Nintendo has just revealed the Wii U, their next console which will succeed the Wii.

The Wii U will use a new controller that includes both traditional game controls and a 6.2-inch touchscreen. The console will be backwards-compatible with all Wii games and accessories, and will support resolutions up to 1080p.

No new Pokémon games have been announced yet for the new system, but we do know that we'll be seeing Pokémon characters in a different game series coming to Wii U: the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game that was announced, along with a counterpart for 3DS.

I'd bitch about the name, but the last time Nintendo unveiled a console with a goofy-ass name, it sold a bajillion units and gave me Super Mario Galaxy. So yeah.

I want a wii u badly. I may have to get my family or friends to help me pay for it, tho, and it looks to be another milestone console from nintendo.
