. Planting her feet near Saur, the hefty dragon takes the first swing, hitting Saur with a nasty Ice Punch. Although struck, Saur allows its fllower to pump out an odiferous scent that wraps all over Tusnami. The smell is so enticing that Tusnami stays on the ground for the time being.

Saur: -3E/-12H ===///=== Tsu: -6E Calm

Feeling pretty laid back about this fight, Tsunami doesn't give it his all and halfheartedly swipes at Saur. Saur takes the brunt of that strike nonetheless, and retaliates with a coil of vines and swats Tsunami and sends the Dragonite flying into a grove.

===Round 2===

Rumble in the arena proceeds with Saur whipping those massive tendrils it commands again. Tsunami notes this and braces for impact. The strike is hard, hitting Tsunami's hip, and the chunky dragon stumbles, but stays up!

Tsunami now goes into a zone like trance, focused only on his movements! The powerful beast seems to attain more energy from this, and Saur disapproves as the grass starts to sway outward from him radially.

Saur: -4E ===///=== Tsu: -3E/-5H +Atk/Def
SG: 3rds

Tsunami doesn't even waste time in letting Saur get any more of a jump on him. The dragon flies in close, never mind the fact that the grass is shaking and ...moving? Saur lets out a mighty bellow as the dragon swoops in and slices at his side. Massive flora vines erupt from the ground in a hectic fashion, and although Tsunami's increased speed helps him get away from the first expulsion, there are many more with bash, cut and bring the beast back to the grassy knoll face first.

Saur: -13E/-8H ===///=== Tsu: -3E/-7H Calm

Tsunami is lucky for that 4x resistance to Grass, otherwise that would have hurt. Saur gasps for air, that massive attack left him pretty tired for the moment. Tsunami gets up and walks right over to Saur, before striking up a Ice covered fist, and planting it right on his back with ferocity. Saur groaned, and took a step to the side.

===Round 3===

Soar, Saur grumbles a moment, before Tsunami tries a different approach, A charge of electricity bounces off his antennae, and to Saur. Tsunami smirks, until a billowing cloud of spores lace the air its flying in. Tsunami flaps backwards, but the spores were already inhaled. Already Tsunami's altitude began to falter, and soon it fell from the sky. Saur smirked, although it had paralysis to deal with.

Saur: -4E par===///=== Tsu: -2E

Saur walks over to the downed Tsunami, and charges up a massive ball of light. He looks down to make sure his target is still prone, and there's Tsunami, rolling over?

Smirking? Oh crap! It has SAFEGUARD ON! Saur is slashed very hard in the chest, and reels back from the blow. But in defense, Saur lets loose that Solarbeam. Tsunami takes that hit, and catches the air as it flies back up to safety. That was close.

Saur: -10E/-8H ===///=== Tsu: -3E/-3H

Tsunami flies in close and rattles off another Aerial Ace, watching it slash up Saur's backside. Saur grumbles and fires off a Solarbeam in anger, but Tsunami gladly takes that force and bats it off of his still wind-enhanced hand. Saur bellows, unhappy with this current state of affairs.

Saur: -10E/-8H ===///=== Tsu: -3E/-3H

Now the Safeguard falls, and Tsunami laughs at Saur's flub.

===Round 4===

Saur thinks none of this is funny, and growls. But Tsunami, Tsunami looks about ready to end this shenanigans. He levies up a flame imbued fist, and Saur's eyes widened! Fire! Yes! Salvation! Saur fires off that Solarbeam as Tsunami connects with the Fire Punch, After Tsu hits-a siren goes off in the Garden. The sprinker system starts and now we're covered in rain.

Saur: -9E/-16H ===///=== Tsu: -6E/-3H
Lvl 1

This actually is a detriment for Saur. Now he's stuck charging up a Solar Beam, as Tsunami switches to a chilling element for the same effect! The Ice punch stings like bloody murder. In fact, Saur is plain stuck, as paralysis prevents him from even charging.

Saur: *par* -13H ===///=== Tsu: -6E

Saur can move once more, but with this rain, all he has is a halfway charged Solarbeam. Tsunami smirks, and idly slashes at Saur with a wing, leaving a burning sensation along Saur's left side.

===Round 6===

The Gym Leader quietly fixes her clothing, as she was quick to seek shelter from the rain. Almost as if it knew what was next, Lily springs from her "hiding" spot amongst some reeds by the water's edge. Dragonis is a little worse for wear, an umbrella is all I got for him. But he releases Jacen, a steely eyed Gallade with a penchant for slashing things.

Right now though, Jacen just swings his arms back and forth, getting them prepped? Lily seems put off and runs over to Punch Jacen immediately. Jacen takes the hit, knowing he's gonna hit harder.

Lily: -6E ===///=== Jac: -3E/-4H +2Atk

Jac grunts, and raises one elbow up. Lily backs away, but she doesn't anticipate the pivot. He spins low and slashes her her horizontally, causing her to fall backwards, THEN he brings his raised arm down, to competed the vertical slash of the X-Scissor. She hits her back hard against the mud, and has trouble getting up immediately. Lucky for Rain Dish..(+1). She stands up again, and now goes for a Punch to his leg. He blocks it, but feels a strange sensation from it.

Lily: -4E/-13H/+1H ===///=== Jac: -7E/-3H

Lily pulls back and cocks her right fist for another punching action, but Jacen steps in too fast for her to get a clear shot. He punches her right in the face with a nasty Poison Jab, and backs up. She reels from the punch, shaking poisonous fluid off her body thanks to that yummy rain (+1), before coming forward with a double fisted slam to his thigh. Yeah, THAT gave him something to think about!

Lily: -4E/-16H ===///=== Jac: -7E/-3H -Def

Jacen shakes a bit, its quite chilly in here.

Lily looked up at the sprinkler system, and pondered whether this was the best idea. While Jacen took the time to veil itself from further subsidiary harm, Lily flared her fists. She ran at Jacen and railed a few potent punches on him (+1). The rain however dosen't let up and instead a light Mist covers the garden. Its still pretty easy to see each other.

Lily: -6E ===///=== Jac: -5E/-7H

Jacen smirked, glad the rain stopped for now. Within the mist, Jacen moved pretty swiftly, punching Lily in the face. This time, there was a nice swath of poison to swallow. Lily hacked (-1), and swore revenge(+1). She was able to force the pools of water left behind by the sprinkers and the Mist to whirl around Jacen, and keep him pretty immobilized for the time being.

Jacen was trapped for the time being, and so he bided his time, watching as Lily got close enough to fire an Ice Beam at him. Lily was pretty pissed about that, as Jacen began striding toward her! (-/+1)

===Round 8===

As the Misty rain keeps falling here, Lily feels all too good. Yeah she might be poisoned, but water is the backbone of all life, and she sucks it up a plenty. Jacen though, feels a bit jipped by all this, and gets in close to the Lombre. Powerful swipes are committed, and Lily falls on her back, breathing hard.

But Jacen gets a taste of power himself. The blast of water that Lily emits is more than enough to send him skyward with the force powerful enough to crush ribs.

Lily: -9E/-18H ===///=== Jac: -7E/-18H

Jacen landed on his knee and fist, and rolled to further lessen the impact all over his body. By the time he stood up, he noticed that Lily was already attacking, striking with a powerful Blizzard that began freezing everything in sight. Jacen crossed his arms and hoped for the best as he was struck down.

Lily made her way over to the ice covered Jacen, and poked him. No response. He seemed frozen this time-WHAP! Nope. Jacen hopped up and quickly Poison Jabbed her again. Lily fell back, tasting this damn poison again!

Lily: -10E/-16H ===///=== Jac: -7E/-14H

Lily grunted, knowing that even though the rain was here, it wasn't helping her, this damn fighter was stopping her blow for blow. Jacen popped out his blades and started swinging. Lily beganto run for cover, butthe icy ground-slick with rivers of water cutting into it, made that kinda hard. So, Lily threw seeds and seeds at the incoming slasher. Some of the Bombs connected, exploding and forcing Jacen to slow down.

But when the smoke and grass smell cleared, Jacen dove in and slashed Lily on the ground.

Lily: -8E/-18H ===///=== Jac: -7E/-11H

===Round 9===

The Gym is blanketed with a nice rainy mist, really giving the effect of rainforest. In this tropical setting Ayeun seems at home, sending out a fearsome Sceptile. It roars, and stamps in the wet mud for a bit, before it hears the metallic crunch of a Metagross behind him. Utra calmly stares it down, as Ecks starts to float, making rain fall to its sides around it for a few moments.Utr watches carefully....before making the first move. The Mud slows her down not one bit and she manages to land a direct punch right where the X bisects Ecks's face! Ecks goes spinning backwards, crashing through plants and vines!

Utr: -10E ===///=== Ecks: -7E/-13H

Ecks grunted and flew back into view, as Utra kept on the speedy offensive. She didn't realize just how fast a spinning UFO esque Pokemon was. She landed on Ecks with one kick, but slid off of his back since it was wet. As she flipped backwards, she swung her lagging left foot up, kicking Ecks and leaving it to spin as she landed. She righted herself and received a Sludge Bomb to the face. Ecks hisses and rights itself, floating back fro this eager Sceptile.

Utr: -5E/-14H ===///=== Ecks: -7E/-6H

Utra hisses and keeps at the metal beast. Her fist uppercuts the metal peast but it hits one of Ecks open hands. The metallic fighter had enough, it would seem. A strange draining feeling came from Ecks into Utra, and she smirked,..until she realized Ecks had her hand in a vicelike grip. Another hand raised up and fired a point blank Signal Beam right into Utra's face. Ecks let go right in the midst of the beam so she'd go flying.

You know, I always wondered what would happen if I did this, and I didn't win 'Unorthodox' for nothing.

Use a combination of Agility and Leaf blade. Get ON to the back of Ecks, and use the blades to HOLD ON.

From there, Use Earthquake, focusing the center of the tremor as Ecks back.

===Round 10===

Still floating for the time being, Ecks notes that Utra is eyeing it suspiciously. Utra scrapes the ground with one clawed hand, before diving into a full out run for Ecks. Ecks backs away, but Utra is moving closer at a much more rapid pace that Ecks anticipated, and so it is boarred by the speedy grass gecko.

This would have been fine, had it not been for the two spears of grass jamming themselves in critical joints in Ecks carapace, harming him a bit. With a free hind limb, Ecks manages to Punch the living crap out of Utra, trying to get her unjammed from its sockets.

Utr: -10E/-12H +2 Spd ===///=== Ecks: -6E/-5H

Ecks groans and tries to start spinning inorder to throw teh Sceptile off. Utra will not have this, and uses her leafy blades as appendages to transmit a forceful amount of energy through Ecks. Though floating, the metalic beast could do nothing about the amount of earthen energy being thrown inside it!

Ecks roared and began to roll to deal with the pain, making sure that Utra was hit every revolution. After a minute, Utra broke free, pained form being rolled on by a heavy, pissed off metallic disc.

Utr: -9E/-4H ===///=== Ecks: -4E/-20H

Utra stands up in the sloshy arena, and takes a deep breath. Her stomach is sore, but that's all. But Ecks, its nowhere to be seen. The Mist was not her friend right now.

All of a sudden, the silver hued disc rises out of the mist, its secretive work already done. It wobbled a bit and then set its legs back on the ground, Magnet Rise exhausted.

===Round 11===

Utra still seemed ok staying perfectly still. Ecks didn't mind the reprieve, and focused on rising to avoid and standard Earth attacks again. It was easier to do now that it had done it before. Once again though,a white hot glowing fist of anger slams into Ecks underbelly, sending it spinning in the rain.

Utr: -10E ===///=== Ecks: -6E/-13H

Ecks rotates back to a normal speed, only to see Utra atop of him with another attack. Damn this crazy grasser! Those elbow leaf blades come in handy for a hefty X-Scissor attack, right across where X already marks Ecks face. But the attack only seemed to anger Ecks, and he vowed revenge. Ecks spun and extended all 4 arms out. Spinning as if it was imitating a buzzsaw, Ecks slammed each fist over Utra's head repeatedly, like a string of Meteors raining down.

Utr: -7E/-11H ===///=== Ecks: -8E/-9H +Atk

Utra backs away from the spinning Ecks, who slows down and tucks 2 of those limbs away. One limb now builds up an icy fury, that Utra knows too well, and she darts in and tries to Crunch that limb off. Well, lucky for Ecks that it has 4 limbs. The other freelimb charges up the same attack, and bashes Utra away with it.

===Round 13===

With the mist gone, it makes it easier to see who's fighting whom. Dragonis releases Mara into this environment, and she takes a moment to familiarize herself with the terrain, an the rhythm of the sprinklers. Ayeun counters with a plucky lil' Jumpluff named Cotton (Rock Attack! -12). Cotton is pretty speedy, even in the rain! She bowls over there, and slashes Mara with her fluffy but sharp appendages. Mara does not retaliate. Instead, she dances in the rain, seemingly gearing her mind and body better oft this challenge.

Mara: -3E/-5H +2 ATK ===///=== Cot: -3E

Mara, taken aback by this attack, clenches her fist and surged with a right hook to clobber the Jumpluff. Well, that was the plan anyway. Jumpluff sped into the sky pretty danged fast, leaving Mara to trip over the force of her own swing. Righting herself, Mara looked left and right, before spying the pink Pluff puffing around up high.

Mara: -6E ===///=== Cot: -3E

Mara opened her fist to relax her muscles, before being struck by the speedy grass ball of fluff! It slammed into her hard enough, but Mara was able to hold herself together and counter with an Ice Punch right on Cotton's head. The 'puff felt an immesurably cold chill run through its body, and floated down toward the ground.

The sprinkler rain keeps falling, and Mara is unphazed by it all. She stands on guard, her hands raised defensively as the pink puff shakes its hands and throws off spores of a as of yet indeterminable nature. They fly at Mara, who yells, and creates an energy flux around her body. This flux flings the spores right back onto Cotton, and leave her immobilized!

Mara: -6E ===///=== Cot: -3E Par

Cotton, now soggy with rainwater and paralyzed, feels really encumbered and flutters down. Mara walks right over, and punches the Jumpluff, making her bounce along the water puddles. Mara smirks, this might be far too easy.

Mara: -5E ===///=== Cot: -28H *par*

Oh man. Mara seems just plain heartless as she delivers another Ice Cold punch to Cotton's face. Cotton goes flying backwards, and falls into a small pond that formed. Mara walks over and peers down at the water, spying the pink dot floating up. Cotton manages to burst free of the water, and of her current ailment and rattles Mara's mind with a mental assault.

Mara stumbles backwards as Cotton lands on a rock. This is not going well at all. Maybe the water will stop soon?

Dragonis seems to be tasting victory, but Ayeun hasn't even whimpered in the slightest. Her next competitor appears, a hefty crinoid whom seems pretty focused on sticking around for a while(Rock Attack! -6). In retaliation, Dragonis releases an eager Scizor, that buzzes around to get used to the water.

The drops become rhythmic to the speeding bug and he lands, feeling adequate and ready to start this battle. Cradily is however, more than ready, and pummels the bug with stones to start!

Cra: -5E ===///=== Sci: -3E/-8H +2 Atk

Cradily watched as Scizor got up from the first strike, burst forth and slammed his fist into Cradily's base, causing some severe damage. Scizor took a step back only to be pummeled by a heftier, second strike. These boulders were loosened from the ground, and thrown atop the steel bug, giving him something to think about.

Cradily groaned, but still looked pretty stable.

Cra: -7E/-18H ===///=== Sci: -3E/-11H

Scizor flapped his wings to achieve lift, and barreled for Cradily again. A second hefty strike of claw to rock gave Cradily a definite realization that this was for keeps, and she retaliated with a massive blast of earthen energy. This force blew Scizor back aways, giving the crinoid some much needed breathing room.

Cra: -5E/-20H ===///=== Sci: -4E/-8H

Cradily leaned her neck in the opposite direction to counter balance, and another Rock Slide would be her retaliation.

Cra: -7E/-20H ===///=== Sci: -4E/-11H

Scizor was pretty irate over all these rocks. So he quit the steel approach, and instead went for the animalistic route. He lunged and grapped her neck, before sinking his metallic coated teeth in. Cradily freaked, and used a sideways Rock Slide to get him off of her and keep him pinned, hopefully.

Cra: -7E/-22H ===///=== Sci: -4E/-11H

That alarm that was ringing, has now went off...and the rainwater has finally stopped!

===Round 18===

Oh JOY! The rain is over! Scizor looks up with relief that the constant downpour is over, he was fearing he'd start to rust. Now with a more favorable weather outcome, he buzzes for another bite. Cradily wavers in her weakened state, and notes when Scizor lunges onto her. She wriggles and forces rocks to fall on the both of them as Scizor bites down on her.
In seconds, they're buried under a mass of rubble.

Cra: -7E/-22H ===///=== Sci: -4E/-11H

The mass of conglomerates move, and there goes Scizor, battered but alive. Dragonis is unstoppable at this moment!

===Round 18===

We reach a very severe point in this match for Ayeun. She releases her 6th competitor in this match, a very elegant Roserade by the name of Frank (Rock Attack! -6). In response, Drag releases Sous, a Clefairy with a twinkle in his eye. The two Pokemon square off, and then Frank bends over backwards. Her flip allows her to grab a Ingrain Root near her feet, and she ties it to her leg, to give her the best mobility.

It also leaves her to be a sitting gun for the Fire Blast that Sous calmly builds up and launches. Frank screams as she's hit, the sunlight not helping matters at all. But the Sprinklers, they start once more, to her delight. Sous doesn't seem to mind the water.

Fra -24H ===///=== Sous: -10E

Frank, angered this thing has such a jump on it, decides to play it craftily and watches as Sous walks up very close to it. From its flowered hands come a spray of a Toxic substance. It lathers Sous, who ...doesn't even move. In fact Sous closes his eyes, holds out her hands and just takes deep breaths.

Fra -3E ===///=== Sous: -3E +SpA/D

Frank didn't like the immobilized Sous so close and she tried to back away. As she backs away, Frank releases a slew of leaves that cut up the Clefairy. Sous opens her eyes just then, and flexes her hands twice. A Ice Beam is built, aimed and shot right at Frank's chest. Frank goes flying back as far as the Ingrain root will allow, before hitting the ground.

Fra -4E/-17H ===///=== Sous: -8E/-5H

Finally, the Root gives her some much needed nourishment (+5)

===Round 19===

As the water rains down on what could very well be the last two Pokemon in this match, Frank has a wonderful idea. She conjours up spores in her hand petals, and flings them at the Clefairy. Sous walks through them, thinking himself immune-and launches a Psychic at Frank. It's the last thing Sous will do for now, as he falls over, asleep.

Fra -3E/-18H ===///=== Sous: -7E Slp

Utterly tired of getting railed on, Frank tries to decrease Sous's health as soon as possible by lathering it with poisonous spores. Spores that just seem to hover on Sous...but not really do anything.

Fra -3E ===///=== Sous: zzzZZZzz

Well, as long as it was not attacking, she could draw health from it. Her powers of nature helped in extracting some necessary health from Sous, trying to find a way to even this match out.

Fra -7E/+6H ===///=== Sous: zzzzz -11H

Finally, the Root gives her some much needed nourishment (+5)

===Round 20===

Sous snoozes silently, as Frank runs over and starts the draining process anew. She filters a good amount of health away, and watches as Sous shivers in visible pain. Sous starts to clap, and Frank giggles. That was a bit ironic.

Fra -7E/+6H ===///=== Sous: -4E/-11H

Frank continues the Giga Drain-and laughed, as that Encore by Sous seemed to be a simple waste. Sous lost more health, but this time, an attack flew from his sleeping form. It was a Doubleslap, and Frank was hit across the face at least 4 times.

Fra -7E/-5H/+6H ===///=== Sous: -4E/-11H

That stinking Clefairy couldn't have anything else up its sleeve right? Frank didn't think so, as she preformed a third Giga Drain. As that sweet sweet health nourished her battered body, Sous ran over and fired a small but potent Charge Beam at Frank. It had a beneficial side effect for Sous, even though he was still asleep.

===Round 21===

Sous continues to sleep as Frank whittles away at its health. Now was time for the definite game changer. Sous was close enough for Frank to charge up a huge amount of potential energy and charge forth, kicking Sous high into the sky. That was a hell of a kick., Sous flew to the roof, and bounced off the rafters before streaking back into the wet garden face first.

Sous was still asleep, and now spun around before unleashing a hidden Power! Just like that, brown lights flew from its form and rained on Frank, giving her small ouchies,

Fra -14E/-5H ===///=== Sous: -4E/-19H HP Grd

Sous however slept no more. Its mind forced it awake, and Sous felt the terrific amount of pain it had incurred since the last time it could remember. As Frak hacked and wheezed from using so much energy for that kick, he felt his whole body feel like it was ripped apart. Sous was back with a whole new ball game.

Fra -18H ===///=== Sous: -7E

Frank now tried to siphon any health away that it could, but Sous was already on the offensive. A hefty Psychic was fired, giving Frank a hell of a hard time.

Frank hisses, knowing this can turn sour is she lets it. So she foregoes the formalities and tries to heal. Ahhh, but the rain has not stopped yet. As such, her healing does not do the job as well as she would like. It still deters her from succumbing to the nasty Blizzard launched by Sous, who is wide awake and anxious to freeze this plant

Fra: -15E/-22H/+10H ===///=== Sous: -9E

Sous roused up another round of chilling cold to beam over to Frank. It struck Frank, and she wheezed. But no. She synthesized once more, causing another bounty of health to come her way.

Fra: -15E/-18H/+10H ===///=== Sous: -7E

Knowing she couldn't possibly take anymore, Sous fires a third Ice Beam. Frank holds her hands up and tries one last time as the waters start to shrink, and yes, she gets the health back, and no, she falls to her side from the ice beam. Sous watches pensively.
