I'm game. Don't care much about the arena, maybe the ref could pick...

I'll start off with Big Momma, my female Salamence.

Darth CookieMonster
2nd January 2011, 09:36 PM
Alright sounds good :D

Ref, whoever you are, most likely Dl, Grey, or Ayeun... you pick where you are reffing us. You make the Arena.

I choose T-Bone, my male Tyranitar, has the Sand Stream ability

His sand stream should kick up a Sanstorm right away. Get close and use Ice Punch, and while you are still close fire off a Toxic. Finish off with an Ice Beam attack.

Alright, you've snagged me, gents. This battle's going to have an interesting arena. It's called the Elements of Change:

Elements of Change
You are suspended high in the air, standing upon a pretty sizable platform. Starting at the end of the first round, two numbers from 1 to 17 will appear for each pokémon. The numbers represent one of the seventeen pokémon types. When the type is selected, both pokémon will have their types change to it, with weaknesses and resistances reflecting their new typing (for instance, Bulbasaur will become a Normal/Fire if 1 and 2 are shown).

I like it grey:)

Dragonis
2nd January 2011, 11:34 PM
It works for me too.

Momma, start off with Double Team, then go in for Brick Break twice.

Round 1
The two combatants, Darth and Dragonis, eye one another down before revealing their first pokémon to one another. Dragonis, staying true to his name, elects Big Mama, a terrifying salamence. Darth goes with T-Bone, an sinister tyranitar. Immediately upon entering the battlefield, T-Bone whips up a nasty sandstorm [ Sandstorm activated ] that begins buffetting against Mama's dry scales, irritating her greatly. She snarls viciously at T-Bone, who now feels intimidated by her presense [ -10% Atk T-Bone ].

Mama begins the first round of this epic battle by creating several clones that serve no purpose but to be eaten away by the sandstorm [ -5PP, -1HP Big Mama ]. Bone snickers at his foe's attempts to best him while charging at her with his icy fist. Violently, he slams it into her torso, causing great damage [ -13HP Big Mama / -5PP T-Bone ].

The salamence, even more irritated with the sandstorm, decides to give its maker no quarter as she climbs higher into the air before diving down, fist first, into Bone's forehead [ -14HP T-Bone / -5PP, -1HP Big Mama ], successfully knocking him to the ground. The large stonesaur picks himself back up before spitting out a deadly poison that slaps Mama's leg. Within seconds, the poisons enter her body, slowly draining her lifeforce away [ +3% Tox Big Mama / -5PP T-Bone ].

Big Mama takes to the air once more, eager to give this beast what-for! She does so [ -14HP T-Bone / -5PP, -1HP, -1HP Big Mama ], before getting slammed out of the sky by Bone's nasty ice beam [ -18HP Big Mama / -7PP T-Bone ].

As the first round reaches its close, the counter draped around Big Mama's neck reads 6-5. She suddenly feels a chill as her body temperature drops: ice and grass are her new types. T-Bone's reads 8-13, changing him to poison and keeping rock.

Round 2
Big Momma, still quite perturbed by the sandstorm, decides to let it go as she strengthens her resolve with a swift dragon dance [ +10% Atk, +10% Spd, -5PP, -2HP Big Momma ]. While she's doing that, Bone hits the icy dragon good with a blast of pure fire energy that eats away at her scales like a poison [ -24HP Big Momma / -10PP T-Bone ].

The salamence, no even more angry than before, merely stamps her foot down on the platform, sending a shockwave throughout. The earth rupture disorients Bone quite a bit [ -21HP T-Bone / -8PP, -2HP Big Momma ]. The tyranitar responds with a flamethrower, wrapping around the dragon quite easily [ -18HP Big Momma / -7PP T-Bone ].

The last verse is much similar to the previous, with Momma hitting Bone with an earthquake [ -21HP T-Bone / -8PP, -1HP Big Momma ] and him responding with another fire blast [ -19HP Big Momma / -10PP T-Bone ].

As Big Momma stumbles onto the arena floor, defeated, Bone counter ticks 3-5. Bone suddenly begins to regret the sandstorm he once relied on.

Round 3
Big Momma is quickly recalled and replaced by Snake Eyes, Dragonis' hitmonlee. The agile speedster immediately lunges at Bone and gives him a swift kick in the shins [ -4HP, -1HP T-Bone / -3PP, -1HP Snake Eyes ], making Bone completely unaware of what he was supposed to do next [ FLINCH ].

The tyranitar, however, keeps his cool and starts focusing. The calmness achieved allows him to think better, giving him strength [ -2PP, +50% Cri, -1HP T-Bone ]. But while he's getting that strength, Eyes flies at him with a venomous jab with his legs [ -12HP T-Bone / -6PP, -1HP Snake Eyes ].

Bone, now very angry, readies a devastating attack, but not before the hitmonlee charges at him with another powerful blow [ -8HP T-Bone / -6PP, -1HP Snake Eyes ]. T-Bone stammers back before exploding in a sudden surge of power. He hammers his fists down onto Snake Eyes fierecly [ -11HP Snake Eyes / -8PP, -1HP T-Bone ].

T-Bone retreats to his side of the platform, still enraged as his numbers come up once more: 14-16. Snake Eyes feels his type change for the first time as well, with 2-7.

Darth releases his second pokémon of the match: a sinister gengar named Orpheus. The spherical ghostmon cackles as he stares into the draconic hitmonlee before said hitmonlee pulls out a mirror from hammerspace. The hypnosis waves bounce off the mirror and back to Orpheus, lulling himself into sleep [ -3PP, +100% Slp Orpheus / -6PP Snake Eyes ].

Snake Eyes takes complete advantage of Orpheus' slumber by flexing his muscles, giving himself strength [ +10% Atk, +10% Def / -5PP Snake Eyes ]. Orpheus... just sleeps [ +3PP Orpheus ].

Still snoozing, Orpheus remains motionless as Snake Eyes slams into his toxic body with his stoney foot, causing heavy damage [ -11HP Orpheus / -8PP Snake Eyes ].

The numbers change once more. For Orpheus: 11-2, and for Snake Eyes: 2-5.

As Orpheus continues to snooze about, he begins murmuring. As he does so, Snake Eyes (with said eyes closed) begins a meditation ritual that steadily raises his attack prowess [ +10% Atk, -3PP Snake Eyes ], before getting slammed in the torso by Orpheus's snoozing thunderpunch [ -5HP Snake Eyes ].

The fighting pokémon responds by using his newfound strength to summon a collage of rocks to slam down upon the unconscious specter [ -12HP Orpheus / -5PP Snake Eyes ], instantly waking him up. Orpheus, groggy and unhappy, remembers his orders and claps his hands together, creating a sudden blizzard effect that scoops up Snakes Eyes and sends him to the platform floor [ -12HP Snake Eyes / -10PP Orpheus ].

Annoyed, Snake Eyes summons the same volley of rocks to rain down upon Orpheus [ -12HP Orpheus / -5PP Snake Eyes ], causing the apparition to back away in horror [ FLINCH ], unsure just how to react.
