View Full Version : Who's at work right now?

Yours truly, that's who.

Couple fun things to note about this: firstly, I'm effectively the "guy in charge" at my place of business. We're a satellite branch but our main location is a 2-hour drive from here, so my employers only come over once every couple of weeks to deliver supplies and pep talks. When they're not here, I'm the ranking employee - official title is "senior technician". Lemme just puff my chest out a little bit...

We don't normally have a computer at my shop, but today I brought my laptop because I knew I'd be bored. Why? Because I'm the only employee in here right now. Our other guys are out on business routes and they needed someone to stick around here because we've put an ad in the paper... need some new employees. My job is to sit here and have them fill theirs out, talk with them for a couple minutes, figure out who should get a full interview and who shouldn't get the time of day, that sort of thing. I'm doing that for 6 hours today.

I'm not exactly doing this under the radar, either. My bosses are aware I bring my laptop, especially for instances like this. They've never told me to knock it off. Days like this, I'm pretty thankful I have a job and employers that allow for me to simultaneously goof off and get paid.

A guy just came in and he's about done with his app. Gotta run!

Who else is playing around on TPM while on the clock?

I don't TPM from work. Mainly because I'm too busy at work to check TPM, and also because why the hell would I check a Pokemon forum at work. Besides, like 90% of websites are blocked at work, I'd imagine TPM is as well.

I'm at work. I sell pokemon games and other nintendo gb, gba and ds games and consoles. Also sell DVDs and books. Want to look at selling ps1 games etc as well.

Just started a few weeks ago as was sick of being poor. Should also start selling Nintendo consoles though not the snes cause I can't seem to find them cheap anywhere in NZ. Also Pokemon GB and GBA games are worth just as much and often more valuable than Diamond, Pearl or even Platinum. Always find that interesting and pokemon games generally seem to get way more than other games. Though fucking sucks when your sapphire game has the "Internal Battery has run dry" cause then you get half of what you'd usually get. And I should so download shinies onto the games cause idiots will be enthralled by them.

Oh and I can look up any site I want including gay porn cause work is on my computer. Got a new computer too its a HP cause my compaq went and died. :(

I can't browse TPM at work. Our company firewall blocks pretty much everything that can even remotely be considered as "fun". Access denied.

I can't browse at school sadly because the DOE blocks everything that isn't related to school.

This.

Except at my work they also block things which could actually be USEFUL in assisting clients. Bleh.

Is this thread asking if you're employed, or if you're accessing TPM from work?

Not me. And not because I'm off.

I broke my damn ankle at home, and now it has me laid up for anywhere from six to ten weeks (at the most).

I hate my life, sitting around with nothing to do, because, as the doctor often reminds me, I HAVE to stay off the foot completely until the ankle is better.
I feel like a sloth, just hanging out and not moving much.

As for the Internet, that hasn't been hooked up since I moved, so I'm using my I- Phone and the Safari web browser to keep up with things right now.

And did I mention my life sucks right now? :(

I'm sort of always at work. I mean, when I'm at university I'm definitely at work, but since I also have to do a lot of work at home and there's never enough time to finish it all, then I spend most of my time multitasking and at any time in the day, if my computer's turned on, odds are that at least one of the things I'm doing is work.

I'm at work after coming back from tour. Just heard manager and friend having an arguement. Brilliant. Welcome back, Beck!

Nobody ever surfs the Internet during office hours. If someone ever does that, I will salute that person. In my office, there will be phone calls every five minutes on average. If the phone calls does not kill you, the sheer workload will. Every ten minutes, your sales will keep emailing you about their stocks. That's the reality you will be facing if you ever work in my office.
