Alright Olso lets make this interesting how about this Jotho Starters Vs. Hoenn Starters?

Pokémon:3 on 3 triple battle.

Osloki Island - A previously uncharted Caribbean island it was first discovered by Oslo, he toke the name Oslo when he became a herald to Osloki...

Not long after words did Charles along with deadwood Zen show up to look for there missing shipmate, however for some unknown reason Deadwood Zen vanished leaving Charles and Oslo to battle to appease Osloki or suffer his wrath.

It’s night here and the only light comes from the hanging moon and the many wooden torches lining the shore. The fronds of innumerable palm trees sway in the night breeze and, right where the beach meets the treeline, the indestructible tiki of the island god, Osloki, watches over the battle.

Every so often, you’re encouraged to offer Osloki a blessing in the form of any damage-dealing attack. Osloki will store these blessings and keep track of how much damage has been dealt to him with a damage meter. When Osloki is offered 50 HP of damage, the wooden tiki will mysteriously come to life. If you’re the one who was quick enough to issue that final attack that brought Osloki to 50 HP, then he will assist you by placing a curse upon your opponent. This curse might manifest itself in the form of damage, a status or something else nasty. Nothing too game-changing, though. After Osloki places a curse on someone, his damage meter will return to 0 HP and the process will repeat itself.

Osloki is a rather vain god (but what deity isn’t?) and will smite you if you choose not to offer him blessings, however. If either battler goes ten actions without offering Osloki a blessing, then he’ll automatically come to life and curse them… so yeah, you be kind now.

Looks over to my ship and sees my Snorlax "Sloppy Joe bring out the ref we captured the other day!"

Ooh, how fun! If the ref wants to get a better feel for this arena, I encourage them to check out its original appearance in this (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21357) battle. Of course, since this is a 3 on 3 triple battle, it will probably be over before the Osloki element can really come into play.

And Johto vs. Hoenn starters sounds like a neat idea, except I don't have a Sceptile. :s: What if I just selected three random Pokes instead? How about that?

Alrighty! I'll use a Hoenn-themed lineup nonetheless.

I call out Buddhette (my female Medicham with Pure Power), Del Monte (my male Ludicolo with Rain Dish) and Love (my male Absol with Pressure).

Buddhette, start with a Fake Out against Snappy. Then hit him with two Grass Knots.

Del, lead off with Rain Dance. Then use Leech Seed against Cinders and finish with a Blizzard.

Love, begin with Swords Dance. Then use Toxic against Cinders and Will-O-Wisp against Spicy.

This match is between Oslo and Charles Legend, it is taking place on a mysterious new island recently conquered by Oslo himself. Both trainers send out their pokeballs, with a flash of red light the pokemon appear on the field. Charles choosing a Meganium, Typhlosion and a Feraligatr, while Oslo has decided to go with Medicham, Ludicolo and an Absol. Buddhette gets things off to a flying start by rushing across the field and grabs Snappy by the neck before dealing a swift set of slaps back and forth across his face before leaping back to her original position, Snappy is so disoriented from the attack he can just stand there holding his head in a daze. Spicy looks at her staggered foe then sets her eyes on Buddhette, she waggles her leaves creating a sweet melody which seems to effect Buddhette as she goes to sleep. Del Monte enters the fray by doing a small little dance, this offering seems to bring the clouds in the sky together and turn them a dark grey. Bolts of lightning cackle through them before a deluge of water berates the field. Cinders shakes off the water flaming body and raises his head to the sky firing a blast of flame into the clouds, then as quick as they came, the clouds left only leaving the sun shining down again. Love prepares herself for the coming rounds by performing a small martial art style dance to increase her strength.

Buddhette tries to get herself on her feet again, but the sleep that grips her is just too powerful so she keeps on snoozing. Spicy laughs as she once again sends out her sweet song, this time aimed at Del Monte. He tries as hard as he can to not give into it, yet like Buddhette he slumps down to the ground snoring loudly. Cinders takes this chance and starts running towards the slumbering Del Monte at high speed, as he runs a weird combination of yellow and red energy surround him. Being encased in this brilliant display he slams his body right into Del Monte flinging him across the beach before coming to a rolling stop. Love sees both her comrades laying on the beach in a deep sleep and doesn't think that is all very fair, so in an attempt to tip the scales she fires a big purple glop of acid right into Cinder's face causing him to reel back in pain. Snappy watches in horror as Cinder's blindly staggers around the field and gets revenge by throwing his entire body at Love creating a hole in the sand with her at the bottom, yet it took a little more out of him the he had planned.

Once again Buddhette is forced to stay in her dream world a little while longer, Del Monte joins her as well as he sleeps in the crudely made ditch formed by his previous landing. Spicy thinks that she can go for a hat trick and starts the sweet whistle once again, yet Love isn't going to comply and sends a trio of tiny red floating orbs right at Spicy burning her pale green skin and turning that sweet melody into a shrill shriek. Snappy manages to regain his composure and once again rams himself right into Love sending her flying into a nearby palm tree.

Buddhette is still fast asleep but manages to get off a slight attack by opening her mouth and letting out a loud yawn, this yawn creates a small faux image of Buddhette which floats over to Del Monte and fires a bunch of needles into his back making him feel a lot better. Cinders sets his sights on the sleeping Del Monte once again with a fierce attack backed up by a large spark of electricity. Cinders races across the beach and slams his entire body into the slumbering Del Monte pushing him back, though as he is slowly blasted through the air Del Monte snaps out of his deep sleep and using his new found speed lands on the ground and rushes over to Cinders, picking him up and throwing him across the field. Spicy lets loose a sweet smelling scent which wafts over her party with both her and Cinders breathing in deeply, letting the sweet smell take all their ailments away. Snappy begins to dance around in a very weird yet agile manner, the dance seems to be getting him ready for his next attack but just before he can finish Love jumps from across the other side of the field snatching away the benefits of the dance leaving Snappy distraught.

Cinders breathes in a breath of fresh air knowing that his body has been finally purged of the poisons which previously had afflicted him, he starts one of his charges again his body generating a static charge as he goes along ramming his body into Del Monte once again. Del Monte is ready for this again though as he grabs Cinders right after the attack and uses the left over energy to pick up Cinders and tombstone him into the ground. Spicy looks at Buddhette and opens her mouth turning her head upwards to the sun, a small ball of energy begins to form before getting bigger and bigger. The ball of solar energy reaches its peak and Spicy fires it directing it straight at Buddhette, the beam hits her body and rolls her over and over in the sand before finally waking her up. Her response to this is that she collects a bunch of nearby rocks and throws them right at Cinders covering him and crushing him under their weight. Snappy watches as Cinders desperately claws his way out of the rocks and lets out an angry snort. He starts making his way over to Love once again and lowers his body to the ground before sweeping his hands into Love's legs knocking her to the ground, Love quickly regains her footing and jumps into the air and rams her body into Snappy's chest.

All of Charles's team turn around the giant Osloski statue and opens their mouths, each of them fires a concentrated beam of energy of their respective types. When the attacks hit home the statue glows a brilliant white and absorbs all the damage, suddenly a loud thunder crack is heard and some clouds roll across the sky. The head on the statue spins round once and its eyes light up, "This offering is acceptable" it says in a loud booming voice. The statue then turns its head towards Oslo's team "For not worshipping me you shall all be punished", the air around the statue starts to crackle, forming small lightning bolts start to form and flash then dissipate. Suddenly a yellow spirit rises from the statue and heads over to Oslo's team, the spirit lets out an evil laugh as it puts its arms forward and electrocutes all of Oslo's pokemon. Buddhette, Del Monte and Love roll around in pain as their muscles are constricted by the electricity paralysing them so severely that they can't even manage an attack.

Well in game the Pledge's do stuff differently depending on what order they are used in, like Water halves opponents speed if used after Grass Pledge. But according to ASB dex they are powered up if used in conjuction with others. So since 3 Pledge moves are used on the same turn then shit seems to go down. Like if they all have a base power of 60 and double in power with each pledge used.

60 x 2 = 120, 120 x 2 = 240, then STAB bonus raises it to 360. 3 x 360 attacks on the same target messes shit up.

Okay, makes sense. I'm realizing, then, what should have happened: since there are three times as many Pokemon on the field, Osloki's HP requirement should have been raised to 150 HP. (Not your fault, obviously, since you were just reffing the field as it was explained.) As it is, the function is kind of broken, because Charles can keep Pledging and I'll just keep suffering random icky statuses. :s: I don't believe, since Osloki is typeless, my Pokemon can get him to 50 HP with one turn.

But that's okay! Too late to change midstream. I'll post my attacks tonight and remember this for the future if I ever ref/battle here again. ;)

Spicy gets the ball rolling by looking at Cinders and starts undulating her leaves again sending out a sweet scent which travels under his nose invigorating his body giving him more reason to fight. Buddhette gets back onto her feet but is quickly knocked down again as the paralysis grips her body rendering her immobile. With so much new energy flowing through his body Cinders charges over to Love and picks her up before slamming her into the ground and runs away. Snappy follows his team mates and punches Del Monte in the face with an icy fist knocking the giant maraca to the ground. Love and Del Monte look at each other than to their immobile friend Buddhette and something clicks in their heads, they are going to do things a little dirty. Del Monte bounds over to Snappy and grabs on tightly with his hands and begins sucking Snappy's life energy smiling evilly as he drinks his pain. Love's head scythe begins to glow a bright green, she then slices it straight through Spicy's leaves causing her to rear back in pain.

Buddhette recovers from her paralysis and directs a small nod in her teammates direction, all 3 of them jump up and rush over to their opponents. Buddhette gathers up some left over rocks and covers Cinders in them trapping him under their heavy weight, Love opens her mouth and releases a storm of icy blue death which covers Spicy under a blanket of ice and snow, Del Monte rips up some nearby vines and combines them into a weird sphere of grassy knots and hurls it like a bowling ball at Snappy, the vines release as soon as they hit him and wrap around his legs causing him to face plant into the ground. Spicy shakes off the snow and sends another heavenly pulse of healing energy at Cinders, however it takes more out of her then it did before. Snappy and Cinders rush over to Del Monte and Love and begin to violently punch their targets unmercifully.

Snappy, Spicy and Cinders look at the Osloski statue and they begin to perform a weird chant before opening their mouths and firing 3 different coloured beams which fuse together into one large stream which hits the statue almost completely filling his meter but just falling short. Oslo's team also goes for a coordinated attack but as soon as they start to move Del Monte's muscles start to spasm and he falls to the ground. Spicy, Cinder and Snappy all huddle together and start to charge up their attacks, Spicy conjuring up a large ball of sunlight which she concentrates into a beam fired directed right at Buddhette while Cinders flames erupt violently into a shower of flames directed at Love. Snappy goes for a more hands on approach as he runs at Del Monte then proceeds to slash him with his giant claws. Love tries to get an attack off at Osloski but the paralysis messing around with her body takes its toll and forces her into the ground stunned. Buddhette’s body loosens up allowing her to focus her energy on Love and starts copying her body’s strengths and weaknesses making them her own. Del Monte is also feeling a little more limber as he starts dancing around the field summoning a giant rain cloud which begins to cover the field in a light shower.

Spicy and Cinders begin to charge up the same attacks again except with very different results, Spicy seems to be the most surprised as it is taking her a lot longer than normal to charge up her ball of sunlight while Cinders attack is severely weakened by the rain that is beating down. Snappy once again rushes at Del Monte and slashes him with his large claws, but he is then surprised as Del Monte picks him up on the ground and slams him straight down and is then assaulted by Buddhette and a flurry of electric powered punches. Love’s body releases its tight grip and she quickly bashes the statue over the head, suddenly the statues eyes glow and its head turns towards Charles Team and a purple beam of energy washes over the 3 of them causing a thick poisonous sludge to enter their bodies.

Spicy continues charging up her ball of energy quite sure that she will be able to use it in a matter of moments, Cinders fires another powered down burst of flames at Love. She tries to respond by the paralysis once again grips her body leaving her motionless. Snappy sets his sights on the recently activated Statue and fires a giant gush of water straight at it dealing massive amounts of damage nearly powering it half way up, however this attack takes a lot out of him so he will need a moment to rest. Buddhette watches Snappy sit on the ground to start to regain his energy she races towards him and gives him another charged up punch in the gut. Del Monte uses the rain to his advantage as he also creates a wave of water which heads towards Cinders and douses him under a ton of water.

Spicy still with the ball of energy powering up in her mouth finally has enough of it to launch, she tilts her head back down and aims it at Buddhette before releasing its full potential right at Buddhette pushing her back across the beach. Buddhette gets up off the ground and picks up a few rocks which are just lying around and hurls them at Cinders who cringes in pain as each one of them slams against his body. Del takes a look at Snappy who is breathing heavily still recharging from his last attack; Del takes his time as he strides over to Snappy and begins siphoning away his energy draining the last of it sending him down into the ground. Cinders watches as Snappy falls into the mud and a flash of anger passes across his eyes as he charges full speed right into the giant dancing frog picking him up and hurling him across the field. Love darts around the field putting up a protective barrier to guard her against incoming attacks and heads right for Spicy, she lowers her horn once again and jabs it into her side causing Spicy to let out a roar.

Spicy and Cinders get their act together again and both take up their charge, Spicy picking up Buddhette with her vines and slowly crushing her body before using them to slam her into the ground while Cinders charges full on at Del Monte once again pushing him back across the field. Buddhette gets up and tries to attack but the paralysis grips her body and she falls back onto the sandy beach. Del Monte and Love focus their attention on Spicy and unleash a wave of blizzard hell and a devastating slash across her back; the damage is too much for her as she also hits the dust just leaving Cinders alive.

With her energy drained Love can’t do anything but lay on the ground while she regains the energy needed to continue the fight, Buddhette tries to get up but once again the paralysis kicks in and it sends her down into the ground. This just leaves Del Monte to bat at the plate, Cinders starts charging at him in a mourning induced rage. Del Monte opens his mouth and releases a massive spout of water which washes over Cinders as he charges not even stopping him an inch but definitely inflicting a large amount of pain, he manages to overcome the pain and hits Del Monte sending him flying. There is a brief second of silence before Del Monte hits the beach again and begins rolling across the beach kicking up sand. Cinders stands his ground looking victorious though suddenly the poison sends a wave of pain across his body sapping the last of his health sending him into the ground and making Oslo the winner of this match.
