In response to the recent earthquake in Japan, rumors have been circulating around Twitter that Game Freak president and Pokémon creator Satoshi Tajiri has died.
However, according to Nintendo of America's own Twitter feed, nobody within the company was injured.
NoA: "Thanks for your concern! During the earthquake no one at Nintendo in Japan was injured and there was no apparent structural damage."
That said, the earthquake has claimed at least 1,000 lives and caused extensive damage throughout Japan. Our condolences go out to those who have lost their homes and/or loved ones in this devastating natural disaster.
