After nearly a year after its initial announcement, the Nintendo 3DS is finally available to the general public... at least in Japan. The rest of the world will still have to wait another month.

The 3DS will feature classic Gameboy and Gameboy Color games on its virtual console service which will be launching in May. Only two VC games have been confirmed so far: Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, however it's possible that they may be joined by classic Pokémon games in the future, such as Red and Blue versions, but no Pokémon games have been confirmed yet. So far, one Pokémon cartridge game has been announced for the 3DS. Nothing is known about it including its title, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as information becomes known.

A local game shop is selling DSlite for a 'shock price', 79€, now. They seem to be trying to sell out the system before 3DS comes.
